Hello everyone, so I found some stories where Arizona and Meredith had gotten together, and I just couldn't stop thinking about it. So I had to write, and with some thought, I decided to post the first chapter. It's a fast moving story, but why wait right? Let me know what you think if i should continue or not. Thanks...
"dammit" I groan tossing my pen on the pile of charts I was signing. I'm not sure why I brought them home, and in all honesty, I don't think I was supposed to, but I did, what's anyone going to do? Fire me? I scoffed at that thought. They wouldn't dare fire me. Leaning forward to grab the pen again, I start in on another. The ache behind my eyes was turning into a small headache, and the muscles in my back and neck were sore from being leant over this damn table for so long. Tossing the pen again "fuck" I groan, pulling my glasses off and tossing them the same direction my favorite pen had went. Rubbing my eyes, I let out moan as I feel a pair of, small but strong hands on my shoulders, massaging at the tired muscles there. "oh yes, right there"
"maybe you should take a break" the owner of said hands said just above my ear, nipping at my earlobe.
"I would but I need to get these done"
"come on Dr. Robbins, you need to relax. Let me help you do just that" I look up and see the perfect body of my gorgeous wife. I watch as she grabs the hem of her shirt and pulls it over her head, trying to be smooth, but it got caught in her dirty blonde hair, finally freeing her hair she tossed it onto the floor. Next came her bra, which she tossed at me, smiling I catch it, as my breath hitches in my throat. Biting my lip to keep the moan at bay, every time I see those glorious mounds, my heart starts to race, I can feel the wetness begin to soak my panties. Moving a bit in my chair to get some friction, I hear her chuckle "Dr. Robbins you've been a naughty girl"

My eyes pop open, "what the fuck was that" the room was dark, as most on call rooms are, this one in particular didn't have any windows just the way I like it. I reach for my phone to check the time, letting out a groan as I see it's just after one am. I also see that I have a couple text messages, opening the app I feel butterflies at reading the sender's name. The first text read "hey just wondering if you wanted to take the kiddos to breakfast in the morning? Can't wait to see you" the time stamp says it was sent at around 11 pm. Which means I have been in this room for over 4 hours. Shaking my head trying to get the remanence of that dream that had woken me out, I read the second "shit sorry you're probably in surgery, just reply when you can, I'm heading in now" now I have to chuckle. Meredith and I have become close after that disastrous dinner party. Deciding not to reply I toss my phone onto the bed and reach for my prosthetic, sliding it into place, I stand to find my pants. And am startled when the door flies open and the light flicks on, staring wide eyed at the intruder, me in my underwear and a tank top. Normally I wear shorts under my pants in case I need to adjust my prosthetic, but I left the house in a hurry today. I watched as everything seem to be in slow motion, but yet happened really fast. Meredith moves across the floor as if she's gliding, the next thing I know she has her arms around me and her lips are on mine.

