Naruto, and Sasuke were sleeping in the same room. The alarm clock was heard in their shared room. Sasuke got up from the bed white Naruto took a big yawn as he stretched his arms behind his head. Naruto and Sasuke walked out of the bedroom only to meet Hinata opening the door to her bedroom.

"Hello Naruto-Kun. Hello Sasuke-Kun. I think it's time we head towards the training center." Said Hinata before she led her teammates towards the lobby of the Hyuuga manor while Naruto and Sasuke walked behind Hinata as she opened the door to the dawn sky.

"All right, let's talk about how we tackle the true Genin test against Kakashi-sensi." Said Hinata.

"I heard that there's quite a lot of negative history between my clan and Kakashi," said Sasuke. "It's likely due to Kakashi having the Sharingan from his late friend and former black sheep of the Uchiha Clan Obito."

"I had no idea that was the case. I just assume your clan was filled with petty assholes."

"Same to your clan as well. I wonder why our clans loathed each other for decades when it was clear that our clans never went to war in The Warring Clan Era."

"The Warring Clan Era?" Asked Naruto.

"It's the era before the hidden villages were founded. It was filled with lawlessness and chaos, and it ended due to Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama's forbidden friendship and a shared dream."

"Interesting."

"It is. The reason why my clan loathes Kakashi is because our eyes are sacred and a non-Uchiha having an Uchiha's eyes is worse than a racial slur against our clan."

"The same goes to my clan as well, Sasuke."

"It's so cool that you guys have such a cool history amongst your clans. I wish I had a clan and sick bloodline traits like you two." Said Naruto.

"Who knows Naruto? Maybe you have family around somewhere just like the mysterious ninja that raised you," said Hinata. "I remember a ninja took care of me and checked on me after Arezu's death. He made sure I was taking care of myself and not throwing away my clan's wealth."

"Maybe they're the same guy."

"Perhaps."

"Good morning class!" Shouted Kakashi as he waved his hand towards his students.

"You're late!" Shouted Naruto.

"We've been waiting for three hours doing nothing! You better have a good explanation on why we've had to wait for so long!?" Shouted Sasuke.

"I was lost on the path of life," Said Kakashi before he walked towards a stump as he placed an alarm clock on it then set up a time. "I've set this alarm clock to go off at noon." The Jonin then showed a pair of bells to Naruto, Sasuke, and Hinata before Kakashi said "I have here two small bells…Your challenge is to steal these from me before the timer sounds. Anyone who fails…doesn't get any lunch. Instead, you will be tied to that tree stump, so I can eat your lunch in front of you."

'Damn it. That's cruel. Even after that feast Hinata cooked, I'm starving!' Thought Naruto, in anger.

"All you need is just one bell…apiece. But since there aren't enough to go around, one of you is definitely headed for the stump…And whoever that is will be the first of you to fail. One of you is on your way back to school…and disgrace."

Naruto stepped forward as he said "I guess I'll volunteer. After all, I only passed the first test due to a technicality. Nothing more."

"Naruto you are not leaving this team I am!" Shouted Sasuke as he approached Naruto. "You and Hinata are orphans, and it will only be a matter of time before you both need to make income on your own. Even if I get disowned, my brother and sister-in-law agreed to take me in before I stand on my own two feet."

"No, I'm leaving this team!" Shouted Hinata. "I'm rich as fuck and I can get a job in the meanwhile! The two of you are brothers and I'm letting the two of you be separated!"

"You…pass!" Said Kakashi as he let out a smile.

"What…?" Asked Sasuke in confusion.

"Huh?" Asked Naruto.

"We pass!? Just like that!" Shouted Hinata in a confused yet joyful tone.

"You completely understood the point of the exercise before it even began. That is why you three passed." Said Kakashi.
"It had a point…!?" Asked Naruto in confusion.

"But…none of us even know what the point is." Said Hinata.

"I don't believe this. Perhaps we should design teams that have cadets getting along. The point of this exercise is teamwork which the three of you passed with flying colors. Naruto Hinata and Sasuke. Each of you volunteered to leave the team and take another year of the academy for completely selfless reasons. You realized you were a team and learned to act as one. Yes, it's necessary for ninja to have individual skills, but…What is even more important now is teamwork! Making a play as an individual is bad for the team and exposes your comrades to unnecessary danger. You might as well kill them yourself…Here's an example." Said Kakashi before disappearing before reappearing and grabbing Sasuke with a headlock before he said, "Naruto kill Hinata or Sasuke dies!"

