Phase 8: Zombie Chow
The next day comes with the trio getting ready to go for the final key and leaving the safe room behind. "Time to get going," Jack grabs his carbine to check the ammo counter. The trio is going through the dead ship with their weapons drawn out to head for the dining room which is in the 1st class section of the cruise ship. "Time to go to the high roller's club," Jack said lightly.
"Yep, it would be too rich for my blood," Elza said to hold tight to her shotgun.
"Come on E, you got to live the good life sometimes, you know," Rachel said holding onto her Uzi Pro to check the corners of this tight hallway.
"I like to live within my means, people shouldn't blow out too fast for my taste," Elza said.
"Sure, I get it," Rachel said.
"Seung, we are getting close to you. We will stop this lab within this ship and find your base," Jack said as the three US agents were in the thick of the ship with the researcher laughing at them.
"Oh, I know but I have cards I haven't played yet," he said to cut off the speakers for they entered the high-class section to see a bunch of Aqua Lickers hanging on the ceiling.
"More of these beasties," Elza said.
"Better mow through them and head for the dining hall," Jack said as they fired their weapons with the Aqua Lickers leap at them. They duck down to avoid their slashes as they bounce off the walls to avoid their gunfire.
Jack tosses sonic grenades as they let out a high-pitched sound and the Aqua Lickers fall onto the floor to be in deep pain from their ears getting ripped apart by high pitch overwhelming their senses. The girls put several rounds into each of their heads to kill them off to clear the way.
"Stop them from reaching the dining hall," Seung said on the Undertaker's radios for one of the Undertaker engineers to set up an auto turret armed with a machine gun. The four see the turret in one of the hallways for it spits .50 Cal rounds that tear up the walls.
"Crap, auto turret," said as they leap into another room for the wave of bullets to block their path.
"Better go another way," Elza said as they went through another door to see another turret for them to move into cover. The bullets are flying above them as the turret slowly goes down to point at the floor. The trio rolls behind a piece of debris as the bullets are cutting through them with ease.
They split up as Rachel finds the Undertaker Engineer and blasts it with her Uzi Pro pumping hot brass into its chest and killing it instantly.
Elza ducks to avoid the wave of bullets as she tosses a shock grenade to stun the auto turret. She destroys the auto turret with a few well-placed shots from his KS7 shotgun.
"Elza," Jack said as they reached her for they heard the other turrets stop firing.
"I'm okay but that Engineer was annoying," Elza said as they heard more Undertakers coming their way armed with MPXs and PM-5s. The two sides exchanged gunfire with Jack going through the rooms to outmaneuver them with Elza and Rachel holding them back.
Jack is blasting away enemy soldiers with his shotgun as he ducks under a passing grenade. He goes for his pistol to pop several shots to take out three more soldiers to go back to another auto turret. He tosses a stick grenade to latch onto the turret and takes it out turning it into a scrap heap destroying the last one.
Rachel is sniping targets in the head with her bolt action rifle taking out Undertakers with ease. Elza goes in to tackle a charging Undertaker to put pistol rounds into the chest to put it down.
Jack blows the head of the last Undertaker as the way is cleared for they are within the 1st Class section for it too was trashed beyond belief.
"This ship is a constant nightmare," Jack said.
"Indeed," Elza said as they heard something coming their way.
"Shit, those Undertakers," Elza said as the walls were torn apart by bullets as they hit the deck. Elza is peppering the walls with her machine pistol.
"Time to strike, get her at once. She will be perfect for the Angel experiment," Seung said on the loudspeakers with the 5 Undertakers coming in holding their rifles and machine pistols. They move in with inhumane precision with the trio spreading out while Rachel spits out a barrage of bullets to hold them down.
"What is the Angel experiment?" Rachel asked.
"Well, it's a personal pet project. You will be injected with a new virus strain to make you young and beautiful forever. Others were injected but all besides one died. The one is Megan who is mutated and tends to wander in the ship seeking people to harm," Seung said.
"I will not be your doll," Rachel said as she fired her machine pistol for the Undertakers were bouncing off the walls. They are wielding their machine pistols to pull a stream of bullets trying to hold them down.
"Oh no, you are the perfect woman for me. I need to preserve your beauty and youth, you will learn to like it in time," Seung said this made Rachel's spine shiver for she was firing her sniper rifle.
They go behind cover as one of the Undertakers tosses a stun grenade to catch them in the blast to deafen their senses. One of the Undertakers kicks Rachel to knock her onto the ground to see she has blacked out.
