Review Shoutouts

The embodiment of Weirdness – I did say I would surprise you guys. But yeah, the days at school are going to be fairly interesting going forward.

The Storyteller993 – Glad my ambiguity is keeping you on your toes, but from here on out it's all gonna be one girl or the other. Of course, I have a special route planned but that'll be for last.

King0fP0wers – I don't think so really especially in context. I mean would all of that had been worth it if he had seriously gotten hurt or worse his condition deteriorated? But I guess in the end, it may just be a little bit hypocritical; so agree to disagree?

Trueopulence – Glad you've been enjoying, as for the Gamer System, as of now you could say his achievements in the "Friendship stage" are like passive bonuses to his abilities; like how he went from being a basic fighter who could take on Kazuko, to going toe-to-toe with a "debuffed" Margit. (That is with her eyepatch, and not her full potential.)

Now when he starts gaining their "Affection" is when he'll really start to take off. And with this route, it'll really be taking off.

LariatBlues – Hope I can continue to keep entertaining you. Hope you like the first love interest route here.

Majikoi – Love Me Seriously! – Momoyo Route

The Goddess of War – Part 1

Junior and Senior

May 7th, 2009, Kawakami City

For the short time I've been here, I've seen a lot of things, done a lot of things and met a lot of people.

But one person, has been on my mind more and more since I've been here, that being the talk of the town, Momoyo Kawakami; the Goddess of War herself.

Said to be the greatest martial artist of her age, some competitors not withstanding having an all-out fight with her. A certain old man in a butler's uniform comes to mind…

But despite her power, no one could deny she was a beauty that captivated anyone that saw her. And for some reason, I feel as though she's taken a quick liking to me, it feels strange really…

"Good morning… roomie…"

"Ufufu… are you finally remembering? ~"

"You better get stronger and popular… I'll be waiting…"

But then as those thoughts drifted I felt my eyes open as the sun beat down on me, but surprisingly I could feel my head being supported.

"Oh, you awake trainee? Aren't you a lucky one?" I was greeted by Momoyo, my head in her lap as she petted my head.

"Mmm, Momoyo? I must've fallen asleep during lunch…" I yawned out. "I guess you doing that made me think of you."

"Ooh, was it an awesome montage of me fighting and being awesome?" And there comes her want for attention then…

"Oh yeah, the lap pillow costs 5,000 yen for 30 minutes. Take it off my dent tab for me." Momoyo demanded.

"Haah, you and your ulterior motives… Even if I wanted to, I'm not deducting anything." I told her.

"Tch, then all of this was a waste of time? You know I'd never let just any guy use my lap for a pillow, probably besides Yamato maybe." Momoyo said now annoyed.

"Yes, I very well know that. It's the lap of the Goddess of Martial Arts, it's a holy and sacred place without a price." All of this while still having my head in her lap.

"So what'd you call me here for?" She asked. Oh yeah, I forgot in the moment.

"Show me your quiz you guys had." I told her as I put my hand out.

"Oh, I threw it away. But you'll know my grade was about… today's temperature?" She told me.

"That's failing you idiot!" I flick her forehead.

"It was in physics, and I hate physics. None of it makes any sense." Momoyo groaned.

"No, you simply hate studying, regardless of the subject." I corrected her.

"But's there health and Phys Ed classes! I know a lot about those!" She tried to gloat.

"Except those classes don't have quizzes and are based on attendance." I corrected her again.

She merely scoffed once more, "Who cares? I'm gonna mess with your ear…" With that she began to use her slender pinky to poke in and out of my earhole. It felt more ticklish then anything.

"Heheh… s-stop it… that tickles…" I couldn't help myself as her light touches traced the sides of my ear.

"Y-Your grandfather… hehe… told me to…get onto you, if you started getting bad grades. He thinks I can encourage you." I say with as best a face I can.

She then stops now insulted, "Ooh, stop it! Why do you have to take his side?" And there goes my lap pillow…

"I guess since I'm the closest of the group that lives with you two, he probably thinks I'm the better candidate. Besides, I'm just making sure, if he asks, I at least said something to you." I say with my hands defensively.

