This was not what was suppose to happen. But of course with his luck, it did.
It was suppose to be a simple outing with Eri. The plan was to get the young girls favorite sweet, candy apples.
And now here they were, caught up with the league of villains.
At first everything was going well, nothing went wrong all the way up to the shop or during the trip. The problem happened on the way back. A middle aged women had been walking towards them, coming right up next to them before swooping her arms at Eri. He yanked Eri back, letting out a shout at the crazy women. He looked around only to notice the place was completely deserted besides the three of the. Great... no one would be able to call the police except for him; he tried to ignore his worries, reminding himself that he could handle one crazy lady.
Well that's what he thought before he saw the women melt into a familiar face.
"Aw... Izuku. I want a turn with Eri! It's my turn, hand her over!"
He quickly reached into his back pocket grabbing the familiar rectangle shape and sending his location to all his contacts like he did in Hosu. Hopefully at least Todoroki would see it and realize it was a call for help just like the last time he did this.
"You can't have Eri!" He backed farther away and started his quirk up planning to make his way up to the roofs and hop across them. With a quick leap he managed to pull himself over the roofs ledge only to come face to face with Dabi and Compress.
"Well, looks like the little hero tried to escape with our prize." Dabi said while looking down at him.
He turned around planning to jump back down only to notice Toga was scaling the wall with her blades.
What do I do? I can't let them get Eri... Maybe if I use this wall as a boost I can at least get a head start and try to run all the way to UA.
He looked around the shops signs trying to remember which way was his school. After a second he found the poster they had passed earlier.
I'll jump over there then.
He waited till Toga was right up against him before grabbing her shoulders and launching himself against the was behind him. He could hear Toga shout in pain as she slammed face first into the wall. Without a second thought he took off running through the streets, not even bothering to see if there was anyone nearby who could call for backup.
20 minutes. 15 minutes. 10 minutes. Come on almost there. You can do it.
In a blink of an eye a small marble had soared through the air landing at his feet before a knife sprung out of it causing him to trip and fall onto the concrete. As much as he wanted to just lay there for a few seconds, he knew that there was no time and quickly sat up catching the sight of three members of the league of villains quickly catching up. He glanced ahead of him to where he had figured Eri would be only to notice her already on her feet. He started to try to copy her only to feel a sting to come from his legs. He looked down to notice a gash from the knife.
The cuts pretty big but it shouldn't hurt this much...
He looked down at the blade noticing a dark substance other then his blood on it.
Poison...
Eri can't wait for me... We won't make it like this...
"Eri listen I need you to trust me, 'kay?" He took the small nod of her head as a response to continue. "I need to distract the bad guys for a bit. You need to run all the way to UA and tell Mr. Eraserhead what happened okay?"
"But-"
"Please Eri! I need you to this for me 'kay?"
She glanced behind him before turning around and taking off shouting a small "'kay" back at him.
Midoriya turned around and faced the League, "You can't have her."
"Hm... that's too bad. She would have made a great asset." Shigaraki said.
"I bet I could find her!" Toga laughed out.
"No, no. I wouldn't be surprised if someone were to find her before us and we're trying to keep on the down low right now remember?" Shigiraki muttered out.
"Aww...I don't want to return back empty handed- oh I have a great idea! Let's take Izuku-chan instead!" Toga screamed while bouncing up and down.
"Yes, let's do that."
The last thing that Midoriya saw before he passed out was Toga bouncing towards him with a slickening grin.