Quickly shutting the door, I'm not sure what came over me, seeing Arizona standing there in just her underwear sparked something inside of me. I'm not sure how but I walked across the room, the next thing I knew I had her in my arms and my lips found hers. For a moment I lost all thoughts of anything. I swipe my tongue over her bottom lip, when our tongues met… fireworks, shockwaves, the bombing of Hiroshima. I wasn't sure but this had my body lit. Before I know what's happening Arizona turns me around and pushes me down on the bed. Our lips never breaking contact, her lips are so soft, and she tastes. God I can't even describe what I am tasting. Arizona breaks the kiss to pull off her tank top, I reach my arm around her back and unclasp her bra. As she removes it, my center is tingling, waiting for, "oh god" I let out a moan as she slides her leg right where I need it. She was going in for my neck, but the sound of my voice brings her back to reality, I think anyway. "Meredith" she whispers, so softly I almost didn't hear it. "hmm"
"are you" she starts "are you sure?"
"god yes Arizona" I reach up moving her hair out of her face, I made sure to say her name so she knows that I know it's her that's almost naked on top of me. "just making sure, because once I start, I'm not going to be able to stop" I lean up and pull my shirt over my head, then unclasp my bra tossing both items onto the floor, to be found later. I can hear her stifle a moan, even though it's dark in the room, we can still see each other. She moves off me, as I reach down pulling down my scrub pants and panties at the same time. Waking again, this time I'm not alone, and I'm naked, I'm confused for a second, but then I start to freak out. Her hand is cupping my boob, and I'm a little confused by what happened, did it happen? Or was it another dream. The sound of an alarm going off wakes her, I have to stifle a moan as she squeezes my nipple. Turning in the bed to try and get to her phone. With it now quiet in the room she lays back down, her head now on the pillow next to mine "hi" I smile
"hi" she smiles back then leans over placing a soft kiss on my lips "you never answered me about breakfast" I let out a giggle and shake my head no, intending on saying no I didn't answer you, but she took that as a no to her question "oh, um, well I should"
"Mer" I say softly, she turns to look at me "I'd love to have breakfast with you" I see her smile, then lean in giving me a kiss "I'm gonna go shower quick, I'll meet you in the lobby in 30?"
"sounds good" I smile as I watch her get dressed. I contemplate showering too, but I don't want to get up just yet. Once Meredith is dressed she leans over the bed again "I'll see you in a bit" she says placing a kiss on my lips and leaves the room. Once the door is shut, I let out a deep sigh. I just had sex with Meredith Grey, in the same on call room as I has sex with… no, no, no I will not think of her. Shaking my head I turn to get dressed. My thoughts are all over the place as I get dressed and leave the on call room making my way to the attendings lounge to change. Thank god no one was in there, as I quickly change into my street clothes, grab my bag and head out. As I was leaving the lounge, Meredith walks in, hair wet and still dripping a little. "if you wait just a minute we can go together" she winks. I nod, and step to the side.

I'm not entirely sure when I started having feelings for Arizona, maybe it was at that disastrous dinner party, or maybe it was when we were stuck on that mountain, sometimes I can still hear her screaming. My thoughts are all over the place as I lay in bed alone that night. My thoughts went back to that on call room, and I can feel myself start to get wet. Letting out a groan, I roll over trying to force myself to sleep, I had an early surgery tomorrow and I needed some sleep. But every time I close my eyes all I can see are blue eyes shining back at me. Letting out another groan I reach for my phone, opening it I hit Arizona's name and type out a quick text "I hope you're doing well" no that sounds to cheesy, I delete it and settle on "good night"~ M it wasn't long before my phone was buzzing "good night thanks for the fun day (winky face)"~ A
"my god this woman" I let out yet another groan and set my phone back on the table, making sure it's plugged in. I hear it vibrate again, so I reach for it "Dr. Grey, I believe we need to talk"~ A
"shit" I say and hit the reply button typing out "talk about what Dr. Robbins?"~ M
"meet me in my office for lunch tomorrow and I'll tell you"~ A
"I'll order in from the place across the street, say noon?"~ A
"sounds good I should be done in the OR by 11:30"~ M
"see you then (winky face)"~ A
"see you then"~ M. I reply and set my phone back on the table. Letting out a deep sigh now I have to figure out what this means. Did I want to date her? I wasn't sure, I hadn't dated since Derek, she's been out with a few people since Callie but obviously nothing serious. Great something else to think about, shaking my head I rolled over, grabbing the pillow I cuddle with I finally doze off, dreaming about blue eyes and dimples.

It has been a day from hell, from getting paged at 2 in the morning, and standing in an OR for what seemed like days. Thank god both mom and baby will make it, it was touch and go there for a while, but baby is still safe and sound still baking inside of mom. After scrubbing out, I made my way to my favorite coffee cart, passing by the OR board I just happen to glance up and see that Meredith is in OR 3. Just the sight of her name made my heart race. I haven't really had much time to think about what happened yesterday, which was probably a good thing, since Callie, I tend to over think and make things out to be worse than they really are. And at this very moment my brain starts in with 'what if she wants to date you?'
'no you idiot she isn't gay'
'what she did yesterday kind of proves otherwise'