"Hmph! Like it's any of your business!" She drudges off in a huff.

"Nagamasa-san, you can't treat a girl like that, especially if she's your training partner, that is a most heinous crime indeed. Heheh." Aoi Touma suddenly appears.

"Dear god almighty, where'd you come from? And why are you even here?" I ask him.

Aoi then tries to work his own charm, "Momo-senpai, I believe I can bring a smile to your lips if you would kindly join me in the VIP section of the cafeteria for some tea."

Momoyo immediately shot him down, "Screw that. Now, if little miss cutesy over there is offering, then it's a different story."

She pointed to Koyuki, who innocently looked around seeing she was the only other girl around; Inoue Jun right beside her.

"Hmm?" Koyuki sounded confused.

"I'm talking about you, Yuki." Momoyo put her arm around the girl.

"Wah!" Koyuki cried out now trapped in Momoyo's grip, "Touma, I've been captured!"

"It's been a long time since I've seen anyone give Young Master the cold shoulder." Inoue pointed out.

"Anything should've possible in that calculation baldie." I pointed out.

Momoyo continued to ignore us, "Oh cutesy Yuki, let's leave these guys behind and get some tea."

"But I have Jun and Touma… plus… Naga too. They're super important." Wait, what?

Oh yeah, that one time where Koyuki said she remembered me back in the gambling den when Aoi and Yamato had their rematch.

"Hmm, what's your deal with Nagamasa?" Momoyo inquired.

"Mmm… I can't really tell, but he's important to me too." Koyuki answered.

"Eh? You know her Nagamasa?" Inoue asked shocked.

"Yes, yes… I'd never heard of this previous friendship of yours." Touma was surprised as well. Did they not hear Yuki introduce herself back at the den?

"To be honest… my memories are fuzzy, I do feel like I should know, but it just won't come out." I reply.

"I see, that does sound like quite the issue." Touma seemed in thought. "But even so Momo-senpai, we have a tight bond despite what you might think."

Momoyo sweetened the deal, "Let's get some daifuku. They're sweet."

That seemed to do the treat as Yuki seemed to jump for joy, "Oh, that sounds yummy. Let's go!"

"Hah! What was that about a tight bond again?" I say with a laugh.

"Yuki, you shouldn't go with strangers." Touma tried to warn her.

"It's all right. I'll be her escort, and take responsibility for anything that happens to her." Momoyo assured him.

"Yaay!" Yuki cheered.

"Don't be stupid, Yuki! Watch out, or she'll make you pay for it!" Inoue tried to warn her, but this only got him in more trouble.

"No asked you to talk, Baldie!" Momoyo kicked him, making Inoue somersault in the air.

"You go and find some place to make new jokes for the radio show… Now then, let's go Yuki." Momoyo tried to guide Koyuki.

"Mmm…" She looked to Touma for permission, in which he nodded allowing her to go.

"Yay! You too, Nagamasa!" Koyuki then pointed at me, beckoning me to join them.

"Eh, me?" I say shocked.

"Well unless you changed your name, hurry up! I ain't sticking around!" Momoyo said as she guided Yuki with her to the cafeteria.

"Is it just me, or is that Momoyo really interested in Nagamasa?" Inoue and Touma continued to speak even after the trio had left.

"Yes, indeed; after Yamato and Momo-senpai's little contract everyone thought they were as thick as thieves like brother and sister, but Nagamasa-san changed that; if anything it's made things quite interesting." Touma said.

I ran after them and the three of us enjoyed some sweets; the girls enjoyed their daifuku while I enjoyed some Mitarashi dango while all of us enjoyed some green tea.

And so for me and Momoyo things felt close, but there was some distance.

But for me and Yuki, it felt like despite he gaps in my memory; I felt there was still something…

Friendship with Momoyo – [70% out of 100]

Friendship with Koyuki – [? out of 100]

May 8th Friday, 2009, Kawakami

And so tomorrow finally came, one day as Yamato, Capt and I were discussing something we saw Momoyo running towards us.

