Hello, this is my first writing of anything really. I'd really appreciate any criticism.

All characters in this fic are well above the legal age and in post grad life. Please note this is horror fanfic though so, uh beware!

Please enjoy.

Waking up at the crack of dawn was a trait that was impeded into a Hyuga the moment you walk this earth. Early training with father and her sister would even begin as early as 4am unsurprisingly, but right now the very tired and hungover girl wanted nothing more than to pull the comforter over her head and sleep for another 12 hours until she regained her strength. Unfortunately the rising sun had other plans for her today.

"Ugh... too b-bright.."

Dull aching pain throbbed as Hinata began to reluctantly wake up. Her eyes barely squinted open only to be met with the cracks of sunrise coming out of the window and annoyingly right on her eyes.

It's…10:30am most likely she grumbled to herself attempting to rise out of her bed. She pulled herself out of the bed only to be met with the splintering headache from rising up too fast.

'Oww… how does ino do this every weekend….?' she sighed

Ino. Her roommate and the cause of her hangover. Last night ino had managed to convince her to go celebrate her recent thesis scholarship and well, partying began to get a bit too much. Which now leaves Hinata in her weak and cranky state. Honestly last night felt like a blur and can't even recall how much she drank. Right now all that matters is water. Lots of water and maybe a cinnamon bun wouldn't hurt either.

'I'll text Ino to see if she needs anything…oh goodness.' Hinata paled to think what state her blonde roommate was in. At the end of the night she was a hyperactive happy blonde slurring her speech and forcing everyone around her to join in drinking their body weight in alcohol.

Hinata went to her nightstand reaching for her probably dead phone but soon realized it wasn't there. She frowned; she probably misplaced her phone and threw it haphazardly in some random room before she went to bed but still any movement was unbearable for her to do so she simply scanned the room, only to make an interesting realization.

This wasn't her bed. She had only now realized that instead of her fluffy lavender comforter she was wrapped around a pitch black duvet and matching bed set.

This also wasn't her or inos room. The room in general lacked any decor other than a nightstand bookshelf and dresser. Which was certainly a far cry from the girly messy rooms the girls had.

The room was really a far cry from anyone she knows.

"W-where a-am I….?" Hinata said out loud trembling as she realized the state of the situation. She swung her feet over the bed. Whatever hangover she had now was surpassed by terror. Terror of this strange and eerie room. Terror of not having her phone or wallet on her. Terror of….

'Whereever the hell this place is..'

The very empty room soon felt too small and claustrophobic for her. Her eyes darted all around the room but too scared to move her body a single inch. She soon began to tremble with fear as realized what type of situation she was in. Hinata, hungover, dehydrated and exhausted with no clue where she is nor where her cell phone was caused to quietly hyperventilate to herself.

Her mind ran to the worst possible scenarios. Cold Sweat running down her as her imagination conjured different scenarios of her fate. Robbed and abandoned alone in an unfamiliar home while her perpetrator sat in the next room waiting for her to awake so he could do whatever ever wanted?! She began to chew at her nails, a nervous habit she had previously broken as her stomach cramped in stress

Will he rape me? Kill me? Oh god what if he wants to torture me for fun! She squeezed her eyes tight, so hard it hurt and cried silently and hugged herself and began to hunch over in fear.

She started biting her lips now to the point of bruising. A nasty habitat her father hated and ridiculed her for. What would he think of her now? His eldest daughter after making a series of terrible choices now killed by her own selfish actions. Truly a disappointment to the en- 'S-stop it!' She told herself quietly. Years of harsh treatment and disappointment from her father had led to this way of thinking. Crumbling under the smallest obstacle and panicking until she would pass out from exhaustion.

Not this time she told herself. She forced herself to stand up straight and take a minute to regulate her breathing.

Now that's more like she thought calmly to herself. She can actually try to assess this….situation.

She stood from the bed and glanced all over the room and spotted a mirror. It was a rather small one that was placed on the dresser but she was able to catch a glimpse of her reflection.

