Mindy sat in the car, staring up at the house she was supposed to spend the next 30 years in. Finn was in his own car. He had been there waiting for her all day. She had parked as far away from him as possible and he honored his word by not walking up to her. She thought back to a month ago when Braun and Ricochet entered her house without permission and forced her to come with them to the mansion for a pregnancy test. She already knew the result and she already hated how she felt.

"Pregnant!" Finn yelled.

Everyone cheered except for Mindy. She hated being in that position. She wanted that thing out of her but for now she needed it to stay. At least it had been Seth's doing and not the monster Braun or anyone else part of this thing.

"Well done," Finn grinned at her. "Finally."

She shook her head at his happiness. She wanted to cut him into a million pieces and feed them to polar bears.

"Time for you to enter the house," he said.
"Not yet," she said.
"No?" He raised his eyebrows.
"I'm about to go away for good. I'm taking my final month of freedom. I will enter the day before I turn 31. An hour before midnight. Not a minute before. I won't run. I won't try to bargain my way out of it. But you are not taking away my last month with Seth. You owe me that much," she said.
"Alright," he nodded. "That's not a problem. I will personally be at the house all day waiting for you."
"I'll be there. Don't come up to me. I know I'm gonna need a few minutes to gather my thoughts once I arrive before you take away every part of me," she said.
"I'll even let you sit there all the way up until 15 minutes before midnight. If you're not out of the car by then, I'll drag you out myself," he said.
"Deal," she said.
"Wanna stay for lunch?" He asked.
"Hell, no!" She growled.

"Fuck you all," she mumbled.

She took out her phone and called Seth. She knew Finn saw the light from her phone, and he would see it as her saying her final farewell. Seth was waiting by the phone and picked up in record speed.

"Mindy," he whispered.
"I love you so much, Seth," she said.
"I love you too," he said.
"You know what I wanna say," she said.
"Everything that needed to be said has already been said," he said. "Take care, babe."

She let out a sob and hung up. She wanted to tell him she would be back. She wanted to tell him to wait for her. He knew how badly she wanted to repeat the promise of her coming back. She didn't dare in case someone had placed a bug in her car. Instead she leaned over to the passenger seat and opened the glove compartment. Everything was ready for her to do it fast. She grabbed the pills and the bottle of water. She kept her head down so Finn couldn't see what she was doing. She swallowed the mifepristone first and held the misoprostol in her hand. She got out of the car and walked up towards the house. He got out of the car too and followed after her.

"Let me..." He started.
"Leave me alone, Finn," she spoke calmly. "I don't need your help. I'm going in and that's final."
"Alright," he chuckled. "We'll stop by with food from time to time, and once you give birth, we'll be here to pick up the child."
"One last thing," she glanced back at him. "Fuck you, Finn. I've never hated anyone as much as I hate you."

He smirked at her. There was a look in his eyes she didn't like one bit. She might hate him now but she wouldn't get a choice in anything he might do to her if he ever came inside those walls after she entered. She turned her head away again, pretended to cough, and moved her hand up to her mouth so she could place the misoprostol under her tongue.

She opened the front door and came face to face with a woman she knew had to be her mother. It felt like her heart stopped beating in that moment. The woman in front of her looked like a skeleton. She was naked and her body was full of scars telling horrible stories that Mindy never wanted to hear. Her mother didn't even recognize her standing there. She walked out of the house and directly over to Finn who winked at Mindy's shocked expression.

"Don't worry. I'll take care of her," he said. "The real fun starts after you've given birth. I can't wait to play with you."

He raised his hand and it felt like a wind pushed her backwards into the house. The last thing she saw was Finn's grin and her mother's expressionless face before the front door slammed and the house took over.
