At night at a Shop named dust till dawn as a door rings open the owner of the shop turns to greet the customer
"welcome to dust till Dawn how may I help you" he said as he saw a tall blonde youngman alittle over 6ft with blue saphire eyes with what looks like armor on his torso over his short sleeved hoodie and jeans with some combat boots
"um yes hello do you know where to the comics and weapon catalogs are?" the young man asked
"sure their right over there" the owner said pointing at the direction on where they are and the lad walked towards it and the door chimed again
"welcome to dust till dawn how may I help you " said the owner again seeing a young girl
"uhm hello do you have any weapon catalogs?" asked the young girl slightly over 5ft with a gothic look
"yeah their over there" he said pointed the way where they are as she went to the direction
as she was looking for it she saw the last one and was about to grab it but at the same time another arm reached for it and and then they both noticed eachother and quickly retract their hands from eachother and rub the back of their necks in emberrasment
"You can have it" they said in unison
"Oh no please I insist you can have it" again in unison
As they stayed in an awkward silence
'Well this is awkward' they both thought in unison
"Well why don't we share the catalog umm?" Asked the girl and for the boys name
"Sure and sorry My name Jaune Be- Arc, Jaune Arc nice to meet you miss..." Jaune introduced himself nearly sliping but catching himself thanfully she didn't catch his small slip
"Ruby Rose same here nice to meet you Jaune now why don't we see does weapons and please don't call ma miss it makes me sound old"
"sure"
as they browse throgh the catalog and talk about some weapons that got their intrest in the cataloge or just threw some jokes as they laugh at some of them as they were having a good time they were deep into their conversation that they didn't notice the ring of the door
"hello welcome to-"as he saw the infamous Roman Torchwick infront of him with guys in black suits behind him
"do you have any Idea how hard it is to find a dust shop open this late?" retorted Roman Torchwick
"Please just take the money and please leave" the asked
"don't worry were here for the Lien, grab the dust" Said Roman Torchwick and then ordered the men raided the store for the dust
and one of the thugs looked around and saw the two kids chatting and laughing you would most likely mistake them as a couple
"hey you two" the man called out to them
they both ignored him and it ticked him off
"Hey!" he yelled which got both of their attentions
"put your hands up and don't try anything" he said pointing his weapon at the two as they look at the guy then glance at eachother then look back at ther man
"are you robbing us ?" asked Ruby
"uh yeah!"He said in annoyance
"ooooohhhh" was the only thing that came out of Jaune's mouth as they both smirked and looked at eachother knowing what the other was thiniking
then out of nowhere the man was thrown out of a window as instanlly Ruby followed and Roman torchwick peaks outside with the men doing the same
as she looks back holding her headphone in hand as the master thief and the rest of the cronies looked stunned at what just happend
"okay...?"he said as he got out of his stupper then looked at the men "after her!" he again ordered them in annoyance as they went to attack her as she then imbeded the sharp end of the scythe in the ground and the man went to attack her but she then dodged and with the help of Crescent Rose as she used it to do a drop kick in one of the goons face as then the other two attacked her she the shot the ground and spun by the momentum and hit one of the grunts with the flat end of the scythe and the man was sent flying
as the other guy was about to go and hit her and Ruby was prepared to hit the man back but
Crack
a cracking sound was heard as everyone stopped and looked at the direction where it came from and saw Jaune now noticing his presence
"hey" he greeted as he gave them a two finger salute as they noticedwhat he was holding in his hand and it looks like an old whip and it looks like it was used excesevly but then the man sees it was wraped around his ankle as Jaune saw this he smirked and with a powerful yank the man fell face first to the ground and with great ease he took out a sword and threw it towards the other man cutting through the gun shocking those that saw what happend as it sparks and explodes as the sword was shot into the air as they see it flipping in the air it falls to the ground but was quickly caught by Jaune as the boy stands right infront of him just staring at the Grunt in the eyes as the grunt sweats
"boo!"was the only thing he said as he sheaths his sword
"aahh!"the grunt screams and runs away from the boy but instantly runs head first to a light post knocking himself out as Roman just sighs
"you boys were worth every cent truly you were but isn't it past both you kids bed time don't want the monsters coming out taking people away now" said Torchwick trying to scare them not working with Jaune as he has a neutral look but Ruby was sweating while looking around nervously for any monsters to appear
"but anyways it's time we split ways au revoir" he bowed as he quickly aimed at the two and shot and Jaune instinctivly grabbed onto Ruby by the rist and pulled her towards his chest which made her blush as he pulled out his shield
cause to be honest the guy looks a bit skinny but now feeling his chest he was anything but skiny and she was feeling warm and safe with Jaune he takes out his shield and got behind it shielding them both as a blinding light flashed and torchwick dissapeared
as Jaune carefully pushes Ruby away and for some reason she... felt sad? when the warmth left had left but then quickly remembers what happend so she was looking for the criminal as well Jaune They were looking for where he went and then Ruby spoted the man on top of the building close by
"he's over there!"Yelled Ruby pointing at the escaping master thief as she was about to go after him they coughing as they turned to see the owner of the the store on the ground coughing as she was about to talk to the man Jaune went towards the man worried
"sir are you ok are you hurt anywhere do you feel pain anywhere?"Jaune asked worried and the man shook his head in saying that he was fine as Jaune sighs in relief he turns to Ruby
"go after him i'll catch up to you I need to get to this man somewhere safe first" Jaune order Ruby to follow torchwick and she nodded as she used petal burst to catch up to the criminal and Jaune took the old man to a safe place and called the authorities after he did so he then went to go help Ruby

