Toshinori's Choice

Chapter twenty-nine: The 1-A and 1-B friendship plan, part three

The persons from Dabi's Crew quickly repelled Endeavor's minions, with Twice alone outnumbering them thanks to his quirk. The pro heroes were able to recover and fight off Endeavor's minions as well. Burnin was identified as one of the elites serving under the disgraced former hero Endeavor, but the pro heroes were unable to keep her from fleeing, partly because Felgrand had gotten in the way unknowingly because he flew overhead and tried to blast Burnin with a breath weapon of Hellflame fire from his dragonic maw, but had to cut it short when he saw he almost hit Uwabami, who flinched when she saw she was almost hit.

That flinching from Uwabami, the only pro hero on scene able to focus on Burnin, allowed Burnin to escape. Aside from that, Endeavor's minions had to use smoke grenades to cover their escape. And even then some of them couldn't get away due to being knocked out, although all of those who were knocked out were a mix of men from the thugs of the Shie Hassaikai and a few random petty villains. The situation was soon handled, and the subdued villains were apprehended by the pro heroes. A few of the Class 1-A students even helped to round up the captured villains to group all of them together, where they sat bound with Aizawa's capture weapon.

But there laid a problem the pro heroes, and Class 1-A to a lesser extent, all faced; the present members of Dabi's Crew were all up and active. They apparently weren't hostile, or at least weren't giving those vibes. But then Nagant got down from the bleachers to stand with her fellows, then raised her rifle arm and pointed it at the group in general. "Shoto Todoroki," Nagant said, her tone cool and calm, sending shivers down the spines of many, "You are going to be coming with us peacefully now. We still need you to help us with luring in that flaming sack of garbage that you call your father. We still have grievances to air against him."

The members of Dabi's Crew, despite the numerous times they helped the heroes against Endeavor's forces, were STILL villains themselves. As such, it didn't really take the pro heroes and Class 1-A by surprise that Nagant was ordering Todoroki at gun point to come along with her and the others peacefully. Todoroki only arched a wry eyebrow as he regarded Nagant. "I know that you have grievances to air against Endeavor. All I got to say to that is for you to get in line. You aren't the only ones who want to see him brought down low."

Nagant allowed herself a slight but notable smirk. "Funny, that's legitimately funny. But in all seriousness, we really do need you for our plans against Endeavor."

"I'd like to see you bastard villain bastards take Todo-bro-ki with you," Kaminari said, "He's got nothing keeping him from fighting back the moment you try taking off with him."

"Todo-bro-ki?" Sero repeated in a confused tone.

"I was trying to do what Kirishima does with adding 'bro' to peoples names when he refers to them," Kaminari explained.

Shrugging, Kirishima said, "I gotta admit, 'Todo-bro-ki' sounds a bit forced."

"Well gee!" Kaminari said, sounding mildly annoyed and a bit upset, "That's what I get for trying to take a risk, I see! I spent several weeks trying to come up with what you'd call Todoroki if you kept up your habit of using 'bro', and all I get on Todo-bro-ki is that it 'sounds a bit forced'?!"

"Well Todoroki's name ain't exactly easy to slip the 'bro' factor into," Kirishima began to explain, looking a bit concerned that he had unintentionally upset Kaminari.

Gesturing to Todoroki, Kaminari went on, "Well how about Bro-to or Sho-bro?! Those were others I had come up with in the event first name basis is used!"

Kirishima, looking like he was considering something, said, "...Bro-to is actually pretty good."

"I don't suppose we can get back to the subject at hand, can we?" Felgrand asked, getting everyone's attention, "We need Shoto Todoroki to come with us willingly."

"Yeah!" Usagi declared, "Mr. Dabi says that Todoroki is needed to make Endeavor come out to play!"

