The Future's Young Fingerprint
Pallet Town, Kanto. 25th July 2033. 12:36pm.
Liam stepped out of the portal, holding Aidan's hand, as they stepped into
Professor Oak's lab. "Dad!" Liam called out. "Look Liam! It's Daddy!" Aidan exclaimed happily, running to his father. The spiky haired man looked down confusedly. "Can I help you?" he asked, perplexed. Aidan's eyes watered as he looked at his father. "It's me dad! Aidan!" he tried.
The man looked troubled. "Dad? But my only son is Liam. And he's two years old right now." he said. Aidan started crying. Liam ushered him into an embrace. Then he turned to the researcher who still looked lost. "Look, Dad, I'm Liam." The man's eyes widened. "But- what? I'm sorry, but I have a flight to Hoenn to catch. I would like to go to my wife and child who're already there," he spoke, clearly in a hurry.
Liam sighed. "Can we come with? Mom would know it's us." he tried. His father narrowed his eyes. "Sorry, but the plane's full." Liam was frustrated at this point. "You and Mom are dying in the future! This is the only way to save you!" he shouted.
His father didn't buy it. "Out." he said simply. Liam groaned. Whenever his father used that tone, he knew not to mess around with him. He sighed and walked out. He was going to have to figure it out himself. It was a good thing he was a spy for the league, though.
Snowpoint Docks Parking Lot, Sinnoh. 27th July 2033. 8:21pm.
Older Max turned around in his seat. "So, does anyone remember where the hot springs are? I don't exactly remember…" he scratched the back of his head sheepishly. Dawn raised her hand. "I do!" Older Max nodded. "Good."
He started up the engine as Dawn gave directions. An hour later, they had reached the hot springs. The gang got out of the car. Dawn ran to the door and knocked.
"I'll get it!" a faint voice exclaimed from behind the door. Dawn stepped back, waiting for her redhead best friend to appear, as the others joined her. Instead, she came face to face with a man with dark lilac hair who looked just as shocked to see her.
"Come in," he said after a moment. They all stepped into the cozy hotel, that was now closed for the summer season. Max took charge to break the awkward silence. "I didn't know you, Dawn, and Belle were visiting." he tried, as Dawn and Paul's eyes widened at the implication. "I didn't know you were either," the purple haired man grunted slightly. Bonnie spoke up this time.
"Clearly, we weren't planning to either." she said, motioning to the teens. Older Paul nodded as they entered the living room. Older Zoey turned to Older Paul. "Hey you're back. Who was…" she trailed off as she saw the younger versions of her best friends step in next to him.
"Wha…" Kenny started, but trailed off before he could finish. Then, Older Dawn stepped into the room. "Hey, Belle's asleep now. Probably won't wake up for some time. She's a deep sleeper. Why're you guys so quiet…?" she followed her friends' gaze and gasped. Right in front of her was a mini version of herself! "Uhh…"
Dawn broke the silence with a squeal. "Oh my gosh Zoey! I always knew you liked Kenny! I told you so! You both look so cute together! Do you guys have a baby yet? How did you get together?" she spoke all in one breath. Older Paul laughed quietly in his hand, covering it up with a fake cough. Older Dawn blinked dumbly before laughing.
"I know right? Zoey's two months in right now, and yes, this is their first baby, and they got together when Kenny won his first grand festival." Older Dawn said, her eyes sparkling.
Paul cleared his throat. "Uh…who's Belle?" he asked lamely. Older Dawn winked and walked up to Older Paul and put her arm around his neck, while he eyed her warily. "That's our baby girl." she cooed slyly, ruffling Older Paul's hair, as he whacked her hand away, groaning.
"HEY! DID YOU FORGET WE EXISTED OR SOMETHING?!" May and Misty barged in. They turned to Dawn, fuming. "YOU LEFT US OUTSIDE!" They screamed, as Dawn sweatdropped. "Umm…Sorry?" she tried. May huffed. "You better be." Misty cupped her hand and looked up. "Now, Leaf!" Dawn gasped as she was drenched with cold water. Zoey, Kenny, Older Paul, Paul, May, Older Dawn, Misty, and Leaf; who was hiding in a corner burst out laughing.
Dawn pushed aside strands of her front hair. "You. Will. Pay." she growled, before lunging at Leaf and Misty. She chased them around the house as the two giggled. Dawn gave up. "I don't have any clean clothes!" she whined. Older Dawn walked up to her. "We can share. We're still the same height." she suggested, as Dawn happily accepted the offer.
An hour later, the group was seated around a fireplace, explaining everything that had happened to them over the past few days. Zoey leaned back. "The past, huh?" Kenny put an arm around Zoey's shoulders as she leaned into him. He turned back to the group.
"How about we all get some sleep? It's been a rough few days, don't you think?" he suggested, seeing as his wife was tired. They all nodded. "Yeah, sure."
They all went to sleep in separate rooms, happy to sleep in real beds for once.
Larousse City, Hoenn. 27th July 2023, 2:30pm.
"I'm here!"
A man's voice echoed throughout the suite, as he shifted his shoes off, and entered the living room to see his wife clad in a blanket, holding a remote in her hand. She put the remote down.
"Hey,"
"Hi."
"How was the flight?"
"Pretty good. Although…"
"Although…?"
"A couple hours before my flight, two kids stopped by. One looked like he was almost twenty, and one looked about eight. They claimed to be my sons from the future. Can you believe that?"
His wife's eyes widened. "What did you say, then?" she held her breath, praying he didn't send them off. "I sent them off." She snapped and stood up, her expression forming into a frown.
"Why would you do that?!"
Her husband blinked. "Sorry…I-" his wife groaned loudly. "Today, I had a dream, in which Celebi told me about our sons. I can't believe you just sent the poor children away!" She exclaimed. "They were here to rescue future us, because someone messed with the timeline! That's exactly why past us are here! Because Giovanni set the password as our younger selves fingerprints!" she took a deep breath. Her husband panicked a little. How could he do that? "I'm sorry babe, I wasn't thinking!" he pleaded desperately. His wife pulled him into an embrace. "Let's just hope that they make it here in time." she said, as she cuddled closer to her husband.

A man sat in the middle of a dark room, the only source of light being a small screen radiating blue light. "Tomorrow, eight pm, sharp."
"Yes sir."
"This better work 009,"
"Of course it will, sir."
"What's the probability?"
"99.9%"
The man seemed intrigued. "How come?"
"There is no where to run, or hide. The only way they can get out is if someone rescues them, which we all know isn't exactly possible."
"Good. When will you have them in the cells?"
"In about two days, sir."
"Hm. Don't give them any food or water. They'll die on their own."
"Yes sir."
"Alright then. Now, get to work."
"Yes sir. 009, out."
The call cut, leaving the man alone with his thoughts. He grinned evilly. Soon, he would be taking over the world, and no one could stop him. Absolutely no one.
