The Past Meets The Future- Part 3: The Past And Present Reborn

Warnings: There is going to be a slight pause regarding the extended version to what happened between his withdrawal and rebound and the end of it. As I lost several chapters when updating the chapter on truths out. Regarding who it was that caused his to really quit and thr reason why. So it's going to take me a few days to get the rest of it out, regarding the ending to Need.
Before the rest of the story is finished and it goes from 2369 and into 1893, but there will several indications saying there are changes in that area. Before Hammond's age group gets into the military and leading into their new future. And before the next half of the chapter as it reaches Hammond's meeting with SG-1 as the team ends up in 1969, as they see Hammond in his early 30's.
Chapter 97: SGC Truths: The IOA Gets The Truth XIII
"All SGA teams and scientists that are switching departments, I want you to lock up your lockers here at the SGC. Report to the launching pad, and stow gear in your designated jumpers. Repeat all SGA/Atlantis expedition members get your gear, and fly it out of here, report to the SGA immediately, we start first thing in the morning!" Daniel called out into the radio and they nodded as they lifted off one by one and left the base.
As he pulled on his SGA mission jacket and over his jumpsuit then and the trio all paled, realizing he was joining the members that just left then. "So you see, I can't be removed from the Stargate program, because I'm working for the IOA now. The leaders of the entire program, who, in truth are the United Nations, they hired me. But better pay, reasonable hours, I get to study to my hearts content now, no coming back empty."
"I'm still in the program, just in another sector of it now, but our mandate is research and exploration, like the Enterprise D. As for my clothes, why I'm dressed in blue rather then green here now, is that's the base color. Cold as ice, but considering we're living in the antarctic, makes perfect sense, and maybe now. Is I can get my research done and without you screwing it up. he said and the duo paled in shock at the remark.
Now realizing their plan backfired then. "Dad, I'll call you when Nicky, Sarah and I get settled, but we're moving tonight and bringing it to our house." he said he said and Hammond nodded gently to him then. "Alright you be careful and I'll see you when you find the next payoff." he said and Daniel nodded as he hugged him tightly then. "Hank, he's under your command starting now." Hammond said and Landry nodded smiling then.
"On who's authority, he's a civilian, a security risk." Maybourne said to him in shock and anger. "Freeze, Colonel Maybourne, stand down, right now?!" they heard a stern shout at that remark then sternly at that. "The joint chiefs and I rescinded the original decision, Daniel has our full support and full authority now. As of now, by me, your commander in chief, to go with the Tollan and Lya of the Nox."
"But for the duration Daniel is going with them to get us a way to salvaged this situation right now, so it's a lose one/win one now. And his commander on this mission of search and retrieval is General Hank Landry starting now. George, I'm hereby removing Daniel from your command effective immediately." they heard and Maybourne quickly turned to see President Bill Clinton and he nodded.
As seven Ambassadors also walked in the door then. "Hello gentlemen, I am Russel Chapman, this is Eleazar Charlotti, Colonel Pavel Chekhov. Peter Kwang, Shen Xioya, Mitchell Kwan and Jean La Pierre, we are members of the U.N.. And with it, are 7 of 500 countries that created IOA, what is the IOA exactly. The IOA is a planetary government that runs the way the Stargates on earth are being used here."
"In your words, we are beuracrats, so tell me why should we be pulling strings, risking the lives of billions, from earth to our colony ring. Well that psychosis is the very reason why, but you are not under fire, whose lives. And why, why act now when our soldiers are only in training with the system lords. And said only the ones who we belong to, but that thinking puts you in your military jail."
"We and every senator and congressmen all over your country had this conversation, we all agree with this. Even the SOC had a fast talk, and they said the same thing, unless there is a very severe threat we are on DEFCON 4. All of us who been studying Daniel's records in bringing in results. We all see this, that he deserves as much leeway as possible to bring in results right now."
"We're not even as corrupted as Senator Kinsey who is part of the SOC, but then the gates are owned by the entire planet. So tell me, how can one simple senator decide to deactivate the SGC if there is an orbital attack. And for the good and safety of earth, and keep to our agreement with the seven right now. We know you tried to sabotage the pact we made with the eight at the time."
