The Missing Bone

The first bell of the day was ringing… students were rushing to make it to their classes on time. Conner quickly caught up with Ethan and Kira asking, "You guys heard from Trent yet?"

Kira had a bit of disappointment in her voice as she replied "No, I'm not sure I really want to." She was still hurt and betrayed by Trent's recent antics.

Ethan was more concerned that they needed to keep a closer eye on Trent, "We gotta make sure he doesn't go off on some poor freshman cause the kid won't give him his lunch money."

Conner retorted, "Yeah, you know what, I think he's after a little more than a free grilled cheese."

Kira replied, "And when we know what that is, maybe we can deal. But until then, we keep an eye on him."

The rangers agreed and proceeded to walk into their classroom. Little did they know Trent had used his camouflage powers to hide among the lockers and had overheard the rangers' entire conversation.

Trent just gave a smug smirk, "Watch me all you want. It won't make a difference." He was not concerned about his former friends keeping an eye on him.

Suddenly Randall's voice filled the intercom system, "Trent Fernandez-Mercer, please report to the principal's office." Trent rolled his eyes and made his way to Randall's office.

Once Trent arrived at the office, Randall started the meeting, "Trent. I've called you here because there's been some concerns among your teachers that recently you've been, well, preoccupied."

Trent smugly answered, "Preoccupied. Is that what they're calling it."

Randall admonished, "Your grades have been slipping. Your behavior is erratic… not to mention your skin tone."

Trent replied, "I'm fine. There is nothing you need to worry about."

Randall tried to sound understanding, "I understand high school can be difficult. There's a sense of powerlessness that can sometimes overwhelm you."

Trent shook his head at that, "I don't feel powerless. Believe me."

Randall quirked her head at that, "Okay. Let's talk friends. Is there a particular group you've been spending time with?"

Trent rolled his eyes a bit, "No, I like to keep to myself."

Randall asked, "How about a team? Well, I'm sure there's one that would just love to have an athletic young man, such as yourself, join. You ever think about that?"

Trent smirked at that and decided to toy with Randall a bit (from his spying on his father's fortress, he already knew Randall was Elsa), "It's funny you should mention that. I was asked to join one just recently."

Randall was intrigued by that (as it could be something she could report to her master), "And?"

Trent gave Randall a smug smirk, "They were losers." Making Randall frown at that.

Trent leaned in a bit, "And I don't really see myself on a losing team. Now, you can understand that, right?" It was an outright hint that he was still refusing to join Mesogog. Randall was infuriated at the veiled insult and could only adjust her glasses at Trent's reply.

Tommy's students were goofing off a bit; Conner and Ethan were throwing paper wads at Devin's camera bag in a makeshift basketball game as they waited for class to start.

Ethan asked, "Hey, did you guys hear we're supposed to get a new teacher today?"

Conner nodded as he continued throwing paper wads at the camera bag, "Yeah, any guesses?"

Cassidy joined in the conversation, "Well, I heard from a very reliable source that it's this 80-year-old woman who used to teach kindergarten in Ohio."

Ethan turned in curiosity at that, "Really?" Before the conversation could continue, Randall entered the classroom.

Randall addressed the students, "Good morning, class. I would like you to meet your new teacher, Dr. Anton Mercer."

The class was stunned, but no one was more stunned than Trent. Trent was genuinely shocked; he had not expected his father would be teaching his science class. Even the rangers were surprised at the reveal.

Anton entered the room and addressed the students, "Good morning, class." and stood next to Randall.

Kira teased Cassidy, "Hey, she looks pretty good for 80." Devin laughed at Kira's quip, causing Cassidy to smack Devin's shoulder, "Oww… what? I thought it was funny."

Randall continued her introduction, "Dr. Mercer has graciously agreed to take over until your teacher gets back on his feet. I would like you to treat him with the same respect that you would treat Dr. Oliver."

Randall gave a small smile towards Anton and proceeded to leave the room. Anton then took over his new class, "Let me start by saying how honored I am to be here."

Anton then started handing out slips to the students, "What I'm handing out to you now are permission slips. These are for your parents to sign. We'll be going on a field trip tomorrow. To a museum. I trust you will all be able to make it."

The rangers just looked at the permission slips, not sure what to think about their new teacher.

As school ended, the rangers began to discuss their new teacher. Kira questioned, "Anton Mercer teaching other people's children? He doesn't even like his own, from what I can tell."

