(31st July, 2005)

Far away from Forks, in the east, someone was in deep thought. It was a 6'3" tall young man who looked to be in his eighteen years with auburn hair and shining emerald green eyes. His body was well defined but not enough to be compared to an athlete. His face, which was aristocratic-like harbored a small mustache.

Who was this man ?

It was none other than William Edouard Potter, the current Lord Potter and 'Boy-Who-Lived'.

Today was his eighteen birthday… Not that he cared anyway.

Life hadn't been kind to him after his brother's disappearance. William had become colder to everyone except his loyal friends who managed to knock some senses into him not long before he became a student at Hogwarts.

To everyone's shock, he became a Slytherin !

He had internally laughed at the incredulous looks he received from everyone at the Great Hall that day. Heck even his friends had been pretty much surprised by his sorting.

The teachers had been no better… especially Albus Dumbledore, the Headmaster who had been horrified to see the Potter Heir in the House of Snakes !

Severus Snape had looked like he swallowed a lemon ! Again that was a sight to see !

His parents had been outraged by this and ordered a resorting as they couldn't accept having their son in such a House. William had snarled at them to piss off and that he will stay in Slytherin either they liked it or not.

The tension between the three Potters grew even more afterwards.

All around the Wizarding World, many started to see William as the next Dark Lord and no longer as their Savior the Boy-Who-Lived…

And not once did he tried to refute the accusations as instead, his behavior alone seemed to answer. William's coldness had scared many students and after putting some seven years people in the infirmary…

No one dared to oppose him.

His friends (Neville, Blaise, Daphne and Tracey) were the only ones who stood by his side.

In classes, William did everything almost perfectly… He was in short a prodigy in the eyes of many teachers…

Except one…

Severus Snape accused him many times of cheating but after a few days, he had been arrested when he tried Legilimens on William. Dumbledore had, of course, tried to prevent Severus from ending in Azkaban but it was futile.

The old man had tried to explain to the Potter Heir that he needed Severus at Hogwarts but the auburn boy harshly told him to and I quote 'FUCK OFF'. He had been given detentions of course, but not ONCE did he went to one.

Which frustrated Dumbledore to no end… not that he cared.

Otherwise his years at Hogwarts were pretty much eventful.

Why ? Here the list of all the incredible things that happened :

-First years, a fellow student, a Muggle-Born named Hermione Granger almost got killed by a Troll but was saved by Neville and another Gryffindor whose name was insignificant.

Then, during a match of Quidditch, a bludger almost killed him but thanks to Professor Flitwick, he lived.

Later, Quirrel (the DADA Teacher after Remus had to leave for the year) had apparently died after trying to find something at Hogwarts and William had been pretty annoyed at the look of disappointment Dumbledore at sent his way during the announcement.

However, Slytherin won the House Cup so it wasn't a total bad year.

-Second year, a fraud by the name of Gilderoy Lockart became the new DADA teacher ! Why ? Because Remus' mission (he didn't know what it was but it was important for Dumbledore) was longer than expected…

Thankfully, things became even more interesting when people (all Muggle-borns) started to be fond paralyzed all around the castle and that the famous Chamber of Secrets had been opened once again.

Something only the Heir of Slytherin could do !

During a duel with Draco Malfoy (who had been a pain in the ass since day one), he discovered that he could understand snakes but thankfully hadn't tried to TALK with the one the brat summoned…

Why ? Because he didn't want to be accused of being the actual Heir of Slytherin.

It was bad enough to be seen as the "Boy-Who-Betrayed' or as the 'Dark-Lord-in-Training' so he didn't need another title thank you very much !

After a few months, the attacks stopped and Ginny Weasley, a Gryffindor First year, had been found dead in the Chamber. Apparently, she had been the one responsible for those attacks but was possessed by a diary of all things.

While not being friends with Ron Weasley (or any other Weasley in that matters), William had sympathized with them as he knew how it felt of losing a sibling.

Lockart had been discovered to be a fraud and was arrested, much to William's joy as he hated the guy.

-Third year had also been pretty eventful after the traitor Peter Pettigrew had been seen not far from Hogsmeade. Dementors had been placed around Hogwarts despite Dumbledore's objections ! One of those damn Creatures had tried to suck out his soul damn it !

