Here we are everyone. The TRUE final battle.
The evil Digimon cackled. "It has been a long time… my old comrade."
"This is the evil Digimon Mirei-I mean Crusadermon brought up?" Super Sonic asked.
"Is it really him?" Takumi asked. "The Sage of Death?"
Alphamon clenched her fists. "I will never forget that menacing face…!"
"For thousands of years I remained trapped in Cyber Space through the Royal Knights of old. Thanks to Leopardmon, I was reassembled, and through the power of The End, I have been reborn into something greater! I am DarknessBagramon!"
"DarknessBagramon?" Sage asked.
"So, like you did with King Drasil, you leached off the power of The End to mutate yourself even further." Alphamon glared.
"That's not all." DarknessBagramon grinned. "DarkKnightmon's data resides within me as well. Through his and The End's perspective I have been given a new sense of clarity. My original goal was to replace our Digital World with a much better one shaped in my image. But now I see that my vision can be expanded much, much further." He looked towards Earth and reached towards it. "This world, the human world… the parallel worlds… so many realities exist out there. All are different. All are flawed. I shall erase each world, gather a few of the inhabitants of each one and make one single world. And on its soil, we shall together create a shining future. A world without strife. A world without error."
Alphamon scoffed. "Being sealed in pieces all those years seems to have dulled your senses even further. How can you not see that makes you the very same as the one you hate so much?! That is exactly what King Drasil did to our old world!"
Craniamon looked at her. "Old world"?"
"Exactly." DarknessBagramon grinned. "By completing what he attempted… but proving I can do it better… THAT is my revenge!"
"Oh yeah "Sage of Death" seems appropriate for this lunatic." Super Sonic said.
"We're not going to let that happen!" Takumi said. "Bagramon… I saw your past while your data was in me… I know what it is King Drasil did… I'm sorry for your loss… But I can't let you take your suffering out on innocents that had nothing to do with it!"
DarknessBagramon turned to him. "I too saw your mind while my data was within you… I saw your past. All of it. I know of the tragedy you created when you were a child. And yet you think you can judge me? Your judgment is foolishly clouded." He then chuckled. "Then again, I can hardly fault you for it. You did after all have a pathetic excuse for a teacher." His gaze shifted to Alphamon. "Pawning off your duties on a human child? You really are a disgrace."
"I did what I had to do." Alphamon replied. "Besides, Takumi became stronger for it."
"And at what cost? You were much stronger back when we last fought. I do not feel that intensity anymore. You allowed your blade to dull while you had others do your duty. Saving the Digital World? Keeping the other knights in check? You failed both. All while constantly putting the boy in danger while you ordered him around safe and sound in your chair. For shame Alphamon… what would Imperialdramon say for such laziness and incompetence?" Alphamon clenched her fists. DarknessBagramon smirked. "What would Tactimon say for such dishonor and poor leadership?"
Alphamon's eyes burned and, in a flash, too fast for even Super Sonic to keep track and she snatched her Oryuken back from him and darted towards DarknessBagramon. "Alphamon!" Super Sonic shouted.
"Digitize of Soul!" Alphamon fired green light from her palm as she flew at DarknessBagramon. Dust puffed up where he was struck at his chest. "Blade…" She flew up right in front of him. "OF THE DRAGON KING!"
Everyone watched her roar as she slashed repeatedly with incredible force in utter shock. "Kyoko…" It was unsettling for Takumi to see Kyoko or Alphamon afraid. But even more so to see either lash out in blind fury like that.
"HAAAAAA!" She swung down one more time generating an explosion. As it died down, she panted. A laugh made her gasp. The dust settled and DarknessBagramon didn't have a scratch. She looked up at his smirk. "Ah…!" She slightly backed up trembling.
"So much for the "legendary 13th Royal Knight"." DarknessBargamon laughed.
Alphamon didn't even notice his hand was right next to her before he flicked her. She yelled crashing into the moon in the distance. "Kyoko!" Takumi shouted.
DarknessBagramon smirked at Takumi. "Now it is your turn, failed student of a failed teacher. I DarknessBagramon will grind Alphamon's precious pet into dust right in front of her. Then I will bring judgment upon all failed worlds and replace them with the perfect world!"
"Not gonna happen!" Super Sonic said gripping the Omni Sword in both hands glowing gold. Rosemon Burst Mode's jewels orbited around her, and she swung her whips. Rpaidmon Armor spun around and aimed his firearms at DarknessBagramon. Craniamon spun his sword over his head then held out his shield. Supreme took its rifle from its back and held it in both hands as two turrets and a bunch of bits appeared around it. Together they advanced towards DarknessBagramon. The evil Digimon cackled and dark meteors started flying towards them. Super Sonic and Rosemon Burst Mode slashed through a couple and kept moving. Craniamon blocked one with his shield, but it exploded blowing him back. Rapidmon Armor swerved around one then shot another. Supreme's turrets tore through a bunch of them before taking aim and firing at DarknessBagramon with its bits and rifle.