Ethan retorted, "Yeah, I wonder whose brilliant idea this whole thing was."

Kira knowingly replied, "Gotta be Randall's. Did you see them together? It's like they're old pals."

Conner then noticed Anton and Trent in the distance, "Hey, no matter how bad we've got it, there's always someone who's got it worse."

The rangers could see Trent and his father were arguing. They could hear Trent yelling, "I gotta go." They then heard Anton say to his son, "Fine. But I want to talk to you later… Understood." Trent just angrily walked away.

The rangers gave knowing looks to each other; they weren't surprised that Trent was fighting with his father again.

Kira changed the subject, "What are you guys doing now?"

Conner replied, "Soccer" as Ethan answered, "Computer club… you?"

Kira replied, "I promised Dr. O I'd help him and Coach H inventory some stuff in the lab. Plus, he'll probably want to know who's teaching his class."

Conner agreed, "Yeah, I wonder what he'd have to say about it." Ethan just quirked his head in curiosity… the trio said their goodbyes and went their separate ways.

Meanwhile, an exhausted Kimberly entered the Dino Lab. Tommy was already working on his inventory, but he noticed the tired look on his girlfriend's face, "Hey, beautiful… everything okay? How was the school day?"

Kimberly sighed, "It was fine, but Randall was being a pain. She's been making me take over detention lately, and she's trying to stonewall my gymnastics program. We have our first major competition coming up next month, and she's threating that she's not going to approve the trip."

Tommy shook his head, "Is she really being that petty?"

Kimberly nodded, "Yeah, although I expected she would. She's trying to play it off, but I know she's jealous of me right now. I don't really care what she thinks though. I've never liked Randall anyway, but I'll be damned if I'm going to let her intimidate me."

Tommy replied, "You are still such a Pink Ranger. I know you can handle Randall, but you still don't deserve her bullying. I'm sorry she is being so difficult."

Kimberly chuckled, "It's not your fault… you didn't even know Randall was interested in you, until I got jealous of her flirting with you."

Tommy rolled his eyes, "Hey, you are the woman that I love. I don't see Randall in that way, and I hope she eventually realizes she never stood a chance with me."

Kimberly just smiled and hugged Tommy for that, "I so wish I could kiss you right now. I love you too… you have no idea how grateful I am that we got another chance. I just wish we could get you free so we can really enjoy our second chance."

Tommy sighed, "I know… I hate being stuck like this. I'm starting to get really frustrated that I can't live my normal life."

Kimberly reassuringly said, "Hey, I know this is difficult. But I'm so grateful that your ranger suit saved your life. You could have been killed if you hadn't morphed. We'll get through this… I know we'll figure out a way to get you back to normal."

The couple just held each other for a moment… then Kira entered the lab. Kira quickly realized she had walked in on a private moment for the couple, "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to intrude. Were we still going to do inventory? I can come back later."

Tommy and Kimberly just chuckled. Tommy replied, "It's okay, Kira. We were just talking. I'm glad you're here… I already got the inventory started, but I didn't realize how much I needed to get cataloged and organized."

Kimberly quipped, "We got our work cut out for us Kira. We got a lot to organize… I'm amazed that Tommy has some organization to this place."

Tommy shook his head, "Laugh it up Kimberly… I don't judge you Ms. Shopaholic. It's hard to believe all the items I accumulated over the years."

Kimberly laughed, "Maybe that's because you're a pack rat that doesn't like to throw anything out."

Kira rolled her eyes at the couple, but she did think it was cute seeing Tommy and Kimberly banter. Now she had to make sure to get the couple back on task, "All right, you two. We definitely got a lot of work to do."

Tommy and Kimberly laughed at Kira's comment, but the group got to work on the inventory.

As they worked on a bin of fossils, Kimberly asked, "So, how were your classes today, Kira? Did Randall find a sub for Tommy's class?"

Kira nodded, "Oh, yeah. And you'll never believe who it is… Randall got Anton Mercer to take over Dr. O's class."

To Kira and Kimberly's surprise, Tommy replied, "That's great."

Kira gave Tommy a pointed look, "You're kidding, right?"

Tommy answered, "No. I know you think Anton is a little strange."

Kira rolled her eyes a bit and quipped, "Yeah, and Justin Timberlake's a little cute."

Tommy reasoned, "All right, he's a lot strange. But he's brilliant. He taught me a lot of what I know. He'll be great."

