Chapter 13: The Recipe for Love

Time 6:00
The day of the school duel between Duel Academy and North Academy was upon us, it was only a matter of a few days. Today is a quiet and relaxing day for everyone at Duel Academy, or at least that's what a certain person at Slifer red dorm would have liked.
"Red Hat! Hey, Red Hat! It's morning, get up! " Blair screamed as she tried to wake up her roommate.
Red Hat yawned as he stood up, even though he didn't want to as Blair kept yelling to wake him up. "I'm awake, that's fine. May I know why you woke me up like this? "
"Say, are you good at cooking? " Blair asked.
Red Hat was confused as to why she had asked him such a question earlier in the morning. "No, I really don't know anything about cooking. Why are you asking? "
"I understand, then I'll have to go with the other approach."
"Can you explain to me what's going on? "
"I want someone to try my cooking." Blair replied with a shy expression with flushed cheeks. "If I make something delicious I'm sure Zane would love it." Blair explained. "And this is where you come into play."
"Me? But, I just told you that I really don't know anything about cooking." Red Hat had repeated itself.
"I understood that. I need you because I want you to try my cooking." Blair clarified.
"So basically you're telling me that you need me because you want to use me as a guinea pig."
"I wouldn't put it that way." Blair said in a shy voice. "But I really need your help! Please! " She begged.
Red Hat didn't like how things were going at all, he knew that if he didn't answer, Blair would torment him to convince him. "What am I getting into? " He thought in his mind before sighing. "Okay I'll do it."
"Really?! Oh thank you Red Hat! Thank you, thank you! " Blair thanked him as she jumped for joy.
"Look, apart from that, can you cook? " Red Hat asked.
At that question, Blair seemed to freeze for a few seconds. "W-w-well, the other times I was helped to cook, but I remember perfectly how to do it." Blair explained. Hearing it, Red Hat looked at her with a skeptical expression. "I really can! " She persisted as she left the room.
"Who knows why but I have a bad feeling." He thought as he followed Blair. "Can we go to the cardshop to buy some sandwiches first? "
"You know you shouldn't eat sandwiches all the time, you should eat something healthier." Blair said.
"I don't see why I would. I ate sandwiches and instant meals most of the time when I was at home." Red Hat replied flatly.
"What?! " Blair said shocked by his response. "You should really eat more adequately then, what you do is not healthy."
"If you say so." said Red Hat as they stopped at their dorm cafeteria.
Several minutes had passed, Red Hat was waiting sitting at a table, Blair instead had asked Professor Banner to be able to use the kitchen of the dorm. The professor complies with his request, making him promise, however, to put everything in order when he is finished.
"She could have let me get a sandwich earlier, I'm starving." thought Red Hat hungry.
After a few minutes, Blair finally came out of the kitchen with a plate in her hands. "Here's your plate." He said putting the plate in front of Red Hat.
"But what is this? " Red Hat wondered trying to figure out what it was.
Red Hat seemed hesitant to think of tasting Blair's dish, still unable to figure out what it was. Finally he took a piece and tasted it.
"So? Does it look good to you? " Blair asked, eager to know what he thought.
The answer didn't take long to arrive. Since Red Hat started coughing a little, he didn't seem to be feeling well.
Worrying about her partner, Blair immediately took him to the nurse's office, where Miss Fontaine was. Who immediately gave him medicine to make him feel better. "Here, take this and you should feel better right away."
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! " Blair apologized feeling guilty.
"Don't worry Blair, it's not your fault, nothing serious happened." Red Hat told him trying to calm her down.
And so the day ended with a day of lessons and some trouble in the kitchen.
Sunday
Time 9:00
Red Hat was sleeping on the bed in his room, until someone came to wake him up, as per his usual luck.
"Hey, Red Hat! It's morning, so wake up! " shouted Blair.
Red Hat yawned as he stood up. "I'm awake, you can stop yelling now. Now what happened to wake me up again today? " He asked annoyed at being woken up.
"That's because of what happened yesterday."
"Blair, I already told you, nothing serious happened, no need to apologize again." Red Hat said, thinking Blair still felt guilty.
"No, that's not what I meant. Though I'm still sorry for that. But what I meant, is that with yesterday I realized that I need to find someone to teach me how to cook." Blair explained. "Oh, just wait, my darling Zane! All I need is a good cook to teach me! "
"You know that first you have to find someone willing to teach you how to cook, then a suitable place and everything you need to cook, right? Besides, there aren't many who know how to do it, and those who know how to do it I don't think will be willing to teach you." Red Hat pointed out.
"Man, why do you always have to be so negative. Anyway if you don't want to help me, I'll do it myself then."
Red Hat sighed before answering. "What I mean is that it's not going to be easy, and second of all, I'm wrong or I said I was going to protect your secret, so that means I'll have to help you with that too to protect your identity."
