Eri was smiling as she opened the door. Kyoka walked in and was impressed that Izuku's penthouse was very large since it was actually 2 stories; It was even bigger than Momo's.

"Wow, this place is huge," she said.

"Yeah, it was designed to be for more than just the two of us," Eri said, leading her inside. The first floor was going to be for Grandpa and Grandma and when the Uraraka's would come to visit. Upstairs was supposed to be for him, me, and her."

Kyoka winced to hear that. "Do you know what dad did?" Kyoka shook her head.

"Grandpa and Grandma were going to live in Hawaii, but Grandma got sick before they could, and then Grandpa just wasted away." She wiped at her eyes, "I didn't have the control to be able to save them, so we had to watch them die. Dad then gave the house to her parents saying she paid for it."

"She didn't; I think she was supposed to, but then she left us."

"I am so sorry, Eri," Kyoka said, hugging the girl. "Are you mad?"

"Of course, she hurt him. She hurt him badly. I was upset and angry for her leaving us, but it was what it did to Dad." Eri said. "Dad has always seemed sad; something was always eating at him, and when she left, he was in a bad way. Luckily, we went to counseling, and he got better. You know him, carry the world's weight, and smile the whole time.

"Yeah, that sounds like your Dad; he always puts others before himself," Kyoka said; she paused before speaking. "Are you upset with me?"

"A little," Eri said, staring at Kyoka. "You just disappeared, but at least you were on the planet. And Dad always said you were talking to us through your music. Besides, I liked you better than her. No more sadness; let's play music."

"Where did you want to play?" Kyoka asked.

"We can go to the music room?" Eri said, her voice brightened up a little.

"Music room?"

"Dad has a music room that is where the instruments are except for," she pointed to the piano.

Erin led her to a room on the first floor where there were posters, albums a whole area for music listening, and another with instruments. Kyoka saw a poster for when she played with Deep Dope in California. It was the concert tickets in the frame with a photo of Izuku and Eri near the stage and a photo of her playing with Liz of Deep Dope that could only have been taken by someone who was there.

"Where you two there?" Kyoka said, pointing to the framed poster.

"Uh-huh," Eri nodded as she pulled out her guitar. "Dad took me. We wanted to get backstage, but we couldn't get passes or something. I screamed so loud that my voice was sore," she giggled.

Kyoka shook the thought from her head. "Okay, kid, show me what you got."

They played for a while. Kyoka was impressed that Eri had kept up with her practice after all this time. Eventually, they took a break for dinner, ordering some takeout from Eri's favorite place. They sat on the couch eating when Eri asked, "Do you regret getting married?" Kyoka paused. "I asked Dad if he regretted waiting for Uraraka, and he said he regretted many things, but life had worked out the way it did, and there was nothing he could do about it now."

"I don't know if this is the right idea, Dad," Kyoka said, standing on the balcony.

"Do you love Denki?" he replied.

"I do, but I don't know if this is the right step," she said.

"It is just pre-wedding jitters, my little grace," he hugged her. "I will support you; if you feel this is wrong, say the word if you want to go through with it either way."

"Jesus, I wish I could run away," she said into the night sky, her head in her hands.

"I'll take you away," a voice said. She looked and saw Izuku floating just off the balcony.

"You scared me," she said, her hand on her heart. "I must be distracted not to hear you, but what did you say?"

"If you don't want to do this, I will take you away from here," he repeated.

"And where would you take me?" she said, looking into his soft green eyes.

"Anywhere you want to go,"

"And if they come after us?" she said.

"I will fight them all," he said, extending his hand. "You don't have to say anything. Just take my hand, and I will do the rest."

"Would you do that for me?" she whispered.

"Yes," he replied.

"You would do that for anyone, though," she said, looking at his hand.

"No, I wouldn't." he said softly, "But I would do it for you."

She stared at his hand, his words echoing in her mind. She started to reach out but pulled her hand back as she heard her name being called from inside the room. "Goodnight Izuku." She said, walking away as he stood there floating.

-Present-

"Sometimes I do," Kyoka said. "There were some good times, but the signs were all there; we would break up and get back together all the time, stupidly thought getting married would not fix that. I regret other things much more than getting married, but I hope to be able to make up for most of them now."