'no you shut up' I laughed, now I'm arguing with myself in my head. Finally making it to the coffee cart, I placed my order and stepped aside, pulling out my phone. I see an email from Callie with some pictures of Sofia's field trip to the statue of liberty yesterday. Opening up the attachment I smiled at the joy that was written on my daughters face, as I scrolled through the pictures. Callie and I are, I wouldn't go as far as to say we are friends but we are friendly, we talk occasionally more than just about Sofia. She did tell me that her and Penny aren't doing so well, and once said that she wasn't sure moving to New York was the brightest idea she's ever had, but we all make mistakes. I wonder what she'll say about me and Meredith 'idiot there is no you and Meredith' there goes my brain again. Thankfully my order was done, I step forward and thank the girl, making my way to my office. I had some paperwork to do, and in an hour I would order lunch for me and my 'don't say it Robbins' for me and Meredith. I sigh, as I hit the button on the elevator. When the doors open I'm stuck stock still, standing inside is the very woman I am arguing with myself about. I see a smile grace her face, I'm assuming I'm mirroring hers as I step in. Going to hit the button I see it's already pressed, but I hit it again for good measure. "hi" Meredith says shyly.
"hi" I say smiling into my cup
"so um, surgery went good and took less time than I predicted"
"I see" I can't make eye contact with her, so I'm staring at the floor, I see her feet move and hear the sound of the emergency stop button being pulled. I look up and am met with a pair of brilliant blue eyes staring back at me. She steps closer, pushing me back into the wall as her lips find mine, I hear her let out a moan as our tongues first touch and dance around each other. She reaches down and grabs my ass, and I can feel the moisture start to seep into my panties. When the need for oxygen overpowers us she pulls back leaning her forehead on mine "sorry I just had to do that" she smiles then turns around hitting the button and we start moving again. "we still on for lunch?"
"if" I clear my throat "yes if you still want"
"yes I want" she says reaching for my hand "and maybe some dessert" she winks again as the elevator stops, she drops my hand and the doors open "I'll see you in an hour or so"
"ok sounds good" I smile and make my way to my office, lips still burning from our kiss. I make the walk to my office in a daze. Setting my cup on my desk I take a seat. "what am I going to do" I say quietly as I lay my head down on my desk. "hey you ok?" I hear someone ask from the doorway, I look up and see mine and Meredith's friend Alex. Letting out a sigh I nod "yeah I'm fine"
"you don't look fine" he makes his way into the office
"I am Alex"
"ok" he nods then gives me a small smile "so Jo and I were wondering if you were free sometime in the next week for dinner.
"dinner with the Karev's?" I ask and smile when he nods and says "you and Meredith" my heart starts to beat harder at the mention of her name. "um" I say looking around my desk finding my day planner. "it looks like I'm free after 5 everyday"
"good" he smiles "I'll let Jo know and one of us will get back to you with a day and time"
"sounds good Alex" I smile as I meet his eyes. He has become like a little brother to me, shit we are all one big dysfunctional family around here. With Richard as our dad, "now to find Meredith" he says "have you seen her?" my heart starts to race as I shake my head "nope, but she's supposed to come by for lunch, I'm about to order it now"
"oh" he smiles and shrugs "well I guess I'll go find her, see you later"
