Author's Note: Hey, everyone. I'm back after a couple of months. Sorry this took a while. I know everyone is very eager to see this story continue, but please understand that I can't update this fanfic every single week. Believe me, though, no one wants this to continue more than me.

Anyway, enjoy the chapter. Any and all comments are welcome.

The morning after the phone call, a large, black man in a suit and sunglasses came to the house. He knocked on the door and Nani graciously answered.

"You called." The man said.

"Cobra." Nani greeted. "How are you?"

"Sleepy." The man named Cobra answered. He stepped into the house to find the Guardians of the Galaxy resting in the living room. "I assume these are the other aliens you told me about. The 'Guardians of the Galaxy'?"

"That's us, all right." Peter said. "And you must be the government guy Nani told us about. Cobra… Bubbles, was it?"

"Yes." Cobra said.

"I am Groot."

"Yeah, Groot just said that your name is both intimidating and adorable at the same time." Rocket said.

"What took you so long?" Drax asked. "We've been up all night waiting for you."

"Drax, don't' say that. It's rude." Mantis said.

"How can it be rude?" Drax asked. "All I did was ask a question before stating a fact."

"Forgive them. They're idiots." Gamora said.

"I can see that." Cobra said. "In any case, it's time for a proper introduction. I am Cobra Bubbles, agent of S.W.O.R.D."

"S.W.O.R.D.?" Peter asked. "What's that?"

"Sentient Worlds Observation and Response Division." Cobra replied. "We monitor all alien presences on Earth and protect it from hostile invaders."

"Guess that explains a lot." Nani commented.

"Cobra!" Pleakley yelled as he ran into the living room and latch his hands on Cobra's collar. "Thank goodness. It's terrible. Just terrible. Jumba's been…"

"Kidnapped."

"That's right. By…"

"Dr. Hamsterviel."

"And he's demanding a…"

"Ransom."

"Of the…

"Other Experiments."

Pleakley was silent for a minute. "You're good. How do you know all that stuff?"

"Information is power, and I like power." Cobra responded.

"Do you think he also knows that we accidently let one of the Experiments loose on the island?" Peter asked in a very quiet tone.

"I don't think so." Gamora whispered back. "Just keep it to yourself."

"What do you think we should do?" Nani asked.

"Wait for Hamsterviel's next call." Cobra said. "Once we have the rendezvous location, Pleakley and I will exchange all the remaining Experiments for Jumba. From there, we follow the governmental procedure."

"And what's the governmental procedure?" Rocket asked. "Does it have to do with wiping that smirk off of Jacques' face for good?"

"I'm sorry, but that information is classified until further notice." Cobra answered. "This is now an intergalactic incident. We are to take no further action other than what I have indicated. Is that clear… Lilo?" The agent turned to Lilo and Stitch who were found listening in from the nearby hallway.

"Yep." Lilo answered. "Me and Stitch are gonna go out and play. And not take further action."

"No action." Stitch repeated before he and Lilo walked out the front door.

"Uh… We should probably go with them." Peter said. "You know, adult supervision and all that."

Once the Guardians all joined Lilo and Stitch outside, they dropped their calm acts.

"Does anyone else see the flaw in that man's plan?" Peter asked.

"Yeah." Mantis said. "Hamsterviel wants all 624 Experiments that he hasn't taken."

"I thought there were 625 Experiments left." Drax said.

"It doesn't matter." Gamora said. "The point is, as long as Experiment 221 is on the loose, there's one of those little monsters short. And if Hamsterviel catches that, it could all go downhill fast."

"So we've got to find the sparkly, little, electrical one we lost or no Jumba." Lilo said. "We've got to search the entire island."

"Maybe not." Rocket said. He reached behind him and pulled out a small, handheld device. "That government stooge was taking forever to get here, so I had time on my hands. I put together a little scanner. Whenever we're near an electrical overload, it'll let us know."

"You mean we can find 221 with that thing?" Gamora asked.

"Yeah. I just said that, didn't I?" Rocket asked.

"Then let's go." Lilo said.

"Hold it, kid." Peter said. "Don't forget, I'm the leader of this group. I get to say when we get to go… But yeah. Like the kid said. Let's go."

Stitch entered Cobra's car and pulled out a pair of wires from underneath the glove compartment. He had the two touch each other which started the car.

"Kanjijibe. Zz-zz."

"Well, that's one way of getting around town." Peter said as he entered the car.

The others joined him inside the car before he began driving. However, he didn't even make it out the driveway before running over a garbage can. Everyone gave him judgemental looks.

"I was eight years old when I left Earth!" Peter said. "Why would I know any more about driving one of these things than you do?"

"Let me drive." Rocket said. "I was cybernetically designed to master any vehicle."

"Spaceships, Rocket. You master spaceships." Peter argued. "Any idiot can master a car."

"Then does that make you less than an idiot?" Rocket asked.

"Pressed for time." Gamora groaned.

"Fine. Let's go." Peter said driving out into the city.

"Is it always like this with you guys?" Lilo asked.

"No." Mantis said. "Some days, it's much worse."

"Let's see what's on the radio." Peter said as he turned on the radio. He turned the dial until he found a song he was waiting for. "Oh! This song is too perfect!"

