Hello everyone! I hit a small writing block for a few months but wrote a small side fic to help get me back into the groove of things. After writing that I immediately wrote this one out! It's a bit shorter than my previous chapters but this is all Sasuke and Hinata content this time!

As always please enjoy this chapter, Thank you!!

"I really shouldn't…" Hinata thought out loud crouched in front of the fridge. For the past five minutes, she rocked back and forth on the back of her heels, her arms snaking tight around her sides in an attempt to hug out her growing nerves while staring at the one specific content on the top of the fridge.

The tall highball pack sat perfectly in front of the top shelf peering back at her with its sleek black and gold logo tempting her to let go, if only a bit to help her…. relax.

She damn right deserved it too, especially tonight of all nights. Yesterday Sasuke informed her he'd be late tomorrow night, extremely late, and told her to not wait for him to arrive. The thought of relaxing and in the safety of being alone tempted her beyond what she could comprehend.

Especially, for a restful night of sleep. God she would kill just to get maybe an hour of deep sleep. After being held by him for almost two weeks she weirdly wasn't terrified of Sasuke as much, that is when he wasn't there to freak her out. Sleeping was hard when you couldn't trust your involuntary roommate, especially if you were to ask him for sleeping meds as well. Sasuke would never just hand her a bottle of pills. Everything she wanted had to be measured and counted in a separate room by Sasuke and then handed to her. The result made her too anxious to take anything and she'd always toss the little pills in the toilet. No matter what, every night she would get small bursts of sleep in the form of passing out of exhaustion only to be jolted awake by the slightest creaks and taps the apartment greeted her in the middle of the night.

She figured she could get drunk early and now sleep all day with no problems since he's gone. Hinata grabbed the entire pack out of the fridge and placed it on the counter. Drinking all of these herself wouldn't cause issues financially considering money was no object for the heir. She reaches down in the cupboard and grabs packaged cookies to pair with the drinks. She wanted to get sleepy drunk, not black-out drunk.

She quickly chomped a few cookies in hopes of settling in her stomach with the copious amount of alcohol. While cracking open the beer, Hinata took a look at the clock before sipping.

3 pm.

She grimaced at the thought of getting day drunk especially this early, but it was really only her last option left. Sleeping pills wouldn't work since Sasuke would give her the pills himself out of fear of overdosing, she couldn't trust him either if she tried to meditate with headphones, the little noises would snap her out of it. Forcing herself to sleep through booze was the only viable thing she had left.

"Cheers.." she said defeatedly and had her first chug.

Oh.

'It's pretty tasty.' Hinata thought. She was mostly a spiked tea and wine girl. Beers and other canned drinks never stood out to her but the sweetness of the drink mixed well with the whiskey.

She ate the rest of her cookies and took another long swig of the can. Feeling refreshed already. Hinata crassly thought about how nice it is to be kidnapped by a guy who has lots of money. She wishes her friends were here to enjoy this alcohol with her. All getting pregamed at her apartment before a night out.

Tears spill a bit from her eyes thinking about this. Goodness, was she already tipsy? She felt warmth heat her cheeks and was surprised. Geez she did chug the can but still…

She turns the can around and takes a look at the alcohol content and opens her eyes.

57%?! 'I've had cocktails with half the amount of alcohol!' she thought amazed that even a can could legally hold this much.

Well if it is Sasuke, he wouldn't settle for cheap or 'low quality' spirits but still. How could something that tastes so good be filled with this much liquor she thinks tipsily and sniffles slightly, definitely feeling the effects of the drink.

'Well better hurry up and drink the rest.' She thinks while laughing. No point in pacing if she was already tipsy and her snack was gone she went ahead and downed the rest of the can, slamming down the can in victory.

Ah, she started to feel sleepy but wanted more. That was the kind of drunk Hinata was, everyone took her as happy or crying drunk but really she just was the worst.

A greedy drunk.

And when you're a greedy drunk you turn into EVERY type of drunk personality.

'If only Sasuke hadn't bought this strong ass alcohol this would've been prevented.' she thought, cracking open another can. Before taking a sip she runs to fill a glass of water and chugs it before sitting back at the table to continue drinking.

"I don't wanna wake up with another hangover again like…."

Last time.

'Maybe he'll take me to a new apartment if I blackout again.' she thought crudely.