As she got on top of the building she quickly caught up to the man
"Hey!"she called out to him to stop
"so persistant" he mutters under his breath annoyed at his luck and how bad his day has been happening
then a the sound of an engine was heard as a bullhead was flying right infront of the master thief he quickly climbed up the bullhead looking at the girl and takes out a C4 with fire dust within it
"it's the end of the line red"he said
then threw it towards her and she looked in shock and Roman took out the remote detinater and pressed it but instead of it exploding infront of the girl it exploded on top of the bullhead shaking it as all were shocked as then they see Jaune standing infront of Ruby sweating and breathing heavily and were shocked how did he appear while holding in his hand a pocket watch as he puts it away in his pocket thankfully no one noticed
as then a women appeared then infront the two holding down the Bullead with her telekenisis as Roman torchwick ran to the flightdeck
"we've got company " he said to the lady that is reasponsible for the jobs he's doing
she walks to the door the shadows blocking her face with the only thing seen if a her fangs and then she threw a powerful fireball at the three but glynda blocked it but it made her let go of the bullhead
as it flew away to the distance to the distance the woman turned around to the two as Ruby looks excited while Jaune was sweating perfusly
"OhmyOumareyouahuntresscanIgetyourautograph" she said excitedly
then they are sitting in a chair in the police department as Ruby looks down while Jaune sits down not amoused but if you look closely you could see trickle of sweat can be seen and also he's inwardly panicking
"I hope You two understand that the actions you did will not be taken lightly you two put yourself and others in great danger" the woman scolded them
"but they started it" whined Ruby while Jaune was trying to stay quiet hoping to not get pulled into the conversation
"if it were up to me you be sent home with a pat on the back" she said honestly and saw Ruby smiling But for Jaune
'wait for it ' he thought
"and a slap on the wrist" she said while cracking the riding crop
"eep" squeaked out Ruby
'there it is, same old Glynda' thought Jaune as Glynda hasn't changed that much as he remembered
"but there's someone that would like to meet you both"she informed them both which made both perk up
as a man walks out while having a plate of cookies
"Ruby Rose"he walks closely and looks Ruby in the eyes "Hmm You have silver eyes"
"Um"
"But besides that may I ask where did you learned to do this" he said as he shows the video of the fight earlier near the shopping district
"Signal Academy" she replied
he raised a brow "they taught you how to use one of possibly most dangerous weapon ever Designed in this era?" he asked
"Well one teacher in particular" she answered
"hm I see" he simply said as he gives the plate of cookies she then starts to goble down the plate of cookies which impressesed that she could eat so much cookies so quickly
Now looking closely at the video footage Jaune had to say that it was impressive of how the girl can handle her self it's really good fighting it the practiced in the movement and how she uses her speed shows the amount hard work she put in not that he's doubting her abilities
"and you young man Jaune Arc "Ozpin looked at Jaune withJaune looking back at him
"I must say that your uses of the whip and your sword and shield are quiet remarkable may I ask where did you learn how to fight like this?" asked Ozpin as Jaune kindly asked Ruby for a cookie as she only gave him one but still kept eating the most of them but hearing the questio that ozpin asked she to was intreged where he learned how to fight like that
"oh from my family i never went to a huntsman school and some other things are " he simply said which got Ozpin curious and with Ruby shocked that he never went to a huntsman school but was able to like that which was so cool
"oh the whip and the sword and shield"
"not just those two but their the main ones we focus on" he crypticly said while looking back at Ozpin
"well you see miss Rose their was only one scythe wieder of that skill that I've seen before a dusty old crow" Ozpin looked back at Ruby as she was looking at Jaune while still eating her cookies but then looked at Ozpin
"thats my uncle crow" she said with a mouth full of cookies
"um Ruby your mouth is Jaune gave her
"sorry that's my uncle crow he's a teacher at signal i was complete garbage before he took me under his wing and now i'm all like, wacha, hoo"she said and was doing fighting poses while doing the affects
'cute' thought Jaune
"I noticed and what is an adorable girl such as yourself doing in a school ment for warriors ?" asked the man
"oh, well I want to be a huntress" she plainly said
"to slay monsters"
"yeah you see I only have 2 years left at signal and after that I'm going to apply for Beacon and my sister is going to beacon this year to become a huntress and our parents taught us to help people so I thought why not I know that police and other jobs do that to but huntsman and huntress are so much cooler and romantic like come on, you know " she said as she looks around the room while Ozpin drinks his coffee, Glynda not looking amused with the same stoic expression, and Jaune looks at her smiling not seeing anything wrong with wanting to help people and thought that she looked cute when she was tlkng passionately as she shyly looks down to the ground
"miss Rose do you know who i am?" as ked Ozpin with a raised brow and a smile
" your Ozpin the Headmaster of Beacon academy" she said excitedly
"hello"he chuckled as he introduced himself
"nice to meet you" Ruby said giddy
"want join my school?" He asked
"more than anything"she said
As Ozpin looks at Glynda she rolls her eyes and sighs "welcome to Beacon miss Rose"
As Ruby squeals in joy for hoping this isn't a dream and Jaune was happy for her
"you may leave miss Rose but but stays" he said as h=she turns to her new friend and is worried as he just smiles at her
"it's ok Ruby go i'll meet you later" he said and waved to as she left and looked backto the two adults
"is this about my father?" Jaune asked
"No Mr. Arc " reassured Ozpin as out of no where he put a brief case on the desk
"or should I call you by your birth name Jaune Belmont Arc" Said Ozpin as he put the cup of coffee down and intertwined his fingers
"damnit" Jaune cursed under his breath
