Menu: Game Start

Normal Speech: "Hey, who is that?"

Thinking: 'Well, this is gonna hurt…'

System: Warning. You have skipped the tutorial.

Level Up: Shattered Blade has leveled up to #

'Ugh, why does my head hurt?', waking up and looking around, 'Wait, where am I?'

You have been chosen, will you play the game? (Y) (N)

'Am I dreaming?'

No, you are dead, will yo-

'Wait what? If I'm dead then why don't I remember anything?'

That is most likely because you were shot in the head, I will work to prevent this in the future. Will you play the game? (Y) (N)

'Well that explains the headache. So, what's this game I've been chosen for?'

You have been chosen to play the #*?% ^# €#%*.

'I couldn't understand that.'

It is most likely because of your memory loss. If you wish, you can wait here while I fix your memory or you can play the game. It is your choice. (Y) (N)

'Alright, sounds better than being wherever the hell I am right now.' A screen pops up in front of me asking me to press yes or no.

I press yes. Congratulations, you are now playing #*?% ^# €#%*. You have been given (Player Kit).

'What does this "Gamer Kit" do?'

That will be explained in the tutorial. Because you have lost your memory, the tutorial is mandatory and unskippable.

'Alright, can we start then?', getting a little annoyed at having this forced on me.

Say or think "Status". It will open your status menu.

'Status'

Skills

Player Control: Max Level (Keeps player sane, removes outside influence)

Player Body: Max Level (Player's recover HP and MP after sleeping)

'What does "keep player sane" mean?'

It will stop you from killing yourself by forcefully giving you some reason to live.

'What do you mean by forcefully?'

You will find out.

'Ok I guess, let's just move on.'

Very well, moving onto the inventory system...

"Jesus that was longer than I thought it was going to be." Looking around I see that as the tutorial has been playing a house has appeared around me. "Hey where am I now?"

As I said before, I am working on restoring your memories. This was the building that showed up the most.

"Oh cool, any idea on who I was before I died?"

Not right now no. I will let you know when I have fully reconstructed your memories and I will give them to you when they are needed as to not overload your mind. Moving on, if you open your inventory, you will have a prize from completing the tutorial.

Wondering what the prize will be, I quickly say "Inventory". A screen pops up in front of me showing a 50x30 grid with a box in the 1st box. Pressing on the box,

Starter Kit (used): You have gained x1 Sword (dmg = str + dex + 10) |Q: common|, Perk: World Menu, x1 Strange Watch |Q: Godly|.

Taking out the watch, I see that it has a dark brown leather strap with the actual watch being a black metal material.

Skill Learned: Observe

Taking a quick look at my skills page, I see that Observe lets me learn more about objects than I could by just looking at them. Seeing that, I use Observe on the watch.

Strange Watch: Quality Godly | Description: "A watch that displays the right time no matter what world you are on".

'Interesting, this could be very useful.' I think, looking at the description. Putting it on, I see a little box show up at the top right of my vision that shows the time, though it's stuck on 00:00 currently.

For Observing an item beyond your comprehension, -5 HP and Skill: Observe has gained x10 levels.

Grunting as the headache I had from earlier turns into a migraine, "Is there any medicine around here to help me with this?"

It will pass once you are done here. Walk over to the door to continue.

Not having anything else to do, I walk over to the door and grab the doorknob only to have a black screen appear in front of me.

This is the World Menu. If you scroll through the worlds, you will see there are around 20 to choose from. These are all worlds you have seen in your memories. Choose one to regain your knowledge of that world and will be sent there.

"Do I come back here if I die in one of these worlds?"

Yes.

"Is it too late to back out?"

Yes.

"Very well, I guess I'll choose Halo."

Are you sure?

"No, but it looks like the most interesting so I might as well."

Very well, you will regain your memories of this place once you are there.

Good Luck Player, you will need it.

Author Notes: Hi, StormChief25 here. This is my first story so I am going to be meh at writing for a while. I got this idea from another story I read a little while ago called "Shattered" by Sandwichoverlord (go over to his page and read it, it is based on Attack on Titan), and there will be some very similar things in this first chapter thanks to that. I plan on having the next chapter out sometime this next week so watch out for that. Any criticism will be helpful and I will take everything under advisement. Also, I don't own halo or anything else that might show up in here, I just own my OC.