"So then you care about me." Blair said jokingly.
"H...hey. Let's not start with thi story again." said Red Hat. Blair laughed at her reaction. "So, do you have someone in mind who can help you? "
"Maybe I know who to ask. Come with me." Blair said as she and Red Hat left their room.
Time 10:00
Red Hat had followed Blair to the main building of the Academy. They passed near an open door from which they heard voices coming, so they decided to take a look. They saw that the source of the voices was coming from their classroom with Jaden working on the cards in his deck. But all his friends were also with him.
"You know, my Water Dragon would be fine addition to your deck for the school duel." Bastion said as he tried to give Jaden his card.
"That Water Dragon is a total washout. You need something strong like Etoile Cyber." Alexis said.
"How about my Des Koala? " Chumley said.
"You can use my Power Bond, if you need." Syrus said.
Jaden blurted out at that point. "What I need is some time to think! "
"There's no need to be rude Jaden. We're only trying to help. After all, you've been selected as the Academy's representative at the school duel. This is huge." Bastion reminded him.
"And if you don't win, it's going to be a huge disappoiment."
Their words ended up making Jaden even more nervous. "Oh, come on! Like there's not enough pressure on me already! I know the school's counting on me, but all I can do is my best! " He shouted to his friends.
"You're absolutely right, Dueling isn't about trophies, it's about being the best you can." Bastion said, seeming to agree with Jaden.
"Yeah." Alexis added.
"And the best needs the power of my Water Dragon card." Bastion began again.
"Or Power Bond."
"Or Etoile Cyber."
"Des Koala all the way."
The four started suggesting Jaden use their cards again.
"Man, with all this it will be really difficult for Jaden to be able to concentrate." Blair commented while observing the scene.
"And it's a waste of time, too. None of their cards match Jaden's deck." Red Hat said.
"All right! That's it! No more! If I'm ever arrange my deck, I need to be alone! " Jaden shouted as he grabbed his deck and his duel disk and then ran away, while the others began to chase him.
As soon as Jaden walked out of the classroom he noticed that Red Hat and Blair were there. "Jaden, go this way, quick." The red-hatted Slifer had suggested him.
"Thank you, Red Hat, you're a true friend." He thanked Jaden before starting to run again.
At that point Bastion, Alexis, Syrus and Chumley also arrived, noticing the two Slifers. "Red Hat, Blair, have you two seen Jaden by any chance? "
"He went that way." Red Hat pointed in the opposite direction where Jaden had gone, while the small group believed him and resumed the chase.
"I have a feeling Jaden isn't going to do too well today." Blair commented.
"You're right. And they can't even understand that trying to give their cards to Jaden instead of helping him would do the opposite and put him in trouble." Red Hat said, annoyed by their behavior. "Anyway, do you want to tell me where you're taking me? " He asked Blair.
"You'll see." Was her only response.
After walking around the main building for a while and stopping by the card shop to get some sandwiches, they passed the door of Chancellor Sheppard's office, where the school nurse, Miss Fontaine, was coming out. She was returning to the Obelisk blue girl dorm.
"Miss Fontaine! " Blair called her.
Hearing her name, the teacher noticed Blair and Red Hat. "Hello Blair, hello Red Hat." She greeted Fontaine. "Can I do something for you? "
"Teach, are you any good at cooking? "
"Hm, well I guess I can cook a few dishes or soo…"
"That's great! Please! Teach me how to make something delicious! I really want to cook something as a gift for someone special! " Blair pleaded, bending forward.
At first, Fontaine was a little surprised that a boy was asking him to teach him how to cook. After a few seconds she started giggling though. "Cook something? He, he, he, ok then. I'll teach you a recipe. Something that'll make the person who eats it fall in love with you! The ultimate dish! The ultimate cooking technique! "
Blair felt thrilled upon hearing these words. Her eyes seemed to shine at this news. "Wow! Something like that exist?! You're awesome! Teach me, please! "
"It was easier than I expected though." Red Hat thought. "Blair, be careful not to blow your cover though."
Fontaine was surprised and amused by his enthusiasm."... Oh? You seem excited. Let's see... Well... In order to make it, you have to have really strong feelings for someone... Will you show me in a duel just how deep are your feelings? What do you say? "
"I accept! " Blair replied immediately without wasting any time.
"Well, in that case we can use the dueling arena. We'll do there the duel."
"Can I come too? " Red Hat asked.
"Of course, I'm sure Blair doesn't mind your support for this duel." Fontaine replied.
The three headed towards the dueling arena. Once we arrived I immediately took up my position, with Blair and Fontaine already ready in the arena, and Red Hat who was near Blair's side. "I'm curious to see how Miss Fontaine duels." Red Hat thought curiously.
"Are you ready, Blair? " Fontaine asked as he activated his duel disk.
"I can't afford to lose. I absolutely need to learn that recipe! " Blair replied determinedly activating her duel disk.

