"How are we going to awaken him"Laylamon said shivering at the thought of his wrath. "Your overreacting, it's not even that big of a deal"Daemon said cackling at Laylamon's cowardice. "How about you do it then"Laylamon said pushing Daemon forward. "N-No I'm fine"Daemon said spluttering his words. "Look who's scared now"Laylamon said chortling at Daemons infuriated expression. "Your gonna pay for embarrassing me"Daemon said cursing her out under his breath every few seconds. "SEE this is why I call you the comedic relief of the demon lords "Laylamon said. Daemon growled in annoyance before turning away from her.
"Now what happened to you two to cause so much tension in the room" the old man digimon said. "Barbomon shut up"Daemon fair to the more revealed demon lord. "Ooooh, someone on the wrong side of the bed. Or are you reminiscing about your defeat"Barbomon said laughing his ass of. "Barbomon don't you know that I took on more powerful Royal knights than you so don't go acting like your more powerful than me"Daemon said a second from losing his temper. Though Barbomon had no comeback for Daemon little rant. "Hahaha, Barbomon when you say something at least have a comeback"Lillithmon said giggling. Barbomon growled before taking a few deep breaths. "Anyway why are you guys here"Barbomon said. "We were told to wake up it "Daemon said. "Why though? Don't we still have a few months before our plan finished, and he is just cause mass destruction down here "Barbamon said looking a bit scared.
"Don't ask us we haven't got a clue"Lillithmon said snarling. "Well anyway we need to think of a way to awaken it"Daemon said in a thinking pose. "Don't look at me, I'm not the brains of the demon lords "Lillithmon said bringing out a file for her nails. "At least act like your thinking of a plan"Barbamon said face faulting." Honestly, why would I care about you twos opinion of me" she said looking at him with a disgusted look on her face. "This is gonna take a while"Daemon said sighing.
A few hours later we found the same three demon lord's laying on the floor exhausted. Or should I say two since Laylamon was sitting on the side painting her nails with not a care in the world. "Will you at least help us now "Barbomon said absolutely exhausted. "Eh, honestly I'm fine with just sitting here"Lillithmon said seemingly not caring about the two glares aimed straight at her. "At least have some sense of guilt"Daemon said growling at her because of her lack of effort. Lillithmon just rolled her eyes before refocusing her attention on her nails. Daemon just took a few deep breaths in knowing that his efforts were futile. "Well what are our plans now"Barbomon asked still glaring at Lillithmon. "Honestly, I haven't got a clue"Daemon said shrugging his shoulders.
Suddenly the doors opened as the three demon lords saw the digimon with guns enter the room. "I have come to see if you useless digimon have awoken it" The digimon with guns said nonchalantly. "Uhh, well about that"Barbomon said sheepishly. "You didn't wake it up did you" the digimon with guns said face faulting. "No"Barbomon said scratching his chin. "You guys are so useless" the digimon with guns said glaring." Well how about you try to wake it up "Lillithmon said looking her eyes going back to painting her nails. "It's not even that hard let me show you" the digimon with guns said.
"Do you know why we have to wake it up right now anyway "Daemon said following the digimon with guns. "Honestly I was wondering myself, but we were told to do it so it doesn't really matter" the digimon with guns said sighing. "Ok of you say so"Daemon said shrugging his shoulders. The demon lords continued their banter and arguing before arriving at a room. "Well we're here" the digimon with guns said.
The demon lords opened the door seeing a goat-like digimon inside. "How are we going to wake him up without him going into a rampage"Barbomon said raising his eyebrows. "Well I got this serum to put him in a kind of comatose state" The digimon with guns said. Daemon, Barbamon, and surprisingly Lillithmon all face faulted. "You failed to mention this before, we couldn't safely wake him up cause of this"Daemon said in a tone of annoyance. "Whatever" the digimon with guns said rolling his eyes. "Why do we need to put it in a comatose state anyway, it will just be the same as it sleeping"Lillithmon said. "No, it's sleep is incredibly hard to awaken it from while the comatose state is easy to wake it up from" said Barbamon in a tired tone.
