This is me enjoying my favourite fancanon from SRMTHFG! Papa!Antauri.

I won't be doing all of the episodes, I will skip some of them, mainly because I never really found myself interested in them or I feel like they don't fit in with my story.

This is an AU of my SRMTHFG universe, because, in this AU, Kai is not Chiro's biological sister, instead she is a robot monkey like the rest of the Monkey Team and she is biologically related to Antauri, as you will see here.

I do not own SRMTHFG, or it's characters, however, I do own Kai.

Now, let's began...

Antauri flew through the rain, as fast as he could, holding a precious bundle close to his chest. He didn't have much time left.

He had been more devastated by Mandarin's betrayal than the rest of the monkey Team knew, because it had permanently derailed a lot of his personal plans. He glanced down at his precious bundle, he had been so close to revealing a secret that he had been keeping for more than five years and Mandarin had ruined it.

He reached the outskirts of the city and he headed for a pod that Gibson and Otto had built, it had been a challenge to convince them to build it without revealing the reason why.

If Mandarin haven't betrayed them that day, then Antauri could have told them his secret and watched them as they grew together as time passed.

He landed by the pod as his bundle wriggled and a small head popped out from it. "Papa?" The young one asked, before she yawned. "What's going on? Why have we left the robot?"

"Nothing is wrong little one." Antauri said before he gently tested his chin on the helmet of the smaller robot monkey. "Just... go back to sleep for me..."

"Okay." The little monkey yawned again, before she snuggled up to her father and she fell asleep, again.

Antauri entered the pod and he headed for the bed in the middle of the room, laying the child down in it. He gently rearranged the blanket so that the young monkey was completely covered in it from the head down, before he tugged her into the bed with the quilt that was lying at the end of it.

He gently kissed the top of the child's helmet. "I'm sorry, my little one." He said as he pulled away. "But this is the only way to keep you safe while I'm gone."

He looked at his child's face, memorizing every single piece of it, the closed sapphire eyes, the patches of white fur that were slowly growing on her forehead and her cheeks, the silver markings that were developing under her eyes and her smile.

Even in her sleep, with no idea of what was going on, she was still smiling, dreaming an innocent dream.

Antauri placed his paw on her forehead and he closed his eyes, connecting with her Power Primate, there was so many ideas running through his head, he could seal away her memories, hide her behind a glamour or just leave her as she was...

But his duty as her father meant that even if it hurt her, he had to protect her.

Antauri sighed.

He was so confused, maybe it would be for the best if he just let her be herself.

"Goodnight Kai." He got up and he was about to leave the pod when he heard a sleepy reply.

"Okay, goodnight Dad."

He turned around, tears where starting to build up in his eyes, to see the sleeping form of his child cuddling the stuffed monkey that he had made for her when she was born.

A few tears fell from his eyes, before he forced himself to walk out of the pod, sealing it behind him.

He slowly typed in the codes that would activate the suspended animation function of the pod.

And once he knew that it was online, he flew away, back to the robot, and for what awaited him there... Good or bad, he didn't know...

But he did know, that one day, he would see his child again.