"Oh, Yamato, Nagamasa! If it isn't my lil' bro and protégé!~" She said rather suspiciously happily, her ear to ear smile only made things more suspicious.

"She only acts like that when money's involved, watch out guys…" Kazama warned us. Plus, the group following her weren't her usual fans. More so various students.

"This is becoming a chore at this point." I say with a groan.

"But it's to be expected with her spending habits." Yamato added.

"You both are as cute as ever, yes you are… So, can I borrow some money?" Before she'd even uttered the word 'money' Kazama left and ran the other direction. That guy really is fast.

"What the hell did you do now?" I say annoyed.

"Who are all those guys?" Yamato asked.

"Oh, they're the people I owe money to." Momoyo confessed. "They said I have to pay them back something, or else. They've been following me around all day."

"Come back with my money!" I heard one person yell in broken English. I turned to see a foreign looking girl in a very… distinct headdress. Oh, that's the Koppou Club President.

"The due date for my repayment is fast approaching." Yaiba, the on-the-surface kuudere who appears aloof and cool, but deep down…

That and along with Fushikawa and Azumi which I'm shocked she'd even go to them of all people, or that they even trusted her to pay them back despite her reputation was quite something.

"Look at all these money-grubbers. People shouldn't be like that." Momoyo whined.

"Yeah, I feel sorry for them." Yamato commented.

"Right?" She thought he was on her side, how wrong…

I bonked her on the head, "He meant for them, idiot!"

"But if I beat them up, then they'll never lend me money again." Momoyo said.

"They probably won't anyway after this." I said.

"And neither will they if you keep running away." Yamato adds on.

Momoyo then slinked behind me, "Well anyway, I'm going to act like a beautiful maiden in an anime and hide behind the man. Namely, you."

"What do you expect out of us?" Yamato inquired.

"For starters, you guys get me out of this mess." She whispered.

"Wait, why should we handle your arrogant attitude?" I angrily whispered back. "Why don't you borrow from those fans of yours; I'm sure they'd happily give you something."

"Well, they're usually not around when I need cash on hand." Momoyo explains.

"Fine, fine; we'll be the adults in this and get them back off… for now." I answer.

"Good, that's my little protégé…" I could feel her rubbing my head from behind. This girl, I swear…

With that Yamato and I approach the group diplomatically, "So ladies, could we have a word with you?"

But the girls were still a bit upset to say the least, "Naoe Yamato! How will you resolve your sister's misconduct!?" Fushikawa demanded.

"Hey, we're just here to talk. No need to be aggressive." Yamato continued our diplomatic attitude.

"Huh!? What you plan on helping your master, Azai?" Azumi was even more annoyed.

I put my hands up in peace as I spoke first, "Look, look the grown child is gone, Let's be constructive okay?"

"Here's our proposal…" And so Yamato and I laid out our proposal to the group. After getting a tally of how much money Momoyo owed everyone we wrote it down and with my own money I made various down payments on their debts on her behalf.

This way she had to pay less for them, sure it meant a lighter wallet for me, but I know how to be frugal. Not only that, with some of their debts paid down that gave Yamato and I the space to ask for an extension on Momoyo's repayment date from one week to 2 weeks.

After an hour of negotiating and with that done all sides we're in agreement and as the "leaders" of this pack; Yamato shook hands with Kokoro and I shook with Azumi.

The group dispersed as the both of us breathed a sigh of relief, "Alright that's done, I'm gonna take this to her so she knows what's what. See ya later."

"You too man. See ya at the Friday gathering later!" Yamato waved me off as I left for the banks of the Tama River where I sensed Momoyo was there.

I saw her laying on the riverbank talking to herself, "A giant peach comes floating down the river ~ A girl comes floating down the river ~"

"Yeah in your dreams they do. Get up, Yamato and I were able to negotiate for your debts." I told her.

"Wow, you look drained my protégé."