"Hopefully my next cage will at least have some color." she announced to herself going back to the pack of beer and cracking another one open. The cool of the beer felt great on her warm skin. Hinata gently rested her cheek on the cold metal before going on and chugging the second can. Gods, it felt great to feel a little bit less strung out than she had been for weeks, even if she was alone she hadn't felt this good in what felt like months.

"I hope he never comes home…." She casually lets slip. Hinata felt proud of herself for even saying it out loud, even if he wasn't home it felt like a weight off her chest saying her thoughts without being suffocated by fear.

This courage made her have a realization and yell out with her arm pumped in the air "Alright! I'm definitely drunk enough!" She bellowed through the quiet apartment her blood pumping in her as she became more lively. She stood up too fast, stumbling a bit, getting ready to put the pack back in the fridge.

Although the minute she touched the can her hand wavered and stared longingly at the delectable drink.

She pursed her lips in deep concentration and sat back down quickly to open up the can, "Maybe one more though…" She told herself in defense of her conscience.

One more quickly came down to just "oooone more" or "annotherrr" for her not even bothering to take a break in between and chugged the beer like water. Hinata thought of herself as average in getting drunk. As long as she paced herself and drank water, she never really found herself being a lightweight until now. No one was there to stop her with her declining mental cognition after chugging however many cans. She swayed in the chair and set a four hour timer as an emergency and attempted to go to the couch gracefully.

Gracefully soon left after Hinata fell and stayed on the kitchen floor for a second before she crawled herself to lay on the couch. She made a note to herself to stay on her side in case she threw up. She finally got what she achieved, unadulterated sleep, and quickly shut her eyes the minute she got comfy on the couch. Her mind was happy and proud of what she accomplished and hummed happily

"Hinata?" She scrunched her face in discomfort at the quiet voice interrupting her sleep. She grumbled on the sofa and buried her head further in the cushion.

Ugh… that sounded like…him. Even in her dreams he still bugged her. She couldn't get a few minutes of shut eye before he bugged her psyche like a pest.

"Hina?"

She huffed out loud as if her cousin was forcing her to get ready for school. She kicked her feet up but refused to open her eyes. Winding them tightly shut in a second. Gods, he was so annoying it felt like he was RIGHT next to him.

The feeling of deja vu swept over her and Hinata snapped open her eyelids. She was greeted with dark blue circles boring a hole in her forehead.

'He's home!?' She thought rapidly. Hinata sat up as fast as she opened her eyes. She stumbled a bit before she could sit up okay as her vision cleared up to see Sasuke towering over her next to the couch. He still had his bag and jacket in hand as he peered at her with a blank expression.

That didn't make any sense…. She set a timer and everything so that if she did pass out the alarm would have woken her- she stopped mid thought to see the small clock in his hand, the timer held in his hand soundly off.

'Wait a sec…' Hinata dragged her eyes away from the Uchiha for a second to see out the window, only to be met with pitch black outside; she looked at the clock and back at Sasuke and glared at him angrily.

"How long have you been watching me…?"

Sasuke shrugged, and pondered a second before answering her, "Only for about an hour or two."

"Figured you didn't want to be up all night and I'd wake you now." He stated as if she would've appreciated his creepy gesture.

She snarled at him, pointing an accusing finger at him. "You're disgusting, you know that?" She insulted him while trying to wake up.

"You've been drinking." He notes rather obviously, then glances to the table and notices the four empty cans, impressed, just one of those would have gotten her pretty buzzed even if she paced it out or nursed on it for an entire evening.

"Heavily," He added.

She felt embarrassed but her red checks didn't extinguish the fire in her. Jesus, it's been a few hours but still felt pretty tipsy, "Bite me." She exclaimed, "I had no choice…"

"No choice?" He questioned her and she shook her head furiously in agreement.

Before he could ask her what she meant she interjected with a sigh, "I haven't felt this great in foreverrrrr…" she slurred leaning back into the couch cushions.

"Since you've been here?" He asked.

Annoyed at his stupidity she looked him in the eyes, he held a serious but sincere expression. She crossed her arms and explained, "Since for-EV-er." She told him matter-of-factly. "I never just drink alone like this." She added while gesturing to her cans.

No one would, not even herself, dare to ever let her drink till she passed out, "You wouldn't know what it's like…" she said soberly, as a man and as him being Sasuke.