DarknessBagramon laughed it off. Even when Rapidmon Armor started shooting alongside the Titan it had no effect. Super Sonic charged with Wild Rush thrusting the Omni Sword, but it bounced off. He swung the blade a few more times than used a Cyclone Kick. Rosemon Burst Mode whipped him, but it had no effect. "Kiss of Breath!" Her signature attack did nothing. "W-what?!"
"Bale-fire Eyes!" DarknessBagramon fired red pellets from the eyes on his chest. Super Sonic and Rosemon were blown away first. Supreme moved its bits in front of it as a shield but they were destroyed in one hit.
Rapidmon kept dodging until he got an opening. "Rapid Fire!" He shot missiles, but they didn't do any damage. "Ugh!"
Inside the Titan Takumi turned to Sage. "Can you reach Kyoko? I need to talk to her now!"
"Understood." Sage pulled up a monitor.
Back on the moon Alphamon groaned as she sat up shaking her head. Then a screen appeared in front of her. "Kyoko, can you hear me?!"
She looked at the fuzzy image. "Takumi?"
"Listen, I have a plan! I need you to do something…"
"Power of Breath!" Craniamon held up his shield and a barrier protected him from the hits as he advanced towards DarknessBagramon. Once he was in front of it, he stabbed with his sword but it didn't even scratch him. "RAAAAH!" Craniamon kept pushing with all his might.
"Fool." DarknessBagramon swatted him away. Super Sonic flew up and sent his Sonic Boom attack at DarknessBagramon but it disintegrated upon contact. DarknessBagramon let out a roar that sent him hurdling backwards.
Alphamon stood up. "I see. In that case you should go get it. I can hold Bagramon off for a while-
"His attention is already on us! I don't think he'll notice if you head back! We can't let him catch on or we risk him blowing up the planet!"
"Takumi, this is my responsibility! Bagramon became this powerful because I released him all those years ago!"
"I don't wanna hear it!" Takumi shouted, catching the knight off guard. "I was the one who destroyed the Fallen Royal Knights releasing him this time! I'm just as responsible for this as you!"
"Takumi…"
"Just go!"
Alphamon clenched her fists before thinking back on a memory.
"Alphamon, you shouldn't push yourself too hard." a Magnamon said.
"Now that Imperialdramon is gone, it is up to me to lead the knights and protect the Digital World."
"That is not a burden for you to carry alone." Leopardmon said. "You need to learn to trust those who stand by you."
Alphamon took a deep breath. "Why is this so complicated…" she muttered under her breath. "…Don't die Takumi."
"I won't. I promise."
Alphamon got up and flew straight for Earth as fast as she could.
Back on the island Eggman, Sayo, and Rina were quietly staring at the sky with Mirei and all the other Tamers and their Digimon. Nokia then spotted something. "Look!"
Alphamon descended from the sky and landed in front of them. "Kyoko!" Yuuko gasped. They all hurried over.
"What happened to Takumi and the others?" Keisuke asked.
"And what about Sage?" Eggman asked.
"They're still fighting." Alphamon looked at Mirei. "Bagramon has returned."
The woman shuddered. "No…!"
"Not only that, but he absorbed The End's power to ascend to a new form."
"Then why are you here?!" Date yelled. "That's your assistant who's risking his neck up there!"
Matayoshi elbowed her. "Hush! I'm sure Kyoko's got a plan."
"It's Takumi's plan more than anything." Alphamon turned to Eggman. "Where can I find Angel Island?"
"Angel Island?" Eggman asked. "Why would… Wait… I see…"
"I don't get it." Rina blinked.
Alphamon turned to the group. "According to Takumi, if the Titans weren't enough to stop The End, the Ancients were planning to take the Chaos Emeralds to the Master Emerald."
"The Emerald Knuckles has been protecting?" Arata asked.
"That's right!" Yuuko gasped. "We saw that in the visions from earlier!"
"The Master Emerald may be the only thing on this planet more powerful than the Chaos Emeralds." Eggman said. "It even has the power to control them. Takumi's logic is sound. It could help turn the tables."
Alphamon nodded. "Hence he sent me here to take it and bring it to him. I don't know what he's expecting to happen… but this new form of Bagramon is unlike anything we've ever seen. This could be our only hope."
"Sending coordinates now." Eggman said typing. "You'll find the altar in the center of the island."
"Whoa, whoa, hold up!" Arata shouted. "We can't remove the Master Emerald from the altar!"
"Why not?" Ryuji asked.
"Knuckles said that if the Emerald is removed from its pedestal or damaged, Angel Island will fall out of the sky!"
"Oh… that's not good." Yu muttered.
