Somewhere within the Void.
His consciousness stirred, emerging from the depths of an eternal void. His mind felt hazy, disoriented, as if they sudden awakening after seem like eternity, like a prolonged slumber. Yet, they couldn't quite comprehend the passage of time or the reason behind your awakening. All he knew was he existed... floating like a lone head in the pitch black nothingness of the void.
He tried to orient himself, reaching out for a sense of his arms, his legs, your limbs, but there was nothing to grasp onto. Panic tinged your thoughts as you struggled to regain control over confusion.
Him: W-Where, why I can't think!? (you muttered, your voice barely audible in the vast emptiness surrounding you.)
A surge of anxiety washed over you, as if a storm was brewing within Your very being. You yearned for clarity, for a glimpse of identity. You had nothing to remember for some reason. It was a disconcerting sensation, like being lost in a labyrinth with no map to guide you, then, suddenly, you heard and saw a presence approaching, it looked familiar, you don't know why.
Him: Wh-What is that? (You said in a surprised tone.)
As his consciousness struggled to make sense of the surroundings, a flicker of movement caught your attention. He squinted into the darkness, your eyes widening with a mix of surprise and trepidation. Approaching him was a peculiar creature, like a fusion of a plushie and of a gray cat. Large rounded head, drooping ears, and small body seemed to defy the logic of the void.
The creature floated closer, its eyes filled with a warmth that seemed familiar.
?: It finally worked after 118 long years. (It spoke, its voice resonating within your consciousness.)
?: Good morning, Master. It's been a long time.
Him: Huh? Where am I? Who are you? And why don't I feel my body?
?: You're in the Dream World, and I'm your Dream Eater. Don't you remember me?
Him: (confused) a Dr-Dream Eater? Sorry, but I don't remember much of anything, really. How did I get here? What happened to me?
Dream Eater: (sympathetically) Your mind was heavily damaged, Master. You've been in a deep slumber for 118 years. Do you remember anything about your past life?
Him: (frustrated) 118 years? No Way... but, I can't seem to recall anything. It's all a blank. (pauses) Wait...I vaguely remember something about shattering and locking the world into parts to protect it from the darkness. Was that real, or just a dream?
Dream Eater: (nodding) That was real, Master. You and 49 other Keyblade wielders worked together to protect the world from the darkness after a long war. You shattered and locked reality or the world into different parts to keep the darkness at bay.
Him: (shocked) Oh... really? Wow. I did that?! I don't even remember doing it. (pauses) But if I did that, then why am I here in the Dream World?
Him: (confused) but what is a Keyblade? I don't understand, do you mean a weapon?
Dream Eater: So you don't remember anything...
Dream Eater: (explaining) You see, Master, when you shattered and locked the entire world with the others, it caused a ripple effect throughout the universe. You and the other Keyblade wielders that survived the War and did that, everyone including you, suffered the price for altering the nature of reality, all of you were all damaged, it's was at this instant a permanent coma. It was a necessary sacrifice to ensure the world's safety.
Him: (nodding in understanding) Coma? I got comatose doing that?! I see... And what about the darkness? Is it still out there? If this is correct, the darkness is a bad thing?
Dream Eater: (grimly) Yes, Master. It's still out there, and it's very lethal, and it's been 118 years. It already leaked in most of the Locked World. Humanity had to defend themselves without any keyblade wielders to defend them in the present days. It's been so long, but I managed to get you back, you need to prepare.
Him: (determined) I may not remember my past, but I won't let the darkness destroy everything we worked so hard to protect. Let's get to work, i guess.
Dream Eater: (pleased) That's the spirit, Master. Together, we can overcome anything.
Him: That's great, but I still can't feel my limbs, how I'm going to wake up to the real world?
Dream Eater: To wake you up from your slumber and bring you back to the real world, I will send your consciousness to the Dive to the Heart. This place is a manifestation of your heart, a place where you can remember who you are and what you can do with the Keyblade.
Him: Could you elaborate?