"later" I say and watch him leave. So much for getting any work done today. Looking down at the cluttered mess of papers on my desk I sigh and reach into my pocket pulling out my phone, and placing our lunch order for the place across the street. "alright" I say reaching for a pen and the file that was on top of the stack "let's get to signing" I scribble my name on the first sheet and start flipping the pages. The next thing I know I hear a knocking on the door, looking up I see my favorite nurse and smile seeing she's got my lunch order. "thank you Jules" I smile and stand meeting her, digging into one of the bags I pull out a wrapped item and hand it to her "you're too kind" she smiles taking the item and leaving. The place delivered but they only ever went as far as the nurses station, which was alright. Someone, usually Jules, brought it to me, so I've taken to ordering her the wrap I know she likes in return. I'm still digging in the bag pulling everything out and setting it on the coffee table in front of the couch when I hear the door to my office being shut, and the familiar sound of the lock being clicked. Looking up, I see Meredith removing her white coat, and draping it over the back of a chair. "I don't want to be interrupted" she says answering my unasked question. I nod, and make my way to the couch, sitting down. She wastes no time in rounding the coffee table and taking the seat next to me, close enough that her right knee touches that of my fake one, and I feel the fire start to ignite yet again. "I got you your usual" we have lunch together often lately. "thank you" she smiles, reaching for my hand, our eyes lock and she leans over, placing a kiss on my lips. I let out a soft "hmm" when she pulls back and reaches for her food "did Alex find you?"
"yeah" she turns to me and smiles "do you want to go on a double date with the Karev's" she laughs
"date?" I tense who said anything about a date
"well" she shrugs and takes a bite of her sandwich, letting out a moan as the sauce hits her taste buds "damn that's good" I smile and dig into my own lunch. Once the food was gone, she sits back, and reaches for my hand playing with it. "Mer" I say quietly
"hmm"
"what" I sigh the words are there they just won't come out "what is going on" she turns her head and our eyes meet. I can see the desire in hers, I wonder if mine say the same. "I'm not sure, but the sex is great" she says with a smile
"we've had sex once" I shake my head trying to keep the blush from forming. "and that wasn't even my best"
"oh it gets better" her eye brows pop up as I laugh shaking my head "seriously Arizona I don't know what's going on but" she stops, I turn my head and our eyes meet "I really enjoy kissing you" I say quietly. A smile graces her face as she says "me too" and leans over placing her lips on mine. She pulls back and we sit there quietly for a few minutes, as she interlocks our fingers. "will you go on a date with me" she looks up into my eyes, I can't say anything so I just nod "tonight?" she adds. I fight the thought about her kids when I remember she's got built in babysitters with Maggie and Amelia. I nod, "I'm done at 5"
"I'll pick you up at 7" she smiles, my reply is a smile as she leans over kissing me, gentle at first, but once our tongues meet the fire ignites and she has me pushed down on the couch with her straddling me. We are both lost in each other when a pager sounds "dammit" she groans and climbs off me, going to where she left her white coat "911 for the pit" she shakes her head, reaching for her coat she slips it on, I'm sitting up by now as she walks over leaning down she places another kiss on my lips "to be continued" another kiss "and maybe more" she winks and leaves. Taking a deep breath I sit there contemplating what just happened. It was only yesterday that she found me in that on call room, but it seems like it's been days, weeks or even years. I stand and clear the trash from our lunch and make my way back to my desk. Hearing my phone go off I pull it out of my pocket and see a text from Meredith "wear something casual, it won't be anything fancy (winky face)"~ M
"ok, see you at 7 (double winky face)"~ A. I laugh the winky face was my thing I've always done it so I had to one up her.