"Ok, let's wake it up "the digimon with guns said holding up a gun ready to shoot. "Wait don't shoot it, even I don't wish that fate on it" said Barbamon furiously. Though before they could react he fired a brown thing landing straight into the goat-like digimon's mouth. "What did you do"Barbamon shouted at the digimon with guns. "Don't worry it's just a snack" The digimon with guns said blowing on the smoke off his guns. Suddenly a loud roar could be heard from the goat-like creature as it thrashed around. However again before everyone could react the digimon with guns injected a seringe into the other digimon. As the goat-like digimon quited down it slowly became motionless as the seringe started to kick in. "Ok now all you useless digimon better come help me carry this fatty back too the base "He was met with grumbles and giggles as even the goat digimon seemed to react to being called a fatty.
Beep Beep! Was heard as two stretchers were being pushed by multiple paramedics. The first stretcher had a girl with brown hair with a pink hairclip through it. She was wearing a white dress with yellow sunflowers on it and yellow sunflowers it. This girl was Hikari Yagami she had her arm already in a cast and seemed unconscious not knowing how worried her friends and siblings were for her right now.
The second stretcher had a blond haired kid. He has on a basketball jersey and shorts with a baseball cap topping off his look. This boy was Takeru Takaishi. Unlike Hikari he had a ventilator attached to him to help him breathe. His whole face was also extremely red and swollen and has bruises everywhere. Now you might be asking what happened, but that will be explained a little later.
"The girl has no serious injuries to speak of except her broken arm and some bruises on her head" the first paramedic said to the rest of the medics. "Do you know the cause of the injuries"a second paramedic said. "No we have no knowledge on what happened" the first paramedic responded. "Well at least the girl has near zero serious damage done to her however the boy is a different question" the second paramedic said in a tone of urgency. "Ya, I need to take him straight to ER" the first paramedic said turning around the corner before dashing off with TK's stretcher.
"Are you sure they are going to be fine"Sora said pacing around the hospital room due to worry. "I know this is so nerve wracking"Miyako said in a downcasted expression. This was the first time anyone in the group had seen her , yes many times mostly at Davis, but sad never. "Tai, remind me exactly what happened"Mimi said also having a sad expression on her face. "Mimi, this is the last time I am talking you that we don't know. As soon as we got their Patamon and Gatomon fainted out of exhaustion and still haven't woken up"Tai said in a grumpy tone. "Well at least we have some developments. We now about Tai's new evolution, a new threat, and any information we get from TK and Kari"Izzy said still typing on his computer. "Well this is taking forever and I am really worried. Joe are you able to get into the hospital"Yamato asked pleadingly. "I'm so sorry Matt, but I am still in training their is nothing I can do right now. However when they come out I can monitor their health and help them recover "Joe said apologizing.
"It's fine"Yamato huffed. Suddenly Cody stood up approaching the front desk. "Hello, our friends are inside getting treated. Do you know how long it might take"Cody asked hopefully. Yolei, Daisuke, abs Ken all approached Cody. "Well can I have their names" they receptionist asked. "Yes, their names are TK and Kari"Cody said in response. "Let's see here, so Kari should just about be done. She has no major injuries, and should be coming out soon" the receptionist said eye smiling at the group. "Yes, KARI is OK"Davis yelled. "Well that's good news that means her and TK can tell us what's going on"Cody said gleefully. "Ya, well about that. TK right now is going through surgery" The receptionist said before leaving for the room behind the lobby desk.
"SURGERY"Yolei screamed flabbergasted. The rest of the digidestined quickly hurried over due to the ruckus when they heard the receptionist. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN HES IN SURGERY "Matt screamed being restrained by Tai and Joe. "What are we going to do"Mimi said hands covering her mouth. All of the digidestined were in various degrees anger or sadness. "Joe what are we going to do"Sora asked in horror. "Well while we can't immediately jump to conclusions. Surgery could mean many different thing's for TK. While I don't know the level of ailment TK is at now it is safe to say it Is pretty serious "Joe said trying to comfort the other digidestined. "This day is just getting worse and worse"Tai said still trying to comfort Matt.
