Ch6
Kayneth sat in his wheelchair, still unable to feel the lower half of his body. Damn it I already lost a lot. From all those mystic codes he lost in the explosion to losing the ability to walk or use his magic circuits correctly a part of him was tempted to just book it and run.
No I won't do that. I'll be the laughing stock of the clock tower, the great Kayneth bested by a bunch of minor mages? He shook his head clenching his fists. I need to at least survive. I don't want to die here.
He looked around his hide out and saw his fiancé walk out of her room. "H-Hey dear are you ready to leave?"
Sola Ui just rolled her eyes and ignored him. She hadn't spoken to him since Lancer beat her up and he didn't blame her. I know you don't' love me but please give me a chance. He sighed as he wracked his brain on ideas to make up with her. She is all I have left, no woman would want me. To be honest after this humiliation my family's reputation will take a hit.
Though he had to admit, he was glad that Caenis saved him from her. She was frightening when upset and the way she tried torturing him for command of Caenis still sent shivers down his spine. She would've worse if Caenis didn't intervene.
As much as he hated to admit it Caenis' words impacted him deep down. Due to his pride he nearly lost everything and now was close to death. No one has every spoken to me like that. Yet she is right, I deeply underestimated this entire war.
"Yo master you ready yet?" Caenis asked appearing next to him. "All masters are supposed to defeat Caster right now and since he is in the ocean it would be a good idea to show the other servants my strength."
"I am," he said. "I don't think my fiancé will come."
"Great sounds good," Caenis snorted. "To be honest if you are high standing mage I think you should dump her ass and get a new wife."
"I can't do that," he said avoiding her gaze. "It would benefit our families for us to get married."
"So? Arranged marriages were common in Ancient Greece if one family didn't meet your needs another one will." Caenis shrugged her shoulders. "I won't tell you how to live your life but that woman detests you. You are better off finding someone better."
Someone better. The thought did occur him, despite his feelings for her deep down he knew that Caenis was right. Sola Ui did not love him, in fact she detested him. "Lets just go for now," he sighed. "I'll deal with her later."
"Fine but if you had a pair between your legs I would send your packing as soon as you can. Women like her only cause trouble." Caenis said shaking her head. "Anyway we should get going the sooner we beat Caster the better."
"True. If we win I can also get to replenish the command spell I lost," he said gripping his hand. I don't want to die here. He winced and shook his head. "Lets just focus on the battle."
His servant laughed. "Well there is no point wasting time here then. I'll kick some ass tonight."
"Irisviel stand behind me!" Rama said as he drew his sword. The monstrosity that was Caster was in the ocean and currently heading towards land. I must destroy all evil.
"Saber be careful," Irisviel warned. "Kiritsugu said he will try to find and kill Caster's master."
He nodded. "As a god I cannot let this monstrosity live. Irisviel stay safe and call me if you are in danger."
"I will thank you," she said smiling at him.
He charged at creature; it was a tall monstrosity with tentacles. I could use my noble phantasm but it would reveal my identity. Rider was flying through the air chopping off tentacles while Lancer engaged it from the water.
A few tentacles came at him which he countered with a pair of chakrams. "Hey Saber when this fight is done we should finish our fight," Lancer said as she pierced Caster.
"Sounds good to me," he said as he chopped of a few tentacles with his sword.
Rider came down and dealt a blow to Caster's side. "Lancer we really should drink again. I really want to have a good conversation with you.."
Lancer laughed, "We'll drink sometime later alright?"
"Sounds good," Rider said with a smile.
Lancer cut through a series of tentacles with ease. "This son of a bitch isn't going down easily." She looked up at the sky and saw a large ship. "That golden bastard isn't going to be helping huh?"
"I doubt it," he said as he through chakrams at Caster. We can't let this thing get to the ground, if that happens the Holy Grail war will be disrupted. He wouldn't allow it. I've destroyed worse to get to Sita.
The three servants continued to slow Caster's advance. But their combined efforts were to avail as Caster continued to head towards the mainland.
"Damn I'm tempted to use my noble phantasm but I doubt it would be much use," Caenis said as she blocked jammed her spear into the mass of flesh.
"We have to think of something," Rider said. "An untold amount of lives will be lost if we don't stop it."
"Yeah no shit," Caenis swore as she repeatedly stabbed Caster. "But how the hell are we supposed to kill this thing?"