Scowling as she looked up at Usagi and Felgrand, Yaoyorozu asked, "So first you and your villainous allies steal all of my family's wealth, and now you plan to kidnap one of my classmates. You jus-"

"Stole all of your family's wealth?" Felgrand interrupted, sounding genuinely surprised and confused, "What are you talking about?"

Pointing right up at Felgrand, Yaoyorozu said, "My family's fortune. It had been stolen from under everyone's noses during the scandal where my father was obviously framed with false evidence of insider trading."

Nagant's interest looked mildly piqued. "Ah yes, the fall from grace suffered by the Yaoyorozu family. Yes, I heard about that in the news. Well you can rest assured that we had nothing to do with your family's fortune pulling a disappearing act. If we were behind it, then it would have been made obvious by now."

Tsuyu looked up at Usagi and Felgrand, a somewhat concerned look on her face. "Are you two telling me the truth kero? That Dabi isn't behind the vanishing of Momo's family's money?"

"Yeah, we're being honest," Usagi said, "And speaking of Mr. Dabi, he seemed a bit mad for the past few days while muttering something about 'losing access to a pocketbook', whatever that means. What's a pocketbook?"

Tsuyu nodded once in confirming something before turning to look at Yaoyorozu. "They aren't behind the theft of your family's fortune kero." Turning back to face Usagi and Felgrand, Tsuyu went on, "And to answer your question, pocketbook is essentially a fancy name for wallet. It's used to hold money you carry on hand."

"Ah, okay," Usagi replied, "I guess that the rich girl's family being robbed means her daddy can't pay Mr. Dabi back the money he owes him is why Mr. Dabi is upset."

Yaoyorozu was about to speak up, but Tsuyu cut her off. "Just give up trying to argue with Satsuki," Tsuyu said, "Right now it'll be just a lost cause kero."

Stepping forward, Nagant said, "Yes, it's a lost cause. Similar to how trying to keep Shoto Todoroki from coming along with us is a lost cause."

Pointing at the villains, Fat Gum asked, "And how is it you intend to take Endeavor's kid with you? Do you have any quirk suppressing gear to put on him to keep him from fighting back?"

"No, we didn't think that far ahead to be honest," Spinner replied, "And we ought to consider that in the futu-"

"Eraserhead has a quirk suppressing collar around his neck," Felgrand spoke up, cutting Spinner off midsentence. Felgrand then reverted back down to his true form of Samidare, then rushed around to get behind Aizawa, moving at a speed that not even the Iida brothers could match. Placing his hand on the back of Aizawa's head, the sole Asui brother said, "Shouta Aizawa." After removing his hand, Samidare said, "Shouta Aizawa will be unable to use his quirk for the next twelve hours."

Scowling, Aizawa went on, "I'll be able to use my quirk the moment this collar comes off, young man."

Samidare merely arched a wry eyebrow before closing his eyes, as if willing something to happen. That did end up happening after Samidare stopped floating in the air, but then he placed his hands on the quirk suppressing collar around the underground hero's neck. "Quick suppressing collar," Samidare said while touching the collar around Aizawa's neck, the he took his hand away before saying, "The quirk suppressing collar will unlock itself." To Aizawa's surprise, the locking on the collar around his neck came undone, and Samidare opened it and took it off.

Samidare then rushed away with his super speed, then rushed up to Todoroki and slapped the quirk suppressing collar down around his neck. However, the moment he did so, Spinner with a hand to the side of his head said, "Guys, we need to bail. More heroes and the police are on their way. Their numbers they're bringing along means we can't take Endeavor's son with us."

"Hey Eraserhead," Hawks said as he turned to face Aizawa who looked like he was actively straining himself to try to do something, "We need to stop these guys from leaving! Why aren't you using your quirk?"

"I... I can't," Aizawa said, sounding genuinely surprised and looking mildly alarmed, "I'm trying to activate it, and I know full well it's still there, but for some reason Erasure won't acti-"

"I placed a rule on you to suppress your quirk," Samidare said, "Can't have you keeping us from using our quirks, now can we? I also used a rule to remove the collar you had on so I can put it on Shoto Todoroki, but that rule released itself when the collar was removed from you so I have access to it again."