Fontaine: 8000 LP
"How about I go first? " Fontaine asked receiving a nod from Blair. "Okay, then I draw! " Fontaine draws.

"I summon Cure Mermaid in attack mode! (Atk: 1500 – Def: 800) Next, I Set a card facedown and end my turn." Fontaine ends her turn.

"It's my turn. I draw! " Blair draws.
Hand 6
"I summon Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke in attack mode! (Atk: 1800 – Def: 1000) And now he attack your mermaid! " The ninja rushed towards the opposing monster to attack.
"I activate my trap card! "Fontaine said activating her facedown card. "Gravity Bind! With this card all level 4 or higher monsters can not attacks." Fontaine's trap card generated waves that seemed to stop Blair's monster, forcing it to stop its attack.
"In this case, I set a card facedown and end my turn." Blair ends her turn.

"Since it's my standby phase, Cure Mermaid effect activates. As long she remain face-up on the field, I gain 800 life points." Fontaine explained as a green aura surrounded her increasing her life points.
Faontaine: 8000 – 8800 LP
"Now, I summon Fire Princess in attack mode! (Atk: 1300 – Def: 1500) I set a card facedown and end my turn." Fontaine ends her turn.

"It's my run. I draw! " Blair draws.
Hand 5
"With the cards I have in my hands I can't destroy Gravity Bind. I can only buy time for now." Blair thought as she looked at the cards in her hand. "I end my turn." Blair ends her turn.
Hand 5
"Before your turn ends I activate my facedown card. The continuous trap, Solemn Wishes." Fontaine said.
"Well then, it's my turn. I draw! " Fontaine draws.
Hand 4
"Thanks to Solemn Wishes, I gain 500 life points every time I draw cards." Fontaine explained as her body became surrounded by a green aura.
Fontaine: 8800 – 9300 LP
"Doing so, immediately activates Fire Princess' effect. Every time I gain life points, she inflict 500 points of damage to you." Fontaine's monster created a fire ball with his staff and threw it at Blair.
Blair: 8000 – 7500 LP
"And since is again my standby phase, I gain 800 life points with Cure Mermaid. And just like before Fire Princess effect activates."
Fontaine: 9300 – 10100 LP
Blair: 7500 – 7000 LP
Red Hat, meanwhile, had observed the plays that the teacher had made up until now. "I understood what his plan is. His deck is based on the constant increase of life points while defending with stall cards at the same time damaging the opponent's life points with the effect of Fire Princess. It's not that the strategy she is using is one of the best exsistent." Red Hat thought, not at all impressed.