Kira wasn't so sure, "If you say so."

Tommy replied, "He really is an amazing person, once you get to know him."

Kimberly commented, "While I don't really know Anton, he was Tommy's mentor in college and gave Tommy his first job as a paleontologist. He would be the most qualified to take over until Tommy can finally return to work. Now if we can just get that son of his under control… I heard Trent got called into the office today."

Kira looked down at that as she really didn't want to talk about Trent. She went back to the bin and picked up a rather unique bone, "Hey, where does this go?"

Tommy immediately recognized the bone, "Oh. You better give me that."

Kira handed the bone to Tommy, "What is it?"

Tommy only replied, "Just a bone."

Kira was now curious on why her mentor was being so vague, "Yeah, but why is it so important?"

Tommy explained, "It needs to be kept safely in my hands. Let's just put it away."

Kira replied, "Whatever you say" as Tommy proceeded to place the bone in a secure box and locked it.

The next morning, the rangers were on their school trip to Anton's museum. Anton ushered in the class, "All right, come along now. We don't want to keep our prehistoric friends waiting."

Kira turned and looked up at the T-Rex statue outside the building. Conner could see the expression on Kira's face, "What's the matter?"

Kira replied, "That thing just gives me a creepy vibe. It's like it moved." Kira had no idea how right she was (It was the same T-Rex that had chased Tommy and Kimberly on the day the rangers found the Dino Gems).

Ethan said, "You know dinosaurs are extinct, right?"

Kira gave Ethan a pointed look causing Ethan to exclaim, "Okay… I see your point."

As Kira was about to turn to enter the museum, she still felt that the T-Rex was watching her, "Stop staring."

Anton served as teacher and guide as he led his students through his museum, "And just ahead here is a Triceratops from the Cretaceous Period. Strictly herbivores… hunted by the Tyrannosaurus Rex."

Conner clapped Ethan's shoulders, "Gotta love the T-Rex." Ethan gave Conner a look, "Whatever bro." The boys would favor these two dinosaurs as they were the basis of their ranger powers.

Kira was in the rear of the group and happened to hear some noise at the back of the museum. She tuned and could see movement that looked awfully like the Tyrannodrones. She decided to break away from the class and investigate.

Unfortunately, Cassidy noticed Kira leaving. The nosey reporter caught up to Kira, "Hey. Where are you going?"

Kira quickly replied, "Uh, to the bathroom." She hoped that excuse would get Cassidy away from her.

Cassidy said, "Oh, great. Me too. Because my lip gloss is totally wearing off."

Kira tried again to get Cassidy to leave her alone, "No, Cassidy. Just stay here, okay? You're just gonna get us both in trouble."

Cassidy didn't listen, "Whatever. I'm going to the little girls' room, and you can do whatever you want." The blonde finally walked away.

As Cassidy looked for the bathroom, she was quickly caught by Anton. Anton replied, "Miss Cornell. Come join us. We wouldn't want you to miss any of the exciting artifacts."

Cassidy looked around for Kira, "But what about-" but Anton interrupted, "Come along now." Anton quickly led Cassidy back to the group.

Kira had used the distraction to hide and went back to investigating as soon as the coast was clear.

Kira found the storage room and found the door unlocked. She entered the room and began to look around.

Suddenly a Tyrannodrone grabbed Kira from behind. Kira quickly elbowed the creature and began to exchange blows. Kira ended up landing a kick on the tyrannodrone's middle that caused the creature to fly backwards.

More Tyrannodrones appeared and began to surround the yellow ranger. Kira managed to land some kicks and blows on the creatures. One of her kicks caused one of the creatures to go flying into one of the shelves.

One of the Tyrannodrones had gotten onto Kira's back, so she spun around and knocked the creature to the ground. Kira quickly leaped up, but another Tyrannodrone kicked her right in the middle of her back.

Kira landed into the hoard of Tyrannodrones, and they quickly apprehended the yellow ranger.

Kira struggled against the Tyrannodrones, "Let me go you freaks!" as they led her to a collection of bones in the back of the storage room.

Fossilador's head began to glow, and the evil monster began to hypnotize Kira, "Kira… you must listen to me."

Kira's eyes turned bright white as Fossilador continued his spell, "You will do as I command."

Conner and Ethan were now worried and looking for Kira. Ethan asked, "Where could she have gone?"