Izuku looked surprised by Samidare's explanation of the power he was using. "You... placed rules? What does that-"

The green-haired boy was cut off when Spinner and Nagant took out smoke grenades and used them to cover their escape and the escape of the others. By the time the smoke settled and other pro heroes and police came in, the members of Dabi's Crew who were there had long since gotten away. As a side note, Aizawa was still unable to use his quirk. Obviously Samidare didn't release the 'rule' he put on Aizawa.

It was something Izuku planned to bring up to Toshinori.

...

"So according to the word that the members of Dabi's Crew gave," Naomasa said as he and Toshinori spoke with Aizawa, Hizashi, Tsuyu, and Izuku, "They are NOT behind the vanishing of the Yaoyorozu family fortune."

Tsuyu nodded in the affirmative. "I could tell that Satsuki was telling me the truth, she and Samidare have always been unable to lie to me. And the villains saying that they would have made it obvious by now if they were behind the theft of Yaoyorozu's family's money helps to back that claim up kero."

Folding his arms over his chest, Toshinori asked, "And what's this about Aizawa being unable to use his quirk even after Felgrand took off the quirk suppressing collar put onto him by Endeavor's followers so that said collar can be put onto Young Todoroki?"

"I... I think it had to do with one of the quirks Asui's little brother has," Izuku said. He then went into detail about what he saw, about Samidare making physical contact with Aizawa and then the quirk suppressing collar, saying their names, and then applying 'rules' to them that went into effect. As soon as Izuku mentioned Samidare 'applying rules', Toshinori's eyes widened with a shocked, mildly horrified realization. A look that became more and more pronunced as Izuku continued with his story to his step-dad and the good detective.

Naomasa, as well as Izuku and Tsuyu, looked to the horrified-looking former Symbol of Peace. "...Dad?" Izuku asked, "Are... are you o-"

"Young Asui's little brother has the New Order quirk."

Tsuyu perked up at that. "New Order? What kind of quirk is that kero?"

Rather than answer Tsuyu, Toshinori held a hand to his chin, looked down, and began muttering to himself. "No wonder I haven't heard from Cathleen is so long, All For One must have gotten to her and took her quirk to give to Felgrand. But why would that bastard give away Cathleen's quirk? Surely he would have much preferred to keep it for himself. And where is Cathleen right now? Is she even still alive? And just how much does the extent of Felgrand's grasp on New Order reach? The fact that he even has firm use over it and he's on the side of villainy means that Japanese hero society's struggle against its local villainy has just gotten infinitely more difficult and dangerous. I daresay that Felgrand might very well have become priority target number one for the heroes of Japan to deal with, but to tackle him as he is now is far too risky, and we don't even have knowledge of all of his quirks..."

As Toshinori muttered, Tsuyu turned to look at Izuku. "I see where you get your habit of going on mutter tangents from kero."

"Actually, it's more like my dad got it from me," Izuku explained. Izuku then got his dad's attention. "Hey dad, are you okay?" Izuku asked.

Letting out a troubled sigh, Toshinori replied, "It's... it's just that given what info on one of Dabi's elites that we just got thanks to you, the struggle that the heroes of Japan will be facing had just gotten significantly more difficult."

"Because you had apparently identified one of the quirks my little brother has kero?" Tsuyu asked.

"The fact that he only chose to suppress Aizawa's quirk for a set period of time meant that he's far more lenient than I would have given him credit for," Toshinori said, "If he wanted to, your little brother could have placed a rule on Aizawa that would have killed him if a specified condition was met." Tsuyu, as well as Izuku, both went wide-eyed with shocked surprise. Nodding once in agreement, Toshinori said, "Yeah, that young man has one of the strongest quirks to ever exist, a quirk that lets him, at least to some extent, alter reality to his ideas, limited only by what he can imagine."

