Pokémon: Sinnoh no Isekai
Chapter Two-hundred and sixty: Sinnoh Lore Quest, part two
The reborn trainers, still in Sinnoh, were continuing their quest to catch all of the legendary and mythical Pokémon of Sinnoh region lore. At this point, Dawn, Kenny, and Trip had between them all of the necessary Pokémon aside from Cresselia, Heatran, and Regigigas. Right now, the reborn trainers were in Canalave City. They were there because they were hoping to find a way to get to Fullmoon Island, where they hoped to find and potentially capture Cresselia. After that it'll be a hop, skip, and a jump over to where they expect to find Heatran in Stark Mountan.
"Maybe someone at the port can give us a lift over," Mina reasoned as everyone was at the local Pokémon Center, "I mean, if we knew where the island itself was, we could have just flown over on our dragons, but we don't know where the island is so chartering a boat it is."
Kenny nodded in agreement as he saw Dawn checking things in her on hand party. "What are you up to, Dawn?" Kenny asked.
"Considering our next target is Cresselia," Dawn began, "And Cresselia is the counterpart of Darkrai, I figured having Tobias on hand may help with bringing Cresselia in, if only because it's wanting to see why Darkrai is around."
Trip, a look of sudden realization on his face, turned to look at his sister. "That's actually good thinking, Dawn. Cresselia will be wanting to show up if Darkrai's around causing trouble."
"Tobias will not be 'causing trouble'," Dawn said firmly, "At least not actively and intentionally. Hopefully it can, passively and without meaning to, do enough to make Cresselia show up."
...
After the reborn trainers were ready, they took off from the Pokémon Center to head on down to the port in Canalave City. As they neared the port, they saw a sailor come out of a nearby house, a worried look on his face. He lit up with hope when he saw the reborn trainers however. "Hey, Champion Dawn!" the sailor called out, making the reborn trainers take pause so the sailor can jog up to them.
Seeing that the sailor sought her out specifically, Dawn asked, "Can I help you?"
His expression relenting a bit, the sailor explained, "My young son is the latest in a series of children here in Canalave City to have fallen into a slumber from which he can't be woken from. All such children are noted, however, to be sleeping contentedly, as if all of them are having the most wonderful dreams. It's a relief that at least the children are at ease, but the many parents, myself included, are worried they may never wake up."
That actually caught the reborn trainers by surprise. In the games in their previous lives, the children suffer from nightmares they can't awaken from, and it takes going to Fullmoon Island to get a Lunar Wing from Cresselia, thus triggering Cresselia being a roamer across Sinnoh, in order to resolve everything. This time it's the same thing but the children are stuck in blissful, sweet dreams-filled slumber. Is Cresselia somehow overclocking it and causing the trouble that, in the games in the previous lives of the reborn trainers, was (at least strongly implied to be) Darkrai's fault?
To the sailor, Dawn spoke up, "I actually brushed up a bit on the lore of Sinnoh, and what you described to me sounds like it's potentially the legendary Pokémon Cresselia overclocking its soothing dream powers."
Folding his arms over his chest, the sailor said, "You think so? Wait, I'm kind of familiar with an old story that's similar to the legend you're describing. It ought to be Darkrai causing trouble with nightmares, rather than Cresselia causing trouble with sweet dreams."
Dawn took out one of the balls holding one of her on hand Pokémon and tossed it up, calling out her named Darkrai in the process. "Darkrai is right here, and it won't be up to any trouble while under my comm-"
*CRASH*
Dawn was cut off when she and the others heard a crashing sound come from a ways away, in a nearby public park with a good number of trees. A few people came running from that direction, with one person screaming something about Team Scorn showing up. The instant that they heard that Team Scorn was present in Sinnoh, the reborn trainers had to abandon their quest for Cresselia for the time being in order to focus on dealing with the multi-regional criminal organization having stepped foot onto Sinnoh soil.
A mistake made by Team Scorn that Dawn was fully intending to make all of them regret.