Conner finally spotted Kira coming back to the main museum, "There she is. Kira, Kira!"

Kira was slightly disoriented after the evil spell and shook her head. The boys quickly caught up to her… Ethan worriedly asked, "Are you all right? What happened?"

Kira answered, "Uh, yeah. I'm fine. I just got lost."

Conner questioned, "Lost?" That wasn't like Kira.

Kira got snippy, "Yeah, as in not found. But I'm fine. Are we leaving?"

Ethan was a little offput by Kira's attitude, "Yeah, we're leaving."

Kira replied, "Great… let's go." She walked away, leaving the guys stunned by her surly attitude.

Later at the Cyberspace, Kira was sitting by herself at the counter… away from Conner and Ethan.

Ethan could feel something was up and told Conner, "Something's not right."

Even Hayley could tell something was up and went to check on the yellow ranger, "Hey Kira. How come you're not sitting with the guys?"

Kira sarcastically replied, "What? We have to do everything together?"

Hayley was a little put off by the attitude, "Well, no, but you usually do, don't you?"

Kira sourly said, "Not anymore. Look, Hayley, I don't mean to be rude, but I need to get this done for Dr. Mercer's class."

Hayley scoffed a bit, "I'll never get used to the sound of that. Dr. Mercer's class?"

To Hayley's surprise, Kria defended, "Hey, he's a really good teacher, and we're going to learn a lot from him."

Hayley rolled her eyes a bit at that, "Okay, whatever you say, Kira." Hayley walked away, annoyed by Kira's attitude.

Conner and Ethan decided to check up on Kira. Conner asked, "Hey, you want to go to a movie tonight?"

Kira rudely replied, "No."

Ethan quirked his eyebrows at that, while Conner decided to confront Kira, "You know, when someone doesn't want to hang out with people, they usually come up with some sort of excuse."

Kira rudely answered, "Look, I just don't feel like spending any more time with you guys than I really have to, okay?" She then gathered up her things, "I have to go. I have something to do."

Kira walked away, leaving the boys stunned. Ethan quickly commented to Conner, "What's up with her?"

After leaving Cyberspace, Kira headed for the back forest exit of the Dino Lab.

Kira spoke into her bracelet, "Dr. O, are you there? It's Kira."

Tommy answered, "Yeah, what's up, Kira?"

Kira replied, "I was out running just now, and I think I saw something by the edge of the old forest by the lake. It might be a dinozord egg. Could you check it out for me? I gotta get home."

Tommy responded, "I'm on my way."

Kira said, "Great… thanks." She quickly hid behind a nearby tree and waited for Tommy to leave.

A moment later, Tommy was on his ATV and exited the Dino Lab. As soon as Tommy was gone, Kira quickly ran into the lab before the exit sealed shut.

Kira entered the lab and Fossilador's evil voice filled her head, "Now finish the task."

Kira walked toward the locked box that contained Fossilador's missing bone. She used her Ptera Scream and broke the lock.

Kira quickly opened the box and grabbed the bone with Fossilador hissing, "Excellent. Soon I will be complete. Then I will rise again." in her mind. Kira's eyes went bright white again under the evil spell.

Tommy looked around the forest and found nothing, "Huh? I don't see any dinozord eggs."

Tommy quickly called Kira back on his morpher, "Kira, it's me. I couldn't find anything out here. Are you sure you saw something?"

Kira just held the bone in her hands as she answered, "Oh, wow. I must've been wrong. Thanks for checking it out, Dr. O."

Tommy replied, "No problem." He revved his ATV and started his way back to the lab.

Kira's eyes were still bright white as she made her exit from the lab.

Tommy finally returned to the lab and was quickly met by Conner and Ethan. The boys quickly shared their concerns about Kira.

Tommy questioned, "So, you think Kira's been acting kind of strange?"

Conner answered, "We just don't know what's wrong with her. I mean, I didn't say anything to make her mad."

Ethan gave Conner a look, "Are you sure? Sometimes you say things you don't think is going to make people angry and things end up getting thrown at you."

Conner scoffed, "Dude, I promise. I didn't say anything." Ethan replied, "Just asking."

Tommy then found the storage box open and the bone missing, "All right, you two. I think we may have a bigger problem than that."

Tommy showed the boys the empty box, "This box contained the final bone to a creature that was created by Mercer and me years ago."

Conner asked, "What kind of creature?"

