Ch29: The Mysterious Assailant
(In E.U.)
Leila is currently talking with General Smilas in regard to the announcement that made by Zangetsu-Shin.
"What were you able to find out?" Leila asked.
"It looks like Zangetsu is telling the truth…" General Smilas responded grimace. "The few medical clinics that we have are trying to deal with E.U. soldiers who are infected, but unable to fight off the vines sprouting out of them."
Leila also knows the effects Helheim's disease might do on victims after learning from Akito's accounts. The sight of those means something is going to get worse. "We might need to convince the councils in order to accept his help. I can imagine worse if we just simply ignored our countrymen's suffering." She said with a serious expression.
"For once I agree. Not only he countered against Cornelia's force. But he and his Black Knights fend off against the Chinese Federation." General Smilas said. "But that decision will be left up to the Council."
Leila nodded. "What do you imagine Britannia's response to it? Or what do you think the Emperor's response might be?" she asked.
"That is hard to tell…" Smilas replied thoughtfully.
(In Euro-Britannia)
'M-Anya' is currently holding a small phone device which has a recording of Zangetsu-Shin giving out an announcement about the Inves attack in E.U. at the moment. She looks at the mask that her "son" wore right in front of the television at the very moment.
The fact that he is here in the E.U. was truly an unexpected surprise to her. Once again, he surpassed her and Charles's expectations. However, 'M-Anya' realized what her son's action would likely mean as he trying to obtain a connection with the E.U. and make this nation an ally to the Black Knights. That will further problems for their own plan if he succeeded.
"I guess that we will see each other soon…" 'M-Anya' whispered before turning to glance at something in a nearby bag.
A Genesis Driver was seen buried in the clothes that were contained within the bag.
"Very soon… I will deal you myself, Lelouch…" She whispered with slightly insanity expression across her face.
(Play GET MY FUTURE!)
(Instrument) The song begins with a full view of ruin building in Japan before the scene started with a ruined building with Zangetsu standing watching over the Tokyo settlement when the sun is set before the entire scene was replaced with the title.
Kodoku ni yureteru Emotion
The scene began with Lelouch yawning as he lay on the schoolyard as he thought about his past before Ayano appeared behind him which caused a scene of him being chased by Ayano around.
Itsu demo jidai no hadō ni nomikomarete
Unknown to them, Orpheus was chuckled at the scene with amusing before he and Akito spotted each other. The two stares at each other before they went on their separated paths with their Lockseeds in their hands.
Samayotteta setsunai kokoro
In his room, Rai holds tightly on the Orange Lockseed as a memories of young girl flash in his mind. Soon the screen turns toward Gaim and he holds tightly on his Daidaimaru while looking at the viewers.
Just One Nation kizanderu I.D.
The scene changes to Helheim forest and shows Jam with a dark aura.
Doko e mo ikenai jibun ga
Suddenly the scene changes to Japan starts being covered by Helheim forest and Inves began their invasion. This cause many civilians to begin to start running for their life, though Britannian soldiers try to fight against Inves, they soon got overwhelmed by the number of creatures in the forest.
Modokashikute kuyashikatta
Soon the scene changes to the Black Knight headquarter as the operative members monitor events going on.
Sore demo yume ni miteta
As the Inves got closed to them, Lelouch and his fellow Riders got out their Drivers. They soon locked their Lockseeds into their Drivers before they transformed and charge into battle.
Haruka tōku taiyō no shizumu oto ga suru
The Lancelot Club is seen race across the field while taking out large Inves and Britannia Knightframes at the same. Soon the scene focused on Zangetsu running at incredible speed slashing through Britannian soldiers and Inves alike while explosions occur around him.
Ano basho e yukō Sekai no hate made
Suddenly he becomes Zangetsu-Shin before getting out his Sonic Arrow and delivering a powerful slash to destroy an unknown Knightframe.