Eggman shrugged. "So what? Wouldn't be the first time. Besides, nothing's under Angel Island right now other than the ocean."
Hudiemon sarcastically chuckled. "I thought you were supposed to be the smartest guy in this world. The impact. Will create. A MASSIVE. TSUNAMI."
"Well, I don't suppose you have any better ideas?" Eggman scowled.
"We could try holding the island up." Nokia asked. Everyone just stared at her. "…Yeah, okay, pretty stupid idea…"
"No…" Mirei said. "I think you might be onto something."
"Really?"
Hudeimon looked at the Digimon around them. "Us Digimon are still a bit tired from our fights, but we should have the strength to hold up one island… for a time."
"Never thought I'd say this but… good plan Nokia." Yuuko smiled.
"Aw!"
"Then let's get going." Alphamon said. "Takumi needs that Emerald now."
DarknessBagramon shot a dark wave from his mouth. The team barley dodged. "You said you saw my memories. Then you know of your master has done. She is a short-sighted fool who caused great suffering."
"Then it's meant to be!" Takumi replied firing at DarknessBagramon with Supreme. "Alphamon and Kyoko might not be perfect, but neither am I! That's why we support each other! Just like me and my Digimon!"
"Hmph." DarknessBagramon fired a red beam from his eyes. The Titan held up its left arm to block it but was blown away.
Super Sonic starred at Supreme. Its left arm was torn off. "Oh, no…"
Rapidmon Armor fired missiles from the cartridge on his back. "This isn't working! If we're going to beat this guy, we need to start doing some actual damage!"
"Then let's hit it hard all at the same time!" Super Sonic said. Everyone gathered around Supreme. "On three! One! Two! Three!" He threw a Cross Clash. Supreme fired its rifle and turrets at the same time.
"Jewel of Heart!"
"Miracle Missile!"
"Shock Ringer!" Takumi's Digimon joined them. Their attacks joined into a golden arrow that flew straight into DarknessBagramon and exploded.
"Bullseye!" Rapidmon Armor grinned.
The dust settled and DarknessBagramon was seen with a giant hole in his chest. "Now we're getting somewhere!" Super Sonic grinned. "Now we just need to do that a couple hundred more times."
"The Titan is low on ammunition." Sage replied.
DarknessBagramon looked at the hole in him. "It seems I underestimated you. Damaging me in this form is no small accomplishment. However… it changes nothing." Black substance filled the injury and then it regenerated.
"What?!" Sage gasped.
"Oh, COME ON!" Super Sonic shouted.
"Of course…" Takumi muttered.
"I am eternal." DarknessBagramon glared. "I cannot be destroyed."
"He's not just strong…" Rapidmon Armor shuddered. "He's immortal!"
"This is a whole different issue from the Mother Eater or DarkKnightmon…" Craniamon seethed.
DarknessBagramon crossed his arms. "Eternal Darkmare!" A flap of his dark wings unleashed powerful black waves that blew the party away.
Takumi grunted. "Just have to hold on…"
Viekmon was blowing downward, and an icy pillar rose up with him, AncientVolcanomon, Armageddmon and Gaiomon Fierce Blade Mode. It stopped rising when they were right under a massive island. TyrantKabuterimon, GigaSeadramon, Omnimon Alter-S, Chaosdramon, Justimon, Hudiemon, MarineAngemon, TigerVespamon, Cherubimon, Gryphonmon, Dianamon, Alphamon, and Mastemon were flying right under it. "Okay." Hudiemon said. "We're in position."
On the altar of Angel Island, Rina and VeeVee stood in front of a giant green Emerald. Nokia, Arata, Yuuko, Yuugo, Keisuke, Ryuji, Chitose, Yu, Fei, Date, Matayoshi, Sayo, and Mirei stood nearby. "Dang, look at the size of that thing!" Fei said.
"So, this is the Master Diamond, huh?" Nokia asked.
"Think of how much you could pawn that thing off for…" Chitose grinned.
Arata squinted. "You two better hope Knuckles never finds out either of you said that."
"Well, more importantly, I hope this solves our problems." Sayo said. "It sounds like the situation is bleak, even for Takumi."
"VeeVee, we're counting on you." Mirei said. "You're the fastest among us. You can get this Emerald to Takumi and Sonic and back as soon as possible."
"Leave it to me." VeeVee nodded.
Mirei looked at her laptop. "Is everyone down there ready?"
"As ready as we'll ever be." Omnimon Alter-S replied. She looked at her fellow Digimon and they all nodded…except for one of them. "Alphamon?"
"Hmm? Sorry, I'm ready."
"Dosen't look that way to me." Justimon said.
"What's bothering you?" Vikemon asked.