Tommy answered, "Fossilador. We were trying to create a dinosaur that had the power of mind control. It was scrapped when it got out of hand."

Ethan quipped, "Great" as Tommy continued, "As long as I had the main support bone it could never come to life."

Conner understood, "And that's what was in that box."

Tommy nodded, "Yes" who was now worried about the missing bone.

Conner asked, "So, who do you think took it?"

Tommy realized, "If it wasn't you two and if it wasn't me, Kimberly, or Hayley, that seriously cuts down the suspects."

Ethan was shocked as he realized, "Kira?"

Meanwhile, Kira had made her way back into the museum. She walked toward Fossilador's skeleton, "I have returned as you commanded."

Kira's eyes still glowed white as Fossilador said, "Good girl. Did you bring it?"

Kira replied, "Yes" and placed the missing bone next to the rest of Fossilador's bones.

Fossilador's skull began to glow, "Excellent." Fossilador's skeleton quickly joined together, and Fossilador was now finally complete.

The monster stood in front of Kira, "You have served your purpose." He let out a burst of energy causing Kira to fly across the room. Kira fell to the floor and was knocked unconscious.

Fossilador escaped the museum and burst through the city streets as he grew into his giant form, "Yes, I'm free! My time has come at last!"

Fossilador's rampage through the city appeared on the monitors in the lab. Ethan quipped, "I'm going to take a wild stab and say that's your fossil monster."

Tommy turned and replied, "Unfortunately, it is."

Conner quickly asked Hayley and Kimberly, "Any word from Kira?"

Hayley shook her head, "Nothing, but I've been trying."

Tommy was wondering how Kira had encountered Fossilador, "Think you guys, where could she have come in contact with this thing?"

Conner realized, "The museum. We went on a field trip with Dr. Mercer."

Ethan agreed, "Yeah, and she disappeared for a while. When she came back, that's when she started acting all weird."

Tommy ordered, "Hayley, Kimberly, you go to the museum and look for Kira. We'll try to hold this thing off."

Hayley and Kimberly nodded, "On our way."

Tommy turned to the guys, "Better take the raptors."

Conner nodded, "Don't have to convince me." He and Ethan quickly got out of their seats and got into their morphing stance, "Dino Thunder, Power Up!" Once morphed, the boys quickly headed to town.

Fossilador continued his rampage, "This city is mine!" and let out an evil laugh.

The guys arrived on the scene riding their raptors. Conner exclaimed, "Check out them bones."

Suddenly the rangers were struck by several energy blasts. The boys groaned at the impact and were knocked off their raptors.

Zeltrax appeared, "You're not going anywhere. Triptoids!" The Triptoids arrived and began charging at the rangers.

Conner and Ethan quickly pulled out their sabers, while Tommy grabbed his Brachio staff, and they quickly began to fight the Triptoids.

Tommy struck a Triptoid away and began to fight with Zeltrax, "You guys go on! I'll deal with Zeltrax."

Conner and Ethan nodded as they batted the Triptoids away from them, "Okay" "Yeah!" They quickly rushed away so they could meet their zords.

Tommy summoned, "Brachio" and Brachio arrived bringing in the zords. Tyranno and Tricera quickly ran to meet their masters.

Fossilador exhaled and blew a huge gust of powerful wind, knocking Tyranno and Tricera to the ground. The guys were going to need Kira's help.

Hayley and Kimberly arrived at Anton's Dinosaur Museum. They went to the front doors, only to find them locked.

Hayley groaned, "Oh, no!" and Kimberly quickly said, "There has to be another way in." The girls ran down the steps and found another set of doors.

Just as they reached the bottom of the steps, a security guard exclaimed, "Ladies. I'm afraid the museum is closed. You'll have to come back tomorrow."

Hayley pleaded, "We understand, sir. But we think there might be a high school student locked inside."

Kimberly pleaded as well, "Please, we think she might be in trouble."

The security guard replied, "That's impossible. I've checked the building thoroughly."

Hayley put on a charming smile, "Can't you look just one more time?"

The security guard softened at Hayley's smile, "Well, I supposed I could." Kimberly and Hayley sighed in relief and followed the guard into the building.

Conner and Ethan quickly joined their zords, but without Kira, they had to form an incomplete version of the Megazord.

Conner exclaimed, "Oh, man. Take a look at that guy. This isn't going to be easy."

Ethan agreed, "You read my mind."