"Fortunately for you Major, Daniel talked Ra into surrendering as he decided to go into hibernation. Stasis and the war is now focused on renegades, just renegades and other renegade threats, like our war on terrorism. And when we of the entire planet can over rule that decision as every gate has an iris. Every country is ready to fight and the weapon is manned and ready to go right now."
"To put this bluntly gentlemen, the SGC is military ran, but the IOA runs the entire program, so the SGA, that once was before your bosses. Generals West and Vidrine militarized the program, was re-established and were back. The SGA is goverment ran with military help, and Daniel requested a transfer. Back to his original sector, so that's where he is going." He said and they swallowed hard then.
"To put this bluntly, you are trying to enforce your ideas of the Cold War, but there is no Cold war, no rivalries between our countries at all. No violence, no wars, complete peace, but does that stop you from trying to stir up the hornets nest. No it doesn't, as such we were created to prevent any and all acts of terrorism by arresting the instigators." Shen said and they paled at that remark.
"The fact there is no Cold War, no KGB, CIA, even M16, we're interpol, preventing all acts of drugs and terrorism from entering other countries. All wars ended during the last and final war between your country. And whoever it was in 1865, since that time, in 133 years ago, your type now. Think all this peace is boring and wanting more action stirring up the hornets nest."
"As such that's why, when we were old enough to take the torch, decided to end all future wars, strifes and block off countries to your soldier types. As your types are terrorists, you officers that are all hardcore soldiers. We reached our limit of wars and created a new global network. One designed to prevent what is turning into a psychosis on Daniel." she added and they looked at her in shock.
"Planetary government, you were created to stop all acts of terrorism and you consider us terrorists, why exactly?!" John asked in shock at that the gate room door opened and the 7 walked into the room and the trio paled then. "To insure nothing interferes with the treaty, we know you think we are taking our time. In gathering our forces till we send an all out assault against your planet."
"And your colony ring and we are not, Colonel Jackson explained to us what happened, regarding Ra, Major O'neill. But that was just a misunderstanding, but be warned now, Colonels Makepeace and Maybourne. Your acts of insolence cruelty and other areas towards our planets are very serious. Continue with them and you will be arrested by us or the renegades ourselves now Colonels."
"Now heed my warning now humans, but be warned if you continue to use the stargate, then best be warned if you, your soldier type. But if you get captured by the system lords, then you will be shown no mercy, you will suffer greatly. As of this moment, you are walking a very fine line of crossing us, but the only attacks you have gotten, since Artemis was killed this year are by renegades."
"Apophis and Nirrti, just them, but we were told that Hathor was just let out, were it not for the female soldiers of the SGC or Colonel Jackson. Your base would become her nest and she would begin to infest your planet. With more genuine Goa'uld and our friend is the queen and mortal enemy. And to Hathor herself, she is the leader of the Tok'ra, or resistance in the English language."
"I will say this again, you are being warned by us, but stay out of our way and do not cross us and we will leave you to your day to day lives." Cronus said and they swallowed hard at that as Daniel bowed to them and the seven smiled. "Welcome my lords and ladies, there was an issue of reason in why, now. Recruiting soldiers like these three was so hazardous, reason being right now, is this."
"They are part of a military grouping that specializes in chronic paranoia, but they are the ones that barely killed Ra and joined with Hathor. And under the influence of her Nish'tae, under the influence, they attacked me. But they convinced themselves I was dangerous and mentally unstable. When they willingly helped her and when our loyalty belongs to you seven and Egeria."
"Now, but Hathor and Nirrti are the first of 17 renegade system lords to go in your name, I swear to it." he said and the quartet smiled in satisfaction at that as the only female system lord answered him. "Colonel Jackson best wear our emblems, they will get you safely by on our planets. And as you travel on your own as you go on your journey." Amaterasu said and he bowed gently in respect to her at that.
"Thank you for the advice I will do so, but high recommendation, is our diseases do not infect you, but yours do us, so recommendation?" he asked and the trio exchanged looks at the suggestion and Cronus tapped Addison on the shoulder at the look and he nodded to him. "Forget it gentlemen, every idea you have, regarding this in stealing from our allies or antagonizing the seven or renegades is shot."
"The biological weapons crap is also out gentlemen, as such right now, Daniel wants a chance to return to who he used to be. And before you turned this into a war, so that is why I am here and with me, AMRIID. The president and the IOA, we're here to tell you that the mission prerogatives just switched course. Work at the SGC slows down, but at SGA, it speeds up now, as such now."
