The Galaxy is getting closer to war when the Galactic Republic faces a new threat of a Separatist Alliance. The Republic is desperate to seek a new army to prepare for the upcoming war and the Jedi Order will not be enough to defend the galaxy. Luckily, the Jedi found a clone army on planet Kamino. Only two hundred thousand clone troopers were ready for combat once the Republic agreed to accept them as their new army. However, millions of them have been cloned but most of them are infants and children. Before the war begins, a band of five clone teenagers were training in the simulator.
On planet Kamino in Tipoca City, four clone teens seek cover while wearing training armor as they're being blasted by multiple turrets. The brothers are pinned down by the waves of blasts as they try to form a plan. "I can't believe you talked us into this dumb simulation, Thrasher," one of them yelled at his brother. "We're still teenagers! We're not ready for any battle!"
"Oh lighten up, Dash," Thrasher laughs. "I wanna be in the action! And this is as close as we can get it! Besides, we're all fit for battle!"
"Not me! I'm a medic," one of them told him. "The Kaminoans taught me how to treat our brothers from injuries! Not to be in combat!"
Suddenly, a few of the turrets were shot down as the four teens turned to the shooter to see their leader rush to his brothers while blasting at the sentry turrets with his dual pistols. The young leader rolled over and landed next to his team. "Glad you could join us, Angel? Been too busy having fun again," Dash asked his leader.
The leader nodded but his training helmet didn't reveal his face through his visor. "So, you got a plan getting us to the finish line, brother," a clone named Etah asked his leader.
Angel used hand signals to reveal their plan of success while his brothers listened in. The squad breaks as Thrasher and Med seek cover further away and distract the turrets by blasting them while their other brothers move in closer. The three clones begin blasting at the turrets until they're all down. The five brothers fired their grappling attachments to the top of the citadel and Angel grabbed the flag while his team cheered at their victory.
After the training was done and won, the five clone brothers exited the training room with all, except Angel, their helmets off. As they were chatting among themselves, they were suddenly approached by three Mandalorians as they were flying and landing in front of them. "It's the Cuy'val Dar," Etah whispered to his brothers. "What do they want with us?"
The leader of the Mandalorians named B'arin Apma approaches the clones as he and his fellow members take off their helmets. "You young troops did great in your first simulation," the leader told the clones. "Most of you wouldn't have accomplished this if it weren't for your fellow leader, Angel."
"Thank you, sir," Dash saluted to his superiors. "We appreciate your compliments."
"It wasn't a compliment, dummy," Llats Wards insulted the clone. "We're saying that none of you would've made it if it wasn't your clone brother Angel… oh wait… he's not even one of you!" The rough Mandalorian laughed until the female member shoved him to silence.
"Regardless, you all did well in training," the leader told the clones. "Especially you, Angel. Your father would be very proud." Suddenly, the clone leader became upset as he went past the Mandalorians and exited the room, which concerned his team.
In the living quarters, the team of young clones enters and finds Angel still wearing his training armor while he's sitting on his bed tub as he's down. "Ha Angel," Dash greets him as he and his brothers approach him. "How are you feeling? Are you still upset about what the Mandalorians said earlier? Don't let it bring you down."
"Yeah," Etah agreed. "No matter what they and the Kaminoans say. You're still our brother no matter what."
Then, Angel stood up and threw his helmet away in a rage, revealing that he isn't the clone of Jango Fett. "If I'm your brother, then how come I don't look like any of you," he shouted. "I mean look at me! I'm nothing like you!"
"Come on, Angel," Medic Med calmed his leader down. "You've been raised and trained with us for so long. You helped us become better soldiers and helped us be ready for any war. You are our brother."
"The reason I was made is so I can be a replacement for that deceased son of his. And then he tossed me aside for a clone son of himself instead. The only reason why the Kaminoans didn't dispose of me was that they thought I would be of some use to their army. I'm just expendable."
"We're all made expendable, Angel," Etah comforts his brother by laying his hand on his shoulder. "You're not alone, brother. If the Kaminoans really cared about us, they would have hired the bounty hunter to train us instead of using his DNA to clone us. If they want us to become like him, then they would've trained us by him. But they hired other bounty hunters to train us instead."
"The only reason why we were made is to serve as an army for these democrat crowds for their war," Dash added. "They're too busy talking politics than recruiting an army of their own."
"Can we please lower our voices," Med told them. "I don't want us to get in trouble after our training session."
"Who cares, Med," Thrasher told him. "We already topped the other training simulations. And we're still teenagers. Man, I already wanna have my own armor and customize it!"
"I'm not sure we can get to customize our armors," Dash told him.
"We can. Just you wait! As soon as we get our armor, we can do whatever we want with them!"
"Now you're talking nonsense."
While they were talking, Angel decided to storm off, still upset about his past. Only Ethan noticed him leaving and caught up to him. "Angel, where are you going," he asked his brother with concern.