"No, I won't! I'll save them both!" Shouted Naruto.

"The day could come…when one of you may be taken hostage, and you're forced to make such a choice. When you are on a mission, your lives will always be on the line," said Kakashi before he walked towards the memorial stone. "Look at the marker…all the names carved in stone. Heroes of our village. Ninja-" Said Kakashi before Naruto interrupted him.

"That's it! I just made up my mind! There's where I want my name to go! I'm not going to throw my life away! I want to be like them–A hero!" Sasuke shook his head.

'Oh Naruto. You poor innocent soul.' Thought Hinata.

"...But the ones listed there aren't just any heroes…"

"Really? What kind of heroes are they?"

"The dead kind. They died in the line of duty," said Kakashi before Naruto looked away in embarrassed shame. "This is a memorial; it includes the name of my best friend Uchiha Obito. Kakashi snapped his fingers before he said "This exercise is now concluded. You all pass! That's all for today, team seven. Your duties will commence tomorrow!"

"I…I did it! I did it! I'm a ninja! Ninja! Ninja! Ninja! Hey Sasuke Hinata wants to go out and celebrate?!"

"Sorry, but I can't," said Sasuke. "I have to inform my father and brother that I passed the Genin test. I'll see you tomorrow."

"What about you Lady Hinata? Would you like to celebrate with me?"

Hinata blushed as she fidgeted her fingers before she said "I…I would…l-love to."

"Sounds great!" Shouted Naruto before he grabbed Hinata's hand before the two of them began running.

"I never really hung out with a friend for reasons other than training. So, I let you lead the way." Said Naruto.

"Sounds good. I'll make sure we get lunch, go shopping, and visit Iruka-sensei. Sounds good?" Asked Hinata.

"Of course. Where do you want to go first?"

"I think we should visit Iruka and inform him we passed."

"Well then let's go!" Shouted Naruto before he and Hinata ran towards the academy with their fingers intertwined.

"You invited me to lunch because you wanted to learn something, right, Iruka? What is it?" Asked Hiruzen.

"Group seven-Naruto and the others…what kind of teacher did you assign to them, lord Hokage? Is he very strict?" Asked Iruka in concern for his student.

"...Who…Kakashi? Does it worry you? Here! It's a roster of all of Kakshi's previous students among the junior-level shinobi–Who passed and who failed." Said Hiruzen before he handed Iruka the state documents. Iruka took a quick look at the document as his eyes widened.

'It…It says…!'

The door busted open revealing an overjoyed Naruto as he shouted "Guess what Iruka-Sensei? I passed the real Genin test! Believe it!"

Iruka sighed in relief before he said "That's wonderful Naruto! How about we can have ramen to celebrate your achievement."

Naruto blushed before he said "I have plans with a friend Iruka. Sorry."

"No need to worry about it. Take care Naruto!" Said Iruka before Naruto waved and approached Hinata before running into a pair of smaller and younger people.

"Hey, watch where you're going, pipsqueak!"

"Hey boss. I see you're out on a date. Congratulations!" Shouted Konohamarau.

"H-Hinata's not my girlfriend!" Shouted Naruto as he blushed, and his hands flapped.

"Your actions say otherwise. Anyway, here are my friends. Moegi and Udon. This is my friend Naruto."

"Hey Naruto," said Moegi. "I heard a lot about you from Kono-Kun."

"Don't call me Moegi!" Shouted Konohamaru as he blushed angrily at his friend.

"Why not? I know you like it deep down."

"I do not!"

"Alright you two stop this now," Said Udon before he told Naruto "We're surrounded by idiots."

"You three remind me a lot like my own team."

"Is that meant to be an insult?"

"N-no! Not at all! Konohomarau and Moegi may argue a lot but deep down they care for each other like siblings. While you Udon are the calming presence that Konohamru and Moegi need while both of them bring you out of your shell. Me and Hinata argue all the time, but we really care for each other and Sasuke-Teme is in the same role as Udon."

"Wow, thanks for the compliment, boss! We'll see you later!" Shouted Konoharmaru before he, Moegi and Udon walked towards their class.

"Those three really are like younger versions of me, you and Sasuke." Said Hinata.

"Yeah, they are. What's next on the agenda?"