Dare yori tsuyoku naritai Jibun rashiku aru tame Dare ni mo yuzurenai Passion Ashita wo ikiru tame
Habakiri did a spin slash with her dual katanas; Ryugen fired several shots with his gun; Baron spins her Banaspear and thrust it forward; Kurokage spins his weapon; Knuckle pounced his Kurumi Bombers together.

Soon a Britannia airship dropped bombs on the city and caused the Riders to struggle in pain until Zangetsu-Shin shows up and destroyed it with his Finisher. The scene changes when Zangetsu-Shin and Jam spotted each other before they clashed with each other as sparks fly everywhere.
To Be Free
The scene changes to Lelouch and Ayano were walking together, then they turned around facing the screen, then it zooms out revealing Rai, Kallen, Nunnally, Orpheus, and Akito along with several members of Black Knights.
Within the military headquarter, the sound of painful screams could be heard as every bed had European citizen who was exposed to the Helheim virus that the Inves inflected onto them. It seems like there were nothing the E.U. native doctors or fellow countrymen could do for them as there are completely helpless and despairing expression spread across their face.
This disease was something that they never had come across in their life. Not even the studies that they learned prepared them for how to treat their own citizens.
It is hard to believe that they were too weak to be able to bear the most painful operation that was committed by the White Genesis Rider.
"If the arm is too infected, the only way is cutting down the limb that is infected and disposing of it with fire," Zangetsu-Shin explained simply in his small operation for those who were willing to bear witness to the action. "If you are hesitant for too long to cut the infected limbs, the virus will spread at an incredible speed and the victim reach… the point of no return," he said bitterly as he stared at them. He is aware that Leila Malcal was among of the group who gave a calculated look at the event after the E.U. Council agreed to a temporary alliance between the E.U. and his service.
The leader of the Black Knights wasn't surprised by the decision that they made which is acceptable until the E.U. managed to drive Britannia off their land. And now he was called forth to help the E.U. doctors and military staff on how to take care of the ones who are infected.
"Is it truly the only way to stop the virus from infecting the rest of the body?" One doctor inquired as calmly as possible.
"We have shared close call with our own shared number of victims as we bound the infect wounds with metallic bind that exposed to external heat source whenever the infection tried to spread." The leader of the Black Knights spoke.
"External heat like what?" The doctor asked.
"Hot Irons that are used for clothes, a primary useful tool to suppress the virus from spreading. The virus isn't going to leave unless we're brave enough to do something about it." Zangetsu-Shin said, making those in the audience look surprised. It was fortunately, Rakshata and other scientists also work on special collars or metallic bondage that can take in external heat to help suppress the infection.
"Now, who among you is brave enough to face this task in order to help your fellow countrymen?" he asked, looking at them with careful gaze through his visor. He knows that there is some waver among those who witnessed his brutal explanation about how to handle the infected ones. "If you don't have what it takes… then you could kindly step down and leave through the door." He said, making them look bewildered at them.
Leila was the first among the crowd who stood up from her seat to move toward Zangetsu-Shin before looking at everyone who was slightly stunned.
"What in the world are you doing sitting there for like children?" Leila questioned sharply and seriously. "The leader of Black Knights is here to help us with fending against these monsters who have the potential of destroying our own nation if we don't take action. It is true that we might have to inflict crucial pain, but I believe we will find the cure for their illness. All of you swore your duty that you have to uphold to take action, or are you going to stand there and watch as bloody cowards?" she questioned to them.
'Not bad, Leila Malcal…' Zangetsu-Shin thought impressively as she got the rest of those who were in their chair to stand up from where they were sitting.

"SILVER SQUASH!"
The Yagi Inves was impaled by Kamuro who thrust his staff into the gut of the Inves and made the monster explode in a flash of light. He then turned around to see how others were doing.
Elementary Inves swarm in the street way as E.U. civilians are currently on the run from the sight of them. But it wasn't until red energy shots were fired at the Elementary Inves in the process from a distant support.
