Chapter 13 – End of Time

PREVIOUSLY

"I've let you down in so many ways, I don't deserve you, but I'm begging you don't leave me." Kisuke pulled her head closer to his, letting his forehead rest against hers, keeping his gaze steady.

Kimiko searched his eyes, trying to understand what caused that statement.

'What did Suiro say to you?' She thought to herself, concern entering her mind.

"Why would I bother going through all this if I ever considered leaving you? Kisuke Urahara centuries ago, you became my heart, how can I survive without my heart?" She told him, pushing against his forehead, smiling. "You cannot get rid of me that easily." She joked before pressing her lips to his.

Kisuke pressed his lips harder against hers after a moment, desperate for her. She pulled back laughing, holding his head back from following her lips.

"Why?" he breathed, placing his hands over Kimiko's, opening his eyes.

"Because…. I'm hungry." She couldn't help but laugh at his expression, "Perhaps, you could feed your muse, so she is strong enough to reassure you of her love?" she watched as his eyes darken and lighten at her words.

Love was never something Kisuke spoke of, until she heard him say he loved her the other night when he thought she was sleeping, he only ever said it one other time before; back in the soul society Kimiko only broached it once, and after the response she received, she never brought it up again.

FLASHBACK

Kimiko was laying on the grass, under her cherry blossom tree Kisuke modified for her so long ago, staring at the sky, watching the clouds drift by. Her mind was reeling, she was thinking about everything in her life, it had been two years that her and Kisuke had been together officially. After the first seven months they were unable to continue to hide their relationship, they had to confront the questioning of central 46, the probing was embarrassing, in the end after three days of interrogations, it was determined that their relationship did not go against any current rules as they were not assigned to the same squad.

Time went by, Kimiko felt herself becoming happier and lighter with each passing day, but she was scared that she was falling deeper than Kisuke, he never really spoke about how he felt, and though she wanted to push for more she was worried about the outcome.

"There you are." She heard Kisuke's voice behind her, she didn't turn to look at him. "What's wrong?" He sat next to her, looking down at her laying form.

Kimiko kept her gaze on the sky, sighing, trying to figure out how to say what she needed to say. Normally she could plan a conversation with someone she knew five sentences ahead.

"Kimiko…..." he pushed, his voice heavy.

"I'm trying to structure what I want to say." She replied, still looking at the sky.

"Structure what you want to say?" Kisuke asked, scrunching his eyebrows at her, not understanding what was happening, the wheels in his mind were spinning out of control.

Kimiko sighed, pushing herself up, deciding that there was no way to go about this conversation where it didn't end with them arguing. She turned, pulling her legs underneath her, crossing them, lifting her eyes to Kisukes.

"Kisuke…. What's happening?" she asked him, watching as he shook his head.

"What's happening? That's what I want to know, what are you saying?" he replied, his voice straining.

Kimiko sighed, placing her hand on his face, pulling his eyes back to hers, "Kisuke, listen to me. I love you." She told him point blank, she watched as his expressions drifted across his face, they changed so fast she couldn't decipher them.

Kisukes heart started racing, his eyes narrowed at her, "why are you saying that?" he said, his tone aggressive.

"Why am I saying that? Maybe because it's what I feel, I love you, why is that such a horrible thing?" she shouted at him, her hand falling from his face, and her body tensing.

"Tch, love? Love isn't real, it's something that people say to control others!" he yelled at her standing.

Kimiko gasped at his words, standing as well, narrowing her eyes, yelling, "Love isn't real? How can you say that? Than what, we're just fucking?"

Kisuke took a step back hearing her words, 'just fucking' he had never spoken like that. He couldn't understand where this was coming from, love was not something he believed was real, love was something fickle, something that could fade. His chest was heaving with how deeply he was breathing, his heart starting to race.

"Nothing to say? I guess than it's true, you only consider me a bed warmer, a body to keep you occupied, no real emotions involved." She huffed, turning her eyes away, trying to hold back her tears, "I'm a fool, I thought I meant something to you." She finished saying, her eyes closing, some tears escaping from her eyes.