"I am no thanks to you. I paid of a portion of your debts, so you only have to pay them for what's remaining. We also got the deadline to extend from one week to two." I tell her as I hand her the sheet of her remaining debts.

"Ooh, that's some nice negotiating skills, you might have as good a head as Yamato if you can help get those money grubbers off like that." Momoyo complimented.

"Well both our reputations are on the line now, so please for all that's holy just pay them back fairly. Oh, and before you say don't think of paying me back. I'm fine with it." I tell her.

"No, you spent money on my behalf. I at least have to repay you somehow." Momoyo seemed insistent.

"Really it's not a big deal. I've been exchanging a lot of the meal tickets I've been getting, that and Tesshin-sensei let's me trade in any of the recyclables I pick up to get cash back. I'm fine…" I insist to her.

"No, that's final. I'm repaying you. So what'll it be?" She too also seemed insistent.

"Hmm, fine… how about we go out to lunch together another time?" I ask her.

"Hoh, are you asking me on a date?" She asks in a teasing voice.

I ignore her as I reply, "N-not exactly…" But I could feel my cheeks heating up with her so close to me.

"Heheh, you all red. It's so cute, but now… it's off to the gambling den!" She proclaimed.

"Oh my god, just get a steady job! Or work odd jobs like Capt does!" I chided her.

"So it's back to the construction site… it's not as romantic as I wanted. But, if you insist." She gave up, but her smile quickly returned.

"At any rate, we don't have them to bother us anymore." Momoyo then hugged me as she whispered in my ear, "Good job…"

"Life for all us would be so much easier if you weren't so mischievous." I tell her.

"Hehe, is it that hard on you already? You need to watch out for yourself, okay?" She says innocently.

"If you worry about me that much, you'd think about what you're doing before you do it." I replied.

"Don't worry, I'll be careful…" She said.

"Famous last words of Momoyo Kawakami…" I said with a chuckle.

"Then to show my appreciation, I'm going to keep hugging you until you tell me to stop." She then falls on top of me as we both lay on the riverbank, the position almost reminded me of when she usually mounts Yamato, but the look in her eye isn't that hungry one I remember. It's more… relaxed.

But as we laid there, we eventually just lay on the riverbank side by side watching the water of the Tama River flow by; in such a short amount of time my mind had become consumed with the thoughts of Momoyo crowding them.

This bond of ours feels so strange; at first we feel like the closest of friends, yet at the same time there's this burning feeling deep inside my very soul…

It's strange… yet comforting, and inspiring.

And so in that moment, Momoyo had yet to let go of me as my thoughts drifted as I thought to myself, I could feel Momoyo's hand close to mine. So close, yet so…

"Naga, Naga… you okay? You were just looking up at the sky." Momoyo told me.

"Sorry, I was lost in thought…" I answered.

"You know we've been here for so long, if people passed us by they'd think…" I answered for her.

"That we're a cou– " But Momoyo put the kibosh on that one.

"That we're like some doting brother and sister?" Momoyo replied.

"Uh that's you and Yamato you know?" That excuse; I remember back how in the show it explained the conflict in Momoyo that she was afraid of change; afraid that if something drastic were to happen it would upend everything she knew.

How she wanted Yamato to be close to her, but that she refused to take that leap only hurt her even more as she thought the most important person to her was drifting away from him.

But even so… deep down I know this woman had a string drive, a string spirit. She sttod by her oath and promises no matter what. On the surface, she was the perfect warrior and someone you could trust.

But here… it's like a mix of it. She knows for a fact that people would assume a boy and girl being close like we were would be confused for a couple, but she ended that right then and there when I said it.

Is that because she doesn't see me as a viable candidate as a lover? Or more so she doesn't want that kind of change, or even the idea of that kind of change?

Momoyo Kawakami… an enigma, yet so obvious a person. A true mystery right now.

"Hmm, you went quiet again, what's wrong?" She asked.

"No, it's nothing. You can let go now, Momo-senpai." I asked her.

She chuckled, "Did you absorb all my voluptuous essence that you needed?"

