During the final days of the spring season in Springfield, with the lockdown still in place, every Simpson family member has at least something to do keep them entertained, but the kids were now feeling bored from not going outside too much because of the virus spreading lightning quick.
"Man, I'm so bored to pieces." Bart said. "I'm feeling the same here, big brother. I mean, the school year has just ended, but this lockdown is still happening across not only Springfield, but the United States as well. But as long as we have each other, nothing bad will happen to us. We will make it through this tragic event. And online learning wasn't bad, but the downgrade about online learning from in-person learning is that we don't get as much lecturing as we do in the actual classroom. Correct, and because of this, right now we don't necessarily catch up quite enough. (suck!) What's that, Maggie? (suck! 2x) Bart, she's saying that this virus is causing a lot of hardships across the globe and not Springfield alone. That's true, because it all started in China and then it started spreading lightning quick across the globe, mostly because of those in China refusing to obey travel restriction orders." Bart said. "Yep. (sighs) Thanks a lot, China." Lisa said annoyingly.
Later that day, both Bart and Lisa were in their rooms still feeling bored despite reading a book. That's when Lisa decided to go over to Bart's room to spend quality sibling time with him. First, she would slowly rub her brother's tummy to take the boredom away from the two. "Oh, yes. Oh, this feels so relaxing, Lis'. I know, right? I mean, all of us do have to practice social distancing because of this challenging time for our own safety, but we do have our face masks on, so all of us can still be closer and together, including the two of us siblings. You got it, little sister. Hey, what about our friends? We haven't seen them since the lockdown came into effect and the school year finished. That's right."
So, the two siblings would take turns calling each other's friends to check on them. Bart would talk with his male friends, including Milhouse van Houten and Martin Prince, and, of course, one of his girlfriends like Nikki McKenna, while Lisa would talk with her friends including Juliet Hobbes, Allison Taylor, and Janey Powell.
After another long day, the three siblings were fast asleep when Lisa and Maggie had a nightmare about the pandemic. Because of this, the two sisters would go to Bart's room for support. "Bart, are you awake? (yawns) I am now. Can me and Maggie sleep with you please? Because we had a nightmare about this virus. Same here. This side of the bed to my right is for you two sweet little sisters. Thanks. Yeah, rub my tummy like I did for you earlier."