Jord can be seen on top of an abandoned phone booth while firing her Jord Arrow—a large crossbow gun as red energy blasts hit the Elementary Inves that were swarming toward her direction after the civilians were evacuated from the scene. However, more Inves came in their fallen brethren's place and causing the irritation of Jord to increase.
"Damn, these pests just keep coming!" Jord hissed in frustration.
But it wasn't that long until a Komoi Inves tried to attack her from the air as the Inves easily dodged the incoming shots in the way.
"COME ON! EGGPLANT SQUASH!" Soon the purple blur of Croise rushed forward and jumped from the nearby damaged car to slash the Inves with his purple cutlass that had an eggplant hilt coming in the way.
"Calm down, Jord." Croise said to his teammate. "The last thing we need was you being carried off into the air unexpectedly."
"Like the hell that would happen!" Jord retorted before something crashed to the ground right in front of them.
It was none other than Bravo who was holding onto the back of the Lion Inves that apparently have wings.
"Haa… Dang, I never thought catching an Inves would… be difficult…" Bravo comments before he is kicked back away by the Lion Inves, who seem to had enough of him riding on it's back.
"Why you!" The Durian-theme Rider growls in anger.
The Lion Inves charged at him first with its claws, but Bravo was quick enough to dodge the blows before using his chained swords to counterattack. But it wasn't that long before Bravo managed to pierce the wings with his blades.
"DURIAN SQUASH!" Bravo dodged the claws of the Lion Inves before swinging both blades toward the Inves's neck as his Duri Noko pierced through the Inves's head and made Inves explode in the process.
"Too reckless…" Kamuro muttered in dismay. How come this fool was the one who came with them on the mission?
It wasn't that long before they heard a loud roar as they turned to see a Berseker Seiryu Inves coming down at the two.
"That is truly a big one!" Bravo said before charging forward at the Berseker Inves first.
The Berserker Sieryu Inves saw Bravo coming to it before swinging it's tail at him. Bravo tried to block the tail with his Duri Nokos but he and his blades were knocked back to the brick wall behind him.
"Idiot…" Kamuro muttered, resisting the urge to facepalm. He then turned to his teammates. "Croise, you are with me. Jord, you give us rear support."
"Right!" Croise said as he and Kamuro charged forward at the large Berserker Inves.
(With Ryugen)
Ryugen, Gridon, and Habakiri rode on their Dandeliners close to the site of E.U. Power Plant where the Helheim infection appeared the most. It wasn't that long until they stopped at a nearby building in order to observed the infested building.
"Are you sure that it is over there?" Ryugen questioned directly to Gridon. After all, Gridon was the one who directly them to this very place.
"With the power outrage becoming an issue, it would be easily assumed that something happened in the Power Plant." Gridon said, looking down at the area that have Inves patrolling at the very moment.
"I guess that makes sense…" Ryugen said, getting out a scope and observing the parameter of Power Plant that is infested by the forest.
"I don't think it will be a good idea to use explosives on the Power Plant if there are many coming around, Yukiya." Habakiri interjected and carefully calculated how many Inves were there.
"True. I guess that I might save them in case we need to escape." Gridon comments. "So how do you want to approach this, Mister Dragon?" he inquired to the Chinese Rider.
Ryugen is focused carefully onto the infested Power Plant with his scope. "I need to know what the Overlords are doing here," Ryugen said calmly, adjusting his scope. "At the same time, we might need to be careful since we can't overwhelmed this many number of Inves come out here. Since we can't enter the front door, there is always the backdoor." He looking at a garage that have no Inves currently around the area.
Ryugen then turned his attention to the two Riders. "This will be a risky operation, if you slow me down, then you dead meat." He warned grimacing.
"I'm not back down from the challenge." Habakiri replied.
"If you are here, then I might do the same…" Gridon said with slight confidently.
It wasn't that long before the three Riders carefully making their way to the garage area as Ryugen checked the interior of the place. There were no Inves currently in the presence area at the very moment.
"Coast is clear." Ryugen said.
