I'm writing this announcement for one reason: Screw you reviewers.
Yeah, fuck you. I don't need the constant reminder that my story is not "original" or "unique". I don't need your opinions on what I should or shouldn't have done. It's MY story. Don't like it, don't read it. Fuck off.
Imagine my surprise when over half my reviews are about people bitching about MY story. If you're that upset, irritated, or angry, write your own reaction fanfic. No one is stopping you from doing so. Channel that frustration at not finding what you wanted to read into writing what you want to read. Why do you think I'm writing this in the first place? Don't come bitching in my reviews about being disappointed because you don't agree with the premise of my story.
The disparity between the comments I get on AO3 and the comments I get here are so staggering. I'm not asking you to worship my story like it's the next best thing since sliced bread but complaints are the last thing I asked for. I wish I could block the review section, or delete comments from both guest and registered users but unfortunately, doesn't allow that.
Perhaps I should just delete all my stories, or just this one, and stick solely to AO3 where I know I can moderate my comments. This entire experience just grated on my nerves.
Once again, from the bottom of my heart, go to hell with your unsolicited opinions.