Alphamon sighed. "…I think I know what drove Takumi to Connect Jump into the Mother Eater that day. He felt he owe it to him because he brought the Eaters into the Digital World. Much like how Bagramon is my responsibility. I made him who he is now. You would think stopping him would be my burden… but now I'm forcing it on Takumi. It's just as Hudiemon, Mirei, Sonic, Keisuke, and Eggman said. All I've done is push things onto Takumi. Some of which were my responsibilities."
"Kyoko…" Nokia murmured.
Hudiemon took a deep breath. "Alphamon… I will always stand by what I said earlier. There were times you could have helped Takumi out a bit more than you did. Especially for things that were originally your tasks to begin with! But this is different. Circumstances forced him to be there while you support him from here with us. It's out of your hands this time."
"We all know how you feel Kyoko." Arata said. "When push comes to shove, we all rely on the guy too much. Heh. It's funny really. As much as we scold him for being reckless, part of why he's like that is because we depend on him all the time."
"Kyo-kyo…" Matayoshi walked over to Mirei's laptop. "It's not like you've done nothing to contribute. Think about how much Takumi has grown. You may have been rough on him sometimes… but because of that he's grown into the fine, capable detective he is today. I was wrong about what I said earlier. He's more than just a boy now. And it's thanks to you. Do you see? You did a great deal in stopping Bagramon here. Because you made the one person who can stop him now. You did everything you could for your apprentice to prepare him. Now you must believe in him."
Alphamon closed her eyes as more memories came to her.
Imperialdramon Paladin Mode, Omnimon, and Gallantmon stood in front of King Drasil. The other knights were before them. "It is time." Gallantmon said. "King Drasil will send us to this other world…"
"Your noble sacrifice will not be forgotten." Crusadermon bowed.
"We leave the Digital World in your hands." Omnimon said.
"It will be protected." Leopardmon replied. "I swear to you."
"It's been an honor." UlforceVeedramon added.
"The honor was all mine." Imperialdramon said. "To see the team I assembled grow this much… it fills me with pride and joy." He turned to Alphamon. "Alphamon… you have grown a great deal since we last met. You have conquered your darkness and earned King Drasil's trust. That's why… I am putting you in command of the Royal Knights in my place."
Alphamon gasped. "M-me?"
"You are ready for the task. I assure you."
"I… I don't know if…"
Imperialdramon stepped towards her. "Alphamon… I formed the Royal Knights many ages ago in the old Digital World. But I always knew that someday I would have to pass the torch on to someone else. When I saw you transform into a Royal Knight, I knew that was meant to be you." Imperialdramon took the Omni Sword and held it by the hilt in one hand and placed the blade atop the other. "Alphamon… someday you may find someone to pass your ideals and beliefs to. When you find that someone you must prepare them the best you can for when they need to stand up for those beliefs. You are the inheritor of my will, and your old mentor Tactimon's. And if you can pass that will to someone then neither he nor I will truly be gone." He held the sword to his fellow knight. "Do you understand?"
Alphamon took a deep breath. "I do. I promise I will find a worthy successor for the legacy of you and my lost comrades. Until then I will keep fighting for this new Digital World." She gently took the sword.
"Very good. I shall spend my exile in this other world enjoying the thought of who you will select to be your successor."
Alphamon opened her eyes. "Yes. I suppose you're right. Thank you everyone."
VeeVee put his hands on the Master Emerald. "Once I move this thing this island's gonna fall. You guys ready?"
"Ready." Everyone said.
"Rina, I'll be right back."
The girl grinned. "You go partner! Show em what true speed looks like!"
VeeVee lifted the Master Emerald and took off into the sky. Shortly after everything started shaking. "Whoa!" Nokia nearly fell over but Date caught her. The Digimon under them grunted as they held the island up.
"Just hold on!" Keisuke said. "You only have to keep this up until Takumi finds out what he needs to do with the Emerald and VeeVee gets back!"
"Easy for you to say…!" Hudiemon grunted.
Back in space, DarknessBagramon laughed as his eyes shot lasers. The team did their best to doge them but one tore one of Supreme's legs off. "Takumi!" Craniamon flew in front of the Titan. "Power of Breath!"
"Pitiful." DarknessBagramon's lasers instantly destroyed the shield, striking the knight. Rapidmon Armor and Rosemon Burst Mode charged at him, and he swatted them aside. Super Sonic rammed him and bounced off him. He then noticed the sword the hedgehog was wielding. "That blade… it belonged to Imperialdramon…"
"Yeah! And I'm gonna use it to finish what he started!" Super Sonic curled into a ball and spun towards DarknessBagramon. The Sage of Death held his arm up and Super Sonic grinded against it before he heard a snap. To his shock the Omni Sword snapped in two.
"No…!" Craniamon shuddered. "Tell me this isn't happening…!"
DarknessBagramon laughed. "That power is no longer a threat to me!" He reeled back his fist. "When you see Imperialdramon, tell him he failed."