"Well…let's shop for some much-needed weapons."

"The shops…won't give me anything…"

"Well fuck them. I can close these shops with my political power. After all, I am technically a clan leader. So, I have much influence over the village."

"Um…You don't need to-"

"I insist. I'm not letting my best friend get killed due to the village's idiotic grudge. Let's go."

Sasuke took a deep breath before he entered the Uchiha compound only to find a maniac ninja running laps around the clan.

"Hey you! This is Uchiha territory!" Shouted Sasuke in a stern tone.

"Oh! Sorry I lost a bet with my rival, so I had to not wear spandex for a week and lick his boots."

"Gross! I had to do that shit numerous times! Anyway, the name's Uchiha Sasuke. I just passed the Genin test alongside Hyuuga Hinata, and Uzumaki Naruto with flying colors. My sensei is Hatake Kaskahi!"

"Cool, I know Kakashi as well. Or at least my sensei knows him?"

"Wait, you're the handsome devil Rock Lee, aren't you?"

"That's right! It's an honor to meet one of the children of the strongest clan. I want to combat you so I can prove myself as a capable shinobi to not just Gui-Sensei but my teammates Tenten and Uchiha Ryu."

"I see. Rock Lee. I have to ask two questions to find out if you're worthy of a duel?"

"What do you think of Uzumaki Naruto?"

"I don't know."

"What do you mean you don't know?" Asked Sasuke as he raised an eyebrow.

"I never met Naruto so I can't judge a good or bad person by just rumors and image. I have to meet them in order to understand them."

"I see," Said Sasuke before he said, "Why do you want to surpass Uchiha Ryu?"

"He…is my biggest foe and doubter…Although we have saved each other on missions beforehand. I feel like it was only pragmatic instead of the goodness from his heart. I want to prove that it doesn't matter what your heritage and 'natural talent' you have. Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard."

"Believe it or not. I couldn't agree more, and I learned that via Naruto. So, let's see what you're made of." Said Sasuke before he charged towards Rock Lee as he quickly got into a battle stance before he punched only for Rock Lee to completely disappear.

"Konoha Whirlwind!" Shouted Rock Lee causing Sasuke to duck only for him to realize that he can't dodge, only block. It failed as Rock Lee landed a kick right into Sasuke's face sending him towards his back.

'What was that! Not Ninjutsu, not Genjutsu. Don't tell he can only use Taijutsu!' Thought Sasuke in frustration.

'I'm in his head already. Seems like Sasuke still has much to learn.

Sasuke quickly made hand signs before he said "Fire-style. Fireball Jutsu!" A large Fireball was created only for Rock Lee to burst through it before landing a kick into Sasuke's abdomen before successfully doing a submission causing Sasuke to fall down on the ground. He was barely able to get up. Sasuke threw shuriken and after shuriken, but Rock Lee kept destroying them with simple kicks before disappearing before elbowing Sasuke in the torso, ending the match.

"That…was…humbling…" said Sasuke as Rock Lee helped him up.

"You weren't bad yourself Sasuke. You made me use 10% of my base form."

"What?"

A clapping noise was heard as Ryu appeared and said "Way to lose to a disabled retard Sasuke! How embarrassing. This is a main house child! Pathetic!"

"Hey, don't talk to your teammate that way!" Shouted Sasuke.

"I just did. What are you going to do about it? You two can't beat me, you'll just your pride will be wounded even more. Have a good day, Sasuke!" Shouted Ryu before he walked towards the clan.

"Son of a bitch!"

"He's not worth your anger Sasuke. The angrier a shinobi becomes the more tunnel vision he develops." Said Rock Lee.

"I'll keep that in mind during missions. Take care Lee." Said Sasuke before the Uchiha and his new acquaintance went their separate ways.

"I paid you double, and you still say no?! That's criminal!" Screamed Hinata in a fit of rage as she slammed her fist on the table.

"We don't serve retarded demons." Said the shopkeeper.

"Perhaps you should look from within first. We're leaving Naruto!" Shouted Hinata before Naruto nodded as he stuck out his tongue.

"Sasuke. I just heard from Ryu about your spar with that disabled wannabe." Said Fugaku as the cloaked figure stood next to him.

'I fucking hate Ryu. It seems like his purpose is to make everyone around him miserable.' Thought Sasuke as he gulped.