Her dress, a black simple knee length strapless dress was still on her fully with no signs of tears or stains on it and even her bracelet and necklace were still on her. This was a good sign…for now. This stranger clearly wasn't in the market of robbing or raping her just yet which Hinata took as a win.

Next was getting out of this room. The bedroom had a door closed which Hinata also took a small victory. I mean, wouldn't a kidnapper want the door fully open to keep a close eye on her?

'Unless they have cameras….' she thought with worry.

Last thing left to investigate was the door. It's what made her stomach flip the most with worried questions. Was it locked? Would they hear me open it? Will they hear me open the door? What's on the other side of this door? Will I be able to escape if I get through? Were all the questions running down her back as she slowly and quietly tiptoed to the door.

What felt like minutes went by, those footsteps led her in front of the tall black door and her hand barely grazed the cold bronze handle.

'Well…only one way to find out…!' She thought and slowly turned the knob open.

It's….

*Click*

'Not locked! That's good…right?' She wondered and slowly opened the door with a soft creak.

Behind the door revealed a small hallway with two other closed doors and what looked like a kitchen and common area.

She took another deep breath and poked her head out of the room to be greeted with nothing and nobody. The only items in the hallway were generic art decor and not much else to really note. She pulled her body to venture out of the room more and found herself at the edge of the kitchen where…. they sat.

In the middle of the small kitchenette sat a person holding a newspaper covering the face and body of the supposed owner of this home. Hinata tried her hardest to get any glimpse of them while she stayed in the hallway, but her own anxious presence had made herself known and the mysterious reader had flicked the paper down from their gaze and locked eyes with Hinatas.

Onyx was the only thing to meet her pearly lavender ones. At this distance nothing was to note in those eyes except an endless abyss of darkness that bore on a handsome yet equally as emotionless face.

Wait… handsome and stoic face?

"…s-sasuke…?"

His stayed the same but she could've sworn his eyes squinted as if he were smiling.

"Hn."

"Ooo-ooh my-yy goodness!" 'I'm in Sasuke's house!' she screams internally with relief.

Sasuke and Hinata were not… close per say but they definitely were on friendly terms. Their short history together wasn't much to write about but still Hinata had valued their secret friendship.

During their undergrad years Hinata and Sasuke would often find each other in the library together studying. Hinata would always note the same handsome guy studying in the same private never occupied desks just like her. Hinata after seeing him almost every week day at the same time, began small talk with him as they'd leave together.

At first Sasuke would only give her the same one word answers that she was just about to stop her meddling until he invited her to sit next to him as he worked. After that moment they fell into the comfortable routine of Hinata finding Sasuke at the same time and table concentrating on whatever he was scribbling from his lectures that day.

She'd greet him and he would grunt in response and work for about four hours together til closing. Hinata fondly remembers those times. Occasionally she'd be brave and bring a snack for them to share or sometimes during final exams they'd set up sessions in a public coffee shop or study room.

But after undergrad Sasuke had… left.

She really didn't know the full story after his absence but figured he just graduated and left. She thought this was weird initially, someone as studious and hardworking as himself she would be willing to bet money he would have worked towards his PHD or something. She eventually had let it go and assumed he got accepted elsewhere most likely and packed up immediately after his acceptance and started studying at home with Ino.

Hinata was truly glad she was reunited with her long last study buddy and let out a sigh of relief.

"Haha… funny way of reuniting huh?" Hinata said with a smile, trying to break the long silence.

Sasuke peered up at her, his face didn't change from his neutral frown but now standing closer, Hinata was positive, his eyes upturned as if he was smiling.

"Me taking you to my home shitfaced isn't really what I would call a fun little reunion would I?"

She felt her cheeks heat up in embarrassment and lowered her head to try and hide it. "Ahhh y-yes… I'm-m really so-sorry pl-please let-t-t me-" she stammered

The Uchiha rolled his eyes and interrupted her. "Oh please Hyuga you know I'm messing."

She looked up at him, his smirk planted on his face which caused her to smile in return.