"I play Pot of Greed, that allow me to draw two cards." As soon as Blair saw the cards she had just drawn a smile formed on her face. "I activate the spell card, Raigeki! Now all of your monsters are destroyed! " A rain of lightning fell from the sky, hitting Fonatine's monsters and destroying them.
Red Hat was surprised by this move, but seeing it brought a question to mind. "Hey Blair, where did you get that card? I don't remember us putting it in your deck when I helped you rebuild it."
Blair turned to him with a sheepish smile on her face. "Well you see, this morning before coming here I changed my deck a bit, your cards were on the table this morning, I saw that you used this card often, so I thought it would come in handy for me too. Sorry if I didn't tell you, later I give you back the card."
"Really good move, Blair." Fontaine complimented. "But I still have Gravity Bind on the field, which prevents you from attacking with level 4 or higher monsters."
"That's why I play this card. The quick-play spell, Mystical Space Typhoon! So I can destroy Gravity Bind." Strong gusts of vent blew against the opponent's trap card which shattered. "Now I tribute Sasuke to summon Silent Swordsman LV5 in attack mode! (Atk: 2300 – Def: 1000) Next I activate Monster Reborn to special summon Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke in attack mode! (Atk: 1800 – Def: 1000) Now both of my monsters attack you directly! " Both monsters rushed at Fontaine. Sasuke slashed at her with his daggers, while Silent Swordsman slashed at her with his sword.
Fonatine: 10100 – 8300 – 6000 LP
"I end my turn." Blair ends her turn.

"Nice comeback, Blair. Now it's my turn. I draw! " Fontaine draws.
Hand 5
"First of all, I gain 500 life points with the effect of Solemn Wishes."
Fontaine: 6000 – 6500 LP
"I summon Injection Fairy Lily in attack mode! (Atk: 400 – Def: 1500)" A fairy in a nurse's uniform with a large syringe had appeared on Fontaine's side of the field. "Now Lily attack Sasuke! Her effect activates, when she battles, I pay 2000 life points and this card gains 3000 life points! Give him a full check up Lily! (Atk: 400 – 3400 – Def: 1500)" Lily's syringe had grown in size, she used it by pricking Sasuke destroying him.

"Silent Sowrdsman LV5 effect activates. During my standby phase after this card inflict a battle damage to yo by a direct attack, I can send this monster to the graveyard and then special summon from my deck or hand Silent Swordsman LV7! (Atk: 2800 – Def: 1000)" Blair's monster began to glow with a strong light, as it began to grow in size, its sword had also become larger. "When he is on the field, he can negate the effect of the spell card on the field."
"Your monster is quite impressive." Fontaine praised.
"Thanks, teach." Blair replied. But she remained focused on the duel. "I can't attack yet. Even if he tried to use her facedown card I could respond using mine. "Well then, it's my turn. I draw! " Fontaine draws.

"Silent Magician LV4 effect, when you draw a card she gets a spell counter, and gets 500 attack points for every spell counter on her. (Atk: 1000 – 1500 – Def: 1000)" Blair explained as Silent Magician's staff began to glow.
"Well, in the meantime I gain 500 life points with Solemn Wishes."
Fontaine: 4500 – 5000 LP
"Now Injection Fairy Lily attack Silent Swordsman LV7! " Before Fontaine could activate her monster's effect she was interrupted by Blair.
"Oh no, you won't. Go, Widespread Ruin! This destroy your attacking monster." Blair activated her facedown card, a large mine appeared in front of Lily then exploded.
"In this case, I set a monster facedown and end my turn." Fontaine ends her turn.

"It's my turn. I draw! " Blair draws.

"Now Silent Swordsman LV7 attack her facedown monster! " Silent Swordsman attacked with his sword, but his attack was blocked by the opposing monster which revealed itself to be Marshmallon, who repelled his attack. (Atk: 300 – Def: 500)
"By doing so, you've activated Marshmallon effect. He can't be destroyed by battle, and since you've attacked him while he was facedown you take 1000 points of damage." Fontaine explained.
Blair: 5400 – 4400 LP
"I set two cards facedown and end my turn. It's your move, teach." Blair ends her turn.