Kisuke didn't know what to do, he watched her tears slip down her face as she turned away from him. His throat was dry, unable to speak, he felt something, it was like his heart was being squeezed in pain as she stepped back from him, still not looking at him.

"I understand, your silence always speaks louder Kisuke, it always did because that shows you can't answer without lying." She said, scoffing, "I know you better than anyone because I can read the real you, how you keep forgetting that I don't know."

Kimiko turned away from him, giving him her back so he wouldn't see the tears she couldn't control, she felt like her soul was being torn in two, the pain was unbearable.

"You won't have to worry about things that don't exist, like love, any longer Kisuke, I don't think I can actually stop loving you, but I won't beg you to love me." She asserted softly before disappearing, leaving him standing there.

Kisuke didn't know what to do, for once he couldn't see three steps ahead, he was in unknown territory, and the pain he was feeling was crushing him. He tried to catch his breath, his right-hand landing over his heart, which felt like it was being ripped apart.

'Foolish boy.' He heard it in his head suddenly.

'Benihime?' he thought back.

'Obviously, you are such a child Kisuke. I care for no one besides you, but I have been watching these past years, you have changed, for the better." She told him, the irritation in her voice sharp in his mind, "Just because you have never experienced something doesn't mean it doesn't exist, are you so dense that you don't see how she has made you better, do you think that a zanpakuto reaches out to someone besides their soul reaper normally?" she demanded, reminding him that Kimiko's zanpakuto had materialized and spoke to him when she was incapacitated after a bad battle with hollows.

'But love weakens people.' he replied shaking his head.

'Ugh! Humans are so stupid; did it ever occur to you that it can also strengthen you? Who pushed you to believe you could be a captain, who pushed you to change the path of squad twelve? If that has weakened you, you are a bigger fool than I thought.' She snarled at him in his mind before vanishing, leaving him to process her rant.

Kisuke stood there staring at the cherry blossom tree that he had modified for her, so long ago, he thought back on that, thought back that the reason he did it was because he wanted her to be happy, no other reason, he wanted to see her smile.

Kisuke sighed, letting his mind wander, thinking that if she was gone, if she wasn't with him, he would not be the same, he would be a shell, Benihime was right, she made him stronger not weaker. His eyes snapped open wide, thinking on the pain in his chest, the inability to control his breathing, the feeling of emptiness he felt.

'Was that love?' he thought, his hand going back to clench the fabric over his heart. 'Is it real?'

'Idiot child.' Benihime scolded quietly, 'and you consider yourself a genius.' She scoffed before disappearing again.

Kisuke looked around, trying to figure out where she went, he opened his senses searching for her, unable to locate her spiritual pressure.

'Do you really think she wouldn't mask it, like she always does? What would you do without me?" Benihime said to him, returning again. 'Be happy Suiro and I are friendly, and he allows me to locate him. She's in the forest, her favorite tree.' Benihime told him as he felt her recede from his subconscious.

Kisuke narrowed is eyes before he vanished.

He reappeared in the location he knew very well; he had found Kimiko here many times, this was where she went when she didn't want to be found, even Shunsui didn't know about this spot. He looked around, still unable to feel her, but paying close attention to the trees, until he finally saw it, the trunk of a tree where he had carved two k's, the first time he found her here.

Kisuke walked towards the tree, lifting his head to look into the branches, narrowing his eyes. He flashed up into the tree, going branch to branch until he was almost at the top, finding her leaning against the trunk, her arms wrapped around her legs which were bent at the knees, he heard her sobs and saw her shoulders shaking.

"Kimiko," he whispered softly, watching her head snap up, shocked.

"How did you- "she started asking before she clamped her mouth shut narrowing her eyes, "Tch, Suiro allowed Benihime to retain a piece of him so she could always locate him." She snarled.

"Please, let me say something, I didn't get a chance before." Kisuke said cautiously, watching her closely.

"Your silence spoke loudly." She sneered, but didn't vanish, like he thought she would.