The megazord began to charge and exchanged blows with Fossilador. Fossilador matched each blow, "You can't stop me!"

The Megazord was batted backwards. Conner quickly asked, "Any word from Kira, Dr. O?"

Tommy was still fighting against Zeltrax as he quickly spoke, "Nothing yet! You've gotta hang on!" He quickly used his staff and batted several Triptoids away from him.

Back at the museum Hayley, Kimberly, and the security guard found Kira unconscious in the storage room.

Hayley and Kimberly quickly rushed to Kira's side. Hayley exclaimed, "Kira! Are you all right? Can you hear us?"

Kimberly gently shook Kira, "Come on, Kira. Please wake up."

Kira then opened her eyes, "Yeah, I'm fine. What happened?" Her eyes went wide as she realized what she had done, "Oh, no, I set that thing-"

Hayley asked, "Are you okay to get up?"

Kira nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine" and quickly began to sit up.

The security guard worriedly asked, "Should I get a doctor?"

Kira hastily said, "Uh, no. No, I, uh, just need to get home." She quickly rose to her feet and ran out of the room. Kimberly and Hayley quickly followed Kira out the door.

Once the girls were safely outside, Kira couldn't believe what she had done, "I can't believe I was responsible for that thing coming alive."

Hayley was reassuring, "It wasn't your fault. In your civilian form, you couldn't stop it from controlling your mind."

Kimberly agreed, "Hayley's right. And luckily, the guys' ranger powers will protect them."

Kira was now determined to stop Fossilador, "I'm going over there."

Hayley and Kimberly were still concerned about Kira's health, "Are you sure?"

Kira growled, "No one messes with my mind and gets away with it." Although Hayley and Kimberly were worried, Kira stormed off to join her team.

Fossilador continued to blast at the Megazord. Conner and Ethan groaned from the impact.

Conner then noticed something in the distance, "Hey, what's that?"

Fossilador had launched his bone claw missiles at the approaching object, but it quickly dodged them.

It was Ptera flying to the scene, with Kira atop of her zord. She hollered, "Hang on guys!"

Conner was relieved, "Kira!" They finally had the backup they needed to even up the fight.

Kira quickly went into her morph sequence, "Dino Thunder, Power Up!" and got into her ranger suit.

Ethan exclaimed, "All right!" as Kira began her sequence to join the Megazord. The Megazord jumped up to join with Ptera and was finally complete, "Megazord, Online!"

The rangers were finally reunited. Ethan cried, "Good timing, Kira." Conner agreed, "Yeah, we could use the help."

Kira nodded, "Don't sweat it guys. Let's blast that bonehead!"

The Megazord got into its defensive stance. Fossilador just laughed and began to charge forward.

Kira ordered, "Fire Lasers!" The Megazord quickly released its lasers from its eyes. The lasers struck Fossilador, but the monster continued to charge.

Kira changed tactics, "Ptera-rang!" The Megazord then launched the Ptera-rang at Fossilador.

Fossilador groaned as the Ptera-rang struck him and cut off one of his limbs. Fossilador just laughed, "Nice try" and quickly regenerated his missing limb.

The rangers were stunned at that; Conner exclaimed, "No way!" Fossilador then exhaled several powerful gusts at the Megazord, causing the Megazord to stumble back.

The rangers groaned as sparks filled their cockpit. Conner growled, "That was just plain nasty."

Ethan cried, "The guy's got some prehistoric breath."

Fossilador exclaimed as he charged, "I'm just getting started." He laughed as he grabbed the Megazord's middle, causing some major sparks against the Megazord.

Tommy was still battling Zeltrax and the Triptods, but managed to look up and see what was happening, "Huh? That's bad."

There was nothing Tommy could do. Tommy was barely able to block another attack by Zeltrax.

Tommy continued to use his staff to block and strike at Zeltrax and the Triptoids. As Tommy spun his body around, he launched his staff into the air. It struck several Triptoids before returning to Tommy. Tommy quickly caught his staff, and then launched it at Zeltrax.

Zeltrax used his sword and blocked Tommy's staff from hitting him. The momentum returned the Brachio Staff to Tommy, who quickly caught it.

Tommy spun his body into the air, striking at the Triptoids again. Once Tommy landed, he charged towards Zeltrax.

Tommy and Zeltrax leaped towards each other; Zeltrax landed a hard kick to Tommy's center, causing Tommy to fly backwards and crash into a parked car.

