Chapter 1: Playing To Win

In a dark room, far away from anyone who could eavesdrop, a plot was brewing.

It was an issue too important to be left alone… to be left to chance…

There was a saying that when you wanted something done right… you had to do it yourself.

"Are we sure that THIS is the best way?"

"Of course! It's been taking WAY too long!"

"Right! We need to take this into our OWN hands!"

A consensus was quickly reached by the people in the room, as they decided on the correct course of action.

Simply put… It HAD to be done, for the greater good…

X-=-=-=-=-=-X

"Are you even trying?" Ron Stoppable mocked.

"You know I'm not really all that focused at the moment… right?" his best friend Kim Possible shot back.

The two sat next to each other on top of her bed, Ron managing to convince her to partake in one of his favorite activities. Her family was away for the day, on some trip that she hadn't been interested in joining them on. She preferred to spend this time with her best friend.

Hands gripping a white controller, her fingers were busy mashing buttons in the hope of coming out victorious. But she had very little hope, it seemed as if he was supreme in that regard.

"I would buy that excuse… if you didn't pick the same character every single time… and try that move over and over again…" The blonde smirked at her.

"I-I just like the way she looks…" Kim managed to keep her face and voice straight.

"Oh, really? I guess the fact that most of her moves are unblockable and really hard to dodge is just a coincidence?" the blonde teen stated flatly.

"If it would make you lose, then yes!" Kim gave one final press before her character flew back with a defeated yell. "Damn it!" she exclaimed, Kim's tone conveying her anger and frustration, she fell back herself.

"Well, look at that… another win for me… I guess you can say I'm… unstoppable?" His mocking tone and expression left her groaning in annoyance.

"That was terrible…" she commented.

"Was it? Or, are you just a sore loser?" he managed to get out, before she slapped his arm. "Turning to violence already?" He laughed.

"No… but I can tell that you were just waiting to unleash that awful pun… That just makes it even more terrible…" she groused.

"Doesn't change the fact that it fits… You know you can always learn the moves and actually give me a challenge, right?"

Kim could probably do just that, if her mind wasn't so occupied at the moment. She really just needed a quick win, to rub it in his face. "I already told you… I'm too busy with the whole Josh thing…"

"I thought you already asked him out… Last week, wasn't it?" the blonde sidekick questioned. Had his best friend somehow managed to miss her chance or something?

Kim glanced off to the side "I… I chickened out, okay? I had it and… I don't know what happened…"

"Hey, it's okay KP… I'm sure that you'll manage just fine!" Ron reassured her, rubbing her back. "Can I help in any way?" He would do whatever needed to be done, as long as it would make his childhood friend feel better. Hell, he'd even go up to Josh and flat-out ask him on Kim's behalf! He'd only held back because she'd claimed she needed to do this herself.

Kim was silent for a few moments, before she finally spoke. "There is something…"

"Sure thing, KP! what is it?" he asked, eager to know.

"You can lose a few times…" She turned to him with a smirk.

"Well… I can't promise anything… But, I'll see if I can't look away and give you a FEW minutes to try and win…"

"Wow… and after you said you'd help… Some friend you are…" Kim groused, unimpressed with his teasing. She sat back up.

"I'm sure you'll manage to win, one of these days… Maybe, hopefully…" He started laughing as she glared at him. "Now, I believe that it's time for my prize?"

The redheaded teen sighed as she got up, letting her controller drop to the bed. "Yeah, yeah… I'll be the one to get us lunch… No need to help, or anything…"

"Hey, don't blame me! You're the one who suggested it in the first place… Now, if you don't mind… I'm quite famished…" The blonde teen went so far as to clap his hands twice. "Chop! Chop!"

Kim growled in annoyance as she exited the room, moving down the stairs towards the kitchen, still fuming at the mocking tone of her blonde partner. 'Oh… just you wait, Ron… When I finally win, I'll never let you live it down!' she vowed, preparing their food.

This wasn't the first time the two friends had met up on a weekend to hang out. Sometimes they enjoyed a movie marathon, others some game that he'd gotten and wanted to try with her. She liked it, she really did! The only issue she had was the fact that she kept losing to him!

Kim couldn't even REMEMEBR the last time she'd won against him… if she EVER had. The redheaded girl made her way back towards her room, carrying a big tray holding the food she'd prepared. Just a few snacks, some leftovers from something her mom had made, and two juice bottles on the side. She moved at a brisk pace, determined to get his "reward" over with.