Suddenly a door opened on the other end of the lobby as a nurse came out. Tai and Matt rushed towards the nurse hoping for information about their siblings."Oh, umm do you need something" the nurse said as Tai and Matt rushed towards her. "Do you have any information about the states of Hikari Kamiya and Takeru Takaishi"Tai asked pleadingly. "I actually do, I was just here to report to Hikari's family about her conditions" The nurse said. "Oh please, say she is ok"Tai said extremely worried. "Luckily she is fine, all she has is a broken arm so she will be released in a few hours" The nurse said smiling. "What about TK"Matt said panicking. "Oh I'm sorry, I don't really know" The nurse said before hurrying off motioning the digidestined to go to Kari's room.
"Guys let's go to Kari's room"Tai shouted motioning for the other digidestined to follow him. "Ok, let's go"Davis said joyfully. The digidestined trecked through the hospital rooms before finally arriving at the room the nurse told them to go to. Most of the digidestined were still very restless and sad at the fact that TK was in surgery, but happy because Kari was ok.
Entering the room they saw an unconscious Kari with her arm in a cast and a few bandages scattered across her face and body. "She's ok"Tai said in relief. He sat by her bedside as all the other digidestined looked at her in relief. Even Yamato who was still caught up about TK looked in slight relief. Suddenly, Kari started to twitch as the heart monitor beside her started beeping. Her heart rate was jumping a lot higher then what it was before. "Kari, are you ok"Tai said worrying touching her forehead to check for a fever. Kari seemed to react to the touch as she groaned.
Slowly opening her eyes, Hikari felt absolutely exhausted. Her and Takeru were so close to getting back her older brother and the rest of the digidestined when they were attacked. Honestly she still was confused on what it was. It was a green, virus-like digimon. All she remembered was getting hit on the head and hearing TK asking her to wake up. After that it was all fuzzy, but she really wondered if TK was ok. Suddenly she saw a blurry figure was above her. Before she could even think about it she had sat up and yelled TK's name.
Tai has stood over Kari's twitching body to check off she was ok. "TK"Kari screamed as she sat up. Tai fell back in surprise as he was lifted back up by Sora. "Kari are you ok"Mimi said rushing to Kari's side. Kari was holding her head and muttering things about TK. Yolei quickly rushed behind Mimi to help Kari calm down. "Kari, calm down and tell us what happened"Mimi said shaking Kari's shoulders. Kari slowly looked up her eyes watering and started talking deep breaths. "Are you sure she doesn't need some more time"Sora whispered in Tai's ears. "She's fine"Tai said out loud, everyone looking at him confused. "Take deep breaths Kari"Yolei said ignoring Tai's outburst.
Kari slowly started to calm down following Yolei's advice. "Now can you tell us what happened"Mimi said. "Ya"Kari said explaining everything that happened including the weird green virus digimon attacking them. "It seems they ran into Algomon, however it is supposed to be locked in the dark ocean with other evil digimon"Koushiro said his eyes widening. "Wait, so how did it get out"Tai said distressed. "I don't know, I will contact Gennai about it"Koushiro said typing in his computer.
"Where Is TK"Kari said tears in her eyes. "He is still in surgery"Matt said turning away. Kari's eyes widened in shock as tears fell. "Is he in critical danger"Kari asked tears freely falling down her face. "Not that we know of, but anything is possible" Cody said looking at the ground. "It's all b-because of me"Kari said now fully sobbing. Tai stood up and started comforting his sister as she slowly got all her tears out. "So what is our plan"Ken said. "Should we wait for TK to wake up, or make another plan"Joe said looking towards Izzy.
"Well while TK might have more information on what we are facing. We have no clue how long it will take for him to wake up and be in healthy condition. Though if we blindly charge, we might run into a trap. We don't even know where to start, so I say we should just wait a while to see how long it might take for TK to wake up "Izzy said still searching for possibilities. Everyone nodded understanding Izzy's logic in the situation. As soon as Izzy was done the nurse came in ushering them out of the room back to the waiting room to wait for TK.
7 hours later...