He and his company made their way into the garage without being unseen by any sight of Inves. And there are no sights of any potential human survivors as they make it up the staircase. Unknown to the Riders, one of the Helheim fruits were glowing as they went through the hallway.
It wasn't that long before they ended up in a hallway with Elementary Inves just appeared from Cracks above them.
"How did…?" Habakiri questioned in stun.
"You don't think that they might have their own version of a security system?" Gridon hypothesized, slightly warily.
"If that is the case, then it will be hard to sneak up on them," Ryugen said grimacing, getting his Budou Ryuhou.
Soon the Elementary Inves charged at them before the three Riders scattered as Ryugen was the first to unleash number of firing on the Inves. Habakiri then dodged before slashing off the arm of the Inves that aimed for Gridon who narrowly dodged the Inves before slashing more Elementary Inves in her way.
Gridon continued moving away as he got himself in a good distance to press his Cutting Blade.
"COME ON! DONGURI SQUASH!"
When two Elementary Inves came his way, Gridon gripped his small hammer as an aura projection of the hammer emerged and lifted it high into the air. When the Inves come closer, Gridon slams his hammer down and it makes the aura projection of his hammer slammed down onto the Inves, making them explode.
"Haaa… I never fond of brutal strength…" Gridon sighed, and stared down at the Donkachi in his hand.
"SOIYA! BLUEBERRY SQUASH!"
"HAI~! BUDOU SQUASH!"
Both Habakiri and Ryugen unleashed their own moves to takes down number of Elementary Inves in the way.
"Come on, we might need to get moving, Yukiya. That should be enough to alert them—" Habakiri said before she heard something familiar as vines coming toward them and slashed them off immediately.
Ryugen pulled the hammer of his Budou Ryuhou before dodging the incoming vines then firing at them with rapid shots.
'Things couldn't just get any worse…' Gridon thought as they spotted who was the one responsibility for the vines emerged.
"Do you think that I will allowed toys to get away?" Redyue asked as the female Overlord just entered the room with the three Riders.
(In the military headquarter)
Lelouch is currently taking an break in his private quarter that was arranged for him by Leila Malcal. Even though with the energy giving to him by his Genesis Driver to keep him teaching those who volunteered in his medical class, he should still have an hour of break for himself.
"I see. There isn't much that we can't do and letting her own men taking care of her." Lelouch said to his personal cellphone at the moment.
Due to the infection invasion by the Overlord, the television and certain devices can't work due to something inference with the power. He is certain that things are going on back home with his sudden news if it was broadcast out of E.U. after what happens and decided to make few calls to find out how things were.
"…"
"There are still some things that I still need to confirm. But I had no doubt we might be close or not finding out their own goals." Lelouch answered sternly. "That is why I count on you and Gaim to take care of things until we return." He finished before ending the call.
"Why don't you take some rest?"
Lelouch turned and looked at the Knightframe Lockseed on the table.
"Maybe, after making sure those who volunteered know what they are doing even if Leila Malcal monitoring them." Lelouch said, "So anything unusual with the witch?"
"Beside the complaints about you leaving her. I noticed that she have been silently observing your sister trying to move her legs in the garden." Club said, making Lelouch look a bit surprised.
"She is…?" Lelouch uttered in surprise when processing learning that Nunnally tried to walk while still being blinded.
"From my viewpoint, she looks like she is trying to walk on her own." Club said.
'Even though I told her to wait until we find a way for her to see…' Lelouch thought to himself. Then again, he knows the rebellion he started does take quite some time for him being away from her.
"Are you scared for her well-being?"
Lelouch looks at the Knightframe Lockseed. "Though that I am surprised, and shock that she is doing it secretly. But I will accept it since I have people watch over her if something happens." He said. His sister is not likely going to stop as it reminds him that they shared similar stubbornness in reaching their own goal.
Even though he feels a bit slightly disappointed, he knows that he still has to prepare Nunnally if she finds out about Rai's family connection to them.
The former Prince heard the sound of knocking before it was accompanied by a familiar voice.