"… it is good to see you though." He mumbled quietly.

Ah…she felt her cheeks get warmer and warmer with that statement. He was always like this when giving her compliments. Quietly muttering to himself how he enjoyed her company as if his illusion of being stone cold would shatter at these small confessions.

"A-Agreed why don't I get ready and we can go get breakfast and catch up, yes?" Despite her not remembering anything of last night, she knew it was Sunday, her day off. The day she and Ino would spend studying on the couch followed up by doing nothing for tje rest of the evening.

"…Why don't stay here unless you feel like getting brunch with that outfit." he tilted his head to the side, looking her up and down at her sparkly black dress and disarrayed hair.

Normally Hinata would be mortified for most people to see her in this state but it was Sasuke…. He's seen her in the worst states of not sleeping and cramming for exams, looking like she had been dragged behind a truck and eye bags almost fully enclosing her lid.

"Hehe you're r-right, but the least you can do is let me c-cook us something ok as a thank you yes?"

"If you'd like, fine with me let me know if you need anything from me."

"…. I-if you don't m-m-mind, may I have aspirin please and-d a pair of sweatpants if you don't mind..?"

He gave her an amused grin. While she felt embarrassment seep into her once more at his odd smile. He finally got up from his seat and walked towards her placing an ice cold arm on her shoulder and a rough calloused hand gently placed on her other shoulder. Despite him having the temperature of a corpse she felt like parts of her body were on fire from his weird half hug. She attempted to mutter an apology to her requests but she continued to short wire at this intimacy they shared and nothing came out as her mouth gaped.

Almost as soon as he hugged her, he was now pulling away from her making her look up at him to see that same amused grin on his normally stoic face.

"Of course make yourself at home Hina." His tone sang out her name, specifically drawing out the last vowel of her nickname.

Without letting her say anything in response, he then made his way out of the kitchen to fetch her requests. She stood there a few more seconds before puffing in annoyance.

How could she forget? If there was one thing that put a smile on the Uchiha's face it was definitely teasing her. Pinching her cheeks, flicking her forehead were a few things he'd do to her while at random points in heir study sessions or breaks. It always ends with her huffing at the light touches looking annoyed and embarrassed while Sasuke giving her half hearted apology while he tries to stifle his laughter.

She didn't necessarily like it when he pulled at her but seeing him be happy every once in a while felt that it was a necessary evil so she wouldn't ask him to stop.

Hinata again looked at her surroundings in the kitchen. Nothing really stands out except the interior of the fridge except the all black and gray matching interior and the large ornate espresso machine next to his sink. She then decided to open his fridge, seeing what he had on hand for her to make them.

When she opened the fridge she shouldn't have been surprised but was to see how innately organized his fridge was. Teas and juice neatly stacked in the front row. Condiments stacked like marching men on the side and clearly labeled and wrapped leftovers on the last two shelves. It's not surprising sasuke's fridge looked like an OCDs dream but still…just a tad creepy at this precision.

'Maybe me and Ino are just messy..' she mused.

After scrounging around she found eggs, leftover rice and raw sausage. Perfect, she could definitely make something quick with this. She soon found his equally organized pans and pots. She soon started cooking and seasoning the sausage. Finding herself feeling better in her comfort zone.

Soon after she felt a small tap on her shoulder. She turned to see sasuke right behind her with a bottle of aspirin, glass of water, and a pair of sweats for her.

She gave him a grateful bow and smiled "Th-ank y-you…"

He hummed in response and sat back down in his chair, assuming the same position he was in before.

The sausage is nearly done cooking and smelling good. She turned around to Sasuke, he was once again engrossed in the paper. "How do you like your eggs sasuke?"

He stood a sip from his mug not looking up at her. "Don't care, however you like 'em."

She hummed in response, sunny side up then. Everything was almost cooked so she took the moment to turn down the heat to take her meds and pants. She asked her where his bathroom was and pointed down the hall.