Takumi cringed as DarknessBagramon's fist glowed red. "Uh oh." Everyone braced themselves.
"God of Death Snatcher!" DarknessBagramon swung his mutated arm and a wave of red engulfed everyone. When it died down, Rosemon Burst Mode, Rapidmon Armor, and Craniamon were drifting in space unconscious along with Sonic. The Chaos Emeralds were scattered around them having lost their glow and color. Supreme's rifle was destroyed, its face was cracked, and its lower body was gone. DarknessBagramon laughed triumphantly. "My power has risen beyond my wildest dreams! Even the greatest of the worlds cannot hope to stop me! I will wipe out all worlds one by one until all that remains is my utopia!" He held his hand towards them. "Your struggle was in vain. Now it is time for you to rest eternally. Don't worry. All those you care about will join you soon."
Sage gritted her teeth. "Our probability of survival… is 0%... goodbye father…"
Takumi winced as a purple wave came at them. "…I'm sorry…everyone…"
"TAKUMI!" As VeeVee flew towards them, the Master Emerald glowed. He reached them just before DarknessBagramon's attack and a green barrier formed around them.
"What's this?" DarknessBagramon punched the shield repeatedly. It started to crack.
VeeVee looked at that in panic and turned to Takumi. "Okay, got your Emerald Takumi, so now what?"
Takumi gritted his teeth. "I… I don't know… It sounded like the Ancients thought something would happen if the Chaos Emeralds were brough to the Master Emerald!"
Sage looked at the Chaos Emeralds. "They have been robbed of their power…"
VeeVee shuddered as the slamming got louder and the barrier protecting them cracked further. "All that effort and it ends all the same…?"
Takumi closed his eyes. "…No. I can't let it end here. I have all the clues, went through all the details I could. The answer to this mystery is in front of me. I know we can find it." Takumi reached forward. He exited the Titan and floated inside the Master Emerald's shield. He floated to his unconscious Digimon. "Everyone… I'm here for you. Always am… And together I know we can stop Bagramon. Every time things seem hopeless; we rise to the challenge. That's who we are. Cyber Sleuths."
Suddenly the spirits of the Ancients appeared around VeeVee. "What the?! What are these?!"
"The Ancients…" Takumi murmured. "What are they…?"
The Elder floated over to the Master Emerald and put his hand on it. He spoke in his race's language. "The servers are the seven Chaos. Chaos is power, power is enriched by the heart. The controller is the one that unifies the Chaos."
The Master Emerald in VeeVee's hands glowed. "Whoa!"
Takumi saw a flash and looked behind him. The scattered Chaos Emeralds started glowing blue, green, white, purple, red, orange, and turquoise. One by one they grew in size… transforming into Super Emeralds. "The Emeralds… changed!" The Ancients turned to Takumi and bowed before disappearing. "…Thank you." He then noticed the shattered Omni Sword floating towards him and caught it. He closed his eyes and looked at his friends. "Rapidmon! Rosemon! Craniamon! Sonic! The Ancients left us with everything! Their hope was we'd protect the world that was left with us! Are you just going to lie there and let it disappear?!" The Omni Sword started to glow along with the lenses of his goggles. "A new dawn is rising! So, let's end this and go back to our friends to greet it together!"
The Super Emeralds started spinning around them. Rapidmon Armor, Rosemon Burst Mode, and Craniamon began to transform as Takumi held up the sword. Sonic opened his red eyes and shouted as he absorbed the Super Emeralds. Takumi's body glowed as the Omni Sword regenerated and his clothes changed colors. VeeVee, Sage and DarknessBagramon shielded their eyes as the green barrier shattered. "What is this…?!"
Sonic's quills rose up as if he became Super Sonic again, but now his body flashed bright red, sky blue, lime green, yellow, white, and violet. He had become Hyper Sonic. Rapidmon Armor's armor transformed giving him bladed arms, a purple gem tail, glowing green eyes and two cannons on his back. Rosemon Burst Mode had an open vest, a leather belt, thigh high white boots with her thighs bare and shoulder pads of gold armor while brandishing a thicker whip that coiled around her arms and legs. Craniamon's shield was on his back and his armor changed with gold skulls on his shoulder and knees, ribbons flowing from his helmet and spiked blades on his forearms. He held a much larger sword. Rapidmon Armor X, Rosemon Burst Mode X, and Craniamon X stood in front of Takumi who held the Omni Sword, had large, white draconic wings, white hair, and red eyes. His black and yellow clothes were now white and gold. Takumi swung his sword and faced DarknessBagramon. "Whoa…" VeeVee gapped.
"What… is that light?" DarknessBagramon asked.
"This is the power of the will to live." Hyper Sonic said. "The will to protect the ones we love and shape the future."
"And this will be your end." Takumi held the Omni Sword in both hands. "Thanks for the help VeeVee. We'll take it from here."