'After he eats, he'll become more relaxed and sluggish. Then it'll be ME who-' Before she could finish her thought the tray shifted just a bit, quickly stealing her focus. One of the juice bottles rattled and fell to the side of the tray, hitting a small bowl of gravy. The bowl jump and spilled off to the side… onto her pants.

"Just what I needed… great…" She sighed loudly before entering the room, Ron was leaning against the headboard of her bed.

"You okay, KP?" he asked, easily noticing her expression.

"Just peachy…" She placed the tray down next to the bed, before pointing at the new stain and moving to her closet. "Give me a sec…"

"Sure thing…" The blonde teen ignored her and moved to eat, most of the food was intended for him anyway. After all, he had won it.

Moving to her closet, she quickly opened the door and started searching for something light to wear. It was a nice day outside… pleasant and only slightly cool. She could easily wear another pair of long, baggy pants. But sadly, it would appear that most of her pants were missing- probably in the wash. 'That's on me, for not thinking about it earlier…' She sighed before grabbing the first thing she could wear and moved out of the room.

After a few minutes Kim finally returned, now in her new red short-shorts. She'd never worn them before, as they weren't really her style… not even when she was alone. Kim couldn't even recall who'd given them to her.

'Was it Monique?' she wondered. They were comfortable enough, even if they were a bit tight on her butt.

"Um… I saved you some?" Ron informed, looking towards his friend.

Kim's eyebrow rose, before she simply shrugged and moved to sit on the end of the bed.

"Thanks. Now, I hope you ready to lose!" the redheaded teen declared.

Oddly, Ron didn't gloat this time.

'Maybe he knows that now I'm serious!' They started the next round.

"Ahh!" Kim's character yelled once more.

"Oh man…" Despite losing again, she had to admit that she was making some progress. This time Kim had managed to hit him a few times before he'd beaten her. 'If this keeps going, I'll be able to win!' That alone was enough to put her in a good mood.

The redheaded teen leaned to the side and grabbed a few snacks, before laying back down on her stomach. "Looks like it won't be long before I win, huh? I wonder what I'll make you get me…" she commented loudly, as if to goad him.

Ever since she'd returned Ron had been unusually quiet, he didn't gloat or even comment on his wins. It was really odd.

Kim turned her head just enough to look at him. "You okay, Ron?" As soon as she looked at him, she noticed her friend was drinking from his juice.

He nodded quickly. "Y-Yep! Totally fine! Absolutely fantastic!" His voice was strained, he looked a bit red in the face.

She wanted to ask what was up, he obviously wasn't. But instead Kim chose to trust his words, for now.

They continued playing for a few more minutes, Kim steadily moving towards her goal. She continued laying on her stomach, with her legs slightly open. It was more comfortable, helping her focus. Ron was still leaning on the headboard of her bed behind her, not that she could complain. It wasn't like he was taking up much room at the moment.

She lost again before glancing at the clock on her wall. It was a bit later than they planned to be playing, even if that wasn't a problem. She glanced at the mirror of her dresser, glimpsing a reflection of her best friend from her spot. They were currently picking their characters, she had a second or two before they went at it again.

Ron had an odd expression; his face was red… even more intensely than before. He was sitting still, staring very intently at something.

'What is so interesting back there-' Before she could finish the thought, her eyes opened in shock. Based on the angle… it was obvious that Ron was staring at HER.

Or, more accurately… at her behind.

Her mind clouded over for a few seconds, her heartbeat racing a bit faster than before. What was she supposed to do now? Close her legs and turn to him? Accuse him of staring? The second she made it obvious that she'd noticed, it could make things weird between them… Maybe even embarrass them both!

'Just try and ignore it…' she finally decided, they should be wrapping up soon enough. Afterwards, she could just pretend that this never happened and forget about it.

They kept playing for a few more minutes, although Kim couldn't help but feel slightly distracted. How could she not be? Ron was STILL staring at her! Eyeing her behind and focusing mostly on her!

She couldn't help but start to feel odd, her body becoming a lot warmer. She had to actively hold herself back from fidgeting or shaking her butt.

No reason to make him stare even harder…

Just the thought alone made her tremble more.

After a few minutes Ron himself commented on the time, bidding his best friend a good night. He even commented about her forgetting the time, as well as how unusual it was for her to be so lax.

'And who's fault is that?!' she wanted to yell. But, Kim held herself back. After spending so much time ignoring Ron's staring, the last thing she wanted to do was bring it up at the last second.

She was alone in her room right now, sitting on her bed. She buried her head in her mattress, hoping to halt her odd thoughts. For the first time in ages, Kim wasn't sure about anything!

