Sebas Tian the head butler of Nazarick and the pleiades battle maids were bowing before him for the last time as the servers of Yggdrasil were about to shut down.

Momonga looked to his side at his Guardian overseer one last time.

Suzuki closed his eyes, expecting to be back in his apartment when he opened them.
Instead he was standing in a forest, still in his Yggdrasil avatar Momonga.
"Did they delay the shutdown?" Momonga asked as he noticed his voice was much deeper than usual.
He began looking around for clues when he noticed he could feel the wind and smell the scent of nature all around him.
Momonga panicked and quickly cast [Gate], trying to get back to Nazarick. The spell failed causing the overlord to panic more until a green light washed over him and he suddenly felt calm.
Momonga cast [Perfect Unknowable] and began examining the situation he found himself in.
Firstly, he could feel and smell things which wasn't possible in Yggdrasil. Secondly, his interface and all the icons that used to appear in his vision were gone. This could only lead him to one conclusion which seemed impossible.