Letting off a troubled shudder, Izuku said, "We really need to step up, huh?"

"You, me, and our classmates won't even be allowed to until we get our provisional licenses kero," Tsuyu pointed out. Izuku's shoulders slumped a bit, having been reminded that he and the rest of Class 1-A won't even be allowed to head out into the field because of how they had been cheated by Class 1-B. After a few more things were settled, the heroes were able to let Class 1-A return back to UA's campus. The students were alright, as were the kids. None of the pro heroes were hurt as well although Aizawa's quirk was still sealed. It was noted that Samidare had placed a twelve hour time limit on the seal.

A seal placed with New Order.

...

That evening at UA, Aizawa led his students up to their dorm building, where they were greeted by Nezu who stood with a rather familiar student, a student who Izuku and his peers hadn't seen since the first day of school, a student who Shinso only heard of through stories told to him by the others in class. Even Aizawa, who prided himself on not being one caught by surprise was completely taken aback by what was going on here with that student standing right there next to Nezu. There were a lot of complaints, especially from the female students in Class 1-A.

Because Minoru Mineta was back at UA.

"Yes, Minoru Mineta has been re-enrolled into UA," Nezu said after he got the initial complaints to settle down, "Placed back into class with you kids under Aizawa. He had been transferred in from Shiketsu, where he got into thanks to his influential uncle who also helped with arranging his transfer back into UA."

"Has..." Izuku began, a hint of uncertainty in his tone as he saw a concerned look on the face of the returned Mineta, "...Has Mineta learned his lesson concerning why he was expelled from UA in the first place?"

Mineta solemnly nodded his head in the affirmative. "Yes I did, Midoriya. You'd be very surprised what being expelled from school and kicked out of the house by your parents, only having a roof over your head because your uncle took you in also said uncle helped get you into another school, can do to make a person keep straight."

Aizawa arched a wry eyebrow as he folded his arms over his chest. "So I got back the boy I kicked out back on the first day of this school year. Let's hope that he really has cleaned up his act and won't harass any of the girls anymore." Many of the Class 1-A students who stood behind him, especially the girls, all nodded in agreement.

"I certainly hope so as well," Nezu said, "We need more hands than ever in the field. Although I will be keeping a close eye on things to see if Mineta's claims of changing his ways are real and will stick around." To Class 1-A as a whole, Nezu said, "Anyway, I got word about what happened. If the incident today doesn't convince the HPSC to agree to make arrangements to ensure safety for you kids, then I don't know what will. Regardless, tomorrow you will be doing more work with Class 1-B to bridge the gap between you two in order to do away with the bitter rivalry you have going. It will also be Mineta's chance to get to know everyone in the hero course here."

"The little troll better keep himself flying right," Mina scowled, clearly unamused to have Mineta back in class. The rest of the girls all nodded in agreement with Mina, and a few of the boys also kept a wary eye on their former classmate turned returned classmate.

"That's one reasonable request, I suppose," Todoroki replied, "Anyway, we all ought to rest up tomorrow. We have to deal with bastard saboteurs tomorrow."

"Tomorrow is also when the HPSC will drop the latest rankings list," Tenya pointed out. That reminder got the 1-A students more excited; the latest rankings list from the Hero Billboard Charts JP was coming out tomorrow. Given how many top ranking heroes had died since the beginning of the current school year, plus All Might retiring and Endeavor going villain, things were bound to be getting interesting. Everyone was excitedly talking about what the rankings would end up like as they made their way into the dorm, with Nezu asking the boys to help Mineta find a dorm room on the boys' side.

The next day was the day that many were anticipating all over Japan; the Hero Billboard Charts JP. The latest rankings list, showing all of Japan who the best of the best was. Everyone in Class 1-A was gathered in the main area of their dorm building, with Mineta hanging off to the side of where the boys were gathered, before Kaminari turned the TV on and changed it to the channel for everyone to watch the announcements. This would be the first billboards charts since All Might became a pro hero so long ago where the Symbol of Peace would NOT be the number one, and that's only by virtue of All Might having retired.

