Chris drove them to the DSO's HQ in record time to get Helena the medical attention that she desperately needed. Leon called the infirmary there and got his friend, Madison, on the phone to warn her that they were coming and to be ready. Madison was an old childhood friend of Leon's and she had been recruited to the D.S.O after they had seen that she was a medic for the United States Army and had all the qualities that they had been looking for. Madison had patiently been waiting at the infirmary, her long brown hair in a tight braid down her back. It hadn't been long after she had gotten off the phone with Leon when she saw them walk in with Helena.

"Thanks for being here, Maddie."

"It's no problem sweetheart, now let's see what we have here." Madison says, leading them to a private room and gesturing for Leon to put Helena on the bed while she washed her hands and put gloves on. Madison peeled back Helena's eyes, shining a flashlight in both, happy to see that Helena's pupils were responding to the light. Madison grabbed an IV next and inserted it into Helena's good arm and took a needle to inject something into the IV.

"What's that?"

"Morphine. I need to reset the bone and she's going to be in a lot of pain once she wakes up."

"Come on. Let's let her work." Jill says, urging Leon to follow them out to the waiting area where Chris was speaking with Hunnigan.

"Hey Chris?" Leon asks when he approached, "did you know that those were sedatives that you gave her?" he asks, noticing the awkward stare that Chris was now giving him, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

In response, Chris just sighed, hanging his head down, having hoped that Leon wouldn't ask questions.

"No. I didn't."

Leon gave Chris a look that told him that if they weren't at HQ, Chris would be dead right now. Leon stepped closer to Chris, his face inches from the older man's. He wanted to punch Chris so badly in the face for his stupidity, but Jill was holding his arm to keep him from reacting.

"You injected her with some unknown medicine? What if it had been the T Virus? Or the G Virus? Or both because who knows how they mix them!" Leon seethed, feeling his blood boil at the sheer stupidity that Chris exhibited back at the facility, "And you let him!" he adds, turning his attention back to Jill.

"I had to take a risk. If I didn't, she would have shot you and then she would be dead anyway." Chris says calmly, pushing Leon back.

"Guys, there's no point fighting about this. What's done is done." Jill says. She was also fuming at her husband's stupidity as she had assumed that Chris knew what it was that he had grabbed. She should have known when he didn't answer her after she asked what it was that he was full of shit, but she knew that at this moment in time there was no point fighting about it.

Leon pulled his arm from Jill's iron tight grasp, rubbing his arm having forgotten how strong she was now after Wesker's experiments on her. Leon stepped away as his phone rang and only briefly looked away to check the caller ID to see that it was Sherry and felt his heart drop to his stomach, fearing that something happened as he answered.

"Sherry? Is everything okay?" He asks, walking away from Chris and Jill to have their conversation in private.

"Yeah, everything's fine. We watched a movie and now me, Jake, and Aliya are playing Candyland. I was just wondering when we can expect you back."

"Do you guys think you can stay for the night? There's a guest bedroom you two can stay in. There's been an incident."

"Yeah of course we can, is everything okay?"

Leon sighed, "I'll explain later."

Leon didn't wait for a response as he hung up his phone and started pacing around the small waiting area. Not only was Helena hurt, albeit a mostly minor injury, but he killed Trevor's father and that wasn't going to go down well.

"Hey, how are you holding up?" Jill asks as she approached, sitting down on one of the ridiculously uncomfortable blue plastic chairs.

"Well," He starts, sitting down next to her, "my girlfriend is hurt, and I killed the father of Aliya's friend. How do you think I'm doing?"

Jill nodded, "well one of those can be solved at least."

"Yeah, well hopefully Trevor never finds out that I'm the one that killed him."

"Unfortunately, he's going to find out somehow."

Leon sat back in his seat, the exhaustion finally hitting him as he let himself drift off. He didn't know how long he had been asleep for, only aware that he had fallen asleep when Madison was shaking him awake, making him jump at first until he saw it was her.

"How is she?" He asks, standing up and walking with her.

"Well to start out, her blood tests show that she was given a very powerful hallucinogen. It was a fear inducing one and she kept mumbling something about a Simmons and Deborah and how she couldn't protect Deborah?" she asks, stopping and looking at Leon, who felt his heart break when Madison mentioned it.

"Deborah is…was…Helena's sister and Simmons was the man responsible for killing her back in Tall Oaks."

Madison nodded, "I ask because aside from the mumbling, she did wake up and started panicking again, yelling that I killed this Deborah girl. We had to give her another sedative, so she'll be out for a bit, hopefully until the drugs are out of her system."

"Anything else?" Leon asks as they stopped outside Helena's door.

"Well, her arm is broken so she will need to have the cast on for six to eight weeks, but it was a standard break so no surgery or pins or anything are needed thankfully. She also had pieces of glass in her back, so I had to pick those out very carefully. Once we got her sedated, I checked her heart rate was over one hundred twenty beats per minute. I'm surprised her heart didn't explode."

"Yeah, after Chris sedated her the first time, I checked her pulse, and it was faster than anything I had ever dealt with before. Other than those things is she alright?"

"Oh yeah, other than her heart rate all of her injuries are relatively minor." She says, opening the door and gesturing for Leon to head into the room.

Leon walked into the room cautiously to see Helena was now wearing a blue gown, her right arm in a cast held in place against her body by a sling. She looked peaceful almost and it was almost as if she never tried to kill him just a few hours ago. Leon took a seat by her bedside, taking Helena's good hand in his, kissing it gently.

"I'm sorry, Lena." he says softly, brushing a strand of hair out of her eyes. He briefly forgot about the situation with Trevor's father and right now Helena was his priority while Sherry and Jake were otherwise occupied with Aliya. Leon hadn't even realized that he had drifted off to sleep once more until he was jolted awake by someone touching his shoulder.

Leon looked around the brightly lit room, wondering who had touched him until he turned his attention to Helena.

Helena was awake.