"Rachel," Elza said as the humanoid BOW slung the tall blond girl over its shoulder to quickly disappear within the hallways with the others still fighting her off. "Crap, Jack the Undertakers took Rachel away," she said ducking under a crate for the Undertakers to go away she grabs the shotgun off the floor to sling it on her back.
"You got to be fucking kidding me," Jack said as Seung laughs at them.
"Too bad, the golden beauty is mine and she will be my new wife in the new world forever," Seung said on the loudspeaker.
Suddenly a big roar echoes throughout the hallways. "What the hell is that?" Jack said as suddenly a wall of debris burst violently to saw a tall lanky female who was disfigured and had tremors all over her body while wearing a dirty white gown that was ripped up.
"That is my Angel, she was a failure in taking the new virus strain but she will be useful in taking care of you," Seung said on the loudspeaker the Angel was rushing through the halls to smash through the remaining Undertakers heading for Jack.
"Oh great," Jack said as he started to run away to start blasting the creature with his rifle for the 5.56 rounds to cut into her flesh but nothing was stopping her.
The Angel is roaring at Jack like a wild animal with Jack sliding under a wall of debris to keep going with the Angel smashing through the wall of junk with ease. He keeps firing until his rifle is empty and the mutant woman is left unharmed.
"You got to be kidding me," Jack said as he pulled out a bunch of flash grenades and tossed them at the Angel. The grenades let out twin blasts of light to blind the Angel for he slips away to put his weapon on his back.
He manages to find the slender blond waiting for him holding a shotgun that just recently killed off an Ooze. "Jack, thank goodness you are okay. This place is a nightmare," Elza said.
"Indeed, it is. We need to get the key, then we go find Rachel and kill this son of the bitch," Jack said as Elza nods her head.
"Don't bother, I have relocated my perfect specimen to an area you can't find," Seung said on the ship's loudspeakers.
"Come on," Jack said as the duo went deeper into the dining section trying to find the key.
"We need better weapons to deal with that thing," Elza said as they went through the hallways with Jack holding up his carbine.
"Yeah, I bet we can find something handy around here," Jack said as suddenly an Ooze slammed through the door to grab onto Elza making her drop the shotgun.
"Oh shit," Elza said as she is trying to push back the zombie back but she is struggling to hold it back.
Jack punches the infected in the head to knock him onto the floor and shoots the head a few times until it disappears into a bunch of goo.
"Thanks, Jack," she said to grab the fallen shotgun.
"No problem," he said as the duo went into the hallway for them to hear Angel's moaning as she smashed through a wall.
"The girl has come to town," Jack said as the lumbering girl was tackling through groups of Ooze heading for the duo. They run away while they shoot back at her but nothing is stopping her.
"She is built like a tank," Elza said as they made a turn for Jack to toss his last flashbang to blind her to make her stop chasing them. "We should be near the guest rooms," she said.
"Good," Jack said as a lone Undertaker came in to block their way to aim his rifle but Jack managed to fire his gun first and cut through its head killing it instantly. Jack checks the fresh corpse to find ammo for his weapon and a C4 sticky bomb.
"Oh crap, she is coming again," Elza said as the Angel is running at them with her screams echoing throughout the hallways.
"Back away," Jack tosses the C4 on the floor to pull out the trigger as the monstrous girl is just near the bomb. He sets off the trigger for the explosion to make a big hole to make her slip up and fall the big hole several floors down.
"Good thinking," Elza said as they went into the guest rooms. Jack looks up to see a mounted hunting double-barreled rifle on the wall.
"Must be a prized treasure of a rich asshole," he thought to check to see if it has .700 Nitro ammo with one in each barrel. "Elephant gun, this will be handy against that Angel," he said slinging it on his back as they go into another room to see the last key is there.
"Finally, we can get the lab and save Rachel," Jack said as they have all three pieces that will let them unlock the way to the labs.
"Indeed," Elza said as they heard a familiar scream that echoed through the empty hallways.
"Oh no, the big girl wants to come out and play," Jack said as the wall burst open to reveal the tall lanky female humanoid to let out a painful cry of rage.
"What do we do now?" Elza asked as Jack fired his SG 553 for the 5.56 rounds cut into her flesh but it only enraged her to charge at them like a wild bull ready to rip them apart.
"We need to fight and put her down," Jack said as he fired his automatic weapon to rip into her chest to leave holes in her dress but no damage was done to her body.
"Well hope we don't become bloody pancakes," Elza said as she fired her shotgun filled with slugs to hit their marks but the female mutant was rushing forward without pause.