"Haha, yeah. Ever since I started training like you girls, I've never been sick before." I said with a chuckle.

And now with a sigh she got up and stretched, "Hah, now it's off to work for me. It really sucks, but… I mean it really sucks, but…"

"Then stop borrowing other people's money and start saving. You'll find out it's not that hard." I tell her.

She threw a small tantrum as she left, "No! No logical arguments and responsibility! Anything but that!"

With that she headed off to her job she'd had at a construction site in Kawakami; even despite all those thoughts I had my mind; I just couldn't get Momoyo out of it.

"Momoyo Kawakami…" I said to myself as I sat there on the banks of the Tama River.

May 11th, 2009, Monday

All of the Kazama Family we're walking together peacefully on our way to school.

Momoyo yawned, more so from boredom, "I'm getting out of shape… So today's the day… Yeah, I'm gonna tease my little protégé. Heheh." She tried to put her arm around my shoulder.

But Yamato spoke up, "It looks like there's something else you need to take care of first."

We all looked ahead to see a martial artist approaching us, "You must be Kawakami Momoyo. I request a match!"

Momoyo laughed finally having a challenger, "Hahaha! Nice timing, my good karma's paying off."

With that both of them headed off towards the Tama River, already my phone was in my hand as I was speaking to one of the monks at the temple.

But finally having an opponent, Momoyo had a bounce in her step like a kid getting their favorite toy on Christmas day.

The martial artist then showed Momoyo a tattoo on his arm, "I ask you to behold this."

"Hm? Nice tattoo. What about it?" She asked.

"This is the mark of hero! In my country only the strongest can receive one!" The man proclaimed. "I have never met anyone stronger then me!"

Momoyo finally got worked up hearing that, "Oh… nice. You're giving me chills," Then she got serious, "Then let's get started! I'm Kawakami Momoyo of the Kawakami Temple!"

"My name is Muyacha! Here I come! Ultimate…" But he never finished his move as Momoyo kicked the air causing a small whirlwind to form picking him up.

"Hellboun… What!?" And so he was lifted into the air by the fast winds, and then just a quickly fell to the ground with little fanfare.

"Wow, amazing. Another one-hit victory." I said congratulating her.

"Hmm…" But it was quite obvious the buildup was nothing she was expecting.

"Are you really the strongest in your country? Is that it?" She went down to shake him awake, but he gave no reply.

"He's out of it. I already called the Temple, someone should be here shortly." I told her.

"Ugh… it's like…" Momoyo's annoyance was quite obvious.

"You still want to fight? That it wasn't enough?" I stated the obvious.

"No, not even close." She replied in kind.

"I want to fight more and more…" She complained.

"Well he's out cold, what do you expect from him?" I said.

"Oh, but there is one other person. One other that can be the outlet for my libido…" Suddenly she gained that same hungry look in her eyes.

"Wait, what!?" She then came charging at me throwing a great volley of punches, caught off guard the only instinct I had in me was to dodge the incoming blows, much to the shock of everyone else.

"He's actually Momo-senpai!" Gakuto exclaimed.

"She hasn't done this to anyone except maybe Yamato." Moro pointed out.

Eventually though despite her quick attacks she was only holding back, eventually one fist nearly reached my face but stopped short on purpose.

"Hah, what gives are you resisting me?" She says cooly.

"Sorry senpai, but I won't be some easy bait just waiting to be caught." I replied in kind.

"I wonder about that?" She said as she hoped back.

"Kawakami-style… Godly Wind Technique!" Suddenly a small wind torrent came through, but as I saw the wind was… blowing her skirt up.

"Wait, this is our chance!"

"No you fool… it's a trap!"

"An opening!" Momoyo then took her one chance she needed and suddenly I was at her mercy as she held me in an armbar.

"Damn it, I screwed up. I should've known you would've used some underhanded tactic like using your skirt!" I said.

"This is your punishment for resisting, today I'll give you a full course!" She then pulled my arm further as it now dug into her bosom, but then Kazuko to the rescue she yelled out.