Endeavor, had he not been exposed and subsequently went villain, would most likely have ended up as number one. But All Might was retired and Endeavor is now one of the most wanted villains in Japan. As such, it was highly anticipated that Hawks would scoop up the number one spot, despite how some of the 1-A students, such as Todoroki, voicing feelings that Hawks may not actually want to be so highly ranked. Regardless, the event soon started up on TV, and everyone leaned in close to see it as the latest rankings for Japan's pro heroes were announced to the entirety of the public.

Firstly, a short ceremony was held to honor the pro heroes who had died between the last rankings announcement and this current one. After that, a series of pro heroes were announced with varying ranks; many saw rank ups, but it was strongly implied that a number of pro heroes dying, All Might retiring, and Endeavor (plus some of his sidekicks) going villain had a lot to do with seeing so many pro heroes across the land of the rising sun see their rankings go up a space or two. This revelations left Izuku wondering how the rankings would have looked had there not been so many losses.

To no-one's surprise, Hawks got the number one spot. At number two was Edgeshot, and from third to eighth were Mirko, Ryukyu, Kamui Woods, Gang Orca, Shishido, and Majestic. Ninth surprised everyone in Class 1-A as it was Tensei Iida aka Ingenium, and tenth was, even more surprisingly, Fat Gum. Ingenium and Fat Gum, despite both being stalwart heroes trusted by many, were surprise break-ins into the Top Ten on the Hero Billboard Charts JP. Even Tenya, who saw his older brother declared as one of Japan's top ten heroes, was more surprised than ecstatic, but he was still happy for Tensei.

"Well now," Mina said after the televised event was over, "That was interesting."

"Yeah, Iida's brother is one of the top ten heroes in the country now," Hagakure remarked.

"Dude, you can rub that in the faces of those 1-B pricks when we work with them later today," Sero said when he turned to face Tenya.

The speedster laughed a bit in embarrassment as he rubbed the back of his head, but before he was able to say anything Aizawa came into the area. "Well good news, everyone," Aizawa said, "My quirk's working fine again, although I learned of it when I reflexively used my quirk on Hizashi a few moments ago."

Izuku nodded once, a grim look of understanding on his face. "Yeah, Aizawa-sensei. Asui's little brother only put a twelve hour time limit on your quirk being suppressed. My guess is that it released itself when the twelve hours were up."

Clapping his hands together, Aizawa said, "Anyway, everyone get dressed in PE uniforms. The next exercise between this class and 1-B to foster good relations between both classes will be done out on the track."

The students of Class 1-A all rolled their eyes dryly, some sighing in exasperated tones, before they all got up anyway and went to go get dressed. When everyone was ready, they all met back downstairs and, following Aizawa, left the dorm building to head out onto the track to meet with Class 1-B. Aside from this being Mineta's first cooperation fostering exercise between 1-A and 1-B, it also came right after the Hero Billboard Charts JP just dropped the latest rankings list. No doubt that the rankings were going to be the subject of much debate.

...

Out on the track later, the students were doing various activities together. There were twenty pairs, each consisting on one 1-A and one 1-B student. A good number of the students were not fond of having to work with the rival class. However, some leniency from 1-B was shown to Mineta as he was utterly new to things here. Some leniency, but not enough as Monoma and his like-minded fellows in 1-B felt that Mineta, if anything, should have been placed in their class instead. When that point was raised, Sekijiro said that 1-A was the class down a student, not 1-B.

A hint of annoyed anger in the Blood Hero's tone suggested that, if the hard-line anti-Class 1-A students didn't get their act together, then 1-B may indeed end up seeing something of a student shortage.