Tommy growled as he crouched up, "Don't you ever get tired!"

Zeltrax landed on his feet and fired an energy blast from his sword. Tommy leaped into the air and managed to avoid the blasts.

Tommy managed to land several strikes and kicks onto the Triptoids. He ended up using a nearby parked car to spin his body around. He landed a few more strikes on the Triptoids as he landed back on his feet.

Zeltrax then fired his sword at Tommy again. Tommy managed to backflip into the air and landed on top of the parked car.

Tommy quickly batted two Triptoids away from him and quipped, "Anyone else?"

One Triptoid leaped towards him, but Tommy raised his leg and landed a powerful kick on the Triptoid's middle, causing the minion to fly backwards.

Tommy batted another Triptoid away from him, causing Zeltrax to charge at him. Zeltrax managed to knock Tommy onto his back. Tommy was pinned against the roof of the car, but he quickly raised his staff to block Zeltrax's sword, "Not this time!"

Tommy broke the hold and spun his body up. Tommy twirled his body around, and while Zeltrax landed a few blows, Tommy got the upper hand and landed a powerful strike with his staff that sent the cyborg flying and crashing into the other parked car that was near them.

Tommy quipped, "Looks like you lose again!"

Zeltrax groaned as he struggled to his feet, "It matters not, Dr. Oliver. Your rangers are finished, and without them, you will be nothing!" He summoned an invisi-portal and made his retreat.

Tommy was left alone and replied, "I still don't know what his problem is." He still had no idea why the cyborg hated him so much.

Tommy gasped as he noticed Fossilador still had a hold on the Megazord, "Hang on guys!"

Fossilador did not loosen his grip and sparks continued to fly from the Megazord.

Tommy quickly spoke over the coms, "Kira! Aim for the spot where you put the missing bone. That's where he's most vulnerable."

Kira exclaimed, "You got it!" She used the Megazord's computer and quickly located the bone, "Locked on!"

Kira then summoned, "Tyranno drill!" The Megazord leaped into the air as the Tyranno Drill picked up speed. The Tyranno Drill quickly struck Fossilador's weak spot.

Fossilador groaned as the Tyranno Drill struck him and exploded into pieces. Tommy was proud as the Megazord stood victorious, "Good job!"

The rangers returned to the Dino Lab after the battle. Ethan was happy to have Kira back, "So glad you're back to normal, Kira. You were pretty scary there for a while."

Kira apologized, "I'm so sorry I was mean to you guys."

Ethan was understanding, "Don't worry about it. Seriously."

Conner quipped, "Yeah, I mean we're kind of used to it."

Kira and Ethan both gave Conner a look. Ethan chided, "See? That would be one of those things you say from time to time."

Conner realized, "Oh, right. Sorry."

Kira didn't really care about Conner's dumb comment, "I'm just glad everything worked out. Kinda weird, though?"

Tommy turned towards the kids and wondered what Kira meant, "What's that?"

Kira explained, "Anton Mercer. This thing was stored in his museum. Why?" Kira was now suspicious that something was up with Trent's father.

Anton was working in his lair. He was already in Mesogog's clothes, but he could feel the transformation coming on.

Anton was still trying to work on a cure. He struggled to stay upright against the lab station, "Come on, Anton!" He pleaded as he used a dropper to suck up a sample of his latest attempt, "This has to be it… this has to be it."

Anton was sweating profusely, and a drop of his sweat hit the countertop. The scans of his brain on the nearby monitor began to change color… indicating he was starting to turn.

Anton tried to pour his latest sample into his other beaker, "There has to be a way to stop it." Anton had to stop as the transformation became too powerful.

Anton looked like he was going to be sick. Suddenly his teeth began to change into fangs. Anton grabbed at his head in pain as Mesogog began to overtake his body.

Anton's face and body quickly changed, and finally transformed into Mesogog.

Mesogog rose to his feet and saw Anton's latest attempt to separate them, "You are weak… Anton. Weak and pathetic."

He let the sample fall back into the petri dish, "As long as I am alive, my plan to bring back our time of glory will go on as scheduled… Power Rangers or no Power Rangers."

Poor Anton Mercer was still stuck with his evil alter-ego… Mesogog was an intelligent (and dangerous) enemy and was determined to defeat the Power Rangers and have his evil plot for the world finally come true.