Dream Eater: The Keyblade is a weapon of immense power that only a select few can wield. It can open any lock and seal any heart. You were one of those select few, and you used it to lock the world away from the darkness. Do you remember now?
Him: I...I think I do. But how can I wake up without another Keyblade Wielder to help me?
Dream Eater: You don't need another Keyblade Wielder to wake you up. I can do it myself. I am your Dream Eater, and I have been with you since the beginning. I am connected to you, and I can guide you through the Dive to the Heart to awaken your true potential.
Him: Better than being a floating head in the void for all eternity, I suppose... okay. Let's do it... Send me to the Dive to the Heart.
As he struggled to comprehend the nature of his own existence, the Dream Eater extended its paw, beckoning him foward
With a mixture of curiosity and trepidation, he hesitantly reached out, his ethereal hand melding with the Dream Eater's paw. Instantly, a surge of energy coursed through Your incorporeal form, propelling you forward into a dazzling expanse of light.
The Dream Eater nodded and enveloped you in a bright light. The next thing he knew, he is floating in a void filled with illuminated stained-glass pillars. He looked around and saw that each pillar depicted a specific set of characters and had a unique shade, and at least, you landed on the giant stained-glass pillar, and then.
He looked down and gasped in awe as his legs materialized beneath you, solidifying into a tangible form. He wiggled his toes and felt the solid ground beneath his feet, a sense of relief washing over him
His hands and arms materialized next, allowing him to raise them and feel the air caress his skin. You flexed his fingers, reveling in the sensation of touch returning to your fingertips. Gradually, his shoulders and torso followed suit, completing Your corporeal manifestation.
Your eyes widened, Your gaze shifting from you're newly formed body to the radiant surroundings.
Him: I... I can see myself. I can feel my limbs (You exclaimed, a mix of astonishment and gratitude in your voice.) It's like coming back to life.
Him: This place is beautiful, but where do I go from here?
The Dream Eater stood beside him, its eyes gleaming with pride.
Dream Eater: You are regaining your sense, and readapting to your physical body in the real world, keep going up the stairs.
Dream Eater: Each door in the Dive to the Heart leads to a different world, but only the one Door that resonate with you will lead you back to your physical body. Find the door that resonates with you and go through it. It will bring you back to the real world and awaken your true potential as a Keyblade Wielder.
He took a deep breath and looked at the doors. He knew that he had a long journey ahead, but is determined to awaken his true potential and protect the worlds from the darkness once again, even if he is not sure of what he is doing at all, he feel a little awkward, but decided to keep going toward up the stairs and saw one Door made out of Ice that match his clothing color.
He stood at the precipice, gazing at the array of doors before him. Each one radiated a distinct energy, whispering secrets of different worlds. With the guidance of the mysterious creature, he understood that only one door held the key to his return, the door that resonated with your very being.
Taking a step forward, He approached the doors with a mix of determination and uncertainty. His eyes scanned the array, searching for a connection that he couldn't quite explain. And then he saw it, the door crafted from shimmering ice, its hue mirroring Your own clothing.
Him: This door... It feels familiar (You murmured, with a voice filled with a glimmer of hope.) Could it be the one that leads me back?
The Dream Eater nodded in affirmation, its tail swishing back and forth.
Dream Eater: Trust your instincts. Your heart will guide you.
With newfound confidence, You reached out and placed Your right hand upon the icy door. A surge of energy coursed through you, as if the door recognized you as its rightful guardian. The door responded to your touch, glowing brighter and growing in size.
Without hesitation, he pushed the door open and stepped through, feeling a rush of cold air against Your face. As You crossed the threshold, Your surroundings shifted, and a wave of dizziness washed over him. Colors blurred and merged, and his vision grew hazy.
Him: I... I'm losing... consciousness. (You whispered, words trailing off into the void.)
And with that, he succumbed to the darkness, With his very being finally returning to his body. Little did he know that beyond the door awaited a world of adventure, challenges, and the answers he sought. The journey to awaken his trues potential as a Keyblade Wielder had just begun, and only time would reveal the trials and triumphs that awaited the Protagonist.