"Is that why you came back?" Eri said.

"Partially," Kyoka responded. "I got lost; I needed to reset, so I came home and hoped the people I had done wrong would welcome me back, and they have. I expected your dad to hate me or you to hate me. I messed up. I apologize for that, Eri; I shouldn't have just disappeared. I should have done much more, but I hope you forgive me."

"I can Aunty," she said. "As long as you don't do it again."

"I promise," Kyoka said.

-Questions-

Eri was fast asleep, and Kyoka had just woken up when she heard the door open and close softly. She knew who it was when she heard the faint sound of his metal boots on the floor. She came walking out and saw the kitchen light on; she listened to an all too familiar groan as she got closer.

She came around the corner and found Izuku stripping off his top; she saw large dark bruises all over his chest and back. She did not miss that part of the job, but seeing him there all muscled caused her heart to skip a beat. "Rough Nite?" she said.

"Oh shit, sorry, Kyo," he said. "I should have come in off my balcony." He groaned, still trying to escape his top, till she walked over and gently guided him to a stool.

"Sit," she ordered. "Arms up." She pulled it off for him, and as she did, she didn't realize how close they were to each other and what that was doing to her. She set it on another stool and went to the fridge; she put his food on heat and handed him an ice pack. "Painkillers?"

"I have some in my bathroom cabinet, two, please," he said as he pressed the pack to his ribs.

She entered his room, shutting out distractions, and retrieved the painkillers. However, she did glance at the huge bed that was the room's focal point. "Here you go," she handed him the pills and water. "What happened?"

"We have been tracking this villain named Deviant, hoping he would lead us to The Professor, a big-time drug dealer, and he finally did. Unfortunately, they weren't alone. They had some serious muscle spiraling out of control from there." He said, sniffing at the air. "Katsudon?"

"Yes, your daughter made sure to order you the XXL portion." She said. "Did you take them down?"

"Yeah, I expected it would get rough if it went down, but we had Bakugo, Manga, and Neito on as backup." He winced as they moved the ice pack to another location.

"That is some heavy backup," she said, setting his food before him. "How could anyone keep up with you?"

"Deviant has a reverb quirk that redirects the force back at you; I had to overload him to take him down." He said.

"Well, that would explain the bruises," she commented, looking over for any cuts, her eyes lingering on the scar on his side. Her mind drifted to the dark dorm room and a kiss.

"This stuff The Professor was peddling was some bad shit Kyo; it was trigger mixed with hallucinogenic. It was causing some real problems all over the place. We had raids going off everywhere. But it was the Professor we were all after." He said, gingerly taking a bite. "Oh, that's good."

Kyoka smiled, "Let me help," she said as she fed him. He wanted to protest, but his body was too damn sore.

"Thanks, Kyo," he said. "How was your night?"

"Good, got to talk to Eri and catch up; she plays really well." She said, then smiled as she plopped some food in his mouth. "Nice music room, by the way."

"Glad you like it," he said, taking the food gratefully.

"I saw the poster," he stopped for a second and looked guilty. "Why didn't you call me or come backstage?"

"I hadn't talked to you since your wedding," he said. "I had sent you messages, but you never responded."

"Then why that concert?" she asked.

"Because I knew it was a big moment for you; just because you were ignoring me didn't mean I would miss you getting to fulfill that fantasy of playing with Deep Dope," he responded. "I know what that meant to you. We didn't just fly out there to see you play; we were on vacation, Ochaco had left, and we both needed to get away."

"And Beautiful Noise?" she asked.

"That music store?" he replied, "I have been there for years." His face was calm. Everything about him said he was telling the truth, but Kyoka's hearing told her otherwise.

"Why Izuku?" she said quietly. "Why did you save that place? Why did you come to my concert and not tell me? What else have you done that I don't know about?"