Aizawa and Hizashi took note that, as Sekijiro decided on the pairs, Izuku and Itsuka were one of the pairs. The tone with which Sekijiro spoke when he praised Izuku and Itsuka on doing well working together was a clear sign that Sekijiro paired Izuku with Itsuka on the basis that Itsuka is the girl Sekijiro had bet on was the girl who Izuku is crushing on. Ryo whispering to Aizawa and Hizashi confirmed their theory, thus prompting Aizawa to dryly roll his eyes at Sekijiro's blatant attempt to push the option that would see him win the pot that the UA staff had pooled together thus far.

"Sekijiro, I have to agree with Shouta and Hizashi on this one," Ryo said, "You pairing Midoriya and Kendo to work together is clearly a blatant attempt on your part to try to win the betting pool that the staff has going."

"Do you know how much money I stand to win with my bet that it's Kendo?" Sekijiro asked.

Nodding once, Ryo said, "I know. Power Loader and I had also both bet on Kendo, so if it is her we'll have to split the pot three ways."

"The pot is still a few month's worth of pay from our teacher jobs," Sekijiro pointed out, "Even with the three way split." Given that Ryo was calling him out for trying to push the option that would win the pot, Sekijiro relented and called for the Izuku-Itsuka group to come over, along with the Yaoyorozu-Yosetsu pairing. "Midoriya, you're going to be swapping partners with Yaoyorozu," Sekijiro remarked, having Izuku now work with Yosetsu and Yaoyorozu now work with Itsuka.

As the pairs went off to do their work, Ryo said, "That's one of the few times I've ever seen or heard anything shameful out of you, Sekijiro. Seriously, how could you of all people stoop so low?"

"And betting on Kendo, no less," Hizashi replied, "When it's Yaoyorozu who's most favored to win as over half of the staff has bet on her."

Looking at Hizashi, Aizawa said, "You'll be in for a surprise when it turns out that Midoriya is crushing on Uraraka like how I'm anticipating."

Scoffing, Hizashi said, "There's no way that a boy with options like Midoriya is gonna pick Fat Gum's secret love child."

"Referring to Uraraka as Fat Gum's secret love child is something I'd expect out of Todoroki," remarked the underground hero in a dry tone.

"You... aren't gonna say anything about how it might be misconstrued as an offensive jab at Uraraka's weight?" Ryo asked.

Holding up his hands at shoulder level with the palms facing forward, Aizawa went on, "Trust me, Hizashi has said far worse things."

"Worse than saying that Uraraka is Fat Gum's secret love child?" Ryo asked.

"Wait, Uraraka is Fat Gum's secret love child?" Yosetsu spoke up, making the teachers all turn to see that Yosetsu and a somewhat exasperated looking Izuku were standing there, as if waiting to ask for something.

Gesturing to Hizashi, Ryo said, "No boys, Hizashi here merely came up with that, with Shouta saying it sounds like something Todoroki would come up with."

"He actually did come up with that," Izuku said, "And I had to explain to him that Ochaco is NOT Fat Gum's secret love child, much like how Shinso is not Aizawa-sensei's secret love child and how I am not All Might's secret love child."

"But you ARE All Might's child," Yosetsu pointed out.

Nodding once in confirmation, Izuku said, "Yes, I am his step-child, NOT his secret love child."

"Is there something you boys wanted?" Sekijiro asked.

"Uhh, actually there's something that cropped up in the news," Izuku began, "It's a currently breaking news story. Hawks and Majestic are fighting what appears to be an advanced model of Nomu over in Hawks's main patrol area."

"Hawks and Majestic are fighting a Nomu?" the teachers all exclaimed in unison. Sekijiro then called for everyone to drop what they were doing and reconvene in the main area of the 1-B dorm building, as there was a breaking news report going on right now involving Hawks and Majestic fighting a Nomu. The Class 1-A students were all alarmed, all of them remembering the Nomu from the USJ attack although it did nothing. With Sekijiro leading the way, everyone made their way over to the 1-B dorm building to watch the breaking news report.