"Sit, Sasuke," Said Fugaku with killing intent. Sasuke gulped before he sat down towards the chair only for Fugaku to slap him with a flaming hand. "Don't you dare lose to someone like that again. Or you will get much worse than a slap. Do I make myself clear?"

"Y-yes father. I'll do b-better next time."

"Pretty soon there won't be another next time, Sasuke. One way another. You are dismissed." Sasuke nodded as Fugaku muttered "What a fucking dissappointment…"

A door opened in Izumi and Itachi's mansion as Mina wrote certain phrases as Izumi said, "Good job!"

"I did it!" Shouted Mina.

"Yes, you did, my daughter. Oh, hey Sa-."

"Mina, could you go to your room for a bit? You're not in trouble, we just need to talk with Uncle Sasuke."

"Okay mum." Said Mina before she walked to her room.

"Sasuke, it happened again, didn't it?" All Sasuke could do was nod.

"That piece of shit," said Itachi as he crushed his teacup in anger. It was rare that Itachi showed bouts of rage. "If it wasn't for his role, I would've beaten the snot out of Fugaku years ago."

Izumi cried as she said "Sasuke you know it's getting worse. We won't be mad if we need to leave the clan for you to be safe. We want to look out for you."

"I promise things will stop. It's my fault that I lost to Rock Lee, so I deserve the punishment."

Itachi walked away before Izumi said "Itachi…"

"Yes?"

"Don't attack him."

"I know Izumi. I'll do the next best thing. Fugaku knows I'm stronger than him."

"You know the risks if you challenge him."

"And I'm willing to take it. Stay with Sasuke for now." Said Itachi before he left towards Fugaku.

"Mama…What's going on…?" Asked Mina.

'When it rains it pours. I need a smoke.' Thought Izumi before she said, "Mina your grandpa…isn't the best person."

"He beats Uncle. That's mean!" Shouted Mina before she sobbed before hugging Sasuke's leg. "Mina doesn't want to lose Uncle Sasuke."

"Mina. I'm sorry. You're only two years old. I know you're advanced for your age, but no toddler should see the evil in the world." Said Izumi as she cried before hugging Sasuke and Mina as the three of them shared a somber moment together.

Fugaku lit up a cigarette before Itachi opened the door with his three tomoe-Sharingan. Fugaku knew his all-but estranged son was pissed.

"Uchiha Fugaku."

"Yes, my boy?"

"Don't my boy me. You think you would be less risky when you abuse my brother."

"It's not abuse Itachi and you should know it. It's teaching."

"Bullshit!"

"Excuse me?"

"I said bullshit. You think I put my hands on my daughter or my wife to keep them in line?! Only fools like you would think that! I'm not blind Fugaku. I know your deal with ROOT. I know everything about the clan and village secrets."

"Don't tell me you're going to air out our dirty laundry now, will you? It will result in nothing but destruction and civil war. That will make you a hypocrite in every soft belief you developed."

"I am a monster?" Asked Fugaku as he laughed, "If anyone is a monster it's the fox brat that Sasuke and your wife visits."

'Sasuke and Izumi visit Naruto!' Thought Itachi before he said "I admit I'm not the biggest fan of Naruto especially when I was younger. However, I let my family have freedom unlike you. Sasuke is the most joyful when around Naruto, not Izumi or even me. Fugaku if I find any reason that your abuse gets any worse. I will fucking kill you and take the clan's leadership by myself. You know you can't beat me. So, whenever you put your hands on Sasuke your back of your mind knows the clock is ticking. Tick-tick father. Time is running out and past sins are due." Said Itachi before he walked away and lit up a cigarette.

"It feels wrong to use a dead person's ninja gear." Said Naruto as Hinata handed him another gear from a long-dead Hyuuga as Ayaka and Asana appeared throughout various parts of the Hyuuga Manor's walls and floors.

"Don't worry about it Naruto-Kun. I just want you to be as safe as possible." Said Hinata.

"I don't feel comfortable in the clothing to be honest."

"Alright. If you want to wear bright orange because of the texture I won't stop, you." Said Hinata as she held Naruto's hand.

'God, I want to kiss him so bad…Though the last thing I want is to force myself into him. It's so hard to find the difference between flirting and harassing.' Naruto kissed Hinata's hand causing both of them to furiously blush.

"Aw we want it on the lips." Complained The Hyuuga Phantoms causing Hinata to clench her fists in anger as she and Naruto blush even harder.
