It was the night of the hospital's yearly holiday party. Almost every doctor and nurse were in the room. A couple of doctors were dressed up as Santa to give gifts to the gifts that attended the party and also the hospital. At a table was Dere, Arizona, Mark, Addison, Bailey, Callie, Richard, Adele and Alex. At another table next to them was Cristina, Owen, Lexie, April, Jackson, and Meredith. Sofia and Zola were getting passed around as the adults were playing with their new toys. Alex, Zola, Sofia and Richard were playing dollies, well more like Alex and Richard were being told how to play by Zola but the two guys were having fun. Derek and Mark were talking about their daughters to Adele showing her the cute pictures and moments which she adored. Owen was showing Tuck pictures of the planes and Army trucks from the Army which interested Tuck only slightly, he was showing Jackson his toy car as April tried to put stickers on it as the decorations. Lexie was in a deep conversation with Meredith, Cristina, Addison, Bailey and Arizona when Callie came and tapped Addison on shoulder. Addison looked at her best friend and smiled.
"Hey Cal, what's up?" Addison asked as the Latina woman jitterbug with excitement.
"Guess what they're about to play?" Callie said as she clasped her hands together.
Addison heard the rhythm, kicked off her heels, Callie smiled back,nodded her head and stomped her feets in happiness as her heels were already off.
"Are you fools okay?" Bailey asked Addison as Calle grabbed her hand and dragged her on to the dance.
The merengue rhythm overtook their bodies as the two women started to dance. The two tables were used to this sight. Every time they got together and there was a party these two were the dancers. They would sometimes include Sofia who fell asleep in one of their arms by the end of the night. Or even drunk they somehow managed to take care of Sofia. They were a good duo, they didn't need to explain to each other. A few words or glance at each other and they knew how to scoop out the situation. Even when Callie met Archer they had a contest on who could pick up the most women. Of course, it ended in a tie, Archer developed a new wing-woman and They understood each other that caused Addison to shake her head.
Mark looked at the two ladies dancing on the dance floor. If you would've told Mark that both of the women he slept with would be in his life in a weird way. He wouldn't believe you, one as the mother of his child and the other one as his ex lover who is the godmom to said child. Their bond was a sight to see and he loved watching these two women with his child. His best friends enjoying themselves as the world watched.
The two friends were I'm their own world when suddenly Callie heard her name coming from Mark. He was pointing to Sofia who was shakingly walking towards her mom and godmom. Both ladies looked at her in shock because she's been practicing but still holding onto things. Addison clapped to the beat of the song to encourage the young girl who was giggling as she walked towards them. Callie was crotched down to catch her baby if she was to fall. Sofia stepped closer until she reached Callie. Callie caught her and she got a cheer from both ladies. Another song came on and the two ladies danced with Sofia now standing on the floor stomping and dancing to the beat. Addison picked up the young girl and spun her around. The little girl laughed which caused her aunt to laugh as well.
The song ends the two women and baby go back to the two tables where their friends are. They're were sudden cheers coming from the table as they got closer.
"Addison, I didn't know you could move like that. Where did you learn?" Derek asked as he saw the woman was out of breath.
"My dear friend Callie here taught me how to dance merengue, salsa, and bachata." Addison responds to Derek as Mark hands her and Callie bottles of waters. He's there to take a sleeping Sofia from Addison's arms and she moves away. He took that as a no.
"Addison is my dance partner, it works out" Callie says after chugging a bottle of water causing Addison to laugh.
Addison puts her head on Callie's shoulder and says "we're a good duo" Callie puts her head on top of Addison's.
"No no amiga, we're a wonderful duo" Which causes both ladies to laugh out loud. Which causes the group before them to shake their head.
"Plus, Sofia took her first steps today" Callie says "Oh man that means she's going to be more trouble"
"Yeah and that's when I take her away because she's one more step of acting like you or Addison" Mark says as he takes Sofia out of Addison's arms which caused both women to look at him in confusion. "Don't look at me like that women. Addison is going to let her walk around in play heels and give her a Gucci purse and you're already teaching her spanish. "
"I would wait til she's 4, it's not Gucci. It's Chanel and Louis Vuitton, we're classy with designer" Addison agreed to Mark who had a smirk on his face.
"Exactly one step closer Addi"
"Then for you Callie, Sofia is going yell at me in spanish."
"Well at least she'll know her mothers language and can use it against you" Callie says with a copying smirk on her face.
"Both of you sit down." Mark says as Callie and Addison laughed to their seats.
Arizona stood to Mark and said "They're were basically telling you to suck it up buttercup because Sofia is going to be a fun kid"