"My turn. I draw! " Fontaine draws.
Hand 4
"Don't forget, when you draw Silent Magician LV4 get a spell counter. (Atk: 1500 – 2000 – Def: 1000)" Silent Magician's staff began to glow for the second time.
"Meanwhile, I gain another 500 life points with Solemn Wishes."
Fontaine: 5000 – 5500 LP
"I set a card facedown and end my turn." Fontaine ends her turn.

"Allright, it's my turn. I draw! " Blair draws.
Hand 2
"I activate my facedown card, Raigeki Break! I discard 1 card from my hand and destroy Marshmallon! " A bolt of lightning came out of Blair's trap card and hit the targeted monster, causing it to explode. "I tribute Silent Swordsman LV7 to summon his previous form, Silent Sowrdsman LV5! (Atk: 2300 – Def: 1000) "
"Why did you tribute your strongest monster to summon its previous form? " Fontaine asked confused.
"Because by doing this I can use again the spell cards." Blair replied. "But first I activate my facedown card, Reckles Greed! At the cost of skipping the next 2 draw phases I can draw two more cards." As soon as Blair draw two cards and saw them a smile formed on his face. "And those are exactly the cards I needed. I play Nobleman of Extermination! I destroy your facedown card and remove it from the play! " A man in knight's armor with his sword hit the card Blair pointed to, which was Call of the Haunted. "Since it was a trap card, we both have to remove from play all the copies of that card from our deck." Blair explained. "I have one of it." Blair said as she put the card in her pocket and then shuffled her deck.
"I don't have any other copies of that card." Fontaine said as she also shuffled her deck.
"Then I proceed by activating this spell card. Level Up! I send Silent Magician LV4 to the graveyard and special summon Silent Magician LV8 in attack mode! (Atk: 3500 – Def: 1000)" Silent Magician was engulfed in a vortex of light, and when it dissipated, a larger, more feminine version emerged. "Now my two monsters attack you directly! "
"I'm sorry to tell you this, Blair, but things won't go your way you want. It seems you forgot about my facedown card. Mirror Force! Your monsters in attack position are destroyed." A mirror-like barrier appeared in front of Fontaine.
Blair didn't seem worried at all though. "You're also forgetting something. That I also have a facedown card, which I activate now. My counter trap, Solemn Judgement! I pay half of my life points, with this I negate the activation of your card and destroy it! " An elderly man with a solemn aura appeared on the field, generating lightning in his hand that shattered the mirror barrier.
Blair: 4400 – 2200 LP
"Now, Silent Magician LV8, go with Silent Burning Attack! Then Silent Swordsman LV5 attack with Silent Slash! " Silent Magician charges her power in her staff and launches a ball of blue flame while Silent Swordsman slashing her.
Fontaine: 5500 – 2000 – 0 LP
"I didi t! I won! " Cheered Blair, jumping up and down.
Red Hat was amused by her reaction to winning the duel.
Fontaine let out a sigh as he deactivated the duel disk. "Hee hee… The teacher loses. You're strong, Blair. Guess I need to update my deck some more."
"Thanks for the compliment." Blair nodded before walking over to Miss Fontaine. "Now, please! Teach me the recipe! "
"All right, I'll teach you as promised. But... The truth is..." Fontaine scratched his cheek lightly, while was sweatdropping. "The ultimate cooking technique was just a joke, dear… I'm sorry…"
" What?! A Joke?! " Blair complained now sad for having dueled in vain.
Red Hat instead did mental face palm. "But we're kidding? So much effort for nothing." He thought a little disappointed.
"W-whait! Don't worry! Now that I know how fully determined you are, I suppose I can teach you a couple of cooking skills." Offered Fontaine. "I might not cook all the time, but I'm still pretty good! "
"Really? That's great! "
"Ok, then come with me to the Obelisk blue girl dorm. I will teach you there. But..." Fontaine interrupted before turning to Red Hat. "Sorry, Red Hat. But I can only bring one student with me."
" What? But why? " Blair asked confused.
"Well, because, I'm allowed to bring one male student with the supervision of a teacher like me. Aside from that, the access to male students to the girls dorm is prohibited." Fontaine explained.