Over in the public park area, the reborn trainers rushed onto the scene and saw, to their surprise, that Cresselia itself was fighting off a number of Team Scorn owned Pokémon while floating above a small crater. Seeing that crater made Kenny think that Cresselia may have been the one to crash down and cause the panic, although he also reasoned that Team Scorn was the guilty party behind making the legendary Pokémon crash down into a public park located in Canalave City. Although hurt a bit from the crash and outnumbered, Cresselia was able to hold its own.
Looking around, the reborn trainers soon spotted a uniquely dressed Team Scorn member. He looked to be a young adult male, fair skinned with yellow blonde hair with the bangs covering one of his eyes. He wore a yellow long-sleeved dress shirt under a long-sleeved dark blue dress top, dress pants matching the dress top, and shiny dark blue dress shoes. He also wore a dark blue dress tie, and he wore his Team Scorn insignia patch, yellow heater shield with a dark blue Team Scorn 'S' over his left pectoral. It was above two yellow buttons on the dress top, and down along the right side of the dress top there three more yellow buttons in a vertical row.
Standing next to this uniquely dressed Team Scorn member was a female Team Scorn member dressed in the standard grunt uniform, although she struck the reborn trainers as being older than the uniquely dressed member she accompanied. She was fair-skinned and had fairly long dark hair that was combed slash brushed back. Upon spotting the uniquely dressed Team Scorn member, Kenny called out to him, "Oi, tall blonde and stupid! What are you and your bum-buddies here doing to that there Cresselia?"
The uniquely dressed Team Scorn member turned to look and see that the reborn trainers had shown up. "Feh, figures the men and I would have the rotten luck of running into Dawn Berlitz and her companions, we did get intel they were in Sinnoh." Gesturing to himself, the uniquely dressed Team Scorn member said to the reborn trainers, "I'm First Captain Hirata. The lady next to me is my Captain's Assistant, Yuriko. We're on a job here in Sinnoh to track down the legendary and mythical Pokémon of Sinnoh, and wouldn't you know it, we found Cresselia."
"Why is it that Team Scorn is after the legendary and mythical Pokémon of Sinnoh?" Dawn asked, her suspicion up.
"Because intel we got tells us that you and your companions are after them," Yuriko replied, "If we take one and keep it away from you, then whatever it is you're aiming to do that requires gathering them all will be stopped. This is an order that our Admin got from Boss's Assistant Ayane when the info was given to her, an order passed down from the Boss's Assistant to our Admin who then passed it to us."
The reborn trainers scowled in unamusement; so Team Scorn somehow caught wind of how Dawn and the others were aiming to gather all of Sinnoh's legendary and mythical Pokémon, and Ayane wants one of the ones Dawn's group didn't get yet and essentially play keep away. Dawn cast a glance at Cresselia; it was still holding its own fairly well, but Dawn still felt it prudent to help save Cresselia. "Kenny, Mina, you two go fight the rank and file to give Cresselia some breathing room," Dawn said, "Trip and I will fight Hirata and Yuriko here to keep them off your ba-"
"No! Leave my mom alone!"
Dawn was cut off by, to her surprise, a young boy's voice. Suddenly, a boy who looked to be around the same age as Bonnie and Max came running up and stood next to Yuriko while glaring at the reborn trainers in total unamusement. He was fair skinned, had shaggy light brown hair that reached his chin but the hair was pressed down by his dark hot pink sherpa hat with brown tassels and a white poofball on top, a yellow baggy t-shirt with a Team Scorn heater shield insignia, dark blue with a yellow Team Scorn 'S' over the chest, baggy dark blue cargo shorts held up with a belt, yellow socks, and dark blue shoes.
Yuriko looked surprised to see the kid run up to join her and Hirata. "Tony, it's too dangerous for you to help me and the Captain complete our mission," Yuriko said, sounding just like a mom acting purely out of concern for the safety and well being of her child.
"Well this is just swell," Kenny scolded, "Not only do adults with children join Team Scorn, but their kids follow them into it!"
"Yuriko's son Anthony," Hirata began, "Although he commonly goes by Tony, isn't an actual member of Team Scorn. But we are helping with raising him."
Pointing at the reborn trainers, Tony scowled, "You guys are mean, trying to stop my mom from doing her job! I won't let you get in her way!" Tossing up a Pokéball, tony called out, "Go, Swirlix!"