I could use it but do I want to do it now? Archer was currently in a firefight with a fighter jet and Lancer and Rider were here, his identity would be revealed if used it. It would be a weakness but then again if Caster reaches land the war would end and I wouldn't be able to see Sita again.
He looked over at his master and saw her wave to him. "I'll be right back," he said as he ran to her. "Irisviel what is it?"
"I just spoke with Kiritsugu," She said looking him in the eyes. "He says he says to use your noble phantasm to destroy it."
He sighed and nodded. "I understand." His heart raced in his chest, his noble phantasm was a powerful object one that could very much destroy the world if left unchecked. "Is he sure?"
"We can't let this war be interrupted," she said firmly. "Saber your weapon is the only one that can defeat that thing."
"I know," he said gripping his sword tightly. Looking down at it he could already picture Vishnu smiling at him. My duty is to my lord and he has command that I use it.
"Be safe Saber," Irisviel said.
He nodded and turned around taking a deep breath as he looked at Caster. "Lancer you and Rider get away from it. My noble phantasm can take care of it," he yelled as he gripped his sword tightly.
Rider looked at him and nodded and quickly got away from it while Caster merely jumped a few feet away from gripping her shield tightly. Both of them looked at him in curiosity, waiting for his actions.
He took a deep breath as he felt his mana reverberate throughout him. He raised his sword above his head as magical energy reverberated around him. His sword left his hand and hovered above him. "My blade release your rage," he said softly as magical energy reverberated around him. He looked at Caster's monstrous form, His sword began to spin quickly above him magical energy reverberated around him. Golden energy enveloped him as the very fabric of reality began to bend around him. "Behold the immortal blade that vanquished the Rakshasa King! The blade of the moon's ring, the bow of mortality. Feast upon my enemy, I dedicate this blow to my wife Sita. Brahamastra!"
He directed his sword right at Caster. His sword spun turning into a sharp golden ring that flew straight towards Caster. Rider watched in awe while Lancer looked at him in disgust. His noble phantasm hit Caster, there was an explosion of light and energy. The impact of the explosion was so strong Rider and Lancer were blown back and covered their eyes.
Sita that was for you. He took a few deep breaths, his breathing nearly falling to his knees. Brahamastra always took a lot of energy to use but for her, it was worth it.
He looked up at Caster as his form slowly disappeared, the top half of his body was completely cut off. "Good job King of Kosala," Rider said patting his back.
"Thanks," he said standing up straight. They had done it, Caster was defeated.
"So you're a god," Lancer said coldly. He turned around to see Lancer in some sort of gold armor glaring daggers at him. "I don't care if you aren't a Greek one I can't stand gods." She pointed her spear at him. "Saber or should I say Rama."
His body stiffened. "Yes I am Lord Rama avatar of the God Vishnu." He didn't know what her deal was but her gaze was looking for a fight. "My goal is to obtain the grail in order to return with my beloved wife Sita."
Rider turned to Lancer and frowned. "I do recognize you. The woman who was turned into a man after being with Poseidon. Caenis."
"Shut it!" Lancer yelled her eyes red as she glared at Rider. "Mention that man's name again and I'll fucking kill you Rider. I don't care how great you were in life I'll take you down and any god that I come across."
Caenis. He heard of the story once. The Greek Sea god Poseidon forced himself on her and she requested to be turned into a man so that it never happens to her again. I can understand why she has such animosity towards any god.
Caenis glared at him, "Saber fight me when you are ready or I'll come after you. Or do you want to fight now your choice."
Sita I'm one step closer and soon I'll be two steps closer. He said meeting her gaze with a fiery determination. "I'll accept your challenge Lancer."
Kiritsugu entered the holy church where Risei Kotomine stood with a wide smile. "Welcome Master of Saber Congratulations on your defeat of Caster, we are most appreciative of your help."
"No problem," he said taking a puff of a cigarette. The place had been staked out already, but he still wanted to spend as little time as possible here."
"Now then for your command seal," Risei said folding up his sleeves.
Kiritsugu nodded just as a shot was fired from the balcony. Risei Kotomine didn't have time to react as Maiya's bullet ripped through his skull.
He looked down at the dead body and picked it up. Better dispose of this properly.
"Sir let me handle it," Maiya said as she rushed down the stairs.
"Thanks," he said as he gave the body to her. "Right now we have to focus on Lancer."