...

Everyone was crowded in the living room area as Sekijiro turned on the TV. He changed it to the news to show a live on the scene news report. The news crew, filming from a helicopter, were showing Hawks, the new number one hero of Japan, fighting a Nomu with the aid of fellow top ten hero Majestic. Although both heroes were two of the best heroes that Japan had to offer, the Nomu, who looked like it had a hood-like frill around its head and face, was proving to be more than a match for Majestic and the new number one.

The Nomu tried going after a civilian on the ground, but Majestic used his quirk to make an energy disk to scoop up the civilian and zoom them away. Hawks then sent a storm of his feathers at the nomu, piercing its body and pinning it to the ground. Hawks then zoomed in and bent the ends of the feathers sticking out so that the nomu wouldn't be able to slide its body out from the feathers if it tried that. The nomu couldn't slide out, and additional feathers were pierced through its arms and hands to further pin it down, signaling that the nomu was officially caught.

People in the area who saw it, as well as many of those watching in the Class 1-B dorm building, all let out cheers that Hawks and Majestic had taken down and captured the powerful nomu. But the joy was short lived, as a number of villains came swarming in. From where he was watching the report on TV, Aizawa was able to tell that the villains were all thugs working for Endeavor. Although Hawks and Majestic were both top ten heroes, they were winded and somewhat hurting from their recent fight against the nomu.

And the thugs, who greatly outnumbered the two in the top ten, were all fresh.

Hawks was fighting at a slightly greater disadvantage because he had to use some of his feathers to keep the captured nomu pinned. Even so, he was able to fight back, and even took out some of the thugs. However, Hawks as well as Majestic both being occupied gave Endeavor himself the clear to go in and grab the nomu's head before blsting it with fire to intense it turned blue and carbonized the nomu's head, killing it and preventing it from being able to regenerate as many nomus had been reported on being able to do.

Hawks called out at Endeavor, who wore a version of his hero outfit that was now black with bulkier and more golden looking accents like the shoulder pads which were now spiked at various points. But the disgraced Flame Hero merely made a gesture with his hands, prompting two of his followers to strike at Hawks's arms, breaking them and rendering Hawks near helpless. Endeavor then rushed Hawks, grabbed him by his head, and flew up and over to a news helicopter so that it would see him as he said something to Hawks that sent shivers down the spines of many across Japan.

"...You're in my seat."

Endeavor then did to Hawks what he did to the powerful nomu, incinerate his head with flames so hot they turned blue, making Hakws scream in pain until the screeming suddenly stopped, then soon after Endeavor turned off the fire to reveal that Hawks's head had been carbonized. The former hero then dropped Hawks's lifeless body, letting it fall many feet to the ground, before turning to the news helicopter and casting a blast of Hellflame fire at it, making the news crew scream before the news broadcast cut off suddenly.

Everyone in the room sat in stunned, horrified silence at what they had just witnessed. They had no way of knowing if Majestic was going to live, as well as the fate of that unfortunate news helicopter and the nearby civilians. All that they knew was that Hawks, just freshly minted at Japan's number one hero, was now dead, and at the hands of a villain who claimed that Hawks was in his seat.

END, CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

Author's notes;

This chapter covers concluding the events of the previous chapter, seeing Dabi's followers chase off Endeavor's minions from 1-A working with kids. Samidare also displays that one of his quirks is New Order, making Toshinori realize that things are FAR graver than he ever could have imagined. Dabi's Crew then confirms that they are NOT behind the vanishing of the Yaoyorozu fortune before leaving. Mineta is returned to UA after being re-enrolled thanks to string-pulling by an influential uncle (more on that later) before the latest hero rankings are dropped with Hawks officially declared as Japan's new number one pro hero. But not long after he gets killed by Endeavor after Hawks and Majestic took down Hood.
