Izuku took a deep breath. He stood at the edge of the rooftop. He looked down at the ground and gulped. What Bakugo said earlier today had impacted him.

"Why not jump off the roof and pray to get a Quirk in the next life?"

Was that his plan? Was he really gonna do it? He was contemplating it for a while. Maybe it was the right thing to do. Nobody would miss him anyways, he thought to himself...

He closed his eyes tightly and then... He stepped backwards. He couldn't do it. He couldn't do it even if he wanted to. He was just a coward. A useless person. Guess Bakugo was right after all. Izuku sighed.

Before he thought of anything else, he heard something... Something moving... He turned around and observed the area but nothing was there.

"Hello? Is there someone there?" He asked. But no response.

Soon after, black spots began to materialize on the floor and from those block spots, emerged short creatures that had pitch black bodies and yellow eyes.

Izuku's eyes widened when he saw the creatures and shook. "W-What the!? What are you!?" He stammered.

The black creatures began to approach him, Izuku took a step back but realized that he was trapped as there was no more roof for him to walk on.

The creatures approached slowly and slowly... Izuku shook where he stood and then suddenly.

BAM!

One of the creatures swiped it's hand onto Izuku's chest making him fall backwards.

Izuku's eyes widened when he realized what just happened and began internally panicking as he falls towards the ground. "Oh god! Oh god! Oh god!" He repeated to himself.

Was this the end? Was this how his miserable life came to a close? But, he was supposed to be a hero... A symbol that would bring peace wherever he went... It couldn't end this way... Right?

But sadly, like he learned from his early years, life isn't exactly as you expected. Maybe this was truly it.

Izuku continued falling as he noticed his body began to glow. He didn't know what was happening but he didn't care. He was going to die anyway.

He was getting close to the ground now. Without anything else to do, Izuku closed his eyes and hoped that it would be quick and painless.

And so he waited... And waited... And waited...

Huh? Why hasn't he hit the ground yet? Surely, he would've by now and yet he still felt like he was falling.

Izuku opened his eyes and saw that he was falling into an endless void. Darkness surrounded him. Izuku couldn't believe what he was seeing. Was he dying? Is this what death is like? Everlasting darkness?

It was scary. Fear quickly overtook Izuku and he began tearing up. "I..." He spoke out. "I... I don't want to die!"

...

...

...

He opened his eyes and was suddenly on the ground. The ground felt... Strange. It felt like glass. The boy got up and he observed the floor and it was a large circular platform that had an image of himself! Or at least a boy that looked like him... He was sound asleep in the image.

The boy then heard something coming from the ground and from it rose three pedestals. Each of them with a sword, a shield and a staff with a mouse symbol on it.

Curious, the boy approached the items. He walked towards the sword and grabbed it. Then he heard a whisper.

"The power of the warrior. It will grant it's wielder immense strength. Is this the power you seek?"

The boy thought about it for a while. It would be nice to feel strong. He nodded and suddenly the sword vanished into thin air. The whisper came back.

"Your path is set. Now, what will you give up in exchange?"

The boy turned around and looked between the two items in front of him: The shield and the staff. The boy then walked towards the shield and grabbed it in his hands.

"The power of the guardian. A shield to repel damage. Give up this power?"

The boy contemplated. Would defense matter if he was strong? He'll probably find it out on the way. He nodded and like the sword, the shield disappeared into tiny light particles.

Suddenly, the pedestals disappeared and the boy heard glass breaking. He looked down and saw the platform breaking apart until there was nothing left and he began to plummet.

After falling for a while, another platform appeared and the boy lightly floated on top of it. Then, the sword he picked up earlier materialized into his hands.

"You've gained the power to fight. Use this power to protect yourself and others."

And then, three grey, lanky creatures appeared in front of him. The boy gasped in shock and went into a fighting stance with the sword.

"There will be times you have to fight. Keep your light burning strong."

The creatures slithered around him, making weird movements. One of them approached the boy from behind and tried to attack only for the boy to swing the sword and destroy the creature in a hit.

The boy gripped his sword tighter and ran to the other two. He swung the sword and destroyed the two creatures in two swings.

"You grow stronger by defeating enemies."

Suddenly, a small chest appeared in front of him. The boy curiously approached it and then it opened by itself. Inside was a small green potion.

"You may need items to aid you in your journey."

The green potion disappeared from the chest and then so did the chest itself.

Then, two large double doors appeared and the boy walked through them into another empty platform. He walked towards the center and looked around before hearing a large stomp behind him.

The boy turned around and gasped in shock and horror as he saw a large creature materialize in front of him. He walked backwards in fear of the monster and tried to run away only to almost fall off the platform.

The giant monster looked similar to the grey creatures that attacked him earlier and it wore what appeared to be a large blue scarf around its neck and a strange symbol on its face.

The boy took a fighting position with the sword and readied himself. The monster slithered around the platform and dove headfirst into it. Suddenly, it's body elongated itself and fired lasers from it's hands and feet.

The boy dodged the lasers and attacked it's head. Then, the large monster stopped attacking and wiggled onto it's feet.

A bright glow began to appear from the boy's body and his vision got brighter and brighter until he couldn't see. The brightness subsided and the boy found himself suspended by his hands and feet by some strange energy.

The large creature appeared in front of him and readied a punch before the boy quickly dodged it and counterattacked, knocking it back a bit.

The monster's arms then stretched and grabbed the boy before it threw him high into the air. The monster readied another attack but the boy was quick and swiped his sword through the monster's head, knocking it out.

The monster then fell off the platform and disappeared for a while. Everything was quiet for the boy until suddenly, the entire platform began to tilt. Quickly, the boy used his sword and stabbed the floor before he could fall and saw the monster standing on the underside of the platform, readying a giant energy ball.

The monster flew upwards and the platform threw the boy towards it. A large energy ball in hands, the monster threw it towards the boy.

Quickly, the boy threw his sword towards the ball and it exploded, making both him and the monster fall towards the platform.

They both hit the floor hard and the sword landed right next to the boy. Groaning, he got up and grabbed it off the floor and readied himself for more attacks until the large creature began to disintegrate into darkness.

The darkness began to consume the entire platform and drag the boy inside it. The boy tried to pull himself away from the darkness but it was too much. He felt himself sinking into it until all he could see was nothing but darkness...

...

...

The boy woke up, and found himself on the grass. He rubbed his head and looked around and saw a large gate with a big keyhole on it leading to a large mansion.

The boy was confused but before he could observe it more, a dark portal appeared before him and a large, cloaked figure stepped through it.

The figure approached the boy. "I feel a strong power emanating from you. Do you want to know?" He asked the boy and then swiped his hand over him which made letters appear. Letters that spell 'IZUKU'.

"You can't feel anything. You can't have feelings. Do you want to have a meaning?"

The letters then began to scramble and spin around the confused boy before the figure stopped the letters and added a large X amongst the new name.

The figure hummed. "Kizuxu. A new you."

To be continued...
