Lucy woke up the next morning and headed to the bathroom. She began to brush her teeth. She had a meeting after school.

Brandy was nervous about school.

Luke was very nervous. Garrett got ready and could see Luke shaking.

"Luke, we'll be with you." Garrett says. "We're in the same class this year and everything!"

Luke felt a bit better as Forest made breakfast.

It was pancakes. Luke managed two stacks of pancakes and a side of bacon. He then drank his orange juice.

After breakfast, he puts on his letter jacket that Luna had made for him and his shoes, grabs his Ace Savvy backpack, and goes with Garrett out the door.

"Have a good day, boys!" Forest says as they leave. He would pick the boys up after school.

"Thank you!" Luke says.

They arrive as some bullies hang Brandy on a tree. Luke looks at them.

"Are we going to have a problem here?" Luke asked the bullies.

"Nope." they say and run off. Luke helps Brandy out of the tree and allows him to walk to class with him and Garrett.

They entered their classes. Sadly, Brandy wasn't with Luke and Garrett. He was in a different class.

The students in the class were excited to see Luke. Luke stepped in, smiling. They clapped, seeing him.

"Luke! Luke! Sit with us!" Some of them say.

Luke sat with Garrett, smiling at his classmates.

At the high school, Luna heads to class.

Luna's P.O.V.

At school, I noticed Luan and gave her a slight glare. I was still upset with her and the siblings for hurting Luke and making him unhappy.

This is also my senior year of high school. So on top of dealing with these sinister siblings, I'm dealing with being Luke's caretaker and doing more schoolwork.

I swear, one day, I will get those siblings back for the things they put Luke through. They won't see it coming.

Luna came and saw Sam.

"Hey, Lunes. How are things going in your new place?" Sam asked.

"Great! Luke's happier and is closer to Garrett now, so he isn't complaining too much." Luna says. "He just wishes the others would leave him alone."

"Poor Luke…I still remember his last birthday." Sam says. "That really made him upset. I couldn't blame him for wanting to run and hide."

"At least the party was fun for him. Oh, and after that I took him somewhere special." Luna says.

"Where did you take him?" Sam asked, sipping her kale juice.

"A carnival. I got him a second cake and pinata. And we saw fireworks. He was really surprised and happy. This was one of the many times where I saw a genuine smile from him." Luna says, eating her breakfast sandwich.

At the middle school, Lucy was walking to class.

Lucy's P.O.V.

As I walked to class, I could hear some kids laughing. Sigh, they always treat goths with disrespect, but it got worse when I mind-controlled the town. People say it's my fault when the only reason I did it was for my siblings to celebrate Luke.

I nearly committed suicide last night, but Lana just had to stop me. After school I'm planning Luke's birthday and after his birthday, I'll write my goodbyes to everyone. After all, I don't think Luke wants me around. Without him, I see no point. Just darkness.

Lucy entered the class and noticed gum on her seat.

"Sigh." Lucy sighed.

At lunch, multiple kids wanted to sit with Luke. Lucy noticed this and secretly used magic, sending the kids away from Luke. This confused him and made him feel unpopular.

"At least we can have lunch in peace." Garrett says. How wrong he was

Luke sighs and goes to get in the lunch line. When he emerged with his tray, he saw Lucy using magic to lift Garrett straight from his wheelchair. He gasped in shock.

"Maybe I can help him walk." Lucy says. Garrett screamed for help.

Lucy used magic to put him down. "I'm sorry, I just wanted to use a spell for you to walk." she says

"You just, like, caught me by surprise…" Garrett says.

"I...should go" Lucy says as some kids tossed their food at Lucy. But Luke steps in.

"If you try to hurt my sister, you will not like the next thing that's going to happen to you." Luke says. "Go. Before I bring Principal Ramirez in myself." They leave.

As Luke eats, he sees kids taking pictures of him. Luke looks up at them.

"Leave Luke alone." Lucy says. But Luke didn't mind the photos as long as they weren't super embarrassing.

After school, the twins walked off.

"Lola! Lana!" Lucy says, looking for them and growing frustrated.

Luke was waiting on Forest with Garrett. Garrett was visibly shaken by what happened at lunch. Luke sat next to him, offering comfort.

"So, you almost had a chance at walking again?" Stephen asked.

"I was born a paraplegic, Stephen." Garrett says. "I haven't walked since I was two!"

"That's even sadder." Colleen says.

Police cars drove by quickly.

"Speeding police cars can only mean one thing." Alem tuber says.