"SGC slows down to walking distance, because we don't need our allies stuff we do need them, and with them, our top minds in military departments. George, I am hereby re-assigning Daniel to the SGA and he does the searches. The ones that have your department slowing down in getting results at the moment." Addison said and Hammond nodded smiling proudly at Daniel as he said it then gently.
"Yes Sir and I thank you, I will not lose my son." he said and Clinton nodded as they, Addison, Landry, Carson and Warren walked into the gate room to greet Lya. "Nice try gentlemen, but like Rob Carson, Dillon Warren and Darrel Matheson. Well I am also a friend of Daniel Jackson's parents, and he came to me. In regarding re-assignment and I granted it as he searches out a threshold of technology."
"As I granted a change in command for him and he's staying with the Nox, before heading out on his own for a few weeks right now. There are better ways to bring in technology, then to try and hold people hostage and Danny. He is about to demonstrate that to all of you by going on this mission at the moment now." Addison said and Maybourne, John and Makepeace looked at him in shock at that.
"So what's the deal, gentlemen huh, he can work at the SGA, to you it's 'all in, or not at all' is that correct, you fire him. But you don't let him go completely, still need him for translations, but that is all you need him for now. Well never mind that, as before you could decide on that, George signed his release and he's free to go. I accepted his resignation papers and assigned him a new military commander now."
"And I am a full five star, you are just colonels and a major, so my decision stands, unfortunately for you right now. I too am an old friend of the Jackson, Matheson and Warren families." he said and they paled at that as Eric O'neill walked in the door and John swallowed hard at that. "Dad what are you doing here exactly?!" John asked and he smiled sternly as Jack moved to him at that as he said it.
"George and Rob told me your psychosis, regarding Hathor, I know all about this, but you're walking a fine line. And of ending up back in the psyche ward young man, your brother served here at the base for 7 years. As you recently just started, but you're trained to fight mind control. Well your abilities don't stand up against goa'uld techniques, Johnny." he said and Addison finished that.
"Daniel's been traveling around the galaxy since he was a cub, he never got arrested, before. So why would he now exactly, now that he works solo, boys, why?" he asked as the generals waited for the response. "Sir, he could sell us out, you can't let him go!" John quickly said to him at that. "John's right, he's a traitor, he's going to sell us out, you can't let him transfer or let him leave earth, Sir."
"He's a goa'uld sympathizer, and a traitor." Makepeace said and they nodded as they just stood there smiling with stern looks on their faces. "Indeed, he is loyal only to us Colonel, Major, but he will not tell the renegades anything. We are his lords and ladies, he will protect us with his life, so very fair warning. Attempt to have him assassinated or worse and our retribution is thrown at you now."
"But we are not the ones giving out your worst nightmare in punishment, that is and will be Ba'al's doing." Camulus said to him sternly at that. "There, thank you for confirming my thoughts on you and and Major O'neill, right now, Colonel Makepeace." Addison said to him sternly at that remark."Stepped right in there, didn't you, gentlemen, that was a test to confirm our thoughts right now."
"Just to test your psychosis, you hated him ever since Hathor as he resisted her and you didn't. And the fact we gave him your missions, but you turned on us during Hathor, he was raped at the time, you willingly went in there. Just to be turned into a Jaffa, Major, you barely missed killing Frasier that day, Colonel. So you just confirmed my thoughts now." Carson said, walking into the 'gate room.
And they paled at that as they looked at Daniel who had a smirk on his face. "You set us up Jackson, you bastard, how could you?!" Makepeace shouted at him in anger. "He didn't set 'you' up, you set yourselves up by that remark, we just ran a test on you now, Colonel, Major. To see if your thinking never changed and since Hathor, well guess what, you just confirmed your psychological reports to me."
"And to Generals Hammond and Carson, but AMRIID and the joint chiefs decided to confirm Carson's opinions. That you never changed your thinking, you convinced yourselves he's the traitor. He tried to commit suicide at the time and he's dangerous." Janet said as she also walked in then and they swallowed hard at that remark as she stood between Carson and Hammond and they paled at that.