"I'm just going for a walk alone," he told him. "I just want some time to myself." Angel heads off on his own, leaving his closest brothers.
Moments later, Angel stared through the observation window of all the infant clones in the egg lab section. He stared at all of his cloned brothers before looking at himself in the reflection. "Angel," his name was called by one of his clone brothers.
When he turns towards the trooper, Angel is surprised to see his clone brother, Rex, wearing his armor with red markings as he approaches him. "Rex? Is that you," he asked him.
"Yup. I heard about your training. That was amazing for a well-trained clone at your age to accomplish. Not many have a chance to test out the simulation as a teen."
"Don't you mean a mistake?"
"Angel, don't talk like that. You're not a mistake. You're one of us."
"No, I'm not… all of you are his clones… I'm just a clone of his dead son…"
"Yeah, I heard about that. But look it doesn't matter if you don't look like one of us. You have been made, trained, and lived with us since the day you were made. No matter what you look like, you're still one of us, Angel. You're our brother."
"I… I appreciate it, Rex. It's just… I was created to become a replacement for his deceased son and he trained me to become just like him… only to be replaced by a clone kid of himself…"
"They only label you as his son but he replaced you for someone else… That means you can be your own person, Angel. You get to decide who you are and who you want to be. Don't let anyone control your life. You are who you are, brother."
"I… Thank you, Rex. I… I really appreciate it. It means a lot to me, brother. Or should I say, captain," Angel smiles at Rex while giving him a salute as the captain did the same.
Suddenly, a siren went off across the city, catching the two off guard. All of the clone troopers rushed to the landing bay in a hurry as Rex did the same. "Huh? Wait what's going on," Angel asked his brother.
"That's the war siren! We're going to war! Take care of our home while I'm gone, Angel! I'll see you again!"
Angel stood there and watched so many of his brothers rush off to get ready for their first battle. Suddenly, he spotted the two male Mandalorians walking past them calmly. He rushed to them both and asked confused, "Where are you two going? Did you hear the siren?"
"Our jobs are done here, kid," B'arin Apma told him. "We're leaving."
"But my brothers are heading to a battle. They're going to need some help."
"So," Llats Wards laughs. "Not our problem! We were hired to train you clones and now that there's going to be a war, we want nothing to be a part of it."
"You know, Angel," the leader of the Mandalorian told the clone. "You were only created to become Jango Fett's son. But since he doesn't want you, you can join our clan."
"Wait… what," Angel was surprised by the offer. "Are you joking?"
"No. You're well-gifted and easily passed your first training simulation. You got what it takes to become a Mandalorian."
"Bu-But my brothers-"
"You know that they're not your brothers. They're just clones of Jango. You're nothing like them. You're more special than them. Their choice has already been made… but you're the only one who has a choice. What do you say? Do you want to join the Cuy'val Dar?"
The clone was silent for a while from the surprising offer as he looked at his fellow clone brothers and the Mandalorians. "I… I appreciate the offer but… they are my brothers. And they need me. I have to pass."
"Told you it was a waste of time," the green-armored Mandalorian told his leader before B'arin elbowed him.
"I understand, Angel," the gray-armored warrior told the clone. "If you ever want to give us a chance, just give us a call. You would've made a great Mandalorian." The two of them head off, leaving the clone alone. Angel realized that so many of his clone brothers are heading off to war and they need his help. He immediately rushed off to find his team and tell them his plan.
Finally, Angel regrouped with his four brothers in a rush while they were confused by the sirens. "Angel," Etah called his brother, concerned. "What's going on? What's with the sirens?"
"War. That's the siren for war."
"What? Now?"
"All of our brothers are going to war already," Dash asked, shocked.
"And without us," Thrasher said, annoyed.
"Wrong! We're going to join them," Angel told them as they were all shocked.
"What? Angel, we're still teenagers," Med told him. "We're not ready for war yet. We have to wait like a year or so to grow into our-"
"We completed our first training simulator just earlier. If we can handle that, then we're more than ready for anything that throws at us."
"Yeah but what you're saying is treason and illegal," Dash told him. "They would punish us if we joined the war without their permission."
"I understand your concern. Trust me I do but these are our brothers we're talking about. We look up to them, raise with them, and rely on them to take care of us. They're going to battle against an unknown enemy and there will be casualties. They need all the help they can get. And sooner or later we will go to war. We might as well join in now. It's our time to stand with them. Now… are you with me, my brothers?"
The four clones look at each other and they step forward at attention. "Yes brother," they nodded in unison.
"Thank you. Now, let's go and fight with our brothers."
"Wait," Etah stopped him. "How are we going to board the carrier? They'll see and stop us at the entrance."
"I can help you five."
They all turn around and spot the female Mandalorian, Vhonte Tervho. She removes her helmet and reveals her face as she shakes her long red hair. "You're one of the Mandalorians that train us," Angel says to her. "Why do you want to help us?"