It was her first time dealing with something like this! Oh, she was well aware of the feelings between a man and a woman and what came after that… Her mother was a doctor, after all.

It had been a really awkward talk with her mom, that lecture about the birds and the bees…

"No! Stop getting distracted! You need to focus!" she chastised herself for the fourth time in as many minutes. She recalled the way Ron had stared at her… So intense, with a look she'd never once seen on his face before.

Her body trembled just thinking about it. 'Come on… what's the big deal?' She tried to calm down. 'So, he looked at me… really intensely… what's the big deal?'

The redheaded heroine was well aware that her best friend was a guy. 'And guys do look…' She recalled Bonnie commenting on it in the past, during one of their practices.

Kim quickly moved up from her bed. 'No, you are NOT listening to anything that Bonnie had to say!' Glancing around, she looked at her mirror. The one on her dresser… the very same one she'd used to catch Ron's eyes on her.

Kim turned her back to the mirror and stared at her butt, she was still wearing the red short shorts. The teen went so far as to wiggle her butt left and right.

"What am I even doing? SO not like me…" Sighing tiredly she rubbed her eyes, it seemed that sitting so close to the TV had strained her eyes far more than she thought it would. "Just ignore it…" She moved to the bathroom, betting that some hot water would work its magic on her… she desperately needed it.

"Oh… God…" Kim mused. She sank into the tub, the heat soaking into her body and helping her relax.

She couldn't remember the last time she'd been this stressed over anything. Not even when she'd just started being a hero and confronted all the issues that had come with it had things been this stressful.

"I must be out of my element, or something…" She took a deep breath before closing her eyes.

All she needed was some rest to forget this ever happened, to go back to the way she was before.

Brown eyes looked upon her form, scanning her in a way she'd never felt before… Drinking in her body and not daring to even blink, doing so would mean missing a second of this holy view.

Her body grew hotter the more she felt that piercing gaze, not caring for subtlety and taking great pleasure in the unintended show.

She could see the way his eyes narrowed, like a predator stalking its prey, moving closer and closer with every passing second. She still had her back turned to him. While she was distracted, he took his chance.

She couldn't move… stuck in her pose, all she could do was wait for him to close the distance. A certain tingle ran up her legs, making its way up her body. She shuddered and shook as a familiar feeling reached up to her stomach, leaving her hotter still.

Her heart beat faster as she finally managed to glance back… She saw him, her best friend, a devious smirk on his face.

She wanted to say something to stop him. To claim that it had all been a misunderstanding. She froze upon feeling the soft touch of a hand slide in between her thighs… passing over her feverish flesh. It moved in slow and steady circles, before drifting up to rub her most private spot.

Her mouth opened slightly, as if she was about to speak. To say just about anything to make this stop.

"Ahh…", her body betrayed her as a soft moan escaped from between her lips. 'Ron…'

Her eyes snapped open in shock, Kim staring at her bathroom's ceiling from her position in the tub.

Heart beating strongly, breathing as heavily as if she'd run a marathon, she glanced around in confusion. Kim desperately tried to make heads or tails of what she'd experienced just now.

"What was I-" the heroine began. She felt a soft jolt run up her core, she gasped in surprise. There was something touching her… down there…

She glanced in wonder at the area and spotted her own hand wedged in between her legs, two of her fingers inserted inside of her.

Kim's hands flew up, the girl yelping in shock and horror at the absolutely unladylike thing she'd apparently done.

"What the hell!?" Her voice was weak, as if she'd forgotten how to speak. Not only had she done something like… that, but she'd thought about- No! she hadn't done anything! 'I just dozed off and… scratched an itch that was bothering me! Yeah! That's it!' Her mind scrabbled to find an explanation for her spurious behavior.

She was definitely done with her soak, ready to escape back to her room. Kim was really… really having an off day!

The redheaded teen flopped back on her bed. After her little debacle in the tub, she'd made it her new goal to erase all traces of those kinds of thoughts from her mind.

Just what the hell had she been thinking…

A familiar pair of eyes appeared in her thoughts and Kim forced her eyelids open, she just had to think about something else…

Recalling the look Ron had given her earlier made her body grow even hotter… and left her even more annoyed than she already was. Kim was already down to wearing only a bra and a pair of panties… and she was still sweating! Even with the air conditioning on!

Her legs started to rub against one another, a strange feeling keeping her awake. Her body sheened with a thin layer of sweat, she swallowed and gasped for air.