Blair was about to start protesting, until Red Hat put his hand over her shoulder. "Don't worry about me, Blair. Go with Miss Fontaine. Besides, I'm frowned upon by Obelisk blues." Red Hat said.
Blair seemed hesitant to leave her partner all alone, but she had to go with Miss Fontaine if she wanted to learn how to cook something Zane would really like. After gathering her thoughts she turned to his partner. "Ok, then I'll go. But what will you do?"
"I think I'll go to the card shop and buy some sandwiches and head back to the dorm." Red Hat replied.
Blair wasn't at all surprised by his response. "I'm telling you again, you should start eating healthier besides sandwiches."
"And I tell you again that I don't see the need for it, I've eaten things like this almost every day and I'm fine."
"What?! This is no good, Red Hat! " Fontaine said amazed by the student's words. "I have to agree with Blair on this one, you should seriously eat healthier, it's not good for your health."
"Like I said, I'm fine for now. See you later." Red Hat said as he walked away, both Blair and Fontaine sweating at his words.
Time 23:00
After eating some sandwiches he got from the card shop today, Red Hat was in his room at the Slifer red dorm, where he was resting. At least until someone arrives.
"I'm back." Blair said, entering the room excitedly while holding some papers in her hand. "I've already made something sweet that I've already given to Zane."
Red Hat was surprised by how excited Blair was upon entering the room when the last thing she said caught his attention. "She already gave her gift to Zane. But how did she do it? No, don't tell me that..." Red Hat thought, with a thought that immediately made him worry. "Blair, don't tell me you snuck into Zane's room at the Obelisk blue dorm again? "
"No, no, no, don't worry. I left my present near the lighthouse, since Zane goes there very often, from what I understand from what you told me." Blair explained.
"Well, thank goodness. The last thing we need is for you to get into trouble and someone find out your true identity to be discovered." Red Hat said, breathing a sigh of relief. Then he noticed that Blair was holding a few papers in each hand. "Are those cards in your hand other recipes? " He asked.
"Yes, but these aren't for me. They're for you." Blair said handing him the recipe sheets to cook.
"What?! "
"Well, since Miss Fontaine and I don't like the idea of you only eating sandwiches and instant meals, I also told her about how you don't know how to cook. So she asked me to give you these beginner recipes that They're easy to prepare, even for someone like you." Blair explained.
"Why I get into situations like that when I help her." Red Hat wondered mentally.
"Go where? " Red Hat asked confused.
"From Zane of course." Blair replied as she dragged Red Hat with her out of their dorm.
Time 00:00
Red Hat and Blair were near the dock where they thought they would see Zane. And in fact after a few seconds they spotted him near the lighthouse with a box in his hand, while the Slifer duo was hidden in a nearby bush.
"How could you be sure Zane would be here? The fact that I met him here last time can't have been enough to convince you that he came here often." Red Hat asked curiously.
"I gathered information that Zane often comes here in the evenings, along with an Obelisk blue girl." Blair replied.
"Actually, that makes sense. The first time I met Zane in person he came here. The girl she's talking about must be Alexis. That would explain something." Red Hat mused.
"Red Hat, go." Blair said. While Red Hat didn't seem to understand what she meant. "Go to Zane and ask him what he thinks of my gift."
"Wh…What?! "
" There's no time to argue about it, now go! " Blair said pushing him out of their hiding place.
"All of this just for love. What have I gotten myself into." Red Hat mentally complained.
Hearing footsteps, Zane became aware of someone else's presence. He turned and saw it was Red Hat. "I didn't imagine I'd see you back here so soon."
Red Hat couldn't reveal the real reason he was there, so he quickly made up a plausible lie. "What can I say? It's a quiet place to relax."
"Yes, you are actually right about that." Zane replied holding a box in his hand.
Red Hat now had to be careful what words he said, or he would blow Blair's cover. "And that box you're holding? " He asked.