"Go, Hatterene!" Yuriko said as she sent out her first Pokémon.
"Go, Greedent!" Hirata said as he sent out a Greedent.
"Kenny, you go save Cresselia," Dawn said, "Trip, Mina, and I will cover these three!" Kenny nodded in agreement as he ran to battle the grunts harassing Cresselia, leaving Dawn, Trip, and Mina to battle Hirata, Yuriko, and Tony. "Alright, Tobias! Let's get goin'!" Dawn called out as she sent in her named Darkrai.
"Alright, Natalya!" Trip called out as he sent in his named Copperajah, "Let's kick some butt!"
"Go, Garvedoir!" Mina said as she sent out her Gardevoir. Pointing forward, Mina said, "Gardevoir, use Psychic on Swirlix!"
"Tobias, use Sludge Bomb on Hatterene!" Dawn called out.
"Natalya, use Iron Head on Greedent!" Trip ordered.
"Greedent, use Bite on Copperajah!" Hirata commanded.
"Hatterene, use Dazzling Gleam on Darkrai!" Yuriko called out.
"Swirlix, use Protect!" Tony said.
Swirlix put up a protective barrier that saved it from getting blasted hard by Gardevoir's Psychic. But that was the only safe measure Tony's side had; his mom's Hatterene was knocked out by Dawn's named Darkrai, its Sludge Bomb going through Dazzling Gleam and blasting right into Hatterene, and Hirata's Greedent was taken down by Trip's named Copperajah. Hirata and Yuriko called back their fainted Pokémon and sent out two more, one for Hirata and one for Yuriko. "Go, Cloyster!" Hirata called out as he sent in his Cloyster.
"Go, Gardevoir!" Yuriko said as she sent out her own Gardevoir. Pointing forward, Yuriko said, "Gardevior, use Shadow Ball on the enemy Gardevoir!"
"Cloyster, use Razor Shell on Copperajah!" Hirata ordered.
"Tobias, use Dark Pulse on Cloyster!" Dawn commanded.
"Natalya, use Iron Head on the enemy Gardevoir!" Trip called out.
"Gardevoir, use Psychic on Swirlix!" Mina called.
"Swirlix, use Tackle on the enemy Gardevoir!" Tony called out.
Dawn's Darkrai was the first to go, its Dark Pulse striking Hirata's Cloyster and knocking it out. Mina's Gardevior was able to blast Tony's Swirlix and knock it out, but it got hit by Yuriko's Gardevoir's Shadow Ball. But then Trip's Copperajah slammed down into Yuriko's Gardevior and knocked it out. Hirata, Yuriko, and Tony recalled their fainted Pokémon, and while Yuriko had run out of Pokémon, her son Tony sent out a Stantler, whereas Hirata sent out a Hitmonlee. "Hitmonlee, use High Jump Kick on Copperajah!" Hirata called out.
"Stantler, use Stomp on Gardevoir!" Tony ordered.
"Gardevoir, use Moonblast on Stantler!" Mina called out.
"Tobias, use Psychic on Hitmonlee!" Dawn commanded.
"Natalia that's enough, get back!" Trip called as he swapped his Pokémon around a bit, "Alright, Akibot 966! Let's kick some butt!" Taking the place of Trip's named Copperajah was his named Golurk who, being a partial ghost type meant that Hitmonlee's High Jump Kick now aimed at it would miss, meaning Hitmonlee was set to take some very painful missing recoil. ...If it had endured Tobias's Psychic that is, which it didn't as getting blasted by Psychic made Hitmonlee fall to the ground and hit it hard, knocked out before it could even attack.
As for Gardevoir versus Stantler, Mina's Gardevoir one-shot Tony's Stantler before it was able to hit back. Tony recalled his fainted Stantler while Hirata, scoffing in annoyance at the reborn trainers, recalled his fainted Hitmonlee. "I guess this means you guys win," Hirata said, clearly annoyed, "But things aren't over yet." The Team Scorn members who were present, when Hirata called for it, all withdrew from the area, their efforts failed as the leadership was beaten and many of the grunts (over half of them) were also beaten by that point.