This was going to be a LONG night…

X-=-=-=-=-=-X

"Morning Ki- Wha… what happened to you?" asked the chipper voice of Monique. She'd spotted her redheaded friend and moved closer, only to be met with an exhausted-looking Kim.

"Morning Mon, had a bad night… couldn't really sleep…" Kim answered in a tired voice, she was barely able to hold herself back from yawning as she spoke.

"I'll say… You look like it, too…" The ravenette pointed to the bags under Kim's eyes. "So, what kept you up all night? Overthinking? Someone try to take over the world again?" Monique asked. She couldn't recall ever seeing her friend look this beat up and exhausted, that only left her more curious as to what the reason for it was.

"It's nothing… just stayed up way too late… From then on, it was impossible to fall asleep…" Kim lied, there was no way in hell that she was going to admit what the real cause of her restlessness had been.

"Yeah, I have those nights too every now and then… A late night is the worst when you have to come to school the next day!" the fashionista added with a shake of her head. "So, how was your little thing with Ron?"

Kim's heart was beating so loudly she could hear it in her ears. 'My thing with Ron?!' the redheaded shrieked in panic. Did Monique know about what happened?! Did Ron tell her?! Or, had she somehow figured it out?!

Her mind raced, before she calmed herself down.

"It was okay… Just played some videogames, like we usually do!" The redheaded heroine quickly concluded that Ron hadn't realized she'd notice him… Kim doubted that he'd be subtle about having been caught.

"Yeah, I figured… You know, I have half a mind to join you two one of these days… If only to see what it's like" Monique declared.

The ravenette teen didn't expect much of a response from Kim about that, she most certainly hadn't anticipated her looking so… panicked.

"No!" Kim exclaimed. "You don't want to! Trust me… all we do is play games and watch TV. Honestly, it's kind of boring…" Kim insisted, her volume gradually dying down.

"Okay? I kind of knew what you were doing… I just wanted to hang out with you guys some more… It's not like I was about to jump in between you two…" The fashionista wasn't sure what to say, but left it at that. Suddenly, she spotted someone behind her redheaded friend.

"Boring, you say?"

Kim's jumped in fear, snapping wide awake. She managed to bury her nerves a second later, before quickly turning around. Kim stared at the one person she wasn't ready to see so soon. "Well, what do you expect when all we do is play games…" she defended with a smile, her voice a bit hoarse.

"I might just have to play with people other than you!" Ron teased in an overly-dramatic voice. "I might invite Felix over instead…"

Kim started laughing, her initial fears already dissipating.

"Or, maybe just Mon here!" The blonde boy moved a bit closer to the ravenette teen. "What do you say, Mon? Interested in joining me, for a night of fun and games?"

A wave of annoyance rose up in Kim. 'Please… like Monique would actually agree to-' the redheaded teen groused.

"Mmm… you know what?" Monique took a second to 'consider' his proposal. "I did wonder what it was like… Yeah, I'll be glad to! We can leave miss grumpy-pants out of it."

"What?" Kim stated in shock. Was Ron trying to replace her? She shook the stray thoughts out of her mind. 'They're just messing with me…' Her eyebrow rose. "Ha, ha… very funny…"

"So, what happened KP? You look kind of… tired, I guess?" the blonde sidekick suddenly asked, getting his fill of messing with his partner.

"She said that she didn't get much-" Monique began.

"It's nothing! Just had an issue waking up!" The redheaded teen started walking away. "Now, come on! Or we'll be late!"

Ron and Monique were left behind even as the bell rang, marking the start of the day, staring at the shrinking figure of their redheaded friend.

The blonde boy just stared at Monique in confusion. "What was that about?"

"I'm… not sure…" the girl answered back, both deciding to make their way to class as well.

Kim didn't know what had come over her earlier, it seemed so unlike her to act in such a way. So awkward and weird… just what had happened to her?

Ron's face appeared in her mind… and with it came the look he'd given her last night. She shuddered again, frowning. 'Why do I keep think about it?!' It was maddening, to the point that she wasn't even paying attention to where she was headed after her last class.

"Oh, hey Kim!" greeted a happy male voice.

The redhead's eyes slid over to a boy she recognized instantly, 'Josh.' She'd tried asking him out last week, then somehow completely forgot about him after what had happened with her best friend the night before.

"H-Hey Josh! How's it going?" she asked lamely, smiling.

"I just finished a big art project, pretty pleased with the results too!" he explained, his tone and expression conveying honesty.

"Yeah, I know the feeling! Right after your wrap up a big job that was holding you back… Not necessarily art, but you know what I mean" the worldwide heroine commented. For some odd reason, she was having a much easier time talking to the popular boy. It was as if she wasn't nervous around him anymore, when did that happen?