"Because your speech was inspiring," she told him. "I admire a soldier who would do anything for his men-I mean brothers. And besides, you're right. They need all the help they can get when they fight Geonosis."
"What's that?"
"The planet they're going to fight on. Home to those disgusting flying bugs, Geonosians. From what I've heard, they also are going to fight battle droids and even upgraded ones."
"That gives us more reason to fight with our brothers now," Angel told his team.
"That's good to hear. Now, come on and hurry before they take off!" The Mandalorian leads the band of brothers to the landing bay to join the clone army.
At the landing bay, the six of them sneaked through the loading section while numerous clones were getting ready to load the assault ships. The team waited for the perfect time to sneak aboard the frigates as they watched the many clones gathered together. They spotted so many different types of soldiers formed as they armed themselves for the upcoming battle.
"Whoa! There are so many of our brothers," Dash told them. "Look! Those must be the ARC Troopers. They're the elite clones. They can handle anything. They must be the first batch."
"What? Those are the commandos," Thrasher told them. "They're the real elites out of all of us. I heard only four of them can take down an army. I wanna become one of them so badly."
"They all waited for this moment to come," Angel told them. "They have trained their entire lives for this upcoming war. And we must fight with them and bring so many of our brothers back home."
"Alright, here's our opportunity," Vhonte alerted them as she pointed at one of the assault ships that were about to take off. "We'll hop onto the landing gears and climb inside. We'll hide within the loading dock until we arrive. Then, we head to the armory to get you all suited up."
"Understood! Let's go brothers!"
Finally, the rest of them rushed to one of the landing stands while remaining stealthy as they started to climb it. Angel managed to enter the chamber of the frigate and helped Vhonte and his brothers inside before taking off. They all went through vents and headed to the armory to gather supplies.
When what was left of the troopers exited the armory, the group exited the vents and gathered the gears they needed for the upcoming battle. The clone brothers put on phase one armor for the first time. "So this is what's going to feel like when we're adults," Thrasher told his brothers. "Gonna be honest… I thought they were going to be heavy."
"If they're going to be heavy, then how are we going to fight properly against our enemy, Thrasher," Dash told him. "We're just lucky enough to get a chance to wear these bad boys."
Angel noticed a phase one helmet with a rangefinder attachment to it. "That's for the ARC troopers," the Mandalorian told him. "It looks like a private helmet. We were training privates but the Kaminoians wanted us to train those above that rank instead. You can wear that if you want to."
The clone gives some thoughts about it and decides to put it on. "You looked good in that helmet," Etah compliments his brother. "It looks like it'll come in handy."
"Thanks."
Angel grabs two blaster carbines and places them on his back while grabbing two pistols to place them on his hips. Etah and Med use the carbines while Dash and Thrasher place the heavy blasters on their backs. The reckless clone chuckles in excitement as he picks up a minigun, which concerned his brothers. "Now we're talking," he shouted.
"Thrasher, lower your voice," Dash whispered.
"We only need to carry what we need, Thrash," Angel told him.
"This is what we need," he told his brothers. "We're going to war, aren't we?"
"I'm gonna need some medical supplies for any wounded," Med told them.
"I can take you to the supplies," Vhonte told him as she led him out of the room. "The rest of you try to blend in."
"Angel, are you sure we're ready for this," Dash asked his brother. "I mean we're still young. We're not old enough to be drafted off to war."
"I know… we're still teenagers," Angel acknowledged. "We may not even last long on the battlefield… but our brothers need all the help they can get. We will lose so many of our brothers in this battle but we can save as much as we can. If we work together and have each other's backs, then we can get through anything and win this war. Are you still with me, my brothers?"
"All the way, brother," Etah told him as Dash and Thrasher nodded.
"Alright. Make sure you have the equipment you need for this battle. It's going to be one hell of a fight."
Then, Vhonte returned to the clone brothers and pulled Angel to somewhere private to discuss something on the matter. "Angel, I'm not sure if you were told but I have to tell you something that we might run into during the battlefield," she told him.
"What is it," Angel asked the Mandalorian.
"I heard rumors that… Jango Fett is working for the Separatists. If we're attacking the Separatist, then we might run into him."
The clone was silent for a while of the thoughts of running into his false father and might fight during the deadly battle. "Thank you for telling me," he told her. "The very man who helped create so many of my brothers is working for the enemies. He has no honor and no allegiance."
"He is a bounty hunter after all. They have no allegiance but I understand how upset you are."
"I hope we don't run into him and be someone else's problem. But if he kills any of my brothers… I won't hesitate to kill him."
"Let's hope it won't come to that."
"How long do we have before we arrive at Geonosis?"
"In an hour. I heard that the Jedi are there fighting them as we speak. So, we might fight alongside them when we arrive."
"Jedi? I've never seen them before. I hope they'll come in handy."
"Trust me when you see them in action, you'll be very impressed." The two return to the others as they await their first battle and the beginning of the Clone Wars.