"It's Leila Malcal. And I brought someone who wished to speak to you." Leila Malcal's voice said from behind the door.
Lelouch soon placed his Knightframe Lockseed away and made his way to the bathroom quarter of the room. Soon a green flash appeared before Zangetsu-Shin emerged out of there and looked directly at the door.
"You may come in," The Genesis Rider said.
It wasn't that long before Leila entered the room with an older general whom Zangetsu-Shin recognized as Smilas. The only difference was that he was under Julius Kingsley in the W-0.
"What do I owe this visit?" The White Genesis Rider inquired curious.
"I am General Smilas, and I'm here on behead of the people to thank you for your aid to our people in this troublesome time," General Smilas said.
"Thank. But I don't deserved all of the credits…" Zangetsu-Shin admits honestly. "Miss Lelia Malcal was the one who forced them to get grip with reality." He added.
"I won't deny that. Even though there are those in council might be aware that this might be option, but there are those still fear you…" General Smilas added gruesome. He is also one of those individuals does fear what the White Rider commits in his nations.
"Let me guess... I can potentially stab you in the back when you're least suspicious, right?" The leader of the Black Knights asked. "If I want to make the E.U. fall, I would simply be content watching you and lot going through hell while I have the best seat to witness it all." He stated truthfully. But if that happens, he would have to deal with spreading out his force very thin on both Japan and E.U. which is a bad idea.
Leila didn't flinch upon hearing what he said as she sensed that he was telling the truth.
"I want to ask, but how long did you know about the disease, Zangetsu?" General Smilas questioned directly.
"You could say that for a very long time…" Zangetsu-Shin answered cryptic.
"I'm surprised that Britannia never discovered it," Leila remarked with a fake surprise expression.
This made Zangetsu-Shin laugh. "If they did know, they would used it to conquer rest of the world already…" he remarked dryly.
"I see. I want to know if you are intent on sharing any of the findings with E.U.?" General Smilas questioned.
And here is something that the former Britannia Prince anticipated. There will be some people in the E.U. hierarchy who would likely be interested in the horrific wonders of the Forest itself.
"I think that is too early for that in terms of the temporary alliance." Zangetsu-Shin replied.
"Then would you considered—" Before General Smilas could continue, everyone suddenly hears a shockwave of explosion from outside of the room.
"Something is going on… Excuse me." Zangetsu-Shin said before opening the window.
"Wait a minute…!" Leila said before she and General Smilas watched Zangetsu-Shin leaping out of the window at the very moment.
"Can't he just take the front door like a normal person?" General Smilas questioned bewildered.
"Even so… we need to find out what is going on!" Leila said before she and General Smilas headed out from the front door instead.
Zangetsu-Shin soon made his way out of the military building to the area where the explosion came from and stopped at the horrific scene of the battle.
In front of him was were wreckage of E.U. ambulances that were meant to transfer those who were infected to safer locals. Within those wreckages are corpses of those who were the drivers and the patients from oldest and youngest.
"Who in the world…" Zangetsu-Shin whispered.
"Partner, I detected a Genesis Driver at your 8'o clock!" His Knightframe Lockseed said as Zangetsu-Shin immediately spotted a couple of green streaks coming after him.
The white Genesis Rider immediately got out his Sonic Arrow and focused on those streaks coming at him before firing rapid arrows to destroy each one of them.
"What happened!?" Leila demands seriously as she and Smilas come out of the building. They were also startled by the destruction that happened right in front of the building.
"Stay inside, Leila Malcal!" Zangetsu-Shin said, caught her and Smilas' attention. "There is a sniper who from this direction tried to wreck the operation."
"What? But that is incredibly far for a s—" Smilas stated before they saw incoming green streaks in the sky right now.
The attacks were once again, being prevented by Zangetsu-Shin's own energy arrows to counter and cause explosion spread across the air.
"That is certainly aimed for us…" Leila stated while Smilas remained quietly, "We're keeping everyone here stay hidden while you go after the sniper." She said.