Although they couldn't keep Team Scorn from fleeing, the reborn trainers were able to keep them from taking Cresselia. Speaking of, Cresselia when it saw Dawn's named Darkrai conjured and cast a Moonblast at it, but Tobias blocked it with a Sludge Bomb. "Hey hey hey, watch it, Cresselia!" Kenny said, "Dawn's Darkrai there ain't a threat! It actually helped fend off the jerk humans who were being a threat!"
Cresselia, after considering the situation, relaxed a little but still kept its guard up a bit around Tobias. "Anyway Cresselia," Kenny said, "We need to-" Kenny stopped shot when Cresselia collapsed from pain and exhaustion, making the reborn trainers worry. The reborn trainers picked Cresselia up and carried it off to the Pokémon Center to be treated.
...
To the relief of the reborn trainers, Nurse Joy said that Cresselia was just hurt and tired from fighting off so many enemies. As Cresselia rested, the reborn trainers were able to explain to it that they needed to catch it because of how they're needing to catch every legendary and mythical Pokémon of Sinnoh lore. Cresselia made it clear it did not want to go with Dawn, who had Darkrai in her corner. Surprisingly enough, Kenny was the one who ended up catching it. Like the other legendaries that he and the others had caught since coming to Sinnoh, Kenny didn't name Cresselia right away.
After Cresselia was treated and sent to Oak's lab, Kenny said, "Well that's another one down. Now we only have two left."
"Yeah, but we got it that Team Scorn is in the business now as well," Mina said, "Mostly because Ayane wants to play keep-away without actually knowing what it is she's trying to keep away from us."
Shrugging, Dawn said, "To be fair, we don't exactly know what it is either that lays at the end of us catching all of the legendary and mythical Pokémon of Sinnoh."
Pounding a fist into his hand, Trip went on, "Hence why we need to go find Heatran as soon as possible and keep Team Scorn from catching it!"
After they handled business in Canalave City, the reborn trainers took off for Stark Mountain, where they figured Heatran would be found based off of knowledge from the games from their previous lives. Even flying overhead, the reborn trainers already saw members of Team Scorn milling about, trying to get into the cave that was in Stark Mountain although there was some rock that needed to be busted away. Dawn and the others all landed then made their way up to confront the members of Team Scorn who had come to Stark Mountain.
"Well now," Dawn called out, "What do my friends and I find when we came here to Stark Mountain but a bunch of you guys?"
"Do not think that we can be so easily trifled with, young lady," a firm older male voice called out, making Dawn and the others turn to see a uniqely dressed member of Team Scorn come walking up to confront them. They were surprised to be greeted by a mountain of a man; he looked to be the same height as Lt. Surge, and somewhat more fair skinned although Lt. Surge was noted to have something of a tan. But this tall man had long black hair, a little bit on the bushy side, with a topknot right on top of his head, and a small black bushy goatee on his chin.
He wore a men's traditional kimono, yellow with dark blue highlights, a pair of dark blue wooden sandals with yellow leather straps keeping them to his feet, and a dark blue cloak over his shoulders. His Team Scorn insignia patch, a dark blue heater shield with a yellow Team Scorn 'S', was on his men's kimono over his left pectoral. The large man was accompanied by a female Team Scorn grunt who looked to be late teens or very early twenties; she was fair skinned and had long orange hair, but not much else was known because she had her gaiter mask up.
Kenny cast a glare at the large man in the unique Team Scorn outfit. "You must be the officer leading the peons here."
"A rather boorish term to refer to the men under my authority, but yes," the mountain of a man replied. Gesturing to himself, the large man said, "I am Second Captain Houki. The young lady next to me is Akemi, my Captain's Assistant."
"You guys friends with Hirata, Yuriko, and some kid named Tony?" Mina asked.
"Yeah, and Yuriko's son is the sweetest little kid ever," the now identified Akemi replied.
Houki nodded once in agreement. "They and us belong to the same Sector, yes. I presume you kept them from completing their objective."
"Yeah, we kept them from scooping up Cresselia," Kenny replied, "And now we're here to keep you from scooping up Heatran!"
Houki's eyes narrowed out of suspicion. "You must be well informed if you chased the rumor's of Heatran's whereabouts here to Stark Mountain. Very well. It would seem either way that neither of us will allow the other party to leave Stark Mountain without battle. Let us see if your few numbers can match up to the many numbers that I had brought here with me."