"I didn't know how to say what I wanted, or how to explain what I was feeling. You have to understand, I have never experienced these feelings. You are the first relationship I have actually had. Long ago Yoruichi was right when she told you I get bored easily, but something about you captured me, I cannot see my days without you in it. I tried, and all I saw, felt, was blackness." He explained, pausing, clenching his chest.

"Without you, I'm a shell, you have made me stronger. I never believed love existed, that it just made people weaker, disrupted logic and reasoning, prevented people from seeing the truth, but if love is what I have experienced these past two years with you, and the thought of you no longer with me transforming me into less of what I am, than yes, I love you." He finished, his heart feeling like it was going to explode out of his chest.

Kimiko stared at Kisuke, his words echoing in her head, "than yes, I love you".

'Did he just admit he loves me?' she thought to herself, shocked.

Kisuke stood on the branch, waiting, his fists clenched, starting to think that he was not able to fix this, that he had damaged it severely with his silence before, but he refused to let his gaze leave hers, he let every feeling he didn't understand show in his eyes, knowing she would see them clearly.

Kimiko read his eyes, seeing so many emotions in them, she saw his confusion, he didn't know how to handle or process these emotions. She sighed, standing from her seated position, noticing he took a step towards her, thinking she was going to leave.

"You have to be honest with me Kisuke, I understand that you don't know how to handle what you're feeling, but if you don't tell me, how can I help?" she asked him, stepping closer to the branch he was on.

Kisuke watched her step closer to him, realizing she wasn't leaving, she wasn't abandoning him.

"Let me in, like I let you in, let me love you. As long as I'm with you you'll never be alone." Her words penetrating his soul, "I'll always be by your side, if you let me."

END FLASHBACK

Kimiko watched him, she saw that his mind was working on overdrive, she stayed still before she felt his lips crush against hers in a hungry kiss, she responded to him, her hands delving into his hair, pulling him closer.

Kisuke moaned wrapping his arms around her, lifting her with him as he stood, guiding her back to the bed.

"You can eat after." He whispered against her lips, before laying her on the bed, covering her with his body.

Kimiko groaned, wrapping her legs around his waist for a moment before pulling away, working to push off his haori, and untie his shirt, quickly she pushed his hakama pants off his waist, she needed him, burned for him.

Kisuke broke their kiss to pull her shirt over her head, than reaching behind her unhooking her bra throwing them to the side before moving to her leggings, pulling them slowly over her hips with her underwear. Kisuke slowly ran his hands up her legs as he made his way back up her body to claim her lips in a hungry kiss.

Kimiko ran her hands down from his hair across his shoulders, digging her nails into his skin making him hiss as he pulled away from her lips to kiss his way down her neck, to her breasts, pulling a nipple between his lips before moving down her ribs and abdomen, sucking and biting making her arch her back in pleasure.

Kisuke finally arrived at her core, blowing against her, smiling at her moan as he dragged his tongue up her center, tasting her before thrusting his tongue into her holding her hips down as she tried to buck against his mouth.

Kimiko panted as Kisuke held her hips to keep her from moving, letting him control the pace, which he chose to be slow and torturous.

"K-Kisuke, please" she moaned, gripping his hair, trying to pull his head up.

He finally relented and made his way up her body back to her lips, pushing his tongue past her lips so she would taste her essence, his tongue invading her mouth as he ground his hardened erection against her groaning while grabbing her legs to wrap around his waist trying to deepen the kiss as he buried himself inside her in one swift move, capturing her scream with his kiss.

Kisuke moaned moving long and slowly at first, pushing himself on his lower arms so he could watch her, trying to restrain himself.

"I'm sorry, I don't think I can hold back and take more time…." He whispered, closing his eyes tightly.

"Take what you need, my genius." she told him, leaning up to bite his shoulder roughly, hearing his shocked gasp at her words.

Kisuke stilled, her words floating through mind. Hearing her offer herself to him, again putting what he needed as a priority, she never truly asked anything of him, except him.

He clenched his eyes, slamming into her roughly, the feeling of her teeth digging into his skin, her words in his head, unleashed something in him, pushing him into moving faster and harder, groaning laying his head in her neck.