He took a healthy bite of food alone, savoring the taste. "Just because you cut me out of your life didn't mean I cut you out of mine. Beautiful Noise was special; it was where we got my first guitar and where we got Eri hers. We had some great memories there, and I didn't want to see it disappear. I came to the concert for the same reason. I knew how important that moment was and wanted to see it for myself." He paused, "I didn't tell you I was there because I figured that was what you wanted, Kyoka, and I have always given you that; whatever you asked of me, I did. You may have stopped caring, but I didn't." He stopped and picked up the bowl. "Thank you for watching over Eri tonight, but I will take a bath and sleep. We can talk tomorrow."

She watched him walk off, his words still reverberating in her mind.

-A Little Later-

Momo walked into Izuku's penthouse; looking around, she saw his bag on the floor by the door. She entered the kitchen to find Eri and Kyoka eating breakfast at the table.

"Good Morning, Mom," Eri said, taking a bite of her toast. "I am almost ready for school. I need to brush my teeth. Thanks for breakfast, Aunty Ko." She said, running off down the hall.

"I take it this is a normal thing?" Kyo questioned.

"I normally take her to school if he has a stakeout or is unavailable," Momo responded. "But excuse me while I check on him, this part is new."

She quietly slipped into his room and found him, as she expected, asleep; the blanket was down around her waist, allowing her to see the extensive bruising. She walked around the bed and gently pulled the covers up. His eyes opened some, and she heard him whisper, "Momo?"

"It's me, darling," she whispered back. "I am just taking Eri to school and wanted to check on you." She leaned over him and gently kissed his lips.

"Good sore," he said. "Have a good day. I will call you later. I have to go in to do paperwork later."

"Make sure you have the doctor check you out also," she said.

"I will," he said, drifting off to sleep again.

"Izuku,"

"hmm."

"I love you too."

"Love you more.." he muttered as sleep once again claimed him.

-Kyoka Jiro-

She sat at her laptop, filling out paperwork that Izuku's Agency had sent her regarding the bank incident the day prior. She was surprised when a lot of it was filled out for her, only requiring her to fill in some information that would auto-fill on the forms. It was much more efficient. She heard his door open, and his footsteps approach.

"Kyoka?" he called out.

"Living room," she responded.

He came around the corner wearing a black tank top and blue basketball shorts. "What are you working on?" he asked.

"Paperwork from the bank," she responded. "I always hated this part, but this program or whatever you got is amazing. Like it cuts everything in ¾ of the time."

"Yeah, it's phenomenal, Melissa made it. One of my sidekicks, Lo-Fi, handles all that stuff; he oversees the technical part of the agency." He said, walking towards the kitchen.

"How is Melissa?" she called after him.

"Great," he said. "She got married a few years ago to Louis Nichols, a great dude, just as into tech and science as she is. They are expecting their first in about six months."

He returned and tossed her water, "She is really happy we talk whenever we get time; she feels guilty."

"What for?" Kyoka said.

"It was she and Louis that discovered the breakthrough with the gravity drive that led to Ochaco heading to space." He flopped onto the couch. "I told her it wasn't her fault; that was Ochaco's choice. But she still feels bad, but I told her then I should feel bad because I am a partner in her company blah blah blah."

"Wait, you own part of Shield Corp?" she said.

"Toshi did," Izuku responded. "He invested in it heavily after that whole fiasco on the island, and David went to jail. When he passed, it came to me." He looked around, "This all comes from him. I am starting to make good money as a pro, but I don't have enough money to afford all this. Momo's dad was a big help in pointing me in the right direction for investments and how to make my money work. That and the joint things I have with Momo are taking off."

"Like?" she said.

"We both own Hatsume Support Co., the United Foundation, Wiccan Communications, Healing Heart Clinics, Inko's Hungry Family Kitchen, and Open Mind Quirk Counseling." He said. "I know there is more, but," he shrugged. "My accountants are happy, so that means everything is good. I have also been able to help out some of our friends with their different ventures, Yuga's salons Twinkling, best investment ever!" he said, laughing.

His laugh warmed her soul. "How are things with Momo?" before he could answer, his phone rang.

"Hello Christy, no, I haven't had a chance to look yet…ok…hey, turn on the television HNN."

Kyoka grabbed the remote and turned on the giant screen.