Zangetsu-Shin nodded before he got out his Sakura Hurricane Lockseed and pressed it. He then tossed it into the air and it changed into motorcycle mode. The Genesis Rider soon got on his motorcycle and drove ahead to where the location of the sniper might be.
"You still have the senses on the Genesis Rider, right?" Zangetsu-Shin inquired.
"It is still ahead of you." Club said as Zangetsu-Shin dodging incoming energy arrows aiming at him. "Do you want me to take over?"
Zangetsu-Shin shakes his head. "No, I will depend on you as my last trump card," he said, as his motorcycle to keep dodging the arrows.
Soon he suddenly hears the familiar voice of Kamuro within his helmet.
"Zangetsu! What in the world is going on?! I saw explosions near the building you and Commander Malcal were!" Kamuro demands before the white Genesis Rider has to get out his Sonic Arrow to deflect an incoming arrow attack.
"Someone tried to sabotage the operation and I am in pursuit of the sniper. Malcal stay behind to keep others safe," Zangetsu-Shin said before resuming driving the road.
He wasn't able to hear the rest of the communication due to the explosion behind the energy arrows that trying to get in his way. 'Damn, if I don't get close—' He soon saw something that caught his interest.
There was a makeshift ramp that was the result of the Helheim invasion here and looked stable. The White Genesis Rider had an idea in mind as he accelerated his Sakura Hurricane ahead and leaped high into the air. Zangetsu-Shin got his Sonic Arrow in his hands when he saw a couple of energy arrows coming at him while he was in midair.
The White Genesis Rider pushed his Seaboll Compressor of his Genesis Driver once.
"MELON ENERGY SQUASH!"
A green energy slash cut through the energy arrows as Zangetsu-Shin land on the opposite side of the sniper who was responsible for the attack on the E.U. military headquarters. Zangetsu-Shin turns his glazed at the attacker who is a Genesis Rider as indicated by the Genesis Driver strapped to her waist. Locked into her belt was an Energy Lockseed, modeled after guava with the code ELS-05 written on its cover. There is a silver loincloth with a strange helmet design on it. Her bodysuit design resembles that of Genesis Rider Marika except the legs were white and purple. She also had a gray metallic gauntlet wrapped around her forearms and legs. She has a green bulk chest with glowing red lines running across it like blood veins. Her shoulder pads resemble halves of guava fruit that could also be designed for flight function if Zangetsu-Shin had a better look at it. Her helmet was mainly white with a large red visor that covered the place where the face was supposed to be. This is Genesis Rider Kail.
"What do you gain from the sabotage?" Zangetsu-Shin demands.
The mysterious Genesis Rider seems to giving a mysterious chuckle at his response before charging forward at him with her Sonic Arrow.
Zangetsu-Shin waits until the last minute to dodge before pulling the string of his Sonic Arrow to materialize an energy arrow. He fired the energy arrow at Kail's back before the mysterious Genesis Rider dodged the arrow in response. Kail pushed the Seaboll Compressor of her Genesis Driver next.
"GUAVA ENERGY SQUASH~!"
Zangetsu-Shin dodged the crimson energy slash from Kail and fired several energy arrows at her in response. His arrows struck her hard, knocking her back a few feet from him.
"Ah!" Kail cries as she is hit hard by the incoming arrows, skidding against the ground.
It wasn't that long until Kail got up again and decided to activate a special function of her new armor. The shoulder pads of her Guava Energy Arms rotated before facing Zangetsu-Shin who came toward his direction and fired energy blasts at him.
But much to her shock, Zangetsu-Shin jumped out of the way and countered her energy blasts with his energy arrows.
'Is this really my son? The one who prefers Chess and cuddled with Nunnally?' The mysterious Genesis Rider was taken aback as Zangetsu-Shin once again, struck her, shooting her shoulder cannons with his arrows before causing her to flinch hard in pain.