"How long WILL THIS TAKE"Yamato screamed to an empty lobby. Him, Taichi, Hikari, and Daisuke were the only ones still left still left waiting, but even then only him and Taichi were still awake. The rest of the digidestined went home to sleep for the night before checking back on TK. Hikari had been thankfully released due to her not very serious injuries. Yamato was honestly livid that he had not a single reassurance his brother was simply alive at this moment. Every time he asked the people in the lobby they would say he's in surgery. LIKE I KNOW, but just tell me if he's ok. "Yamato please go to sleep it's not healthy, and we both know that Takeru would not want you to be awake like this"Taichi said rubbing his eyes out of sleepiness. It was the middle of the night and while he had slept he really wanted his best friend to get some sleep. "How can I sleep when my brother could be fighting for his LIFE"Yamato said screaming tears falling out of his eyes. He slowly fell down to the ground finally breaking down in tears. Tai went down to comfort his best friend through his hardships. Though he also thought of TK as a little brother, his friend needed his full support so that would be his focus.
"Matt please you need to take a nap, then time will pass and TK will be alright"Tai tried to explain to the emotional best friend. "What if the doctor comes back"Matt said crying. "I called Nancy and Hiroaki to come"Tai said. Matt just nodded sitting on the seat and passing out immediately. "Well now that he is asleep, I need to get some rest so I can be awake by the time TK's results come back". Tai quickly closed his eyes placing his head on Matt's shoulders, fell over in lack of sleep from all the action.
The next day...
Matt woke up with a start, as his eyes opened he felt Tai leaning his head on his shoulder. His heartbeat quickened, but slowly settled down as he took in his surroundings. He saw Daisuke and Hikari sleeping right next to him and the women at the lobby desk that was occasionally looking their way in a mix of concern and confusion. Yawning he stood up stretching out his and and shoulders as his memories from the previous day hit him. "Oh no Takeru" he said with barely veiled terror. "Oh Matt, your awake"a voice behind him said. He turned around to see his dad standing behind him with his mom not very far behind. "Ya" he said pausing trying to come up with words. "Is TK ok"Matt whispered his parents barely hearing him. "Matt we still haven't got anything on his condition it is very worrisome, but overnight surgeries do happen" his dad said smoking a cigarette.
"Matt your awake"a voice said behind him. Turning around he saw Tai, Davis, and Kari sitting on the seats. "Is he awake"Davis asked hopeful. "No, no news yet"Matt replied. Honestly Matt didn't particularly like Davis, he always tried to form a rivalry between TK and Davis about Kari when there wasn't one in the first place. Anyway they were fellow digidestined so he had to at least be civil. "How much longer can this take"Tai said thinking of a surgery that would take this long. "Ya, it is really worrisome "Kari said a frown on her face. "Well all we can do is wait, we've tried asking so many times"Tai said getting up and greeting Matt's parents. "Kari, are you sure you know nothing else"Matt said still sad.
Suddenly a tired groan came from the door as a doctor exited. "Takeru" he said and watched as two adults and four children rushed over. "Is he ok, did something happen, did you cure it"Matt asked rapid firing questions. "Wait and calm down" the doctor said waiting for Matt to cease his questioning. "Let me start by saying that his only physical injury is some bad bruises and cuts around his stomach area howev-"the doctor said but was cut off. "So then why did it take so long"Davis asked the doctor signing. "You didn't let me finish right now he has slipped into a coma, but that is not the worst news. He has been prescribed with Coronary Heart disease". "What is that"Davis asked. "It's a heart disease that is caused by not enough blood flowing to the heart. He has 30% chance of living 8.5 more years though it is common to have a heart attack which could kill him" the doctor said in a sad tone. Suddenly a thud was heard as Matt had fainted from stress and the news. Hikari was crying on the ground being comforted by Daisuke. Tai was stony faced as Hiroaki tried to comfort Nancy. The doctor quickly took Matt's fainted body on his back motioning for the friends and family to follow him.