The page I had gotten was for a man who was pinned between two semi-trailers, sadly there was nothing anyone could do. He was already gone by the time I reached the pit, the interns just needed and attending to call it. The rest of the day was slow, so I managed to head out a little early, grabbing Ellis and Bailey from day care, I make my way home. Pulling into the drive way I see Maggie's already home, she had gotten paged in early, and Amelia was on the afternoon shift this week. Opening the door to the house Bailey takes off towards his toys and I set Ellis down in front of her play thing "Mags" I call
"In here" her voice comes from the kitchen, walking in I see Zola sitting at the table homework in front of her, I smile and walk over placing a kiss on top of her head "hi mom" she smiles
"hi ZoZo" looking around the room I see Maggie standing in front of the fridge "I'm trying to decide what to have for dinner, any ideas?" she asks
"I want to talk to you about that"
"don't tell me you're cooking" she chuckles
"hell no" I laugh and make my way closer so I could whisper "do you mind watching them tonight, I ah"
"do you have a date?" she asks when I don't meet her eyes I can hear her smile and say "oh you do have a date, what's his name, do I know him" thinking for a moment I'm not sure if I should tell her what's going on, but then I decide she's my sister and I can trust her not to judge "well" I look up meeting her eyes and shrug. Wincing when she squeals and pulls me out the back door for some privacy from little ears. "what's his name? Does he work at the hospital?"
"well" I say taking a deep breath "he is actually Arizona"
"Arizona? Like Dr. Arizona Robbins?" she asks looking at me confused as I nod "shit Mer I knew you two were getting close, I just did realize it was this close" I don't say anything "spill" she says sitting down on a lawn chair we had in the backyard. I clear my throat "yes we have been spending a lot of time together lately" I pause trying to find the right words "I went looking for her yesterday when a nurse said she was in the on call room. I found her there standing in her underwear" Maggie's brows scrunched, "Maggie I don't know what came over me, I shut the door and" Maggie held up her hand "I don't need details" she laughs, I laugh too and we sit there quietly a few moments "how was it?" Maggie asks as our eyes meet and I smile, she laughs "that good huh?" I nod, she smiles "don't worry about the kids, I got them"
"thank you" I say
"you and Robbins" she says a smile on her face "who would have thought"
"I think I've liked her for a while, but I was too scared to do anything about it. Plus, there was Derek, and Callie"
"ugh Callie" Maggie rolls her eyes "what do you think she's going to say?"
"I don't know" I shrug my shoulders "does it really matter?" Maggie shakes her head "no, after all she's with Blake, and is the happiest she's ever been" we both laugh. She starts to say something when I hear "mom" come from inside the house "no Bailey don't" and a crash. I let out a groan as my son's cries fill the air. Maggie and I both rush in to find Zola picking her brother up off the floor. "what happened?" I ask my oldest but seeing his ride on truck thing against the leg of the table "he ran into the table" I look more closely and see the broken glass Zola had been using on the floor with spilt whatever she was drinking around it. At that moment Ellis decides she's been neglected too long and lets out a cry. "go get her I'll clean this up" Maggie says. I nod and head into the living room where I find my youngest crying. I'm pretty sure it was the sound of the crash and Bailey crying that upset her. I lean down picking her up. "hey baby girl, you're ok"
"mom" she says "scared"
"I know, it's ok, your brother just ran his truck into the table"
"scared" she says again and lays her head in the cruck of my neck, hugging her I make my way into the kitchen to check on the mess. "I'm sorry mommy" Bailey says "I didn't realize I was that close"
"I know honey"
"it's ok all cleaned up" Maggie says "what do you say to pizza for dinner?"
"and ice cream?" Bailey asks at the mention of ice cream Ellis perks up "you can have ice cream after the pizza" I say handing Ellis off to Maggie "I have to go get ready" I say looking at the clock. Maggie gives me a wink and I leave the room. Hearing her call in the pizza order. Turning the shower on, I turn around and look at myself in the mirror, looking myself in the eye I say "Arizona Robbins" and watch the smile on my face, and the twinkle in my eyes. I quickly undress and hop into the shower, the hot water cascading over my body helping me relax from a stressful day at work, and the nerves I have about my up coming date.