'I still can't get a read about this Rider, but I can be certain that she might be well-trained to last this long against me in my Genesis form, I won't hesitant to take her down, especially after finding out why she attacked our operations,' Zangetsu-Shin thought.
Kail decided to use a different tactic before getting out numerous Lockseeds open to summon many Inves from thin air to distract her son for brief moment.
In response, Zangetsu-Shin placed his Melon Energy Lockseed into the Sonic Arrow.
"LOCK…ON!"
As the Inves come charging at him, Zangetsu-Shin pointed his Sonic Arrow high into the air above them and then released the one arrow soon reached the sky, trailing a huge melon behind it.
"MELON ENERGY!"
The melon exploded as hundreds of energy arrows rained down and fell upon the Inves, causing serious explosions. Kail uses the explosion to hide herself from the White Genesis Rider.
"Club, where is she?" Zangetsu-Shin inquired quietly.
"She appeared moving ahead of the street from you." Club answered as Zangetsu-Shin began to move in that direction.
As he made his way forward, the white Genesis Rider soon encountered Shika Inves charging at him. He soon picked up his Sonic Arrow to block the claw hands before forced it back by giving the Inves a knee kick.
Zangetsu-Shin then pulled back the bowstring of Sonic Arrow and destroyed the Inves with an arrow. He then heard a few more growling sounds and saw two Elementary Inves come at him.
'What is she doing with these Inves? Is she buying time or something?' Zangetsu-Shin wondered before he leaped out of the way and fired arrows to destroy the Inves.
It wasn't that long before he spotted Kail in front of a Crack before entering into it. Zangetsu-Shin soon followed her straight into the zipper-like portal as it vanished right behind them.

Back in the Power Plant, the three Riders are currently in a stand-off against Redyue who just appeared out of nowhere. Habakiri and Ryugen can't help gripping their weapon tightly when seeing this Overlord here.
"What are you doing here?" Ryugen questioned sharply.
"Don't you know that this rock and everyone on it belonged to us? I know that you all saw those pictures on the wall," Redyue replied nonchalantly. "Though I am surprised there were very few that even kept records about us… after all those eons, not to mention losing those Elevators," she added with a hint of maliciousness.
"Elevators?..." Ryugen wondered confused. Why in the world is the Overlord looking for an Elevator anyway?
It wasn't that long until Redyue vanished in front of them before Habakiri turns around to block an axe attack for Gridon, knocking both Riders back.
"Ayano! Are you alright?" Gridon asked with worried.
"I am… fine," Habakiri groans.
Ryugen tried to fire his Budou Ryuhou against Redyue, but she teleported once again to avoid the attack.
"Tell me, human...haven't you ever thought for yourself." Redyue questioned. "Regarding why fight for the Fruit when putting on the belt?"
Ryugen carefully removed his faceplate before replacing it with his Genesis Core.
"That is funny. You have thought it suspicious when you failed to get your own hand on it." Ryugen remarked. "What's wrong? Are you too scared to fight your own on a bitter stand for it?"
"Is that what you ape call comedy? That wasn't very funny." Redyue's voice said darkly as it could be hear almost anywhere.
"Well, have you looked yourself in the mirror? You look more like a man than a woman!" Ryugen retorted before he dodged a sonic attack for him and got out his Matsubokkuri Energy Lockseed.
Soon Ryugen turned to fire at Redyue who appeared from behind him, but he still got hit a couple of times by her axe which sent him flying backward. This caused the Matsubokkuri Energy Lockseed fell apart from him.
"Oww…" Ryugen groans in pain.
Redyue made her way to him and was about to finish him before she saw crimson energy waves come at her and force her to teleport away.
"Well, well… This is an unexpected party that I crashed into," A familiar voice that Ryugen recognized as he and other Riders turned to see who at the front door.
"You got to be shitting…" Ryugen groans.
It was Bloody Saver.
"Another pest…" Redyue said before she released energy waves at him.
