"3, 2, 1," Marinette said before the two girls ran into the fog. Almost immediately their vision begin to diminish exponentially. Suddenly the two girls started to get close to each other. But they kept up a brisk pace. Marinette kept her spare arm out in front of them. No matter what she tried to keep looking ahead. The Marinette felt something brush past her.

"What was that?" Sparrow said quickly.

"Not sure," Marinette looking around but only saw a green shadow.

"Maybe I should," Marinette though to herself as she slowly started to raise her arm. "Wait no with Sparrow it's too risky."

Before Marinette could think anything further she felt something push in-between them. Whatever it was it was strong. In fact, strong enough to push the girls apart from each other and for Marinette to fall on her back. She still couldn't make out whatever the creature was, only that it was green.

"Knight!" Sparrow yelled out from the fog.

"Owl!" Marinette called as she got back on her as she rubbed her a little. Hearing a little sound she saw Tikki poking a little arm out from the handkerchief.

"I don't see Sparrow," Marinette thought as she took around. "And she hasn't called out again. Hope she's not hurt. She could be on her way but now I must take this risk."

Taking a deep breath in, Marinette reached into her bag and gently touched Tikki's arm with her index finger.

"Tikki Kwami of Creation lend me the power only you can bestow!"

Upon saying those words, Marinette felt a surge flow through out her body. Her earring tingled a little, and glowed a little Quickly she clenched her fist and threw it into the air.

"Lucky Charm!" She quietly shouted as she swiftly raised her arm in the air and opened her hand. A red burst of light came from it before taking the shape if a red shield with black spots. "Could be worse."

Suddenly a scream broke through the fog.

"Sparrow!" Marinette called as she ran towards the scream. She could make out the green figure on top of Sparrow, seemingly gabbing her hood. who was using a stick and trying to push it off her.

"Get off of me!" Sparrow shouted in between huffs of breath.

Marinette clenched her shield tightly before charging at the figure. Luckily she was able to push it off of Sparrow but not before it too a chuck of Sparrow's hood and mask with it.

"Are you okay?" Marinette asked before gasping. "Princess Jessica!"

"The princess! Where?" Sparrow jumped up and looked around before touching her face and seemingly noticing the missing pieces. "Oh no..."

"Stand behind me." Marinette said running in front of the princess.

"Here we go..."

"I don't think the stick is the best weapon..."

"Oh." Jess looked over her stick. "Yeah you do have a point."

Soon the figure started to stand back up again. Marinette gripped her shield tightly. Jess for her part, gripped her stick and held in front. At least she wasn't going down without a fight. The figure growled and began to charge before suddenly coming to a halt and stopping.

"Oh my greatest apologies," it said before it shifted into the form of an elderly man. "I was unaware a member of the royal family was here."

"W-who are you?" Marinette asked not lowering her shield one bit.

"Ah I should have excepted that." The old man chuckled a little. "I am Wang Fu, the Guardian of the Library of Jade."

"The Old Library of Jade!" Jess cheered dropping her stick. "That's what we've been looking for!"

"Aha yes I guess now it should be called that. I do appreciate a princess coming herself." Wang Fu turned around. "Please follow me we are close."

"He could tell that was Princess Jess," Marinette thought to herself. Jess started to follow the old man. Marinette went to reach out to stop her hesitated. Queen Barbara did mention a spirit was guarding the place, so it wasn't out of the question that this old man was said spirit. Still, she kept her shield on guard.

Before Marinette could protest, Jess grabbed her hand and started pulling Marinette with her. With every step Marinette gripped her shield tighter and tighter. Before she knew it, the building started to appear. It appeared somewhat decrypted, with vines growing all around it. But still beautiful with no paint chips and even the wood wasn't weathered. Perhaps this really was the spirit of the Old Library of Jade. Marinette figured it would make sense for him to somewhat upkeep the place. The spirit proceeded to knock on a section of the wall and door materialized before opening on it's own.

"Come on in," he said with a smile.

Upon entering the Library, Marinette froze, dropping her shield in the process which disperse into a couple of small ladybugs. Around her were artifacts, manuscripts, and even some books from the olden times. From the onlook it appeared the barely aged a day. Inside the library their was minimal furnishing, then again a spirit, like Fu probably didn't need much.

"So," Fu said once they were inside and the door closed behind them. "What brings you the Library."

