#355 - Food (Milkshake)
"I never got the joy of a milkshake." Aoi watched as Eve's eyes closed as she took a deep sip of her chocolate milkshake.
Eve's eyes opened as she kept on gently drawing on her straw. She finally allowed her lips to remove from the plastic. Swallowing. "I don't believe it. You Aoi have the sweet tooth to end all sweet tooths. How can you of all people not love the sweet taste of a milkshake?"
Aoi shrugged. "Perhaps I haven't found a flavor that I care to suck into my mouth."
Eve burst out in laughter.
Aoi looked questioning at the the blonde across from her.
"Just don't say that as you are ordering any food or drinks." Eve couldn't get a hold of her laughter.
Everyone in the diner turned and, looked at the laughing blonde.
"Why not?" Aoi shrugged her shoulders. "It's the truth."
Eve wiped the tears from her eyes. She got herself under control; and realized how many eyes and ears were directed at their table. Leaning forward. "Trust me Aoi. Don't say that in public." She looked seriously into her girlfriend's eyes.
Aoi's confusion only rose. She sighed. "I don't understand what I said wrong?" Her lips lowered into an frown.
Eve reached her right hand to cover Aoi's fist resting on the table top. "Hey Aoi. You didn't say anything wrong. Just we are at the age now that even an innocent child's statement can be read as innuendo."
Aoi's eyes widen. Heat rose in her cheeks as she thought about what she had said. "Oh."