"Yeah. Okay." VeeVee nodded. "I need to get this thing back to the island." He started flying towards Earth.
DarknessBagramon glared at him. "Bale-fire Eyes!" He fired red lasers at VeeVee, but in a flash Hyper Sonic flew in and deflected them with the swing of his arm. "W-what?!" In an instant Hyper Sonic vanished and started spinning him around by the cape and threw him.
"Laser Gatling Arm!" Rapidmon Armor X flew up to him and started blasting him with rapid fire lights that exploded. DarknessBagramon screamed in pain before he knocked Rapidmon Armor X away. Hyper Sonic then rammed into him repeatedly curled into a ball, rammed him upward with an uppercut then slammed him downward with an axe kick.
Craniamon X appeared next to Hyper Sonic. "Grand Gríór!" He threw the tomahawks on his arms into DarknessBagramon slashing him. Hyper Sonic then projected multiple copies of light that all slammed down on the evil Digimon who then spat a red beam into Craniamon.
"Roseate Perfume!" Rosemon Burst Mode X's body emitted pink dust that healed her fellow Digimon. When Bagramon saw it his eye glowed and Rosemon found herself coiled up in red chains that started to crush her. Try as she might she couldn't move or break free. Until Takumi flew in slicing her bonds to pieces with the Omni Sword. He started moving so fast it seemed like he was all over DarknessBagramon at once slashing him with the sword. Then he stabbed it into his chest.
"Eternal Darkmare!" DarknessBagramon blew Takumi off and looked at the shining cuts left on his body. "Why… am I not healing…?!" Hyper Sonic hit him with a Homing Shot, followed up with Wild Rush, Loop Kick, Sonic Boom, Cross Slash, Spinning Slash, Cyclone Kick, and then a Stomp. Darkness Bagramon blew him away with a roar. He started swinging at the team and they dodged. He managed to catch Takumi in his hand and started crushing him.
"Rose Thorn Rapier!" Rosemon Burst Mode X slashed his hand making him let Takumi go. Takumi then swung the blade and a beam of light hit DarknessBagramon. Hyper Sonic drew a Quick Cyloop around DarknessBagramon and his arms were caught in silver chains with a collar on his next while Rosemon Burst Mode X coiled her whips around his arms restraining him further.
As Hyper Sonic drew another Cyloop, Craniamon X spun his sword overhead. "Heodenings Waltz!" He spun his blade and he and Hyper Sonic engulfed DarknessBagramon in a damaging cyclone.
From above Rapidmon Armor X, switched the firearms on his arms with the ones on his back as Hyper Sonic drew a third Cyloop. "Rapid Blaster!" He fired twin golden bursts as a giant silver javelin came down and they slammed into DarknessBagramon making his scream. Hyper Sonic roared as he burst with energy and an explosive flash blinded DarknessBagramon. Rapidmon Armor threw his four firearms and they orbited around Darkness Bagramon shooting him while he fired from his hands. "Billion Bullet!"
As DarknessBagramon was bombarded, Rosemon Burst Mode X held her hands forward and her jewels glowed pink. "Jewel Banquet!" She fired pink beams at him.
Craniamon flew in. "Kyukyoku Senjuken Dáinsleif!" He slashed DarknessBagramon with his sword. Hyper Sonic flew in front of him and moved so fast it looked like he was being perfectly still from a distance while plumbing his foe with swift sharp strikes. He finished with a Spin Dash ramming into his torso before kicking him upward. Takumi appeared above him and descended slashing him with the Omni Sword.
DarknessBagramon backed up. "No… I won't let this happen…! I WILL HAVE MY JUSTICE!" His hand glowed red. Takumi gathered with his Digimon and Hyper Sonic. They nodded. Takumi held up the Omni Sword and made a full rotation. A circle of light was drawn around them with more circles matching the palm of his glove. Images of Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Nokia, Arata, Yuuko, Yuugo, Keisuke, Ryuji, Chitose, Yu, Fei, Date, Matayoshi, Mirei, Sayo, and Rina as well as all their Digimon and Hudiemon and Alphamon flashed through their minds. "GOD OF DEATH SNATCHER!" DarknessBagramon charged at them with his hand glowing red.
Takumi held the Omni Sword in both hands pointing it at DarknessBagramon. The symbol behind them glowed. "Connect…"
"BOOST!" Hyper Sonic led the charge as Takumi and his Digimon rocketed with him towards DarknessBagramon coated in white light. They collided against DarknessBagramon's palm. Red sparks flew everywhere. Both parties grunted as they pushed. Slowly DarknessBagramon's arm stared to bend and then the heroes charged through, tearing his arm to pieces. DarknessBagramon gasped before they rammed through his chest blowing a hole through it. Hyper Sonic, Takumi and the X-Antibody Digimon stopped behind him.