"What..., excuse me?!" John said in shock and they both nodded sternly. "Yes that's right we knew you were hoping Maybourne threw him out of the program. But too late for that as our base was ready to be activated, he just switched sectors. But instead of the SGC, we are called the SGA, we have two generals in position working at that base, but a civilian matter comes into this now finally major."
"And here's the add on, the base and military family homes, all of them are connected to each other, homes the size of a two story house. The base is comprised of our settlement, which is a smaller version. And to the Enterprise, but we live and work in that settlement. That is surrounding Earth's primary defensive system for orbital attacks and from the renegades right now."
"But do you know why we had you charged for court martial two months ago, when Daniel turned you into us for attacking him at the time. Especially if you never told Maybourne, Vidrine and West the truth. You guys committed treason and espionage at the time right now here?" Matheson asked as he walked in the room and they paled at that and as John realized what he was saying at that as Maybourne looked between them quickly.
"What are you talking about Sir, what thoughts at the moment." Maybourne said and the quintet ignored him and as they looked at the duo at that. "Yeah that's what we figured, you never told him the truth, that you were helping her. You guys were drugged, in withdrawal and delirious that Rob here. Dr. Frasier had to put you in detox, that you attacked Daniel for the second time in seven months."
"That you convinced yourselves he tried to kill himself and he was now a traitor when you committed espionage." Matheson said, moving towards them. "Captain Sheppard, Colonel Samuels, please come to the gate room. And bring Lieutenant Adams and Drs. Weir, Keller and Mckay with you, as time is up and time to reveal the truth now." Hammond said into his radio and 10 minutes later the sextet walked into the room then.
"Where are you guys going, Colonel?" Makepeace asked and they waited till Hammond opened up a portal above the control room as they saw a jumper. "So sell us out, how could he when Johnny Sheppard is waiting to yank him out. And if necessary?" Matheson asked and they froze up. "What?!" Makepeace said in shock and they nodded sternly as Hammond answered his question as he said it sternly.
"Yeah that's right, we're sending his unit with him at the moment, but when he makes a hit, but then, and only then is he coming back to the SGC, to report it. But Dr. Raynor, you and Lieutenant Gary Sanderson, report to the gate room, pronto." he said and the duo ran into the room."Lieutenant, your job on this mission, as soon as he reports in, is to keep Dr. Raynor company there."
"I want you, Captain Lorne and Dr. Raynor to join with Daniel's unit, Daniel deactivate the cloak now!" Matheson said for him and he turned it off to reveal his real uniform, as they saw the entire 3 1/2 pips in the neck collar and paled, realizing he was the next rank up. "Star Trek TNG uniforms, I know the navy ranks are matched to ours in the Army. As well as the Air Force and the Marines, but four pips, he's not a civilian at all here."
"He's a full Lieutenant Colonel?!" Makepeace shouted in shock and they nodded and then he paled at that as he said it quickly. " Not a full bird, but a Lieutenant Colonel, despite the fact O'neill's twin suggested we stayed on the planet. Despite that, John and I took our team and left to return to earth. We brought the virus back to earth, despite the fact that the president said to value the science and culture value of each mission."
"When the virus hit him, he attacked Jackson and Jackson is not a civilian at all, but a Lieutenant Colonel?!" he said, shaking in shock and they nodded sternly to him. "I'm glad when on the base we wore these, when out in the field we're blue teams now. Everyone knows, blue is good, green okay, green gone red, that's bad, none more so then then NID. We can't lift off, but we can work from our own base." Daniel said and Landry nodded smiling gently then.
"Yes that's right young man, for the last 9 months since the NID came into the picture. We been working at establishing a new base that is keepng control now. And of earth's main defensive system against the renegade system lords. And that jumper, is owned by the first team created for that base now finally."
"But their unit is designated SG-1, the A, that stands for the Antarctica outpost, or once we find the lost city of Atlantis. The A stands for Atlantis so stargate Association now, we control the weapon. And that jumper we found at the outpost, it belongs to Daniel's team, himself and the quintet." Hammond said as Landry walked into the room and with him was Picard's double and they nodded in shock.
"You struck a superior and a officer, you know the rules, Major, why did we court martial you and arrest you two months ago." Carson asked and he paled as he realized what happened in why he got arrested the day Hathor was there. "Not once, but twice, you hit him and attacked him twice, so therefore now. It's you just wrecked your career in the SGC by not controlling yourself at the time."