"Well… I just wanted to see if you were interested in grabbing a bite, or something?" the smiling boy asked in a pleasant voice.

Kim froze for a moment, understanding hitting her. 'Did Josh just ask me out?' The answer was both a yes and no at the same time. It wouldn't be a date per se… but it was a start! That was great!

She was about to accept… before she recalled a very big issue she still had regarding her partner. She couldn't just go and have a pleasant time, not while knowing that she was ignoring her big problem with Ron. She'd only bring Josh's mood down with her own…

"Actually… I have some stuff I need to deal with, maybe next time?" she asked, hoping he wouldn't take it the wrong way.

To Kim's surprise, the fake blonde simply nodded and smiled. "Yeah, sure thing! I'll talk to you later then?" Josh responded sweetly, before moving away from her.

The younger Possible was left staring as the most popular boy at school walked down the corridor, before vanishing around the corner. She sighed at the lost opportunity, it had come at the worst possible time. "Great… I missed out on such a good chance, hopefully I'll get another" she said to herself.

"I'm sure you will!" assured someone behind her, Kim startled and turned around.

"R-Ron! What do you think you're doing?!" the redheaded teen asked, slightly angry.

Standing in front of her was her blonde partner, looking a bit confused and taken back by her sudden outburst. "Um… just saying that you'll have another chance? What's got you so jumpy?" Ron asked, a name popping into his head. "Is it Bonnie again?"

"Is Bonnie… what?" she asked, unsure as to what he meant.

"Well, you seem a bit annoyed right now… and you even told Josh you were busy. Do we have a new mission, or something?" Ron tried to think, but couldn't recall any open missions that they had yet to deal with.

Kim wanted to argue, but quickly clamped her mouth shut to prevent herself from answering. What was she supposed to say? That the only reason that she'd missed this chance was because of something he did? Maybe she should make up some family emergency?

"Y-You know… I just wasn't really feeling it today…" Kim stuttered, realizing that any other lie would be far too transparent to someone as big a part of her life as he was.

"If you say so…" He simply scratched his head and looked away. "You know that I can always ask for you, right? Josh is pretty cool, so I don't think-"

"No!" she yelled, taking a second to clear her throat. "I mean… I want to do it myself, okay?" Kim wasn't sure why she had phrased that as a question, it really was her choice from the start.

"Oh… okay? Sure, no problem. So, any plans for today?" the blonde next to her inquired.

"Not really…" the redheaded teen thoughtlessly admitted.

X-=-=-=-=-=-X

'Why did I say that?' Kim asked herself, for the fifth time in as many minutes. Her last conversation with her partner played in her mind once more.

In her state of panic, Kim had claimed she needed to deal with some stuff. Then, she'd just run away. Not in a flat-out sprint… but still a bit faster than she'd meant to.

That had been a few days ago…

Kim had already called Wade and asked him to pass on only really important, world ending requests. She'd claimed that she wasn't feeling all that great. Her friend had obviously said yes, telling her to rest for as long as she needed to. Wade had even offered to inform Ron that she needed to relax.

So, here she was… Back in her bed, her face pressed up against the soft mattress… even if it wasn't as comforting as she hoped it would be. 'What a week…' she mused to herself. First, blowing off her chance with Josh. Then running away from Ron, of all people. She'd never run away from anything! Now, there she was, hiding and avoiding him like he'd done something wrong. Why couldn't she just ignore it and face him? Like she used to, before things had gotten so complicated?

"Mmm…" Kim had only succeeded in thinking about him even harder, a familiar feeling enveloping her body.

Her legs started rubbing against one another once more, that annoying itch returning to torment her as it had before. It only seemed to come back when she was alone, when her thoughts came to the surface… Certain thoughts, that is…

It had become almost too much for her to bear, thinking about it all day and all night long. She was getting hardly any sleep! Even when she did manage to finally drop off she would wake up a few hours later, in the middle of the night, to find her hands between her legs and her body slick with sweat.

She wanted to call Ron and confront him, if only to stop her thoughts from tormenting her. Sadly, she always got cold feet. Kim would chicken out at the last minute, every time.

Her head was throbbing, she desperately needed to rest but was finding no success.

'What if I just…' her tired mind pondered, she didn't see any other way. Maybe it was a testament to how exhausted she was, or perhaps that – despite everything - she was finally thinking clearly.

Her hand very slowly made its way down to the juncture of her thighs…