DarknessBagramon's body was covered in glowing cracks as he coughed. "Im…impossible… I was supposed to be eternal… the strongest being…"
"Become as strong as you want." Hyper Sonic said. "It means nothing if your alone."
"Nobody else believes in your twisted philosophy of destroying all worlds to make an "utopia"." Craniamon X said.
"When our wills and strength combine, we can create any miracle." Rosemon Burst Mode X said.
"What we want to create is a true utopia in our eyes." Rapidmon Armor X said. "And we won't need to destroy anyone else's worlds for that."
"We'll keep chasing that one-way dream." Takumi said. "No matter what we encounter on that road, we'll stand side by side and keep moving towards the future."
DarknessBagramon's body started to fade. "So… my ideals… end here… but I…" He slowly raised his arm. "…Won't let you celebrate your victory…!"
"Watch out!" Hyper Sonic said. "He's up to something!"
Rapidmon Armor X looked around then gasped. "Guys! The End!"
Everyone looked at the lifeless moon. It glowed red. "If I fall here…" DarknessBagramon grinned. "I'm taking your puny world with me! DISSAPEAR!" He swung his arm and The End started moving towards the Earth. He laughed as his body fully disintegrated.
"NO!" Hyper Sonic flew as fast as he could towards the planet. The others quickly followed. They passed The End and were close to the Earth as it rapidly approached.
"No way that's getting through!" Takumi shouted holding the Omni Sword forward. His Digimon and Hyper Sonic held their hands out and they caught The End, but they could only slow it down as it still approached the Earth pushing them with it.
"N-no…!" Rapidmon Armor X looked behind him as the planet got closer. "If this keeps up…"
"Everyone is still on the planet!" Rosemon Burst Mode X said. "We can't let this into the atmosphere!"
"Sonic, can't you do something about this with the Emerald's power?!" Craniamon X shouted.
Hyper Sonic grunted. "I needed Shadow's help to warp a space station a fraction the size of this thing! I don't think Chaos Control is gonna cut it!"
Takumi gritted his teeth as he groaned. "Come on guys, we can't give up! Not now!"
Suddenly his Digivice rang. Through his goggle lenses he saw an image of Sage. "Cyber Sleuth, I have a case for you."
"Sage?"
"I need you to tell Keisuke something for me… please tell him I am thankful for everything he has done to help me, from helping my father to showing me that I have a heart for what data can't do… and tell him that I hope one day he and Erika can live side by side…holding hands with the ones they love."
Takumi stared at her serious gaze. "Sage… what are you doing?"
Sage closed her eyes. She then looked at him. "Farewell, heroes."
The thrusters on Supreme glowed again before it flew towards The End. From the other side of it, Takumi could hear the Titan getting closer and gasped. "Sage, no!" Inside the Titan Sage thought to herself. Memories of Eggman flashed along with memories of Keisuke, Sonic, Takumi, and the many other people she met on Starfall Islands. With one last thought of her creator, she smiled as her dress and eye glowed white and blue. Supreme rammed into The End from behind. It glowed bright red then exploded in a brilliant blast a safe distance from the Earth. "SAGE!" Takumi, his Digimon and Hyper Sonic were flung towards the planet as they heard a voice echo in their heads.
"Please… look after… father…"
Everyone was gathered back at Starfall Islands when they saw a red flash in the sky. "Whoa, what was that?!" Arata gapped.
Mirei took out her laptop. "Bagramon's signature disappeared. No traces of his data remain…"
"You mean he's… been destroyed?" Alphamon asked in shock. "My hope was that Takumi and Sonic would defeat him… But I did not think that possible to destroy him entirely…"
Mirei smirked at her. "Neither did I. But that assistant of yours is full of surprises."
Alphamon laughed. "Indeed."
"You raised him well…" Hudiemon said. "…for the most part."
"The most part?" Everyone laughed. Alphamon sighed shaking her head.
"So… does this mean it's over?" Fei asked. "For real this time?"
A red circle appeared above everyone, and Knuckles, Amy, and Tails dropped out of a vortex. "Guys!" Nokia ran over to them. The three looked at themselves and each other. "So, where have you three been while we were kicking butt and saving your world? You're welcome!" Nokia teased. Knuckles, Amy and Tails laughed.
"I think that answers your question." Chitoste grinned to Fei.
Amy and Nokia held each other's hands while Arata and Knuckles bumped fists and Tails and Yuuko shook hands. "Finally, everyone is back safe and sound." Yuuko smiled.
Sayo looked at the sky. "Almost everyone…" They all stared at the falling remains of The End like shooting stars in the dawn sky.
"Takumi… Sonic…" Arata murmured.
"Are they… okay?" Ryuji asked. "What if they were caught in that explosion?"