"Time to kick some butt!" Jack says pressing some buttons as his party truck came up

The 4 kids leap in as Angry Luigi jumped on top, but Jack drove off.

Angry Luigi was trying to hold on as some robbers tossed some bombs, blowing up the police cars as Tristan fell out, badly hurt.

"Don't worry, Sergeant Pingrey, we'll handle your job again." Jack says. He pressed a button as a massive pie was launched to the robbers' car. They had to run on foot as Jack stopped the car. This launched Angry Luigi into the robbers.

"Ow…" Angry Luigi says as one tries shooting Angry Luigi, who leaped and landed on his head. Another robber grabbed him as Alem tuber kicked him and punched another one. Reilly attacked one as people record this.

Angry Luigi looked shaken by this a bit as after the battle Alem tuber punched him "What did I say about you butting in?" Alem tuber asked before flying off.

Angry Luigi walks over and sees Tristan. He tried picking him up, but he failed. Carol and Connor come and give him a ride home.

Meanwhile, Forest drove them to the high school as Leni came out with Luna. Leni came to the car with bags of goodies.

"Here, Luke, all my classmates got you goodies!" Leni says.

Luke smiled and accepted them. He then offered some to Garrett, who took a few.

Luna could see Garrett's face was pale and fear-stricken.

"What happened?" Luna asked.

Garrett was shaking as Luke told Luna what had happened.

Lucy went to Tabby's house. She didn't want to face her family. Especially not Charity. She knew Charity was fuming inside and out.

Tabby saw what happened at school.

"Why did you do it to begin with?" Tabby asked.

Lucy explained.

"You just wanted to be closer to Luke. I get it." Tabby says.

"I wanted to use magic to make him walk. I thought it would make Luke happy." Lucy says.

At Garrett's house, Forest got Garrett some apple cinnamon tea to drink. Luke and Luna sat with him in the kitchen.

"That's horrible!" Leni says.

"All because Lucy was trying to interfere again?" Luna asked Garrett.

He nods, shaking. Forest was mad about this.

"Garrett, son, what exactly did she do to you?" Forest asked.

"She just lifted me up and wanted to fix my legs, but she stopped. And it was the scariest moment of my life…" Garrett says.

"Oh, my God!" Luna says.

"You poor thing!" Leni says.

The twins arrived at home.

"Lucy was supposed to be with you." Lynn says.

"Lucy is in enough trouble, Lynn." Charity says. "Forest Miller just called me."

"Oh, yeah, Lucy nearly killed Garrett." Lola says as Lincoln, Lynn, and Luan gasped in horror.

"I can make Garrett walk again. It's easy." Lisa says, going to work on it.

With Lucy, she was shaking, afraid of her family

"Lucy, you can't run away from your problems." Tabby says.

Lucy sighed and decided to go home to face her family.

She opens the door and sees them glaring. Her heart pounded hard.

"You better start explaining…" Charity says. "Why did you almost kill Garrett Miller?"

Lucy explains she just wanted to help Garrett. She felt horrible.

"I'm sorry." Lucy sniffed.

"Sweetie, he has a terrible fear of heights. And tight spaces, too. But, of course, you know he was born with spina bifida. He hasn't been able to use his legs for a long time." Charity says.

"Yeah, you nearly killed him. At this rate, Luke may just hate you." Lola says as Lucy sniffed and ran out of the house feeling guilty.

With Luke, he was sitting with his best friend. Garrett was sobbing uncontrollably.

"I don't wanna die…I don't wanna die…" Garrett sobbed.

There was a knock on the door. It was Lisa.

Garrett shook when he saw her.

"Hello, Garrett, I'm here to make you walk again." Lisa says with tools in hand.

Garrett stared at her for a long time.

A few hours later, Lisa was walking out looking frustrated. "Unless he's at a hospital, I can't fix him." Lisa says.

"He hasn't been able to walk for a long time, young lady." Forest says.

Lisa heads home.

Later, Forest made dinner, which was cheeseburger macaroni and green beans. There were also dinner rolls and iced sweet tea that Forest made.

"So…what do you want for your birthday, son?" Forest asked. He knew Colleen and Garrett shared a birthday.

He thinks.

"What kind of gift would you like?" Forest asked.

"Tickets to Hawaii." Garrett says.

"Why would you like that, son?" Forest asked.

"Never been there." he says.

"Do you have other gifts you want?" Forest asked. He explained.

"You'll sure get a lot for your birthday, son. After what you've been through, you deserve the best." Forest says.
