"Yukino you are plenty strong, your amazing" stated Jay with a kind smile, making Yukino's blush deepen as she started to speak.
"R-really? You really think so" asked Yukino, unable to look away from Jay despite the burning heat in her face. Nodding his head, Jay started to speak.
"Of course, I do Yukino. You a badass woman and I know you are going to make Saber Tooth proud" responded Jay with a kind smile. After saying these words Jay realized how close he was to Yukino, her face inches away from his. Blushing himself, Jay leaned back from Yukino as he continued to speak.
"So yah don't doubt yourself okay? You are amazing Yukino" stated Jay as he blushed crimson and looked away from Yukino. Yukino was also blushing as she processed his words, she was so happy to hear his kind words. After taking a moment to steady her beating heart, Yukino looked back at Jay as she started to speak.
"Okay Jay, I will stop doubting myself if you really think that. Thank you" responded Yukino, glad to have such a good friend in her life. Once again Yukino looked at Jay's radiant smile and wished that they could be more than just friends but knew that was likely out of her grasps. Smiling at Yukino, Jay hoped that he had gotten his blushing under control as he started to speak.
"Don't mention it Yukino. If you ever need another pep talk I'm here for you" responded Jay in a supportive tone. Nodding her head in understanding, Yukino gave Jay a grateful smile as she started to speak.
"I'm glad to hear that Jay, you're a good friend" responded Yukino, grateful for Jay's friendship despite the fact she wanted more. A moment of silence followed, the two of them enjoying each other's presence before Jay started to speak.
"So you want to get going on the job then" asked Jay as he stood up. Smiling back at Jay, Yukino stood up and started to speak.
"Yah I'm ready but are you ready since we will have to ride the train" asked Yukino in an amused tone. Hearing these words Jay's confidant smile faltered as his stomach twisted into knots.
"Umm is it possible to walk to where the job is" asked Jay in a hopeful tone. Yukino laughed lightly at these words, thinking that she was going to enjoy going on a job with her best friend and her secret crush.