It was thanks to Remus Lupin, a friend of his father, that it didn't happened. The Werewolf returned from his mission and reclaim his place as DADA teacher, much to his annoyance. Remus was one of the people who agreed to sent his brother away and he never forgave the man for that… nor he did to the other people involved in that matter.

Peter had been captured at the end of his third year and had been sent to Azkaban for his crimes. Who captured him ? A cat… belonging to Hermione Granger… Crookshanks was the cat's name.

Wanting to get rid of him, William spread rumors that the Werewolf had tried to kill him ! Backed up by some of his friends, Remus had no choice but to resign from teaching and left Hogwarts at the end of the year. William had been overjoyed by this… an expression Remus saw when he left.

Dumbledore and the boy's parents, however, knew the truth and were deeply saddened by his behavior.

-Fourth year had been… even more intense… mainly because the Tri-Wizard Tournament took place. Everything had been good… until his name came out of the Goblet of Fire, an old artifact used to chose the champions.

Cedric for Hogwarts, Fleur Delacour (who was a Veela) for Beauxbatons and Victor Krum for Durmstrang. But then there had been FOUR Champions ! Thankfully, just a few seconds after his name came out, William made a magical vow stating that he didn't put his name NOR had someone do it for him.

Many knew how such vows worked : if someone lied, he or she would loose not only his magic but also his life. Or even if a Wizard (or Witch) lived, they would kill themselves because they cannot live without magic.

Thanks to his vow, students and teachers believed him but there was a few who still didn't. Their reasons ? Because a Dark Wizard could easily fake a vow ! Among those stupid people was none other than Ron Weasley who had become even bitter after the death of his younger sister.

However, despite his vow, he had to participate… either he liked it or not. His parents had tried to pull him out but then, much to his anger and shock, they stopped… as if someone told them to.

Lily and James didn't listened to everyone like this…except one.

An old man William grew to hate with passion because of the large part he played in Harry's abandon : Albus Dumbledore.

The old man had shot him look of compassion but he knew better.

William had been summoned to the Headmaster's office many times since his first year and the questions were pretty much the same : How is your year ? Did you make new friends ? What subject is your favorite ?

Of course, he never answered any of them… much to Albus's sadness. William never planned to befriend the man and he won't do it anytime soon.

Fawkes, Dumbledore's familiar, had been acting strange toward him ever since their first meeting in his first year. The Phoenix seemed to be wary of him and not one did he let him pet his feathers.

Not that he wanted to anyway.

Even stranger, each time Fawkes tried to sing, it would annoy William to no end… which worried Dumbledore.

Anyway, back to our story, the First Task of the Tournament was to retrieve a golden egg from a nest. The problem ? It was guarded by a nestling Dragon ! Well, it hadn't been difficult… for him.

A simple summoning charm and the egg was his… much to the embarrassment of the judges who had forgotten about such a simple spell.

Later, during the Yule Bale, he danced with Daphne Greengrass no less and he had enjoyed every second of that night because the two of them revealed their feelings to one another.

However, what had annoyed him was the fact his own friends bet on how long it would take before it would happen. It was a smug looking Tracey Davis who HAPPILY accepted the money Neville and Blaise handed to her.

William had laughed a lot at the sight of Daphne sending curses and jinxes to the trio while blushing madly in embarrassment and slight anger.

The Second Task, he had to retrieve someone from the bottom of the Black Lake… this someone had been, much to his shock, his mother Lily. William had assumed that the people he would miss would be Daphne but when he saw his mother… he turned tail and swam back to the surface.

Dumbledore tried to tell him he had to retrieve his hostage but William snarled at him those words that everyone heard

"She can drown in there for all I care !"

This sentence had caused many people to gasp in shock at the hateful tone William used. However, the Boy-Who-Lived didn't cared about what everyone thought as he made his way elsewhere , leaving behind a stunned audience.

Needless to say that he received no points for his performances…

James Potter, his father, had tried to sermon him for his inactions but, like always, William ignored it completely. Lily had been pretty distraught once she was retrieved from the Black Lake after 2 hours of negotiations with the Mer-people.

She hadn't try to talk to her son after Dumbledore explained to her what had happened. Lily had been shocked and horrified by William's words and it was because of this, she didn't went to confront him.