She squeaked out a thank you as she lightly jogged out the kitchen to the bathroom.

Black interior and all kept pristine, she shouldn't even be surprised but still, she now wanted to find SOMETHING out of place in his perfect little apartment…

She took two small asprisins out of the container and gulped them down with water. After swallowing she let out a bleh. She hated taking any type of pills because of that chalky taste of them always made her gag. Her eyes scanned all over the bathroom while she tried to keep the pills down. That's when she saw his facial cleanser and soap. Not only was it the only bit of color in his bathroom but there was also looked...familiar.

In fact picking it to get a closer look, it's exact same one in her home.

Weird right… she didn't really think Sauke would want to smell like fresh jasmine and daisies and use gentle makeup removing face cleanser right. She started to feel a bit creeped as she slid the sweats over her waists.

Also… fitting her perfectly…

Okay this was now too much and she's starting to get creeped out until it hits her.

These were probably for his… many girlfriends when they spent the night.

Hinata wasn't completely innocent, she knew Sasuke was hot and the many girls that threw themselves at him during college. Giving him gifts, stalking him and crying for him to date them was just a small number of the actions he'd go through all day.

Of course it was a strange coincidence that he used the exact same body wash and cleanser for these girls but it wasn't like her soaps couldn't be found in a department store easily.

Just a coincidence, that's all.

She turned to the bathroom and back to the kitchen, the rice and sausage were fully cooked and cracked eggs into the pan for them. Sasuke got from his seat grabbing plates and silverware for them. She divided the portions for them where they ate in silence.

To Hinata, the breakfast was pretty good. She could tell whatever grocery store Sasuke shopped at was definitely in a higher tax bracket form hers and elevated the food. "W-Well how are they?"

"…Fine…"

She smiled, she knew even from him that she found her cooking delicious but didn't feel admitting that.

She broke the silence again. "So… what have you been up to since undergrad Sasuke? You just kinda left after our fourth year and disappeared without saying anything."

He looked up from his food to stare at her once more. "I had personal business overseas in Suna and decided to finish my masters and phd there"

Her eyes widened along with her smile. "Oh w-wow! Well congratulations we'll have a proper celebration o-ok?"

"That would be…. nice." She beamed, she'd have to make him a cake and gather Ino to help prepare it.

"How have you been Hyuga?"

She stopped eating and cleared her throat. "I'm well thank you Ino and I went out to celebrate here and Shinos grant approval for their bio environment thesis paper… ah and Kiba is now in veterinary school. Oh and my sister started her first year in her program this fall as well. And well I'm sure you're aware of how Sakura and Naruto are doing…"

She continued to ramble about their fellow classmates and their achievements without stuttering at all. All of Hinata's friends at the age of 26 were all doing well. Long past the days of goofing off all together in large groups are gone but Hinata still found time to keep in touch with her dear friends. She was happy and proud of all of them proclaiming to Sasuke all their achievements like a proud mother. Everyone's achievements except for….

"-But what about YOU Hinata, what have you been doing these past years?"

Ah, of course she felt a little silly with her rambling. "W-Well I graduated with my masters in psychology and criminology and I've been working towards working in a clinic soon actually, Sakura is helping me work towards having my application in her hospital."

"So you stood up to your father then, good for you."

Hinata gave a small smile at his statement. Hinata came from a long line of police workers and detectives. Best in all of Konoha actually and Hinata was their next in line to take that role of the best. Hinata was very much capable of doing her role as the heir to their clan. Everyone knew there wasn't anything that could get past her easily. She knew when people lied she knew to look for evidence and clues. Nothing really got past her which made her a perfect candidate.

Except she hated this about her. She hated that she could easily sniff out people's true intentions and press them. It made her miserable and hated the fact this is what her life was. Sasuke was her biggest avicator for her to stand up to her father and do what she wanted to do. Be a therapist and use her gifts to help people rather than incrasorate them. While her father refused to help pay for her studying he did let her step down as her title with no legal messes and still kept in touch with her and she was satisfied with this relationship.