"My mother, Queen Barbara of the Quantic Kingdom has a meeting with diplomats from the Kingdom of Prodigious," Princess Jess said with conviction that Marinette hardly recognized her. "We were hoping to retrieve a jade flute my ancestors were given many years ago."

"Ah so that is why your mother sent you," Fu chuckled a little. "I can retrieve for you but I request something from either one of you."

"What might that be?" Marinette asked jumping in front of the princess.

"Oh nothing much just some information."

"Information?" Both girls let out in surprise.

"Yes the downside to guarding such a library like this is a lot of information becomes outdates." Fu sighed a little. "I understand the importance of preserving these old written work but I am quite the curious fellow. If isn't much trouble I would like to know some stuff. I do get updates occasionally mostly on the royal family but they are sparse. And if it help I can bring the jade flute out to prove my honesty."

The two girls glanced and each other before nodding in agreement.

"Very well I shall fetch it."

"So you mothers didn't fully trust us with this flute?" Marinette turned to Jess with a slight playful tone in voice and a raised eyebrow.

"Remember what I said about wanting to prove myself?" Jess asked and Marinette nodded. "What I said was true. My mother, Queen Barbara specially, figured some missions like this could be good way to spread my wings. But she was worried about how everyone would react to having the crowned princesses. So we came up with the idea of Sparrow. A young fledging knight. I even went through the process of basic training and the like. And we lucked out with me passing by this mission."

"Do you mind if I look at your hood?" Jess raised and eyebrow but still passed it over to her. Marinette dug into her bag and pulled a small kit. "Always carry a sewing kit on me. Never know when you might need it."

"Wait does this..."

"Yup your secret is safe with me your highness." The two girls broke out in a quick laughter.

Soon the spirit returned, holding a deep gold colored box. Gently he placed it on the table in front of them. Carefully he opened, said box. Marinette's mouth dropped opened. The Jade Flute was absolutely breathtaking. The instrument was craved entirely of the precious gemstone. Allowing it to have a shine to it. She wasn't sure how practical it could be as an instrument but Fei had mentioned to her before about how rare it was. This had to have been a special gift from the old rulers.

"Now your part of the deal." Fu still held onto the box with one hand, keeping close to him. His other hand was on

"What is it you would like to know?"

"Hmm well do you know anything going on in Prodigious?"

"Oh I do have family there!" Marinette said excitedly.

"Anything on a new Renren?"

"Oh no not that I'm aware," Marinette looked down at the floor, still working on her sewing.

"From my knowledge," Jessica begin. "The signs of their returns have been appearing. From the blue lightning and animal spirits emerging. Unfortunately my knowledge is limited on the subject. If able I could try and return and update this after the meeting."

"Even Jess knows more about Mom's homeland than me," Marinette thought to herself.

"Anything else you know about this kingdom?"

"My knowledge is limited but I have been researching their cultures and traditions for the incoming representatives."

"A princess who understands her duty." Fu gave a warm smile. "It seems the Quantic Kingdom shall be in good hands in the future."

"I do the best that I can."

Gently Fu closed the box before pushing it towards Jess.

"Take good care of this."

"I promise nothing will happen to this." Jess gingerly placed the box in her bag.

"I do have one last request." Jess and Marinette looked up at him. He handed both girls a scroll. "On each I have a question for both of you. And they're charmed when your done to return to me. I will also dispel my fog charm to help you find your way back. I do hope though you shall return. I do have quite the knowledge stored here if needed."

"Thank you very much sir." Both girls with a bow. The smiled and started to walk out. They stood out for a second as Marinette finished the stitch job and handed it back to Jess who was quick to return her Sparrow disguise.

"I wonder what this says." Jess unrolled her scroll. "Oh it's about the meeting with the representatives. I can do that easily. What does you say?"

"Hmm," Marinette unrolled her scroll. "Oh it's asking about my missions."

"I wonder what that says?" Jess asked pointing to the strange writing written underneath it.

"Probably just the charm he put on the scroll." Marinette shrugged as she placed the scroll in her bag. "Let's go find the others."

The two girls headed off. With Jess holding her bag tightly. Eyes glancing at it every few seconds. Hopefully they would find the others soon and show them the flute. Or at least the box it came in.

But meanwhile in Marinette's bad, Tikki started to unroll the scroll herself. Careful to make sure no one noticed what she was doing. But once she managed to roll out enough she gasped. Written on it was, How did you end up with the kwami of creation?