She felt herself feel the sleepiness take over and her head began to fall and nod off. Sasuke caught her.

He clicked his tongue in annoyance, "Of course I know what this is like." His voice was tinged with bitterness at her statement.

Sasuke looked back at Hinata who gave him a puzzled look. Curious to know what the hell he was talking about. She rested her head on her shoulder and pointed to the table littered with empty cans

"Well, crack one open with me." She gave him a mischievous grin in her cocky tone.

It was Sasuke's turn to give her a puzzled look, he quickly recovered to put on a neutral expression and nodded. Sasuke stood up from his crouched pose and headed toward the table he opened the can and Hinata followed behind. Just like Hinata, he threw his head back and started chugging the can in the same manner. After a few seconds, he let out a loud sigh. He turned back to Hinata when he heard a gentle yet muffled laugh. The ever growing stagnant air was briefly filled with gentle giggles and cans clicking.

Her casual demeanor made his heart fill with wariness that melted all over his icy aching insides

"Tastes pretty good huh?" She grinned as he took another long swig.

"Of course idiot." He retorted. "I bought it."

"Shut up."

God he couldn't help but laugh, causing Hinata to feel like she snapped out of her drunken stupor.

Him laughing without any malignant undertone hiding something from her?

Right as she was about to ask herself how the hell was this person sitting next to her, he spoke up, "You're just like how you were that night." He said in a relaxed manner, his face soft in reminiscing.

'That night?' She questioned, she couldn't recall any night she had gotten drunk with Sasuke.

"When you were in the club." He answered to her puzzled face. Still, nothing about that night jogged her memory, even after weeks of trying her hardest to remember she couldn't recall anything.

The liquid courage got ahold of her and finally uttered the words she'd been so afraid to ask,

"How did you get a hold of me Sasuke?"

….

Thumping…

Throbbing…

Head pounding music caused Hinata to sway back and forth while she sat on the tiny bar stool that could barely fit her.

She's lucky she wasn't completely wasted enough to rest her head on the sticky bar table and instead buried her head into her arms to concentrate on not having her head spin.

'Fuck.' She cursed internally, She's so close to vomiting if she doesn't find a bathroom or water soon. Hinata tried to lift her body straight but she knew that she couldn't even stand up and walk there without tripping if she tried.

'Where's Ino?' she thought while flagging down the bartender for water. He gave her a quick look at her and swiftly gave it to her, ignoring his previous orders. Oh gods did she really look that bad? She downed the water faster than any shot she took that night and attempted to steady her mind and appearance.

She scanned the dance floor. Her eyes couldn't focus on any particular person in the crowd let alone her blonde. Should she find Ino? Not like grabbing her would help her get home, considering Ino probably doubled her alcohol consumption… Maybe she could call Shino to come get them. She dug into her purse to grab her phone and scrolled down the contacts to find her friend.

"Ah…" she said out loud. All the moisture left her mouth while she peered at the first S contact that she landed on.

"Sasuke…"

She pressed his name without giving it a second thought, 'What the hell. Why not?' She thought rather nonchalantly. Sober her had never had the courage to reach out to him after that day but drunk her didn't care.

She held the phone up to her ear and used her other hand to plug the other to attempt to her the line as it rang.

As soon as she pressed the call button she almost immediately was filled with doubt and stupidity. God she felt insane why would Sasuke pick up after all this time when-

"H…Hinata?" The voice on the other line was muffled and heavy in breath almost as if he was in the middle of running when she called. She had never heard him sound so worn out.

"Sasuke?" She questioned as if she didn't believe it was him, but she knew despite the shakiness it was him.

He didn't say anything, not that she was surprised he was the type to not waste time talking so she continued, "Ummm…uh…" She stumbled forgetting for a second what she was supposed to ask. "Where are you?" She questioned as if he was on trial.

"Why?" he snapped at her, his annoyance was even palpable through the phone screen, almost imagining him pinching the bridge of his nose.

Great, along with the spinning head her stomach churned at his obvious annoyance. Shit, how could she let her stupid drunk mind let her act a fool and call the worst possible guy.

Wasn't he happy to hear from her? Or at least could pretend to be maybe? Yeah, it's a bit late and loud on her end but…

Hinata closed her eyes and sighed.

'But nothing.' she thought defeated.