At Dawn's gesturing, Trip and Mina went to deal with the Team Scorn grunts while Dawn herself and Kenny kept Houki and Akemi occupied. "Alright, Kurumu!" Dawn called out as she sent out her named Groudon, "Let's get goin'!"
"Okay, Hoodini!" Kenny called out as he sent in his named Noctowl, "Let's make it cringe!"
"Go, Persain!" Akemi said as she sent out a Kantonian Persain.
"Go, Wailord!" Houki called out as he sent out a Wailord, making Dawn glad the battle was taking place outside given the sheer size of Wailord. But despite the massive threat that a Pokémon of Wailord's size can pose, Dawn and Kenny weren't worried. Especially as Kurumu underwent Primal Reversion, becoming Primal Groudon in the process and seeing Drought become Desolate Land, triggering a harsh sunlight weather condition.
Pointing forward, Dawn called out, "Kurumu, use Earthquake!"
"Hoodini, use Aerial Ace on Persain!" Kenny ordered.
"Persain, use Pay Day on Noctowl!" Akemi commanded.
"Wailord, use Water Spout!" Houki called out.
Wailord tried to use its damaging water attack, but the sweltering heat and harsh sunlight evaporated it before it could be done. Regardless, Kurumu's Earthquake struck before Water Spout could have anyway, striking both Wailord and Persain with Persain being knocked out as a result and Wailord just barely hanging on by a sliver of its health. A sliver taken down and defeating Wailord when Hoodini's Aerial Ace struck it because Persian went down before Hoodini could hit it. As for Hoodini itself, it was not struck by Kurumu's Earthquake due to being a partial flying type.
Houki and Akemi recalled their fainted Pokémon and sent out one more each; Houki sent out a Sharpedo and Akemi sent out an Alolan Persain. "Persain, use Pay Day on Noctowl!" Akemi called out.
"Sharpedo, use Crunch on Groudon!" Houki ordered.
"Hoodini, use Aerial Ace on Persain!" Kenny commanded.
"Kurumu, use Brick Break on Sharpedo!" Dawn called out.
Kurumu ended up being the quickest, chopping down right onto Sharpedo with Brick Break and knocking it out before its Crunch could land. Not even the smidgen of damage Kurumu took from triggering Sharpedo's Rough Skin ability mattered. As for Hoodini versus Alolan Persian, Hoodini struck it with blinding speed although it was struck on its side by Pay Day. Akemi's Alolan Persain was still in it, but it went down when it was struck by Kurumu using Fire Punch. With Alolan Persain defeated, both Houki and Akemi had been bested by the reborn trainers.
Houki scowled bitterly, especially when he looked around and saw that a lot of the Team Scorn grunts there were bested already. The mountain of a man turned to look at the reborn trainers as he recalled his fainted Sharpedo while Akemi recalled her fainted Alolan Persain and went about trying to collect the cash that came about due to the use of Pay Day. "It would appear that things here at Stark Mountain are ultimately going to end in failure for Team Scorn," Houki said, "As such, I see little option for my men and I other than for us to withdraw from here."
"Yeah you be-" Kenny began, but he was cut off when a damaged portion of wall along the mountainside burst open from within, sending rock and bits of molten rock flying. The men of Team Scorn, unprepared to deal with both hostile enemy trainers and... whatever was bursting out of Stark Mountain... all took Houki's advice and ran from Stark Mountain. By the time the last of the grunts were seen running away from Stark Mountain, the reborn trainers saw it as the legendary Pokémon Heatran had come stomping out, crying out in annoyed anger.
As Dawn and Kenny called back Kurumu (who reverted back to normal) and Hoodini respectively, Trip said, "The fighting out here, plus some residual effort from the seismic waves from that Earthquake attack, must have woken Heatran up and made it easier for it to bust through the wall of the mountainside here." Taking up one of the Pokéballs that held one of his on hand Pokémon, Trip said, "I got this one, guys. A powerful partial steel type like Heatran will fit right at home in my rotation."