"Don't worry." Keisuke stepped forward. "Takumi made a promise. He'll come back to us. They both will. When they say they'll do something, they'll do it. Nothing will stop them." He grinned. "Trust me. I tried."
"That's right." Yuugo smiled. "He'll come back. He always does."
Everyone kept staring at the sky. Then five sparkling lights came towards them. Amy gasped at the sight. "Woohoo!"
"Takumi!" Yuuko teared up. Hyper Sonic, Takumi, Rapidmon Armor X, Rosemon Burst Mode X, and Craniamon X flew towards them.
"Yes!" Tails cheered.
"I knew it!" Arata grinned.
"All right!" Knuckles shouted as the grinning hedgehog approached. He spread his arms and reverted back to normal Sonic and the Super Emeralds reverted back to Chaos Emeralds before they scattered. Sonic landed on his feet.
Takumi landed next to him as his eyes, hair and clothes returned to normal and his wings and sword disappeared. He lifted his goggles up and smiled at his friends as his Digimon landed behind him. "Hey guys, what we miss?"
"Welcome home you crazy boys!" Nokia cheered as she and Amy ran up and hugged Takumi and Sonic. As Nokia dragged Takumi towards Arata, Yuuko and Yuugo pulling them into a group hug, Tails and Knuckles hurried to Sonic. Sonic gave Tails a high five and Knuckles a fist bump.
As the group hug concluded, Takumi smiled at all his friends. Including Keisuke and the others. "It's finally over."
"Well done kiddo." Matayoshi smiled.
"Okay kid, I'll admit it." Date smirked scratching her head. "I'm impressed."
"Here, here. You did guys didn't do half bad." Fei grinned.
"Half bad?" Rina asked. "That was incredible!"
Alphamon kneeled to Takumi. "I don't know what to say Takumi. Bagramon was a threat unlike anything we've ever seen. I couldn't destroy him. My master couldn't destroy him. The combined forces of the Royal Knights and King Drasil could only seal him away… but you did it."
Takumi shook his head. "No Kyoko. We did this. All of us working together."
Sayo smiled. "Takumi's right. No individual can survive everything that was thrown at us. This was the result of many coming together."
"Yeah, even Eggman contributed to this!" Armageddemon grinned.
"And Sage." Keisuke smiled before looking around. "Where is she anyway? Sayo and Rina said she went with you guys."
"She probably went straight back to her Eggdad!" Nokia grinned.
"Probably." Chitose laughed. "That's daddy's little girl for you! She earned a pat on the head for this, that's for sure!"
Sonic, Takumi and his Digimon fell dead silent. "Sonic? Takumi?" Amy saw them staring down sadly. "What's the matter?"
"Yesh, why the frowns?" Knuckles asked. "This is our big moment of triumph and you're souring the mood."
Takumi sighed and turned to one of his friends. "Keisuke?"
Keisuke stared at him. "Yeah…?"
Takumi slowly walked over to the hacker. "Sage wanted me to tell you something." He put a hand on his shoulder. "She wanted to thank you for helping her father and showing her that she had a heart. She also wanted me to tell you she hopes you and Erika will find a future where you can be together with the people you love."
Everyone stared at him. Keisuke' was taken aback. "Wait… why would… what are you saying…?" Keisuke grabbed Takumi's shoulders. "What happened to Sage?!"
Takumi sadly turned away. "Sage… she saved this world… her father… all of us… she fought for what she believed in… with all her strength to the end… I…" He looked down with a cracking voice. "I'm sorry…"
Everyone froze in shock. Keisuke stumbled backwards. Hudiemon grabbed his shoulder. "Sage…" Keisuke murmured.
Tails frowned. "You mean she…?"
"No…" Ryuji muttered.
Nokia covered her eyes with her hands and cried. "Sage…!" Date held her cousin and rubbed her back.
Matayoshi sighed. "Why is it the good who die young?"
Arata quietly walked to a nearby tree and banged his fist against it shouting angerly. "How could this happen…?" Yuuko asked.
Alphamon closed her eyes. "Sage was a good kid."
"Indeed." Mirei sighed. "…She may have been an A.I. built by a narcissistic madman… but she had as big a heart as any human or Digimon…"
Keisuke covered his eyes with his hand. "How could she do that…?"
Yu looked at him. "Keisuke?"
"I told her… I TOLD HER! Nothing hurts more than having someone you love torn from you! And now the Doctor's lost her…!"
"She knew Keisuke." Hudiemon soothed. "That's why she couldn't bear the thought of losing her father. She had to keep him safe. She had to. …Even if it meant she…"
"She wanted to protect her family." Yuugo said. "That's what family does…"
Sonic sighed and looked at the sky. "Sage… Eggman…"
Elsewhere Eggman kneeled at the edge of a cliff. He stood up and looked at the falling pieces of The End before looking down. He slowly lifted his head up and clenched his fist.
