Monday at Minnesota Middle School*
The guys walk in and go to their classes. They all dread gym class since it's dodgeball day. The gym teacher blows his whistle for the game to start*
Logan: There's got to be another way to get exercise than to be part of a war of rubber balls in this room *Jumps away from being hit by one*
James: Mr. Sanchez says this game is about team work. But we can't work as team if we have to sit out of the game after being hit by a ball
Kendall: Exactly. Duck! Zachary is about pummel you
James ducks down* Thanks buddy *High fives him. They're both tagged out while distracted. Only Carlos is left cuz Logan was the first to be out*
Zachary: You're fast on the ice but are you fast enough to beat me?
Carlos: I sure am. I'm very confident
Zachary: I'll be the judge of that
Logan: Carlos be careful. He's got a very strong arm
Carlos: I've got this Logan. I have plan
Zachary effortlessly throws dodgeballs at the young Latino very rapidly and shocked none of them hit Carlos who tags him out easily*
blows his whistle* Coach Sanchez: Team A wins! Good job boys
Zachary: B-B-But that's not possible! He must've cheated! I want a rematch!
Coach Sanchez: Let it go Zachary. Sometimes you lose. It's not a big deal *rolls his eyes sighing exasperated*
All the students go to their next class after taking showers in the locker room*
During lunch the guys discuss how they're gonna hang out after school*
Kendall: We can go to the comic book store. My mom gave me money to buy some that she thinks are "educational and not brain rotting" *Rolls his eyes at her overprotectiveness*
James: I was thinking we can go to the arcade
Carlos: I wanna go to the food court at the mall
Logan: We should go to the public library to enrich our knowledge and improve our education
James: Boo! That's boring!
Logan: Like staring at a screen for 5 hours shooting zombies is any better!!
James: At least I know how to be prepared for a zombie apocalypse!
Logan: If you actually did something productive with your life you would know there will never be one!
Kendall: Enough! You two arguing is upsetting Carlos!
Carlos: Please stop being mad at each other
Logan: Sorry amigo. *sighs* I'll go to the library on my own. It's relaxing and peaceful. I'll be with people who actually RESPECT books *glares at James while saying that*
Kendall: Logan it's ok. He didn't mean it
Logan: Yeah he did. I don't want to talk about this anymore *They finish their food and throw away their trash. After school he goes straight to the public library*
When he's done doing his homework his dad takes him home*
