Stimulating Anne Part 2

The next day in Anne's room, the Chan family was growing more and more concerned.

"This waiting is killing me! There's gotta be some way to help Anne come back!" Flip exclaimed.

"Yeah, but what?" Nancy asked.

"I know! Let's get some goodies, to show her that we're here for her." Scooter suggested.

"Great idea!" Mimi exclaimed.

"Agreed, I suggest going to the nearby gift shop and acquiring some Helianthus." Tom suggested.

"Some what?" Suzie asked.

"Sunflowers, and no good, Anne hates flowers, remember?" Alan asked.

"Oh, right." Tom said forgetfully.

"Nevertheless, obtaining get well presents for your sister is an excellent suggestion. I recommend you all just get what you can, though." Charlie reminded his children.

"No problem, Pop. I could tell Anne some of my best jokes." Stanley said.

Henry face palmed.

"Stanley, we're trying to help Anne, not give her a reason to stay knocked out, now look, you and I will go get some pillows while Suzie, Alan, and Tom head over to the gift shop down the hall." Henry said.

"Great! I saw a nice bead bracelet and pendant set there I know Anne will love, the set is made of blue-green jade." Suzie said.

Alan and Tom nodded in agreement.

"Super! While you guys do that, Nancy and I will go get some fresh soup from that gas station down the street, in the meantime, Scooter, you, Mimi, and Chu Chu will go find some blankets." Flip said.

"Count on us, Chief!" Scooter exclaimed.

Chu Chu barked to agree.

As his kids left to do their tasks, Charlie smiled proudly.

"I am very fortunate to have such dedicated children." Charlie commented.

Within twenty minutes, the Chan clan returned.

Henry and Stanley placed a pair of fresh pillows from home under their sister's head.

Suzie, Alan, and Tom returned with a beautiful blue-green jade bead bracelet and matching pendant from the gift shop.

Mimi, Scooter, and Chu Chu entered with a warm thermal blanket.

"How'd you guys find that?" Suzie asked Mimi, Scooter, and Chu Chu.

"We ran into one of the nurses here and she gave them to us." Mimi said.

"Fresh from the laundromat, too." Scooter added.

"Well done, children," Charlie observed, looking around. "but where are Flip and Nancy?"

"Here, Pop, sorry we took so long, but Nancy wanted to buy a dumb milkshake." Flip said.

Nancy then came into the room sipping some chocolate milkshake.

"Hey! I was thirsty! We had to run to that gas station, you know," Nancy said, offended, pulling out another milkshake from behind her back. "I bought one for Anne, too, it's a chocolate peanut butter milkshake, her favorite, I know she loves her protein!"

"I'm very proud of you all, I'm sure your sister will love her gifts." Charlie observed.

Alan looked at Anne's motionless form.

Looks like there's only one thing to do, Alan thought. time for a little twin telepathy! That will bring Anne back for sure!
