Eliza was enjoying having her uncle Henry home she had missed him dearly, he was always around back in 1864 and she knew her father would be happy that he was still by his daughter's side.
Elijah and Henry got along great they had deep discussions about books they had each read while Eliza snickered at how passionate they both would defend a book.
Jenna would come over on her days off school and even after her school days to spend time with Eliza and would enjoy seeing the debates as well as she sat at the kitchen table working on her dissertation to finish out her school year.
Jeremy and Anna had started dated and despite the issues between her and Pearl they so far had no issue being together.
Damon would come over at random times and Elijah had had a stern talk with him to make sure he understood about Nik before he came home.
He had understood and respected Elijah explaining that although they had been together and engaged in 1864 he knew her heart belonged to the original and he was forever just going to be there for her as one of her closest friends.
Jeremy still hadn't talked to Eliza about the fact he wanted to be a vampire he wasn't sure how to approach the subject.
It was two days later before he chose to ditch school on a Friday and headed over to Eliza's.
He didn't have to bother knocking very select few were allowed to just walk in when they wanted.
As he entered the house he saw Elijah sitting in his arm chair reading across from another gentleman.
"Hello Jeremy,"
"Hi Eli am I interrupting anything?,"
"No not today, Jeremy may I introduce Henry Mackenzie, he is Eliza's uncle from 1864,"
"Woah, she must be so happy to have you back, it's nice to meet you Mr. Mackenzie,"
"You too young man,"
"Jeremy here is a Gilbert,"
"Oh, nothing like the crackpot right?," at that comment Jeremy and Elijah laughed knowing who he was talking about.
"No, nothing like him. Eliza pretty much raised me if anything i'm more like her,"
"Oh god that's worse," he joked making them all laughed even harder.
Eliza came downstairs at the sound of all the laughing and loved seeing her brothers and uncle getting along.
"Shouldn't you be in school young man?,"
"Busted. I came to see you sis need a talk,"
"Come on upstairs," she gestured for him to follow her.
Entering the library upstairs Eliza closed the door, not that it mattered she knew Eli and Henry could still hear them it was just out of respect for her brother.
"What's up you never ditch these days unless it's serious,"
"So I was with Anna a couple of nights ago at the house and I cut my finger on purpose to entice her to feed from me,"
"Oh Jeremy that was stupid,"
"I know she said the same thing that she could have killed me,"
"She could have but she knows I will kick her ass if anything happens to you,"
"She said that too," he smirked seeing Eliza smile too at the fact they thought the same.
"I did it though because...well...I want to become a vampire,"
"Excuse me?,"
"I want to become a vampire,"
"Jeremy the life of a vampire isn't easy, and you are still young have you truly thought this through?,"
"Somewhat, it's why I came to you,"
"Well I'm sending you to Elijah, he was turned young too he can better explain things to you,"
"Thank you sis for not straight out turning me down,"
"Well considering Jenna wants to be turned too it doesn't surprise me. Now I will send Eli upstairs to talk to you stay here," she said standing up making her way out of the library meeting Eli in the hallway.
"I will make sure he is well informed of everything,"
"Thank you brother," Eliza smiled as Elijah made his way into the library as she headed back downstairs.
Sitting down on the couch she turned on the tv to a random movie as she enjoyed how her life was turning out.