She said to wear something casual, I think to myself as I'm going through my closet. Finding a pair of jeans that I've been told show off my ass, I continue to look for a shirt, pulling out a checkered blue button up, I return to my bedroom, to get dressed. Decided to put a white tank top under the shirt I just pulled out, I pull off the towel and begin to dress. I hear the sound of my phone telling me I have a video call coming in. Noting the time it could only be one person, I smile as I reach for my phone seeing Callie's name, I quickly answer it. As the video comes into focus I see my daughter. She's looking more and more like Callie everyday. "hi mommy" Sofia says
"hello Sof, how are you?"
"I'm good, momma told me to call you quick before I head to bed" I look at the clock seeing it's 6:30 here which makes it 9:30 there "you're up a little late tonight"
"yeah we just got home, momma took me to see a movie"
"oh yeah which one?"
"the live action Lion King" Sofia says
"oh?" I didn't even have to pretend to pout, I wanted to see that one. Maybe I can get Meredith to go with me, maybe we can take the kids. I realize I zone out when I hear Sofia saying "mommy"
"hmm?"
"were you even listening to me?"
"I'm sorry Sof" I laugh "I just wanted to see that movie"
"oh it's awesome, just like the cartoon version but with real animals" she goes on "when I grow up I want to be a doctor for animals" she says
"it's called a Veterinarian" I hear Callie say
"yeah that" Sofia laughs
"it's late Sof, tell mommy goodnight and you'll call her tomorrow"
"good night mommy, I love you"
"I love you too baby girl"
"Arizona can you hold on a minute I'd like to talk to you quick, I just need to"
"yeah go, I'll be here" I say to my ex-wife, and see her smile as she follows our daughter into her room. While I wait for Callie I head into the bathroom, propping the phone up so I can see the video as I do my make up, about 5 minutes later I hear "ok sorry about that"
"it's ok" I look down at the phone and see her in the camera "wow you look nice" she says "got a big date?"
"well" I smile
"I'm happy for you" Callie smiles, it's nice to be able to talk to her about this stuff, and not feel that sadness that used to follow. "what did you want to talk to me about?"
"oh right" Callie laughs "I have a conference in Tacoma sometime next month, I can't remember the exact dates right now but I was wondering if you wanted"
"yes" I blurt out before she could even finish asking, we both laugh "alright then, that's what I thought your answer would be I'll get back to you on the dates, I know it's a weekend, we'll fly out probably Thursday night and leave Monday morning, she'll miss school but" Callie shrugs.
"it'll be fine" I smile hearing the doorbell "hey Callie I have to go"
"is your date there?" smiling into the phone as I make my way to the door and pull it open.
"hi" I hear Meredith say but I'm too caught up in what she's wearing to reply "is that Meredith?" Callie asks through the phone I also had forgotten I was on "ah, yeah"
"tell her hi" Callie says
"um" I clear my throat "Callie says"
"I can hear her" Meredith laughs "hi Callie"
"hey I'm coming to town next month maybe we can have dinner"
"sounds good" Meredith says as our eyes meet "ok Callie I have to go, send me the dates and I'll clear my schedule"
"ok bye, bye Mer" Callie says as I hit the end button.
"almost outed before there's anything to out" Meredith laughs
"she's cool now, I'm not sure what happened but it's easy to talk to her about stuff now"
"that's good, but how do you think she's going to react when she finds out it's me your dating"
"eh, who cares" I smile and pull her in for a kiss "hi"
"hi" she smiles, stepping back she looks me up and down "damn" she almost moans. I had left the shirt unbuttoned, and the tank top I had on under it was a little snug, and low cut.
"maybe we should skip the date and stay here"
"whatever you want but I'm hungry"
"hmm" she hummed as she reached out pulling me in for a kiss. My stomach growled causing us both to laugh "alright, come on, let's feed that thing before it eats me"
"I'd like to eat you"
"promises, promises" she winks as I gather my things and we head out.
Meredith was amazing, she opened the car door for me, but after that the date wasn't any different than the numerous other times we've been out. Other than going to Joe's. She took me to a small diner just outside of the city. A family own restaurant where when we first walked in the waitress, who was a graying lady, my best guess to be in her late 60's, called her by name. Then showed us to the best table in the place, which happened to be outback, with an amazing view of the sound. Off in the distance you could see the ferry slowly tugging along. She reaches across the table and grabs my hand, looking over our eyes meet. I never in a million years thought I'd be dating Meredith Grey, but here I am, and she only has eyes for me. The lady, I didn't catch her name, maybe it was Edith or Mildred, maybe Myrtle? "thank you Delores" Meredith says as she turns to leave after dropping off our food. "well eat up, you're gonna need the energy for later" she winks and picks up her burger.