"This. I found it here when I first arrived. I noticed it was addressed to me." Zane replied flatly.
"Why don't you open it? "
"All right, I'll open it." Zane said. He began to tear off the wrapping paper and lifted the lid of the box to reveal several chocolates with a note on them.
"Dear my lovely Zane!
I'm so glad you found this note! I've been in love with you ever since we meta t the Nationals! I can't stop thinking of you! Please accept my generous gift of sweet! I really worked hard on making them! ~ From, your secret admirer, B.F. ~ "
"B.F.? I'm guseeing those are her initials." Muttered Zane before giving the box to Red Hat. "Here, you can have them, Red Hat."
"Huh? Wait? What? Why are you giving them to me? " Red Hat asked confused by his gesture.
"I don't like sweet things, so you can do whatever you want or give to someone. Be my guess. I have to return back to my dorm anyway." Zane said before walking away.
After he left, Red Hat approached Blair from where they had previously been hiding, with Red Hat looking at Blair who had a dejected look. Hearing her crush reject her hard – earned chocolates like that… it left Blair sad.
"I'm sorry it happened like this, Blair." Red Hat said trying to comfort her.
"No… It can't be… I thought they were good enough to like him."
"Look, how about we go back to the dorm? " Red Hat offered with Blair only responding with a nod.
As soon as they arrived outside the dorm, Red Hat saw that Jaden, Syrus and Chumley were outside.
"Red Hat, Blair, we were starting to wonder what happened to you. Where were you two? " Jaden asked.
"Well, see, let's just say we were out and about and last track of time." Red Hat replied.
Jaden then noticed that Red Hat was holding a box. "And that box in your hand, whose is it? " He asked out of curiosity.
"Oh, you're referring to this one. It's a box with some chocolates in it. Someone I know gave it to me because he doesn't like sweet things. You can take some if you want." Red Hat said.
"Really? Thanks, Red Hat." The three Slifers thanked him.
"This one here tastes a bit to sweet, but it's still good." Syrus said tasting a chocolate.
"Yes, you're right, it's very good." Chumley added.
At that point Jaden also took a chocolate and tasted it. "Mm, this is the best sweet I ever eat." Jaden said happily.
"R…Really? " Blair asked surprised as she looked at Jaden. Hearing those words, Blair's cheeks turned a little red. "He likes the chocolates I prepared." She thought in her head feeling happy before shaking her head to shake off the feeling.
At that point to Blair's surprise, Red Hat also took one of the chocolates to taste. A few seconds passed before he spoke. "Well, sweets aren't my thing, but I have to admit, these chocolates are really good." Red Hat said turning to his partner. Hearing those words made Blair smile.
After a few seconds all the chocolates in the box were gone.
"Man, those chocolates were really delicious. We better go to sleep now though. See you guys." He said goodbye to Jaden as he went to his room followed by his friends.
"See you Jaden." He waved goodbye to Red Hat as he and Blair went back to their room as well. Red Hat immediately climbed into bed as soon as he entered.
The day didn't go as Blair hoped with her gift for Zane, but hearing Red Hat and Jaden's words still made her feel happy, she thought before going to bed too.
Hello everyone, here is the new chapter. This chapter is based on Blair's episode in Tag Force 2, I decided to leave some parts of episode 23 The Little Belowski for reference only, while I will skip the part about Chazz being at North Academy entirely. I decided to make the chapter like this to use other parts of Tag Force that included Blair. The deck that Fontaine used in the duel was taken from Tag Force 2. I decided to do this chapter like this also because I also wanted to highlight Blair's skills when she duels alone to demonstrate that she is a skilled duelist, seeing how she fared during the field test against the Obelisk blue, and now against Fontaine who is the director of the girls' Obelisk blue. The rest of the scenes of Red Hat helping her are just to show that the bond he has with Blair is growing a bit. That's all for this chapter. The next chapter will be the one with the school duel.