"In these exclusive Photos, you can see Creati and Deku are a little bit closer than either has admitted." Photos of him and Momo's dinner portion of the date were on the screen, and then it changed to a video of them dancing in the club and kissing on the dance floor. "We have contacted both the pro heroes, but neither agency has responded. However, we talked to Shoto Todoroki Creati's ex-boyfriend in this exclusive interview.

"Shoto, any comment on Creati and Deku sharing a kiss on the dance floor." A reporter asked.

"I was unaware of any such thing?" he responded. The reporter then showed him the video. "They seem happy; I wish them nothing but the best. Creati is a fine woman, and Deku is not only the top hero in the country but also a great person and a friend."

"Are you jealous at all?"

"No," he said. "Creati and I were not compatible in a romantic sense; we are friends and remain in contact. Who she chooses to date is not my concern. But Deku, I know you will see this; treat her right; she deserves it, and the same is true for you, Creati. I wish you both happiness. Now, I am sorry, but I must continue my patrol."

"That was the pro hero Shoto blessing the new power couple. Back to you in the studio."

"Nice to hear that everything sounds good between the three of them; Deku has not been linked to anyone since Uravity left the planet, though rumors have circulated of him and Lady Nagant, seen here. They were photographed having lunch a few times, but….."

"Thanks, Christy. I will be in shortly." He said. "Well, guess the cat is out of the bag now…"

Kyoka, who was looking at her phone, said, "Wow, you guys were into it on the dance floor," she said, turning her phone around. A full video of them dancing was playing.

His phone rang again and showed her it was Momo. "I was just about to call you; I saw it; Christy just called. I am about to get changed and head to the office. I will see you there." He turned back to Kyoka. "Your welcome to stay if you want, or I can drop you somewhere?"

"I'll stay; see Eri when she comes home if that is ok?" she said.

He pulled out his phone and sent her a quick message. "Sign into that so you can arm the security or disarm if you need to; I will let the front desk know you are staying here so you can authorize anyone to come up if you need to. If you need anything, let me know."

"Will do go have fun talking to the press," she said with a smile; she laughed when he rolled his eyes and went to get changed.

Kyoka sat there for a bit after he had left before she walked over to the music room. She had noticed it the other day, but now she had to know. A panel had seemed out of place. She went and tapped on it with her jack, and sure enough, there was space behind it. She searched until a numeric panel appeared; she bit her lip and thought hard. Should she do this? She typed in her birthday…no…his birthday….no. She closed her eyes and typed in the date of the night they shared, and it unlocked.

The panel opened, and she saw it was full of different things; the room was huge. It was almost like a trophy/museum. She saw all kinds of All-Might memorabilia: his costumes, Inko's wedding dress, Gran Torino's cape, photos, and mementos from special times with friends; of course, Ochaco has a section. There were hers, albums, merchandise, personal images, and other things—letters or papers from school. What caught her attention was a painting of her singing at the festival. There were few other paintings here but of his parents, Eri, Ochaco, Momo, and her. She looked at them all, the same person, he did them.

She saw a drawer and opened it. She saw tons of letters. She pulled the first one out and saw her name. She carefully opened it.

Kyo,

I know you asked me to leave it in the past, but I can't. Ever since that night when I was still out there, I would close my eyes and think of my friends and family. The last images that always crossed my mind were My Mother, Ochaco, and Eri. But then it became you. You are the last thing I would see when I fell asleep out there. I know I messed up, that if I hadn't left you there at the hospital, maybe I wouldn't be writing you this stupid letter.

It wasn't a mistake; what we shared that night wasn't a mistake. Kyoka Jiro, I am in love with you. I stepped back because you asked me to, but this isn't how I want our story to end. I want it to end with you in my arms. The final battle is looming, and I may not make it back, but I want you to know that if I don't, my last thoughts will be of you.

If you are reading this and I didn't make it back, I'm sorry I hurt you. I hope and pray that I handed this to you and ran. Meet me on the roof if you feel the same; if not, I will understand and do as you ask.

Izuku.