In both James and Lily's mind, Harry the Squib was the cause of all this. They had tried to go to the Dursleys but it was futile as apparently they left to the States. They decided to hide it from William knowing that their son would head straight there to find Harry.

That and the fact his name was no longer on the Potter's Family Tapestry (an artifact where they could see the names of their ancestors and close family members).

Something they couldn't afford.

The Third Task had been also pretty interesting. William and the other Champions had to pass through a maze to retrieve the Triwizard Cup… which was at the center of the maze. Strangely, William had been the one to arrive first but not once did he tried to take it, instead he decided to wait.

Now long after , Cedric arrived on the scene. When the Hufflepuff saw William standing near the Cup, he pulled out his wand for a fight but the Slytherin told him to take it as he didn't care about eternal fame.

It was a surprised but pleased Cedric who reached out to pick the cup… only to receive the Killing Curse ! William, who had pulled out his wand, found himself roughly grabbed by someone and before he could defend himself, he felt himself being transported away, leaving the dead body of Cedric Diggory behind.

He landed in a graveyard where stood Alastor Moody, the current DADA Teacher. Behind him, Apparently, the guy was a fake and had been the one to put his name in the Goblet. The guy's true name was Crouch Junior, someone who was supposed to be dead in Azkaban , but apparently wasn't.

The Death-Eater used his blood to perform a ritual to 'revive' his master : Lord Voldemort. William had been horrified when the Dark Lord came back from the dead but was also a bit pleased. Voldemort had explained to him that it had tried a lot of time to came back but they all failed.

Until now…

A few moments later, many Death-Eaters entered the scene, bowing to their master and re-pledge allegiances to him again. Voldemort turned his wand toward William to kill him but the auburn teen had another idea : he decided to make a pact with the Dark Lord.

A pact of no aggression…

Voldemort had been intrigued by this : William proposed to let the Dark Lord take over the Wizarding World (much to the Death-Eaters' shock) at the condition of letting him live along with his friends.

He did not care about the people of the Wizarding World… He only cares for his life and those of his friends…

After all, if he died, his search for his lost brother would stop ! Ever since he entered Hogwarts, William used the school Library to learn as many spells as he could… so he could use them to find Harry and bring him home.

Unknown to his parents, not long after his eleventh birthday, William had taken a look at his Family Tapestry and had been horrified to not see Harry's name on it.

This meant Harry had been either banned from the Potter Family or had been Blood Adopted by someone.

Despite this, William doubled his research, determined to find his missing brother.

Anyway, Voldemort had taken a moment to think about it… but in the end and much to William's joy, he accepted. Vows were exchanged and the Dark Lord allowed the auburn teen to depart… giving him a few days to leave Britain which William accepted wholeheartedly.

Thanks to Voldy, he returned to Hogwarts where he was questioned by concerned people : Dumbledore, his parents, the Aurors… He didn't tell them about Voldemort's return but did say that he managed to wound his attacker…

When he was alone with his friends, he told them the truth and needless to say that they had been shocked to no end at what happened… but also what he did !

Daphne and Tracey had gave him an earful for his recklessness but they were happy for him. Neville and Blaise had also been pretty frustrated with him but otherwise were happy that he was fine and all.

About his deal with Snake-Face… no one faulted him for that as they knew he wanted to live… even if it was to find Harry more than to enjoy life itself.

The following day, William went secretly to Gringotts to take all the money from his Trust Vault before leaving the country. However, something else happened. In fact, he had to meet with the Chief Goblin of the Bank !

Apparently, the latter had been wanting to meet him ever since his first year and had sent many letters to him. William had explained that he didn't received any (thanks to Dumbledore who apparently had a hand on this) and so was shocked by what he discovered afterwards.

Because he had been forced to participate in the Tournament, he was now legally an Adult ! Speaking of the Tournament, William had been furious to hear that his parents could have pulled him out because of his age but choose not to.

Second, because he was an adult, he could take the mantle of Lord Potter… even if his father James was still alive. Obviously, William took it and was now the new Lord Potter. After taking the mantle, the Goblin Chief had asked him if he wanted to get rid of his scar…

The answer was easy to guess

After an examination, the Goblin (Ragnok was the name) had been FURIOUS and explained to a stunned William that his scar had a parcel of the Dark Lord's soul in it. Needless to say, the auburn boy instantly wanted to get rid of it and so they did…

It was one painful ritual but the results were satisfying !