"Hey big sis, there's a really pretty girl up here!" Wanko screamed.

"What!?" Momoyo released my arm, as I breathed a huge sigh. By the time I came to and made it back up to the bridge, Momoyo was gone.

"Well that was something…" I said while scratching the back of my head.

"You okay Nagamasa?" Wanko asked.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine. I just didn't expect her to pop off like that." I stated. "Maybe her interest in girls is stronger now-a-days."

"That's not true. I guess it's just… there's no guy really there to challenge her or interests her." Wanko replied.

"Challenge… or interest eh?" And so my mind wandered as we all headed for school, hopefully Momoyo comes back eventually.

It was lunch and the guys were chattering…

Most of it was nonsense about how they thought Spring was the season of love, but then mixed their own perverted topics into it.

I suppose the only wholesome one was Kuma-chan, but he was… unique.

"Oh Kuma-chan, that sushi bar you told me about was to die for. All their rolls and sashimi were amazing!" I told him.

"I know right?! Their portions are much better then typical restaurants around the area. So after I'm done with my sushi I'll take some of their entrees to go and even then that's excellent as well." Kuma replied.

But among all of the other stuff, that was the only good one.

"There go the creeps being creepy again." Chika said in disgust. "Meanwhile look at Kazama and Minamoto."

Kazama was reading a book, while Gen was sleeping peacefully. Poor guy, always works and still goes to school only to sleep here. Makes you wonder if he sleeps at the dorm at all.

"Oh yeah Chika-chan, I finally got around to it… Tada!" I pulled out a small box, and inside was some extra slices of homemade lemon pound cake I made myself.

"Oh, is that cake?" She asked.

"Yeah, I made it myself. The icing is made from lemons the Temple gets from a provider they work with." I handed her a slice. As she enjoyed it, she seemed to let it melt in her mouth.

"Amazing, this cake isn't just sweet, but it's moist as well. It's so good!" Chika cheered.

"Mayo-chan, here's some for you too." I handed the class-rep a slice as well. She happily munched on it.

"Mmm, it really is good!" She gave it the same grade.

"You really are the spitting image of the type of guy I'd date Nagamasa-san! Are you… dating anyone?" She asks suddenly.

"Ahaha, no… no not really." I reply with a slight blush.

"Are you available during this weekend?" She continues on.

"I'd have to see what my schedule is for the weekend, even we have some morning training before we're let go." I tell her.

"Then here's my number. Call me or mail me when you're available. Oh, and here's Mayo-chan's number too!" She gave me the class rep's number too.

"C-Chika-chan, w-why…?!" Mayo was taken aback.

"Mayo, this could be your chance. If he calls you or texts you that means he's interested." Chika whispered in her ear, causing the tiny class rep to blush.

Meanwhile with the pair of Miyako and Kazuko…

"Everyone's talking about something I don't understand all that well." Kazuko complained.

"Right? There they go again… But that Chika… she's putting moves on Nagamasa… I won't forgive her. But if I act up, everyone will bother him… it's all a big pain…" Miyako complained.

"I don't really get love." Kazuko stated.

"I love Yamato… and Nagamasa." She whispered the last part. "See, look at this notebook."

Kazuko chuckled, "Ahaha! It only has 'Yamato' written inside… eh? What's this… Eow!" She was flicked in the head.

"W-What was that for?!" Kazuko whined.

"For looking at something you weren't allowed to." Miyako went into her mother mode. What was she hiding?

After the last page she wrote on was Yamato, the rest were now written with Nagamasa's name all over them; over and over again.

"I wonder… is it too late to start this new romance and have it come to fruition?" Miyako thinks as she stares intently at Nagamasa's back.

"Hmm… I feel a hard stare on me, like a curse. Is that Miyako?" I didn't dare turn around.

But even so despite all the… "guy talk", I couldn't help but have my thoughts wander to thinking about Momoyo again, I was starting to get more and more conscious of her as the days rolled on.

Momoyo… just why her?