"You are not SGC at all you're both turning Nova and as we all know what happens to Nova officers if they get caught by the admirals at the academy. As you're in your training periods boys, us officers that work here. And longer then 9 months are considered full officers, you boys. You are in your training phase as the SGC went active after Apophis." Landry said sternly to them at that remark.
"Who are you Sirs?" Makepeace asked and they crossed their arms. "We're the leaders of the SGA, Daniel's new branch, he's under our command now. And starting now, but as you can see here, he is not a civilian at all, he's your rank. But gentlemen, he's not under your authority, he's under mine, but mine young man, he's my subordinate, truth is we had this planned from the get go."
"My name is Major General Hank Landry, George's fellow general of the opposite program, we're called the SGA, Daniel's the SGA mole in your ranks, Robert. We been waiting for this moment to come now, the SGA is now fully activated." he said and they paled at that news. "Every government in the U.N. just created the IOA, which controls the stargate program, Daniel works for the IOA now."
"And my name is Major General Jean Pierre Luc Picard, I am French American and the secondary leader or the SGA. Alright son, come on." he said and Picard nodded in shock. "That's my grandfather, he looks just like me Hank, George." he said and Hammond nodded, smiling as the team went to parade rest as they too deactivated their cloaks to reveal their new uniforms as the trio were in red and Rod in gold.
And Keller was in sky blue. "We're characterized by our department ranks, gentlemen, remember the next generation. We're their ancestors, so we created their ideals, SGC is code for Starfleet. SGA, is code. And for the research branch of the Federation, as I am secondary leader, he's my subordinate." Picard said as he deactivated his cloak to reveal a red uniform and with a gold circle in the neck collar.
And a single silver pip next to it as they paled at that as they looked between Daniel and him in shock, before looking at Samuels. And saw three in his neck collar, and Sheppard with two silvers pips in his, as Landry deactivated his and they saw the same indication. And on his uniform, of the same rank as Picard as Weir wrapped her arm around Daniel's back protectively and Mckay, Samuels and Sheppard stood next to Daniel proudly then.
"Before we created the boxes to carry our ranks, as admirals they put the number pips on the neck collar, before the pips went from silver to gold. The first four got removed and then they went to gold, as you then encircled that single one and a single silver pip. That was put next to the single incircled gold one, indicating a two star general, you got up two encircled gold pips that's full general and two of these, plus another silver."
"That meant you were the head general in the United States Air Force." Admiral Vance Patrick Haden said smiling and he nodded to him. "Yes that's how we'll do it at the time, when we started out, we also chose the first 2 years in your uniforms, then in 2003, barring '04. We switched to your current uniforms at the time, the Destiny crew was dressed. And in the purple and grey set with the branch color in the collar when they launched at the time, so for SGC."
"They dressed in standard issue military uniforms, the crew of our flagships, they dressed in Starfleet uniforms of the first two years. But we preferred the show version of your uniforms to what they traded it for on your movies. When Kirk came back into the picture at the time, so we stuck to your version of the starfleet uniforms. And aside from your rank pips in the collar as admirals at the time." Landry said and Picard looked at him.
"Years one and two in our uniforms now, when did you switch to our current ones exactly?" he asked and Landry explained that. "We started those after Steven Raynor came home from being ascended at the time. We decided for appearances sake, so when in the field we dressed in fatigues, when on Atlantis, we dressed in these. We also created the jackets you wear over these uniform shirts at the time as well now."
"The zipper was worn in the front, like the original set you dressed in two years ago, made from the same fabric, cool in the summer and warm in the winter. That when in recreation and we were close to creating a holodeck at the time. We also dressed in the under shirts and work out pants that you guys dressed in the time. But your clothes as they are now were a mixture of the 20th to 21st centuries at the time right now."
"But these are far more comfortable that we also created cub versions of these uniforms and Nicky, that's Danny's oldest son, wore one in transit, here check this." he said as he showed a junior version to the uniform and they chuckled as they got it. "Two steps down from our uniforms, but he looks just Colonel Jackson and Nick at that age." Will said as he said it with a chuckle and he nodded as they listened to the conversation then.