No more scar and no more connection with the Dark Wanker !

After thanking the Goblins again and again for their help, William took all his money before leaving England for another country.

Where ? As far away from Europe as possible.

Where precisely ? Answer : Russia.

Why ? Because it was a cold and ruthless environment… a world perfect for him.

Beside, the Russians had good magical schools there and unlike Hogwarts, they taught Muggle things and Combat !

William didn't came alone : Daphne Greengrass and her family came along with Tracey's family. There were Neutral and when they heard about Voldemort's resurrection, they didn't hesitate. Blaise, thanks to his mom, had to return to Italy but still kept contacts with his childhood friends.

What about Neville ? He staid a Hogwarts Student… but only for two more years before his grandmother fled the country to Spain.

Since his self exile, many people in the Wizarding World were looking out for him.

Why ?

Because, a year after the ritual, Voldemort (he was still surprised he waited THAT long before acting) sent his Death-Eaters to attack civilians. Of course, Snake-Face had revealed the deal he made with the Boy-Who-Lived and needless to say that it caused quite a ruckus.

Dumbledore reformed the Order of the Phoenix to not only fight Voldemort and his clowns but also find and bring back their Savior. However, there were a few who refused to fight and instead declared themselves Neutral : Sirius Black was one of them.

He had publicly declared that House Black was now Neutral as his main focus is to protect his family.

An opinion that was NOT shared by the member of the Light Side.

William didn't know where the man was now as he and his Family left England to who-know-where. Not that he felt anything for them as he hadn't been close to them… even Sirius's son, Perseus.

James and Lily wanted to find their son, not only to make him perform his duty but also to take back their title of Lord and Lady Potter. There was nothing left of the kind parents they once were… whats left are two greedy people who enjoyed fame and attention.

While England was having trouble with Voldemort and his clowns, William passed his new schools with flying colors along with Tracey and Daphne who he proposed at the graduation ceremony.

The answer had been a great 'YES' and a deep kiss on the lips as around them, many people clapped and whistled in congratulations at the couple.

It had been at the beginning of the mouth…

Now living near Saint Petersburg, in a large mansion he brought the day he arrived in the largest country of the world. Sitting on his desk, he was looking at a picture of himself in his youth… standing near the smiling face of his brother. A smile grew on his own face as he remembered (once again) the good moment he had with Harry before they abandoned him.

He still didn't know where to look as Lily and James NEVER told him where they left his brother.

"Love ?" a feminine voice called out softly to him and the auburn haired young man turned his head to see his lovely wife, Daphne Potter née Greengrass, approaching him.

She was still as gorgeous as ever and even now, he still thought how lucky he was to have her as his wife.

"What can I do for milady ?" William asked her with a tiny smile while putting down the picture he had been holding.

"You still think about him don't you ?" Daphne asked him with understanding before giving him a kiss on the lips.

"When did I didn't ?" The auburn haired young man retorted with a sad sigh.

Then he looked up at his wife, his emerald green eyes filled with sadness and determination

"I miss him… Because of them, I didn't have the chance to say goodbye…" he explained to his wife in a sorrowful tone that broke her heart.

Daphne, who was known at Hogwarts as the Ice Queen of Slytherin, gently pulled her husband into a tight hug, comforting him.

"We will find him… I promise..."

"But how ?" William asked her with a sigh.

He had tried everything but nothing worked : rituals, tracking spells… nothing.

"What about sending an Elf to spy on your parents ?" Daphne inquired him with a raise-brow.

William blinked at the suggestion before cursing softly to himself "Why didn't I thought of that ?"

"Well… I heard women were and still are smarter than men..." Daphne cooed to him teasingly and he sent her a small glare which caused the two of them to laugh with humor.

"But you will do that later ! I'm itching to have you inside me~" The blond woman whispered in William's ear, causing a shiver to pass through his body.

"What a woman wants..." the auburn haired young man cooed back before the two of them left to their bedroom to pass some 'alone time' together.

(To be continue…)