Daisuke couldn't take it anymore, this room was so freaking stuffy. Him and Ken had been stuck here for what felt like days and he was getting fed up with it. Ughhh, he had promised himself only his stupid grinning mask would get annoyed so easily. His childhood was so lonely his uncharismatic self had made no friends. He was the loner in school that would always be alone. That's why he had moved in middle school and created a bubbly and overbearingly energetic kid that loved Hikari Yagami. He didn't actually like Hikari Yagami, but he had to make friends somehow and the digidestined provided a great opportunity. He still felt like such a phony to everybody, except Veemon. Someone who he immediately took interest in was Takeru. He had decided to just use the boy as a rival, but something about him had always made something jump inside him, but he didn't know why. All he hoped was someone would free them soon, because he was starting to lose it.
It had started out like any other day, but after arriving to the swamp he and Ken had come face to face with Daemon. They had tried to run to warn the other digidestined, but we were blindsided and captured. All he could remember other the cell from after that was some Bakemon saying stuff about using Kens dark spots to replicate memories of us to impersonate us. That could mean real danger for everyone else, I didn't even know the dark spore could do that. The others could be walking into a trap and he had to stop it before it was to late. While Davis had still not shown his true colors to the others he didn't want them to get hurt because they were all good people. However, he didn't really know what to do after all he was chained up too a wall in a jail cell. Suddenly he heard a voice in his head "Don't give up Davis" the mysterious voice said. However Davis recognized the voice, was that TK? Was he hallucinating, did they put something in the food.
"Davis why are you blushing, do you have a fever"Ken said breaking him out of his thoughts. "Wha- NO"Davis yelled slipping his mask on. He always wondered if he showed his true depressed self would the rest of the digidestined still be friends with him. I mean at least he shares one personality trait with his mask which was his bed for attention. "This is a weird time to be blushing his all"Ken said worried. "Well it was eyes that you fainted yesterday, but more your fine"Daisuke responded. "That was cause of them"Ken said huffing. "Well anyway, how are you holding up"Daisuke asked. "Fine, but I am honestly really worried for everyone else"Ken agreed. Honestly Daisuke, couldn't agree more his thoughts were purely negative. For all we know they could be locked up"Daisuke said forgetting to act cheerful. Ken immediately looked confusing noting the lack of enthusiasm. "Are you ok, you're not being as optimistic as usual"Ken said worried for his friend.
"Ya, I'm fine just worried about how we are going to get out of this dungeon"Daisuke said a far off look in his eyes. "Ya,I know what you me-"Ken was cut off as a banging was heard on the door making the two boys jump in fright. "You two are wanted"a Diaboromon said looking at them creepily. "AAH"Daisuke screamed in fright as they were unchained. Not reacting to the scream Ken stood still. "Now follow me"Diaboromon said turning back. "Only if you tell us where Veemon and Wormmon are"Ken responded. "Oh, those two are in a separate cell, we didn't kill them don't worry "the Dizboromon said grinning. It unchained them from the wall, before dragging them by the arms.
It's arms were cold and metallic, as it grinned at us. We were dead, was this the end were we going to die. How could we have gotten captured. Couldn't we just turn back time and not go that direction. We are the digidestined we can't be defeated. These were Davis's thoughts as he was dragged by the Diaboromon. The rust of the dirty floor formed scratches on his back, but Daisuke was too tired to care. Soon they entered a room with thirteen capsules thirteen figures resembling crates under them and a giant machine. What was the machine, what were they going to do suck the life out of him. Suddenly the Diaboromon stopped in his tracks and let go. He was about to run, but the weird glint in the digimon's eye stopped him. They sat their for a few minutes in a deafening silence.
A pair of doors burst open as a figure walked in. The Diaboromon quickly bowed before the figure walked and stood in front of them. "Well digidestined it seems you have been captured" the figure said grinning. The two digidestined looked up in horror as a tranquilizer was shot towards them. "DAVIS DUCK"Ken shouted as I quickly ducked. However Ken wasn't so lucky as it hit him straight in the neck immediately causing him to fall down completely unconscious. Davis watched in horror as the figure had a wide grin. "Well it looks like you dodged just in time" The figure said to Daisuke however before Daisuke could react he was stabbed in the neck with a needle from behind.