Kyoka gently folded the letter, her mind drifting to after the battle. She remembered him coming to see her, but Denki had been hurt badly, and she was beside him. He had just come to check on them, he said, before he turned and walked away. She couldn't remember if he had a letter in his hand. Her mind told her he had something, but she couldn't be sure. She carefully put it back. Seeing others in there, she closed the drawer and exited the room.

-Momo & Izuku-

"I wanted to see you again, but not for a press conference," Izuku said as he straightened his hero suit.

"Well, it did clear up part of my day; Mother called. We are to attend a dinner at our earliest convenience." She said, smiling when she saw his shoulders slump. "Father wanted me to point out that he is available for a meeting with you any time."

"Did you talk with Shoto?" he said.

"Yes, he is disappointed that things didn't work between you and Fuyumi, but he is happy for us," she said, kissing his cheek. "Is there anything we need to discuss?"

"Well, we never did a history talk, but…I slept with Kyoka a long time ago when I was running around trying to stop All for One by myself; that was where she got shot." He said. "I think you should know that."

"I know she told me back when we kissed; she said things were complicated, and that was when I pulled away." She replied.

"Oh," he said, sounding dejected. "Is that why it happened? I wondered if that had something to do with it."

"There is more that you should know before we go any further," Momo sat down, her heart hammering against her chest. Izuku knew the other shoe was about to drop, but he wasn't sure what size it was. "About three years ago, I was in New York, and Kyoka and I re-connected. She had just left Denki, I had left Shoto, and we had an affair. It lasted the week. I asked her to come home with me, and she said no."

He sat back in a chair, trying to process what she said. "Does that mean you Bi?"

"It means I had a bi-sexual experience with Kyoka," Momo said. "I have found other women attractive, but nothing like that week. It reinforced for me what I wanted, that I wanted someone who wanted to be with me and wanted to feel alive. I thought maybe I had made a mistake separating from Shoto, but that confirmed that I had made the right choice."

"So what you are saying is that we both had sex with the same woman; at one point, we both wanted to be with her and now, years later, we are together." He said quietly. "I have to ask one thing?"

"Anything, Izuku," Momo said; she was terrified of what he might say.

"Do you love me? I need to know that you love me. That I am not some placeholder for someone else." He said quietly. "I don't think I could handle that."

"Izuku, I love you; you are not a placeholder for anyone." She said, walking over and taking his hand. "I will never leave you or walk away; the only person I put above your well-being is Eri. I suspect you will do the same, which is perfectly fine. I want to be with you, I hope one day we get married, and I get to bear your children. No one has made me feel like you do; no one has ever come close."

"You want to get married to me someday?" he whispered.

"Yes, we have been friends for so many years; I know what kind of man you are. We have been in a relationship for years without the physical aspect. Dates and outings masquerading as galas or events," Momo said, lifting his face to look at her. "I know we have only been together for a few days, but as long as things keep going well as I dream, they will; yes, I want to get married and have a family. I want that with you."

"Momo, I love you." He said, standing up. "I want all that; I want to be with you, marry you someday, and have a family."

"Good," she said, gently pulling him down for a kiss. "We still have to have dinner with my parents, and you need to talk to my father."

"Gladly," he said, kissing her again. "For you anything."

In Breaking News, it has been confirmed that Creati and Deku are an official couple. After the news broke of a spicey date, they held a press conference today to confirm that they are dating. The couple sighted years of friendship and a close working relationship. We wish them the best of luck.

In other news, the Pro-Hero Angel Beats was seen in action yesterday during a bank robbery; she, along with Deku, Battle Fist, and Red Riot, responded and brought the situation to a swift end. Is this here to return to Japan? The pro heroine had a career in America spanning heroics and music. Still, separation from her husband/bandmate/teammate Chargebolt had sent her underground, but she seems to have returned to Japan. We hope this isn't the last time we see her.

Kyoka was lying in the spare bedroom; she reached over and clicked off the television. Her arm rested on her head, and she couldn't get Iuzku out of her mind. Her mind drifted back to the night on the balcony, his hand reaching out for her to take. "I should have taken his hand," she whispered as tears fell.

You are far gone.
All the way to your island of rain
It wasn't just a one-night thing.
You were much more to me.
Just so you know.
