Chapter seven:

"Now you have a fun day at school." Fuyumi insists as Kyouya hesitates at the door.

"Are you sure that you're going to be okay alone today?" Kyouya asks getting a wave off from Fuyumi.

"You worry about me so much. Don't sweat it okay? I'll be perfectly fine I promise." Fuyumi chuckles warmly with her ditzy looking caring smile on her face.

Kyouya lets a small smile escape himself at the sight. He lets out a breath before extending one arm out. He doesn't even need to say anything as Fuyumi hurries over. His arms wrap around her in a brotherly hug; One that he saves only for Fuyumi to be able to experience. He knows he is awkward with hugs however she seems to be happy with them either way.

"You're the best sibling in the world Kyouya. I hope you know that." Fuyumi informs him and Kyouya lets out a soft brief chuckle.

"I can take the title of Best brother. You win the award of best sister." Kyouya mentions sharing a warm sibling smile with the other.

The two pull away from the hug after a few moments, and with a see you later exchanged Kyouya finally heads out.

The twins manage to keep their cool acting normal, luckily their training has helped with that, until the day where the contract will be announced.

Kaoru is sitting in the living room facing his parents.

Hikaru wasn't allowed to attend though is using a secret tunnel in the mansion to listen.

"Kaoru." Their father clears his throat. "You have your target. This is your target." He hands Kaoru a picture which shows to be not Kyouya but a woman instead.

Kaoru is relieved though he doesn't let it show.

"Her name is Fuyumi. She is wanted dead by the one who ordered the contract. Which I expect you to fulfill. One way or another. You have also been given special instructions that are option though pay extra. It's simple really. Just a small request of letting the male of the household find her body. Making sure it's him who sees it first. The client wishes for her death to torment this man by him discovering her. If you're not comfortable you can just kill her, however I must say that doing the optional task is better than skipping it. This side task can be done easily by leaving the body where he'll find it. Then leaving the scene. At least in my opinion."

Kaoru nods his head softly looking over the picture before looking seriously at his father. "When should I head out?" He inquires to his father who smiles at this.

"You'll be heading in two days. This contract needs to be completed in four days. This will give you plenty of time to prepare."

"I won't let you down." Kaoru assures his father.

"I know you won't." Their father looks proudly at Kaoru. "I have a planning room that includes the map of the mansion, information on any staff there, and some information about Fuyumi. Just what will be needed to complete the contract. Nothing more. Visit it when you're ready."

"Thank you father." Kaoru dips his head in thanks before hurrying off.

Hikaru sneaks away hurrying to celebrate with Kaoru that the target isn't Kyouya.

Once the two are gone their father frowns.

"You won't tell him. Will you?" The twins mother questions and their father sighs heavily not turning around.

"Of course not. How could I tell him?" Their father points out not looking to his wife even when she puts an arm around him. "I just hope that he'll take my advice and leave before the body is discovered. Or else he might never forgive me." His head lowered to stare at his knees.

"He might find out anyways." Their mother mumbles sorrowfully.

"If that does happen we can remind him his duty to the family. With our blood shared in his veins he must continue his duty. He doesn't have to forgive us. An extra reminder about this job might also help. A target can affect us, however we must have the strength to continue onwards despite this." Their father raises his head to look out of a window. "I just hope that I've trained him well enough that he will succeed with this."

"Im sure you have." Their mother places a kiss on her husbands cheek. "I know you usually keep the one wanting the contract anonymous, but would you at least tell me who ordered such a hit? I mean this hit doesn't seem like a normal one. The details reek of another scheme boiling beneath it. They don't want this kill for the sake of the target being dead. They're planning to use her death in someway. Possibly to gain an upper hand in something."

"What people do after the contract is over isn't our business. Unless it affects us directly. So that isn't our concern, though I understand your curiosity. I do know who exactly ordered the hit. And I also do believe I have some ideas about why they may have ordered this hit in the first place. As some sort of revenge like strike against the male of the house, just in a way that'll really send some kind of message. The one who wants this is someone I have never thought I'd be making a contract for. And who I doubt I'll be making another one with." Their father explains as their mother leans closer to listen. "The one behind it is..." He whispers it to her and she gasps when he is done.

"You can't be serious!" The twins mother covers her mouth with her hand.

"I am." Their father sighs and their mother lowers her hand.

"What in the world could be the purpose of this hit? To gain some sort of deal? To put fear into the family's hearts? The sweet satisfaction for revenge of whatever?"

"Could be any of those options." Their father gently cuts his wife off. "It's not in our job description to ask those kinds of questions. We do the job then move on to the next part of our lives. Remaining on the sidelines as whatever may transpire afterwards happens. I'll remind Kaoru to not get between what will happen afterwards if I need to. I doubt he needs to be reminded if I am completely honest."

"Yeah." Their mother lets out a breath laying her head on his shoulder. She giggles as he turns to plant a kiss on her head.

"Things have been set into motion. It's too late to back out now. We'll just have to sit back and watch what happens. Hoping that things go for the better result after the hit is finished." Their father points out getting a sound of agreement from his wife, who keeps her cheek against his shoulder so they're both looking in the same direction.