Takeru jumped up in a frenzy of emotions. Was Hikari ok, what were those digimon, was he alright . Taking a few deep breaths in he observed his surroundings. What was this pitch darkness, with nothing else. What was he going to do, he swiftly got up dusting himself off. Jogging he set himself off to find where he was. All he could see was darkness, but why was he here in the first x place. All he could remember was the green tongs attacking them and him trying to hold them off. After that it all went blank, he wondered if he was dead. "Well that would surely explain this darkness" he said out loud ".
Not expecting an answer he continued to jog forward eventually breaking into a sprint as he got more desperate. Continuing to run he felt like he was going in circles. Takeru was now insanely confused as he stopped his futile efforts top rethink the scenario. "If only I was Koushiro, well maybe I have to think like Koushiro"Takeru said his determination more set now. Starting to brainstorm ideas he started talking out loud. " Well I may be dead, but I dont think that is very likely, because it doesnt seem like anyone else is here with me, so maybe in my mind I mean my mind is pretty dark"as soon as he said that a bright light shone in the distance. "Well I will take that as an affirmative "Takeru said starting to sprint again towards the light.
Eventually Takeru became tired the light just seemed to be moving farther and farther away. "Well this is what I get for not protecting Hikari"he muttered to himself his face becoming downcast it wasnt as if anybody was watching, or was there someone watching? Maybe, if I sit in one place Lucifer will stop playing games with me and just reap my soul. "Oh, I will Takeru"he heard a voice said behind him. Jolting upwards he turned around to nothing, but darkness. "What the hell was that he thought to himself. Maybe, he was hallucinating like always or could this be a warning of some kind? "WAIT, if this is my mind cant I just will the light to stop moving and let me enter"Takeru thought to himself applauding at his great idea. If anyone else was watching they would have face planted at the idea.
However it seemed to work as Takeru soon caught up to the light in a few minutes. "Well maybe I will be able to reach heaven"Takeru said a true smile on his face. Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath he slowly took a step forward letting the light envelop him. Jolting upwards for the second time in the last few minutes Takeru saw data everywhere what the hell was going on. Looking around he saw a giant mountain filled with green and black smoke covering it. On the other side of his vision he could see a giant white ball? Though it kinda looked like an HQ of some kind to someone. Well it was his mind so maybe his HQ and the other side was who knows what? Well might as well confront the darkness first so he could live in peace. Running towards the darkness as an evil presence lurked in the air.
Continuing to run Takeru observed trees, and other biomes that looked very familiar. Almost as if they were in the DIGITAL WORLD, thats it these are his memories about the digital world. That made so much more sense than before. However soon he ran out of his good ones and bad ones slowly oozed into his mind, Devimon, Myotismon, Piedmon, Apoclymon, Daemon, MaloMyotismon, and BlackWarGreymon immedietely started invading his thoughts. However luckily he coudnt dwell on those times much longer as he soon reached the mountain with the black and green smoke covering it. Honestly up close it looked a lot like data to him. However the black smoke was also making him back off. It felt so evil, should he really go in was it safe at all. The questions raced through his head like bowling balls. The depressing thoughts slowly came back, was he even strong enough to confront the darkness he coudnt even protect Hikari. However, if he was scared why was he slowly inching closer to it. "NO, I can do this I am not a helpless child ANYMORE"he screamed, but it was too late. As he entered the smoke he heard a voice call his name. "Hello, TK"a black silhouette said from the shadows. "Devimon"TK whispered back in utter shock and fear.
1.Hello, hopefully you liked this chapter. It took some time to finish as I had done writers block when doing this.
2.The reason I chose Coronary Heart Disease is because I would like to spread awareness about it, and even though it is incurable I feel like people should be more informed about it.
3. Anyway I hope you liked Daisuke's personality change. I know it is slightly sudden, but I was reading a few stories and now I am not so sure that Takari will be the pairing. I know for sure that Sora and Matt will be together maybe Tai will be added to that, Koumi is settled, though Takari could be Daikeru instead, while I might due Kenkari though more likely Kenyako.