"Nothing I'm sorry." she tried to say without slurring. Her eyes felt like they were getting wet in embarrassment as she continued, "I'll leave you alon-"

He cut her before he lost his chance, "No I didn't- Fuck…." He sighed, trailing off before regaining his thoughts.

A few seconds passed before he spoke again, "Look, I'm sorry OK? I'm in Konaha. Why?" He spoke fast, afraid of her ending the call due to his callousness.

"I…I… "she trailed trying to think of anything to say with sweat going down her neck.

"I need you to come take care of me..." she proclaimed rather boldly, the words seemed to naturally spill out her mouth surprising herself and probably Sasuke as well.

Realizing how it sounded along with the growing silence Hinata started to fumble on her words to explain herself. "I mean- I've been drinking all night wit-"

"Which bar?" He ordered coldly with authority in his voice.

"Um…" she pondered for a bit, legitimately forgetting before it clicked back into her mind. "Blue ocean."

A few hard phone taps later, he spoke in a voice with the familiar confidence he's always had, "I'll be there in 15 minutes."

"Huh?" She let out, unsure. What? Just like that? While grateful of course she stumbled to keep up with his mood. "Thank you?" She said, confused, whether she should thank him or not.

"You're welcome, I'll get you in a bit."

With that, he hung up leaving Hinata dumbfounded for what felt like minutes. Then she erupted into a fit of laughter giggling into her hands while resting her hands on the still stick sticky bar top.

Heh, she should've known that Sasuke secretly DID miss her and once he got here she would revel in the fact once he got here. Her mind swirled in all the teasing ploys she had in mind. Well, no point in waiting with a dry throat. She waved the bartender over once again feeling her mood pick up once again and ordered another shot.

She downed the shot like it was the water she previously drank and hummed happily while closing her eyes waiting patiently as her savior came to get her.

Hinata said nothing, her memories finally regaining, she buried her head deep into her hands, unable to face the man in front of her.

They sat together at the table without anyone saying a word. Only the sound of Sasuke sipping from what was once Hinata's can.

She pulled herself out of her mental fog and looked at him in bewilderment. Sasuke taunted her by cocking his head in confusion at her and finished the rest of her drink.

"Remember now?" He asked nonchalantly as if she had forgotten an item on their grocery list.

Hinata didn't know what to say or even feel right now. Sasuke got her from the club that night? He even took her home WILLINGLY?

Impossible, this was impossible.

"Are you serious?" She spoke out loud, eyes open in worry.

"Why would I lie?" He asked, snidely offended by the look on her face.

She ignores him and continues to mumble to herself in her drunken state, "There's no way…" she continues to repeat to herself. "There's no way…I'm that stupid." She told herself.

Gods, she thinks she's developing a never ending migraine before she's even hung over.

He patronizingly patted her head to comfort her, "Not stupid Hina." He corrects ever so sweet tone.

She swiftly moved her head away from his touch and curled her lip in disgust, not sure if the disgust was for him or her, "I LET you kidnap me?" She accused loudly. She wanted to punch someone, not sure if it was Sasuke or her night really but maybe doing both would help.

Sasuke cracked open another highball, starting to get in the drinking mood. "You didn't let me kidnap you, you're not even kidnap." He said in an attempt to correct her.

"Oh shut up." She exclaims while opening up another can for herself.

She looked at him suddenly, "What were you even doing in Kohan?" She accused, amazed that the fact slipped passed her. "Everyone said you were gonna stay Suna for the next two years after you finished your doctorate."

He still kept a tight expression, "I had some business here." He told her nonchalantly, "You just have great luck it seems."

She hated his vagueness, "What kind of business?" She pressed, what could've been so important to not tell anyone he was back?

"Family."

Oh…that's why.

Sasuke never told her that he was only heir to the Uchiha corps simply because he didn't need to, that was a well known fact around the area. Hinata swears she could remember the television reporting for the whole week when it happened.

The entire Uchiha Clan was massacred by the young heir of the Corporation, 13-year-old Itachi Uchiha. Single survivor Sasuke Uchiha aged 7 and Itachi a lone fugitive.

Hinata felt her mouth grow dry as Sasuke didn't say anything, just simply sipping from his drink. She followed him except sipping hers even slower. Typically Hinata was known by her friends as an empathetic person. Always there to listen and have a shoulder to cry on but not now. Her mind was overwhelmed with curiosity as to what he was doing that night before she called him.