The drive back to Arizona's is quiet, but not uncomfortable. She has her hand on my thigh, as I drive, and she looks out over the landscape. Pulling up in the driveway behind her car, I put my car in park, and turn to look at her. "so"

I nod and pull the keys out as we both get out of the car, she waits for me and takes my hand as we walk up the walk to the front door. Stopping so she can find the key, she says "I've had a really good time tonight"
"good" I smile, as she pushes the door open and we step inside, the smell of Arizona engulfed all my senses "do you want some wine?"
"yes please" I say setting my purse down on the table she has by the door, and moving farther into the house. I've been here, a lot, but never really looked around. "red or white?" she asks from the kitchen "white please" and she comes back in with a bottle and two glasses. I've known for awhile there was more to Arizona then what I knew. And tonight and the last few years I've seen it. Callie is a fucking idiot for leaving this amazing woman. I made a promise to myself right then and there that I would do anything and everything I can to keep her. Sitting down on the couch, she sits next to me. All the sudden the nerves hit me. "Arizona"

"I" I start to say but stop, reaching for her hand I clear my throat "I can't stop thinking about you"
"I can't stop thinking about you either" she turns her head and our eyes meet "people are going to say its too soon, shit we haven't even finished our first date, but" I pause again reaching for her hand "I can feel myself falling madly in love with you" she looks down at our hands that are intertwined, I hear her let out a sigh "you don't" I saw quietly then go to pull my hand away but she grabs hold of it tighter. Our eyes meet again "I do, I was trying to figure out a way to word it, because when I'm with you Meredith my brain turns to mush. And I feel like I'm a clumsy teenager again." I lean over capturing her lips with mine. Pushing her back onto the couch as I straddle her, just before our lips meet I say "I love you"
"I love you" she says and pulls me down for a kiss.

Waking up this morning was hard, I haven't slept as good as I slept last night in a very, very long time. Meredith was wrapped round me, holding onto me for dear life. I manage to maneuver myself so I can look at her. You know when I was with Callie, I would do this, and marvel at how beautiful she was, but Callie holds nothing to how beautiful Meredith is. Maybe it's just the way I feel right now, back then it was all Callie and now, now I am in love with this beautiful woman lying next to me. I know it was way too soon to say it, but feelings have been developing for a long time now. I can't put my finger on the moment I realized I had feelings for her, maybe it was the way she looked the night of that disastrous dinner party, maybe it was when we sat in that closet after that plane had crashed in the streets of Seattle, hell it could have been the way she took care of me on that mountain. I wasn't sure but what I do know is I love her now, and I was going to do anything and everything to keep her. I hear her let out a snort, and see her eyes open "you're staring."
"there's a lot to stare at" I smile, I can see a blush start to form, as she smacks me "stop"
"you better get used to it, I plan on telling you a lot"
"ugh" she groans playfully, then leans over for a kiss "good morning"
"hmm, good morning" I say
"what time is it?" she asks returning to her side of the bed and stretching

"nope I'm off" I smile popping the p "you?"
"I'm off too" she rolls over and is now hovering over me. Her hair falling around her face, reaching up I brush it back and put it behind her ears. She lowers herself and our lips meet, the kiss was slow at first but once our tongues touched, it turned passionate. I could tell in her kiss how she feels for me. "give me a few hours and I'll be home, is everything ok"

"yeah" Meredith laughs "I'll see you in a few hours"
"alright have fun, but not too much fun" she says and hangs up.
"you know I've always wanted a little sister but now I'm second guessing that" Meredith laughs as she sets her phone on the side table. "so" she says laying her head back on my chest "what would you like to do today?"
"you should go home to your kids"
"ah, but you don't have to work today so you're coming with me"
"hmm" I pretend to think about it, but I know my answer is yes, she moves off my chest and I turn reaching for my prosthetic and slide it on quickly. Then stand and head towards the bathroom looking back I catch her eye "you coming?" I don't think I've ever seen Meredith Grey move so fast in my life. She was in the bathroom before I was, causing me to chuckle, she turns the shower on, and I just stop and stare at her nakedness. She reaches out pulling me into her "Arizona" she whispers.
"hmm"
"will you be my girlfriend?"
"I thought after we confess loving each other that was a given" I smile
"I was just making sure" she kisses me then helps me into the shower.