"We need a better area to fight," the duo goes off to run away from the Bioweapon as several Undertakers try to stop the duo.
They go into another room with the Angel tackling the group of Undertakers to kill one of them via impact. They opened fire on the monster girl and the bullets barely did any damage. Elza noticed a few shock grenades on a dead Undertaker.
"These can come in handy," she said as she took them and put them into her bag.
The Angel grabs the head of an Undertaker with her huge hand and crushes it with her raw strength. She then tosses the broken body into a group of Undertakers for them to roll out of the way to open fire on the beastly young woman.
The group of highly trained BOWs was holding off the beast but nothing is working with the current weapons they have now as she smashes through the squads of enemies for the duo to go into another classroom.
Suddenly the Angel smashes through the walls to grab desks and chairs to toss at them. They duck and roll out of the way for them to get out of the room. "She is blowing through everything we throw at her," Elza said as they saw they were near the swimming pool area.
"Perfect, into the pool room," Jack said as the duo went into the vast room to see the blue-colored room with a large pool in the middle with doors that go to locker rooms and storage rooms.
"Wish I had my bikini," Elza said in a joking manner for the roars from the Angel were getting louder until they got hit in a hard tackle to knock them into the pool room. Jack drops his double-barrel hunting rifle in the room as they get onto their feet.
"Shit," Jack said as he aims his rifle to fire into the monster but he gets hit by Angel's long forearm knocking him to the ground.
"What do we do?" Elza asked.
"Get that bitch in the water, we are going to fry her," Jack said as he tries to get up feeling his body is quite sore from the strong impacts.
"Okay," she said as she ran from an incoming punch from the Angel. She drew out her FN57 to pepper the skin of the mutant with her pistol. The bullets cut into the skin but have done no damage as the monster leaps at the young woman.
Jack goes for the hunting rifle as Elza is trying to not get hit while shooting back. She drops the empty magazine and slips in a fresh new one to duck under another punch. Angel smashes both palms onto the floor to let out a shockwave that stunned Elza.
Angel grabs her with her big meaty hand and flings her across the room to barely miss going into the pool of water. "Elza," Jack sounds worried as she slides into a chair.
"I am fine, sort of," Elza said as the lumbering Angel approached her with her disfigured face etched with pain and disgust ready to rip Elza in half.
Jack finally managed to grab the double-barrel rifle to hold onto the grip tightly ready to fire on command. "Got it," Jack said as he got into a shooting stance with him crouching to aim for Angel's arm.
"Jack, do something," Elza said as she was firing her FN57 pistol for it only made the Angel angrier. Elza rolls away as she barely dodges a ground pound.
"Hey Angel, I hope you like a good swim," Jack shouted to get Angel's attention. She turned around to see Jack firing his elephant gun with one of the huge bullets coming out of the rifle with a thunderous crack that echoed throughout the room. The sheer recoil made him back away a bit as the round hit Angel's shoulder to have enough power to sever the arm from the body.
"You did it. Jack, you managed to hurt her," Elza said looking happy about this as the monster gripped her arm. The Angel's severed arm slot was violently leaking blood on the floor. She gets away fast to not get infested blood on her person.
The monster is moaning and shrieking in agony as she falls into the pool to struggles to get out of there. The Angel's blood is rippling into the clear water starting to make the pool shine red.
"Time to give her shock treatment," she thought as she lobbed all three shock grenades from her GL-06 into the pool for the triple bursts of electricity shocking the beastly young woman. The moans become roars of rage as she leaps out of the pool to land on the floor.
The Angel's skin is roosted from the intense electrocution and her gown is ruined to leave her naked to show how badly her body is taking the abuse of the combat. She unleashes a deep bellow that shakes the whole room to tackle Elza.
Elza manages to escape the tackle to head for Jack as she leaps onto the floor. Angel turns around for she makes eye contact with Jack as he gets his aim onto her head. "Chew on this," Jack fires the last .700 Nitro round for it makes its mark to smash into her head. The head explodes to leave nothing but an exposed neck slot with blood squirting out of it.
The Angel collapses onto the floor to be finally dead. "Hot damn, that was crazy, a perfect 10 shot," Elza said as Jack holds onto his shoulder for it feels very sore. "You okay?" she asked.
"This recoil kicked my ass but it did the job too well," Jack toss the rifle away. "Let's go to the bridge and get into the secret lab," Jack said as he switched to his carbine for the duo to head for the bridge to rescue Rachel and find the secret lab.