She spoke up, "You…mean Itachi." She asked stupidly, there wasn't any other family that Sasuke could meet up with.

He didn't reply, not even facing her as he stared out at the night sky through the window.

The kitchen air felt frigid, standing still in time as the question of the night air hung around them.

What happened?

Hinata was drunk but she knew better than to ask, her lips sat tight. Afraid if she dared open them the words may slip out on their own. She instead distracted herself by picking at her reddening thumb skin as she pulled herself into thinking of leaving.

Finally, he turned towards her, her lowered gaze now faced him and was met with a hard expression that frightened her stiff. Nothing filled his eyes except Harvard, malaise, disgust even, all directed at her as if she had murdered his clan all those years ago. Maybe because she was drunk but she could've sworn that his pupil enlarged. She saw her own reflection swimming in his eyes, drowning, frightful, and desperate to escape.

Hinata muttered an apology under her breath and tried to stand up from the table to retreat back to her chamber. She attempted but stumbled a bit using her legs. It was all for not though, he pulled her back down with a fierce grip. She gasped out loud at his grip and how cold he was. Hinata was red in the face from drinking and her skin burned hot yet she felt her heat drain into his hand when he didn't let up.

Before she could ask him to let her go, he beat her to it. "I killed him." He stated. His free hand took a swing from the can.

Hinata tried to pull her arm away from him, soberness reaching her as tears pricked out of her eyes. His grip slowly moved up her arm, to her shoulders, finally settling itself on her delicate neck. It might have been then fear of shock as she sat there like an idiot as he slowly crawled up her body. As if he was a snake slowly suffocating his prey.

She could hear her heartbeat pound deafeningly in her ear. His chokehold forced her to face him, reading his lips, she horrifyingly made out the quick words.

"Lemme show you how."

That was all she needed to hear to start thrashing.

She could feel herself losing her cool, as much as she tried she started to lose her voice under his hands, "Sasuke please-"

"Shut up."

Her arms were free but her shoulders pinned to the table. She doesn't even know how it was possible she ever got in this position. Left helplessly as she trashed at him and screamed at him to release her.

"I'm not gonna hurt you."

She didn't believe him.

Like a rabid animal, she clawed at his arms in a desperate attempt to get him away. Her screams were soon silenced as Sasuke put pressure on her windpipe slowly suffocating her under his thick fingers.

"I would never kill you." She heard him mutter in her ear, perhaps he said something else to her, not that she could've known. Vision faded and her ears burned as if she was set on fire. Any amount of oxygen was greedily used up, the fire spreading all over her head and body.

She's so stupid, so fucking stupid she wants to laugh. What was she thinking? What was she doing here?

With that, she looks up at Sasuke with her last strength and shows him an expression of acceptance fills her eyes. Any other emotion like fear and rage she simply has no energy for.

Just as she had given up Sasuke immediately releases her. She stumbles to the floor not realizing that he lifted her slightly off the ground. The fall was hard and scraped her wobbly knees, giving her a wake up call. Any feeling of pain was washed over to be relieved.

Thankfully, whatever higher power decided she deserved a second chance, and she made sure she wasn't going to squander it. She lifted herself up off her knees and sprinted. She ran into the doors down the hallway until she was in the bathroom's toilet.

She allowed her lungs to take in a few deep delicious breaths in between every other step she took. Finally, at the door, she opened and closed it in the same second standing there shakily as her brain registered everything that happened. In between her deep breaths, she let out a hard cough. And then another, until she was coughing so hard her eyes watered and her throat filled with vomit. She fell to the toilet and vomited everything in her stomach, the alcohol, the fear, and her own organs everything came out of her and into the toilet bowl.

Even after everything was out it still didn't stop her from retching. Dry heaving for the next few minutes, or perhaps hours, she wasn't really sure but was soon calmed down. Hinata slumped to the bathroom flooring while crying. Her body calmed down enough and let her have a moment of relief, she crawled on the floor to the door, locking it. She curled into a ball shivering as she stayed awake through the night and afraid to make any more of a fuss.

Wahhh! Kind of a sad end for our couple I know! Things will progressively get better as each chapter continues. Better in the sense that Hinata won't be as terrified of Sasuke.