Kimiko felt her body tightening in pleasure, she knew that she was about to explode, trying to contain her scream, she gripped his hair and bit his shoulder again feeling her walls clench around him.

"Come for me" he demanded into her neck, increasing his thrusts, his grip on her hips tightening feeling her body shatter with her orgasm, he continued to thrust into her until she stopped shaking, before he pulled out of her quickly, moving to lay behind her, pulling her leg over his, as he pushed himself back into her.

"Oh!" she moaned, throwing her head back exposing her neck to him.

Kisuke smiled sucking on her exposed neck as he thrust into her, harder and swifter, the new position building her back up again, stronger than anything she ever felt before. He grazed his hand from her hip to her swollen nub, rubbing in sync with his thrusts, groaning as she pushed back into him.

"I can never seem to have enough of you." He whispered into her ear, thrusting harder, "You're my addiction, my obsession, my soul," he moaned, hearing her pants increase, knowing she was close to another climax, he wanted to make sure she reached it again, make sure that he gave her what she needed from him, but he didn't think he would be able to hold back for much longer.

"I need you to come with me," he groaned, quickening his pace, and thrusting harder.

Kimiko' panting turned into gasps, as she felt her body tighten again.

"Ki-I'm going to…" she started to say as she exploded in ecstasy.

Kisuke moaned biting down on her shoulder fiercely, knowing that he had marked her, the feeling of her clenching around him too much to endure, started to push him over the edge, his whole body was shaking, almost painfully. Kisuke grunted, no matter how hard he thrust he couldn't reach his orgasm, he was spiraling biting her shoulder again groaning.

"My genius, I'm here, I'm yours" Kisuke heard Kimiko whimper softly, continuing to take his continuing thrusting, hearing her was like a switch, suddenly he erupted inside her his body turning to almost lay on top of her, slowing his thrusts but not stopping until he heard her whimper quietly.

He stilled his movements, attempting to regain control of his body but refusing to let himself slip out of her.

"I'm sorry." He whispered to her, nuzzling her neck planting kisses as he did so.

Kimiko opened her eyes, looking over her shoulder at him, "Kisuke?" she asked, trying to understand what he was trying to say.

Kisuke tightened his hold on her body, pushing his head against her neck, he thrusted softly, pushing himself deeper inside her, eliciting a whimper from the woman in his arms.

Kimiko gripped his arms that were wrapped around her, dragging her nails against his skin, suddenly she felt his shoulders start to shake, making her gasp trying to turn around to him, but his hold did not relent only tightened.

Kisuke took a deep breath, kissing her neck up to her earlobe, biting gently, "Hear me Kimiko Hoshi, squad eight's third seat," he began to say, his tone was harsh, rough, "my mistress of nature, my muse, I swear to you I will no longer let you down, I will no longer let you be hurt, I will be the strategist you always boasted about, I swear when you're weak from now on I will be strong." He kept his head buried against the side of her face, feeling her breathing increase and her heart start to race. When he felt wetness against skin, his head snapped up looking down at her.

"Kimiko… wha… did I say…." He stumbled over his words, not knowing what to say.

Kimiko turned her head to stare into Kisukes grey eyes, for once not being hidden by his hair or that hat. She gave him a small smirk, her remaining unshed tears in her eyes, "Suiro went to far, I'm sorry." She said before closing her eyes, gasping as Kisuke unsheathed himself from inside her, turning her so she would be on her back under his body, letting his thumbs wipe away the moisture from her face as her eyes reopened.

"I love you, Kisuke Urahara." She told him smiling, "but don't think you can out strategize me." Kimiko finished before leaning up to claim his mouth in a hungry kiss, pulling him down towards the bed, laughing as she heard him grunt at the action.

Kisuke pulled away from her, with much difficulty, his eyes half lidded gazing at her, grinning, "I was too rough with you muse; besides I did tell you I would feed you after, and I am a man of my word after all." He pushed away from her, linking their hands together so she would stand with him. He pressed his forehead to hers once they were standing in front of each other, smiling his rare true smile he only ever saved for her.
