AN: If you didn't know, my mother had broken her tibia. It's still broken but we're hoping that surgery isn't needed. It was a very clean break. Unfortunately that meant that my last post didn't get the last round of edits because I was running on three hours of sleep and a desperate need for food since I was cleaning my house.

I still need to clean my house but my mother is home and the next chapter is here. Enjoy.

According to Yuzu and Karin, the first day of school had gone well. They were telling Isshin, Ichigo, Sado and the accompanying Kagami all about how their day went at their school. Their own schedule followed their Japanese classes pretty closely. The classes tended to stay in one class outside of a few classes that needed a specialized set up, which included their science class and their physical education class.

They had chosen a different language then the other though so during that period went to different classes. Yuzu had decided to do Arabic while Karin had gone for Spanish, promising to share lessons with each other.

Ichigo in turn told them about his own classes and how his physical education class had been replaced with an Art program since he was a part of a local dojo for solo practice and weekend classes for his martial arts. He had had decided to do Arabic with Sado since Sado had made sure that he knew Spanish. Sado told them that the PE classes were okay. They would be doing sports based classes later on in the year but was currently working on refreshing stretches and runs. He wasn't worried since he kept in good shape.

After they ate dinner, Kagami having been allowed a day off of her after-school activities to spend time with her family, she left, stating that she still had to work on her homework before bed. Ichigo had admitted that it was very nice that most of their assignments could be completed during their free study time since they were simply packets to be filled out on their tablets for the moment.

He did have a list of essays and when they were due written out in his book, but it wasn't due until next Monday and they weren't to long. Mostly they were starter essays to make sure that the teachers could trust them to write a proper essay.

With Kagami heading home, the girls headed to their own room, Sado said his own goodbyes to them and Ichigo, wanting to do some work and the last of his homework before he planned out his essays. Ichigo just smiled and gave him a good by kiss before the other male left the apartment, heading down to his own. Alone, Ichigo headed into his shared office space, finding his father as his own desk, flipping through a few files with a frown.

"How is work treating you so far?" Ichigo asked as he put his backpack down on his desk, sitting in his chair. He started to pull things out, plugging in his tablet before logging on, then pulling out his books and setting them on the small table next to his desk, keeping his first book next to him. He set his organizer out and opened to the first page of things that he had to do while he placed his notebooks onto the desk.

"It's treating me well enough, I suppose. I was kind of surprised that there weren't quite as many souls wandering the halls though," Isshin admitted. He looked over to Ichigo and smiled at his son as he watched him set things up. He was always fascinated with the way that Ichigo kept his desk when it came to school work. Everything had a place to sit so that he could easily get at as he needed, and the desk itself was always organized.

"I've heard from Byakuya that because of all of the magic that is floating around right now, the Grim Reapers have been working to make sure that souls don't linger. They're not quite sure what will end up happening if they stay to long in such an enviroment," Ichigo admitted. He pulled out the letters from Byakuya and his Grim Reaper contact, handing them over to his father to read. "They make sure that there's at least a couple of Reapers near the hospital to collect them on the day they pass. There are a few who wander Paris, but most souls are easily able to pass over on their own without an issue as long as they weren't a part of the Akuma attacks."

Isshin hummed, taking the letters and nodding his head. "That sounds like a good plan to deal with souls," he mused. He smiled softly at his child. "Have you figured out where the butterflies are coming from?" he asked. Ichigo shook his head.

"No. It looks as if Papillion has figured out how to hide his magical trail enough that they just 'appear' in different places. We've been marking the place that they appear in, but we'll need help from Ladybug-san and Chat-san eventually," he said. He turned his chair to face his father, resting his chin on a hand and his elbow on the arm. "We do have an idea as to who the Guardian is. There's a Chinese massage parlor that is what it looks like but there is some lingering power around it. I want to eventually go check it out. But I am not going near there without a good reason to do it just yet," Ichigo said. "The guy is highly paranoid from what my contacts said, and from what I know about what happened, it's not a surprise."

"Having to hide away for two hundred years while trying to protect a very important box? Yeah, that's not a surprise," Isshin agreed. "I was paranoid for a while there after I lost my powers after all."

"Yeah, but the Seireitei didn't really give many fucks about you since you were considered 'dead'," Ichigo drawled, cackling at the pout he got from his father. "They only really care now that you were somehow able to hide from them. The same way that they pout over the fact that Urahara and the Vizards had escaped them. Anyways, we'll work it out eventually. I just have this feeling that things will start to really pick up soon anyways. I just need to wait for it to happen. I've been going over this Ladyblog and the new blog that started last week to."

Isshin shoved his chair away from the desk as Ichigo pulled out his personal laptop, opening the two sites once he had woken it up and logged in. "The Ladyblog has gotten to a point of not being informative about the akuma battles and the heroes at all, but is more about gossip and worshiping a girl. Her name is Rossi Lila," he said as he showed his father the articles that had gone from useful to nothing but gossip and bragging. "The past posts do have a lot of good information, including where the Akuma's were popping up and what they were. It's as if the butterfly man has way to much time on his hands since they popped up at all hours of the day without a care. I do think that he might be in a business that pays him good enough to have a lot of free time and freedom of schedule. Might be a recluse," Ichigo admitted.

"Do you think that he's doing all of this in a fit of desperation?" Isshin asked as he frowned to himself. "As if he's doing all of this for some great reason? What else could it be that is pushing him to get the Miraculous' so hard?"

Ichigo sighed, slumping in his seat. "I think that he wants to use the wish," he admitted. He frowned at one hand, inspecting his nails in though as he crossed his legs. "From the history that I have found that came from the past Ladybugs and Cats, every time someone used the wish for their own needs, it was founded in desperation. Saving someone from a deadly disease. A need for healthy vibrant land. It could be anything from fearing death to bringing someone back from illness or near death."

"I have a feeling that all of those would and did bring consequences?" Isshin asked. Ichigo nodded.

"One person who tried to get his wish to be the ultimate ruler ended up being stabbed in the back. In return the Roman Empire was destroyed in the long run. Atlantis went down because the one who got their wish for knowledge and wisdom had killed one of the partners and was utterly destroyed when the other went insane from their imbalance. It sunk the city from the power used," Ichigo said. "And of course, Pompeii was covered in ash. The land is rich in nutrients now but no one was left alive to turn the soil and use it. If he's after eternal life, it's likely that everyone that he loves and anyone of his blood or connected by his blood will die in return. If they want to bring someone back from an illness or near death, they'll lose someone in return if not set off a new plague. Either way the magic of the Wish will force balance back into the world. It's not a nice bit of magic."

"So not only do we need to work to stop him from stealing the Miraculous' but we have to make sure that he can never use them to cast the wish as to save him from his own desperation," Isshin summarized. Ichigo nodded. "Great. Wonderful. Just what I wanted to do in Paris: Stop an egomaniac from killing off his loved ones or fucking things up so badly for everyone just for some temporary happiness."

Ichigo hummed and shut off his computer after he had sent the links to the chat that he had with his father, putting his laptop back in it's holding slot so he could work on his homework. "I'll keep an eye out on things and hopefully meet with the person behind the mask of Ladybug soon," he said. Isshin nodded and smiled at his child, approving of his plans.

He knew just how hard a mission like what Ichigo and Sado were doing since it included a lot of waiting, researching and watching. But it looked as if Ichigo was doing well in finding things to fill in the slow times. Between his school and making new friends, Ichigo was noticeably finding himself relaxing in new ways that he hadn't for a good long time. Not since the Seireitei had walked into their lives at least.