"One way or another

I'm gonna find ya'

I'm gonna getcha, getcha, getcha

One way or another

I'm gonna win ya'

I'm gonna getcha, getcha, getcha"

All around town, the Guardians, Lilo, and Stitch drove in their search for the missing Experiment while listening to Blondie's song. Their search lead to the Birds of Paradise Hotel where they witnessed all the guests running out the door screaming in terror.

"I'm thinking he's this way." Lilo said.

"What was your first clue?" Rocket asked.

"Mine was the screaming humans." Drax said.

Shortly after entering the hotel, the group found themselves at the outdoor tiki room with bamboo scaffolding hanging above them.

"This looks promising." Lilo observed.

Rocket pulled out his device and examined it. "According to my invention, 221 should be around here."

"Well, where is he?" Gamora asked.

"Ikata!" Stitch shouted pointing up at the scaffolding. The yellow experiment was finally seen flying across and blowing up every lantern he passed through.

"Let's not let him get away!" Peter said as he put on his helmet. He tapped his rocket boots and hovered upwards. He fired his quad blasters right in front of 221 to control where he would be going while Stitch climbed up to chase after him.

"Meega nala kweesta!" 221 shouted angering Stitch. The two of them stood face to face against each other before Lilo called out to her best friend.

"GRAB HIM, STITCH!" Lilo shouted. She readied a purple flower vase for Stitch to knock 221 in.

221 wouldn't let him. He sent out an electrical attack which stunned Stitch enough to knock him over. Thankfully, Star-Lord was able to fly and catch him. When 221 flew down toward Peter, he pulled out his quad blaster to fire again, but it was too late. 221 had already entered the gun and shorted it out in his hand.

"Hey! I needed that!" Peter shouted as 221 exited the gun and landed on the table. Unfortunately, Drax was waiting for him. He came up behind the electric experiment before swinging a bamboo stick at him knocking him off the table. Groot managed to catch him in his branches and quickly shoved him in the vase. Lilo flipped it over leaving no way for 221 to break free.

"We got him!" Lilo cheered.

"For the record," Rocket said, "I want everyone to know, that the vase thing was my plan before you screwed it up."

"Let it go already!" Gamora shouted.

After catching 221, the Guardians brought him to Stitch's room where the blue Experiment was then left alone with him. At first, 221 snarled angrily at him, but as soon as Stitch began flapping his ears, he was then intrigued. He flapped his own ears back at him. Stitch then stood up and grew two extra arms underneath his existing ones. 221 happily did the same thing. And when Stitch picked his nose with his own tongue, 221 did as well.

"Oh, cousin!" Stitch said sweetly as he hugged the vase holding 221. Right after that, the Guardians returned with Lilo holding a drawing of 221 with half of his body filled with the color red.

"I've been working on your chart." She said. "As you can see, it's not nearly as bad as Stitch's was."

"I don't want to know how you calculated all that with just a crayon." Rocket said.

"Not that it matters anyway." Gamora said. "We need to turn this Experiment in."

"No!" Stitch defied standing between the Guardians and 221.

"What do you mean, no?" Lilo asked. "We've gotta get Jumba back."

"Cousin." Stitch said hugging 221's vase again. "Ohana.

"Did we miss something?" Peter asked. "I feel like we missed something."

"How can this creature be your cousin?" Drax asked.

"Well, not an actual cousin. I think he means he's part of the ohana." Lilo said. "And you know what, Stitch. You're right. It's like I said. We're all one big happy family."

"Oh, perfect." Rocket groaned. "Now, we're listening to a little girl."

"Come on, Rocket. It's not like we can just take 221 from her." Peter said. "Well, we could, but I'd feel like a jerk if we did."

"Then be a jerk!" Rocket shouted. "What's wrong with you people? We only have one chance to take out Jacques, but the only way we can get close enough to him is if we had every last Experiment to give him! And now, we're down one because of the kid's delusion!"

"All right! That tears it!" Peter said. "What is your deal, Rocket?"

"Me? You're all my deal! You all keep dragging me down and holding me back!"

"Something else is bothering you, is it?" Mantis asked.

"Stay out of my head, Mantis! No one invited you!"

"We don't need an empath to know there's something you're not telling us." Gamora said. "You took the job from the Galactic Alliance without bargaining for a price, which is unlike you. You tried to release an Experiment even though we told you they were off limits."

"She's right, Rocket." Peter said. "You were hard to work with before, but ever since the Grand Council Woman's office, you've been impossible."

"You don't understand how much this means to me." Rocket said with a rising frustration in his tone. "I don't care if it's dangerous! I don't care if I'm defying orders! I'm taking the best course to find Jacques and bring him down!"

"Why does it mean that much to you?" Lilo asked.

"BECAUSE HE ABANDONED US!"

The room fell silent after Rocket's outburst. As soon as he realized what he just said, he lowered his head and breathed heavily before continuing.

"A long time ago… I knew Jacques. Back then, it was just me, him, and another one named Lyla. They were… my ohana." Lilo gave him a sympathetic look.

"Really?" Peter asked. "You mean you were actually friends with that guy? What happened?"

"We had a plan." Rocket admitted. "We were gonna escape those mad scientists who experimented on us together. But it all went wrong very quickly."