"Ah thank you…Sasuke, I never really got the time to thank you…" once again her face felt hot. She scanned the room mindlessly to calm down to notice the fluorescent clock on the microwave.

2:26 pm. Damn as much as she liked to continue their chat she was sure Ino was worried sick about her by now.

"O-oh my I'm just hogging up all your time aren't I ? W-why don't we meet with the others and we can talk more over a proper meal tomorrow okay?"

"No."

"..."

No? Did he miss her that much? She's sure he's just teasing her now but still she wanted to shower in her own bathroom now. She almost wanted to give him a pity laugh at his lame joke.

He continued to speak before she could say anything. "We're staying here Hinata." He states with a grin.

Not just any grin, not a teasing or playful one but a matter-of-fact grin. It made Hianta reach a cold sweat at why he was so confident he was.

"…Ahh-oh…uhhhm.." She didn't know how to respond. It took her moment to recollect her thoughts.

"U-Umm s-s-sasuke you're more than welcome to come to my apartment this evening but I-I really n-need to-o get going noo-ow…" she stuttered out proud she at least got her point across.

"Hina. We are not leaving."

His voice and point weren't budging. She started to get annoyed, she could handle the teasing but this was getting a little annoying. "W-What-t do you mean 'we' aren't leaving….?" She stated while glaring at him to the best of her ability.

His grin didn't falter, in fact he only grinned deeper as he moved closer to her resting andvsqueezing his handon hers, seemingly enjoying this as she looked more uncomfortable due to their proximity. "What I mean is: We. Are. Not. Leaving. This. Apartment". He slurred out each syllable with a large grin. Taunting her more with each word as he saw her face contorted in fear and panic.

After a brief moment of chilling silence fell into them. Neither of them breaking eye contact or saying anything else now they were both aware of this situation.

Hinata jumped out of her seat, knocking it over. She squealed in fear and panted as she raced out the kitchen and into the small foyer to the front door. She crashed into the knob and shook the knob with all her might, locked.

Fuck fuck fuck of course it's Locke-

Her internal cursing and door jingling was stopped as she heard a chair scoot from its original position only to hear deafening loud footsteps coming towards her.

Tears welling in her eyes as she scanned the door aimlessly. Pulling on the large ornate pieces on the door to then full on slamming in the door in a short amount of time due to those footsteps. In such a hysterical state she didn't notice Sasuke right behind her watching her slam and scratch his very expensive door.

In one fellow swoop he had turned her around pinning arms to the door all she all but forced to look into his dead blue eyes.

Wait, this is the Sasuke she knew right? This was all just a sick joke right surely how would open the door and-

"…don't fucking break my door Hinata, it'll just make this much more difficult." he hissed at while ge glared at her in annoyance. Even in her hysterica she knew this now wasn't a stupid prank on her.

She just whimpered in response she could barely breathe right now let alone speak to her captor. The fear of being in the cold blank room revisited her at great speed. Her mind was splitting in pressure and she felt her breakfast flip inside of her trying to regurgitate. While focusing on not vomiting or peeing herself, she forgot to breathe.

Sasuke at first finding it a bit amusing watching her panic soon realized the girl wasn't breathing properly. Only sputtering out a cough every few second or so for air.

"Breathe Hinata." he commanded

It was too late now the ringing panic made it impossible to hear the outside world except the deafening dinging. She soon fluttered her eyes close and the once ringing siren in her ears slowly faded, slumped into the Uchiha's grasp and began breathing normally.

The last thing she heard before slipping out of consciousness was:

"Tch.. annoying."

Thank you for reading my silly little story.

I hope this story shows that my love for fanfiction is great and that I've been reading Fandom works for probably 10 years now haha….

I hope you like my interpretation of hinata. I have read more than enough uuuguu cutesy shy hinata then I care to admit and I wanted to at least translate what her nervousness and shyness would be in a more "practical" setting. I don't know if it sucks please feel free to tell me to die in the comment3.

Thank you for reading, until next the chapter :-).