Dawn gestured towards Heatran while looking at her brother. "By all means, Trip. Have at it."
"Alright, Tsunade!" Trip said as he sent out his named East Sea Gastrodon, "Let's kick some butt!" Pointing right at Heatran, Trip called out, "Tsunade, use Earth Power!"
The named Gastrodon made the ground under Heatran erupt with earthen energy and power, blowing up into Heatran's underside and scoring a fair bit of damage. Heatran retaliated by conjuring and casting a Flash Cannon at Tsunade. Although hit and hurt fairly bad, Tsunade was able to ride it out thanks to resisting steel attacks. But Heatran's power was no joke, even with the fact that Trip held a type advantage. It just goes to prove the power of Pokémon that are commonly thought to exist only in the depths of a region's lore.
Trip called for Tsunade to hit Heatran with another Earth Power, and not only was Heatran hit but it looked like it took more damage this time. Trip didn't think Tsunade's second Earth Power Scored a critical hit, so he guessed that the first one had lowered Heatran's special defense. Trip didn't have a lot of time to contemplate on that as Heatran fired a Flamethrower attack at Tsunade, striking her and knocking her out despite how she resisted fire attacks. Again, the power of Pokémon from lore. Trip had to call back his fainted Gastrodon and send out another Pokémon.
"Alright, Mr. Popo!" Trip called out as he sent in his named Magmortar, "Let's kick some butt!" Pointing forward, Trip said, "Mr. Popo, use Thunderbolt!" Mr. Popo, as he gave off a bit of chuckling that sent shivers down Mina's spine, conjured and cast a Thunderbolt that struck Heatran, dealing notable damage to it. Trip was figuring that the second Earth Power from Tsunade had scored another special defense drop on Heatran. Additionally, the Thunderbolt in addition to dealing a good chunk of damage to Heatran had also paralyzed it as well, making capturing Heatran easier.
Heatran opened its mouth to attempt to use Flamethrower, but paralysis kicked in and kept it from attacking. Trip had Mr. Popo use Thunderbolt again, and the named Magmortar was struck by a Flash Cannon when Heatran was able to fight through paralysis. But Mr. Popo wouldn't be brought down low easily, and a third Thunderbolt from the named Magmortar made Heatran collapse onto its side. Trip took the oprotunity to take out an Ultra Ball and throw it at Heatran. The Ultra Ball took Heatran inside, fell to the ground with a light clink, and shook for a bit before making a ping sound, indicating that Trip had caught Heatran.
As Trip collected the ball that held his newly caught Heatran, Mina let out a relieved sigh. "Now all that's left for us to catch is Regigigas."
"Which we technically can't catch as the Pharaoh of the Pyramid had already caught it," Kenny pointed out.
"Kenny's got a point," Dawn said, "We're going to have to meet with Pyramid King Brandon to have discussions on us getting Regigigas from him, if only long enough for us to get whatever the 'ultimate key' is to let us unlock the power that will help us stave off the foretold region wrecking threat." The reborn trainers decided to continue their conversation at a Pokémon Center back on the mainland of Sinnoh, as Trip had an exhausted Magmortar and a fainted Gastrodon. There's also Heatran who is worn out and paralyzed to deal with. But Heatran had been caught.
The reborn trainers have nearly all of Sinnoh's legendary and mythical Pokémon.
A few days later Dawn had her Ultra Class battle with Bertha in the World Coronation Series and won rather handily, seeing her rank go up even more. When later that day the reborn trainers were celebrating Dawn's victory, Mina looked surprised as she was checking something on her phone. "Oh, Pyramid King Brandon had just busted his way into the Ultra Class in the current season of the World Coronation Series," Mina remarked.
Dawn looked as if her interest had been piqued. "Does it say where Brandon is now?"
"No, sorry," Mina replied, "However, it also lists a number of trainers who had also recently busted their way into the Ultra Class. Ideku, Rimu, Marnie, Nina-"
"Ah, so my rival Rimu had busted his way into the Ultra Class as well," Kenny said, "I need to do so myself if I'm to have a chance to have an Ultra Class battle against him."
"It's also pretty neat that a lot of other guys we know made their way in," Trip remarked.