Bloody Saver teleported away from the attack before reappearing to slash Redyue with his Red Daidaimaru and Saver Arrow, who teleported away from his attack. This made him become slightly confused before Bloody Saver used his Saver Arrow to repel some vines aiming for him.
"Hey you three… can you still stand up?" Bloody Saver inquired about the state of the Riders nearby. "I will aid you in your escape from this fight."
"Huh?" Gridon blinks in confusion.
"What the hell?!" Habakiri and Ryugen exclaimed at Bloody Saver's sudden concern for them. Something like this is out of the ordinary at the very moment.
"Why are you doing this!?" Ryugen demanded, beyond the confusion of Bloody Saver's behavior.
Bloody Saver scoffed. "You can say that I hate Jam for wasting a potential chance like this..." Bloody Saver replied before turning around to face Redyue who reappeared. He immediately pressed on his Cutting Blade twice.
"HA! BLOOD ZAKURO AU LAIT! BLOOD ORANGE AU LAIT!"
Bloody Saver swung his Red Daidaimaru and countered the blow before Redyue was forced to move back from them.
Ryugen watches the scene before he picks up his Matsubbokuri Energy Lockseed and makes his way to others.
"We are going to make a tactical retreat now," Ryugen said. Even though he was still in shock that Bloody Saver helped them, but they managed to get some clearance on why the Overlords were here in E.U..
"What about him?" Gridon questioned as Bloody Saver was currently engaged with Redyue at the very moment.
"I still don't trust him. But if I see him again, I will remove his helmet." Ryugen replied nonchalantly.
"Then let," Habakiri said as she and her fellow Riders moved away from the scene of the battle.
"You are an annoying pest that needs to be taught a lesson!" Redyue cursed before firing a bright energy blast at Bloody Saver.
Bloody Saver was struck in place by the blast as he couldn't move his body. Redyue soon made her way toward him before stabbing him with her axe.
"That is the end for you—What!?" Redyue exclaimed shock when Bloody Saver completely vanished from thin air.
Soon Bloody Saver reemerged out of thin air and slashes Redyue from behind to forced her to stagger back.
"Impossible! How would you get out of that nightmare I cast upon you!?" Redyue demands.
"I already have been in hell. What you show me is less scary than mine!" Bloody Saver answered darkly and cold.
(In Helheim)
There were the sounds of explosions that could be heard in the woods as Zangetsu-Shin and Kail continued fighting each other in the woods of Helheim.
Kail fired several energy arrows into the air at Zangetsu-Shin who used his Sonic Arrow to protect himself from the incoming arrows. Zangetsu-Shin managed to shrug off the dust from the attack as Kail was about to charge against him when something unexpected happened.
Vines from out of thin air appeared and snatched Kail by surprise.
"What?!" Both Riders exclaimed in surprise at the unexpected predicament.
Suddenly there was a Crack appearing out of thin air and Kail was tossed straight through it while Zangetsu-Shin remained where he was.
Zangetsu-Shin was in shock at what he just witnessed. Before he could process what to do next, he heard the sound of footsteps coming toward his direction and turned around to the source.
Standing not far from him was the white Overlord. His body was mostly white, blue, and gray while donned an unusual cloak with spikes appearing on both sides of his neck. What is unusual about this Overlord, Zangetsu-Shin noted that his appearance is closely humanoid in comparison to other Overlords he comes across. Not to mention the large number of Inves surrounding them, but never approached them to attack yet.
"Who are you?" Zangetsu-Shin questioned. The only reason he hadn't tried to escape was because he didn't know how strong this Overlord was.
"We are Femushinmu. We are descendants of the people who once flourished in this world." The Overlord replied.
"Femushinmu… So that is the name of the race that once live in this world," Zangetsu-Shin wondered. "Why did you intervene in our battle?" he questioned. Though help is also something of concern, but he knows Overlord won't help unless there is something to gain from this.
The Overlord chuckled dryly at the respond. "I simply seek the discussion with you, king of your own people." He answered. "After all, your world is selected by the Forest to seek who is worthy of the Golden Fruit like my own."