"When Hathor came into the picture we figured it was time to create a secondary base. But that base has ten times the authority that you do Harry, your department. As such, they got areas that call for government programs, government, civilian matter. Non military jurisdiction, but that means he can go to outside sources for help in medical care." he said and they paled at that news.
"In other words Colonel, you over see the SGC, well my department over sees both you and the SGC, we got connections all over the planet. SGA units are matched to their SGC counterparts, as I believe, but you. You, Major are being tested and for the following 8 months leading to SGC reviews. As are you Colonel, and Mckenzie's being left out do this." Picard said sternly to them at that.
"So connect the dots, all he has to do, if you try to set him up, is escape the base, head east or find several more members of our basketball team. And said are all medical and psychiatric doctors, as he brings in score, after score after score. And then he learns they're all heading to Chicago for the annual Medical conference, so take a guess, if that conference is focused on the reason now."
"That he collapsed on us as he suggests they run evaluations and once again, he's showing you up as he's not demonstrating your behavior. After you cut your arm up to the elbow and nearly killed yourself, Major. As they confirm our psychiatric evaluations on yourselves that this behavior is nothing. Nothing but a schoolboy grudge, and you lost your minds." Carson said and they paled at that.
"Going by that look on your faces, you know that he gets back to us and your asses are going right to jail, and yes you're correct at the moment on that. But he's connected to every area in the civilian community now boys. Starting now here and as for your remark, you realize that you just gave yourselves away with that remark." Hammond said to him and he froze up that news in shock then.
"Just saying those words you revealed that your thinking, Makepeace's thinking, has not changed, regarding Hathor. And you're still convinced he's the traitor when you're the ones committed espionage. Helping the enemy in war time is a considered espionage and can carry the ultimate price. He was raped and didn't do it willingly, and got the GDO back, you activately helped."
"Even after 2 months, the psychosis still stands here, you convinced yourselves he's a traitor and he's suicidal, but no, that's you, but us generals 2 to 5 stars." Hammond said to him sternly. "In our eyes, you are still the security risk at the moment, nothing's changed in two months. As I knew that was going to be the conditioned response to telling you the news that he's leaving right now."
"The joint chiefs, minus Vidrine now, decided to run this test as they, Darrel and Dillon all showed up, Janet Frasier recalled me for this. And we decided to test your thinking, regarding this after we all decided to let them go. And before we told you Daniel's mission, well congratulations, you failed now. In your psyche exams at the moment, regarding this, 2 months, since Hathor nothing changed."
"He's a traitor, he's going to sell us out, isn't that what you're thinking, boys, he's suicidal, dangerous, crazy and a loose cannon. He's a traitor, he's going to sell us out, is that it." Carson said sternly and they froze at the remark. "Uh let's see here, he tried to kill himself, went on a mission alone, the 'my queen' is sincere. He's a traitor and going to sell us out, that was not faked, he really did it."
"He's a megalomaniac, who needs to be taken to the academy hospital, put into a more intense evaluation and needs drug therapy." Matheson said, saying each conditioned response and they paled. "Yes that's right, we know you never let it go in the case of Hathor, still on the programmed response. And that is exactly the response I was waiting to hear from you, young man, nothing changed."
"You really think I would let it go you that pulled a knife on my daughter when she asked you that question and again. Would a man who is not on drugs, just attack someone for making it clear you could have killed yourselves here. Would you just attack me, because I threw that in your face as well, Major?" Matheson said moving in and John tried to hold in his fear at his question as he went on.
"You are a major, I am a three star general, a medical one no less, do you realize the seriousness of your situation. Now that you are thinking straight, Dillon, Mel and I spent all our lives together. And like our children did, but you never hung around with your brother, not since he started spending more time. In acting the big brother to Sam, Danny, Lou, Annie and Jared and his friends."
"To you he was a geek, and traitor, because he grew up, went to college and got into being a partial scientist. So tell me what changed, did you miss being his only playmate, or were you jealous now. That he spent all his time with Frank, Jason, Chris, Andy, Tom and Evan, being a big brother to the quintet. Spending his time in learning more and became a PH.D in astronomy now finally."
"You became a murderer, as such every person that dies is the twin to every officer that survived the last 2.5 years now in these battles." he said and they paled at that. "But why do you suppose you've been called forward for a courts martial, it's you struck an officer. And immediately following it was missed killing an innocent woman, out of anger." he said and John swallowed hard at that.