Dawn had a concerned scowl on her face. "...We still need to find Brandon, though. Given that he has Regigigas, we'll need to work something out with him so that we can have all of Sinnoh's legendary and mythical Pokémon between the lot of us."
"What has me concerned is the fact that Team Scorn tried to play keep away," Kenny said, "We don't even know what lays at the end of collecting all of what Sinnoh lore has to offer, and yet Team Scorn tried to play keep away to keep us from getting to it anyway."
Turning to look at Dawn, Mina asked, "So what now?"
"Well we ought to keep an eye out for Brandon," Dawn replied, "But there's also continuing to keep up in the World Coronation Series." Looking to Kenny and Trip, Dawn said, "You both ought to work on battling your way into the ultra Class." Kenny and Trip both nodded in agreement, and thus the heroes felt just a little bit more at ease. Even though there's some serious trouble brewing that necessitated the reborn trainers needing to find Brandon the Pyramid King, for the time being they had to all of their focus on keeping up with the current season of the World Coronation Series.
In time, they'll meet up with Brandon eventually. He's in the Ultra Class now, same as Dawn. It would be only a matter of time before they meet up with the Pyramid King, and then they would be able to try and reason with him so that they could, if only temporarily, get Regigigas from him. Hopefully he won't be flat out impossible to reason with when the time came.
...
In an undisclosed location in Sinnoh, a Team Scorn grunt walked up to two men sitting at a bar in what looked like a secret base. The first man was fair skinned, had somewhat short light greenish hair, and he wore a long sleeved long coat that was yellow, a dark blue belly warmer visible because the coat above the waist was open also revealing the first man wasn't wearing a shirt, a dark blue sash tied around the waist, and dark blue boots.
The second man wore a yellow top that was open in the front and the sleeves reached halfway down his forearms, a dark blue sash around his waist, a pair of yellow shorts, and sandals. He also wore a simple round straw hat with a yellow band around the base, the hat pressing down against his raven hair. Both men had their Team Scorn insignias on the backs of their tops they were wearing.
The grunt approaching these two saw that the first man was drinking from a barrel mug while the second man was eating some meat. "Umm, sirs," the grunt spoke up, getting both men to perk up and turn to face the grunt.
"Ehh?" the first man said, sounding more annoyed his drinking was interrupted than anything else, "What is it?"
"Well, here's the thing, Admin's Assistant Kazuya," the grunt said, "I just got reports from Captains Hirata and Houki. They... both failed in their respective missions."
Scoffing, the now identified Kazuya said, "I'd figured that shithead Hirata would screw up, but Houki as well?"
"Oh come on, Kazuya," the second man said, patting Kazuya on the back in a friendly manner while speaking in a casual 'oh come on, man' kind of tone, "There's no need for you and Hirata to keep harshing on each other like you've been doing." Getting up from the seat he was in, the second man said, "Well, I'll have to send a call to Boss's Assistant Ayane to tell her the bad news. We also ought to focus efforts on trying to secure Regigigas."
"But Admin Pirate," the grunt said to the second man, identifying him as Admin Pirate, "Regigigas is currently in the ownership of Pyramid King Brandon of the Kanto Battle Frontier."
Smirking, Pirate remarked, "Well now, never let it be said I couldn't figure out how to solve a challenge." Pirate then proceeded to walk away, but he turned back quickly, grabbed the rest of the meat he was eating, then turned around again to walk off. "Almost forgot this," Pirate said before taking a bite out of his meat.
END, CHAPTER TWO-HUNDRED AND SIXTY
Author's notes;
This chapter covers the reborn trainers getting Heatran and Cresselia, meaning all that is left for them is to collect Regigigas. But that will be easier said than done as Brandon the Pyramid King already has Regigigas. Additionally, new members of Team Scorn show up to try and prevent the reborn trainers from collecting all that Sinnoh lore has to offer, despite no-one (not even the reborn trainers) knowing what lays at the end. The reborn trainers have no choice at the moment but to resume work on the current season of the World Coronation Series, with Kenny and Trip having to focus on upping their ranks to break into the Ultra Class. But while they dream of glory, Team Scorn's Admin Pirate has plans involving Regigigas. Things will continue next time, but until then take care.
