Bio: Was born 12 minutes before his sister, Tohru. When the twins were three, their Father passed due to pneumonia while on a business trip. After the funeral, his Grandpa pulled his aside & told him that since his Father was gone, he was now the man of the house. Which meant he had to protect & take care of his Mother & sister. Since then, he devoted himself to getting stronger for their sakes. Tohru was often picked on during their childhood, but he was always there to protect her. When she disappeared one day, he ran around the neighborhood for hours searching for her. He was beyond relieved when she came home. He joined the school swim team when they got to middle school. They soon met Arisa Uotani, a Yankee, & helped her turn her life around and Ichiro Tokoyami, who was always fighting in school because of his situation at home, find other ways to release his anger. When they reached 8th Grade, they met Saki Hanajima (or Hana-Chan). When they found out about Saki's powers, she tried to run away from them, they told her that they still wanted to be her friend & didn't care about her powers. Since then, the 4 of them had been inseparable. Some boys teased him about only hanging out with girls, but he didn't care. As time went on, Kazuko started to develop a crush on Saki. Shortly after the twins entered high school, their Mom was hit & killed in a car accident. When they reached the hospital, Kyoko had already passed away. When Tohru started blaming herself for their Mother's death, Kazuko tried to convince her that it wasn't. During the funeral, he made a vow. That he would protect Tohru & never abandon her. A lot of their relatives argued over who would take them in. In the end, it was decided that their Paternal Grandfather would take them in. Since he retired & living on a pension, they decided to work to pay for their own taxes & expenses to lessen the burden on him. Grandpa soon developed a habit of calling Tohru "Kyoko" & Kazuko "Katsuya". Because of this, Kazuko had no choice but to quit the swim team, but not completely. He became a reserve member of the team. He found two jobs. One as a waiter at a restaurant & the other at a moving company. Four months later, their Grandfather told them that their Paternal Aunt & her family would be moving into the house, but it needed to be remodeled first. He was going to be staying with them during the construction. But because their house was so small, he asked if they had any friends they could stay with. They said yes, but neither of them wanted to cause trouble for Arisa or Saki, so they decided that they would secretly move into a tent in the woods. A week later, while they were on their way to school, they found the house belonging to Shigure & their classmate, Yuki Sohma. That was the day their adventures with the Sohma Family began.
