Don't You Remember – Chapter 20

The Next Morning

Jane and Maura left the precinct in time for their 9 AM appointment with the lawyer. The lawyer had drawn up all of the necessary paperwork already per Jane's request. The lawyer confirmed with Maura that this was what she wanted. Maura agreed and signed everything that was required as did Jane. The lawyer told them it would take two to three months.

"Can we have the ceremony for both children on the same day?" Maura asked.

"Yes, it will take longer for Zoey's paperwork to be approved so I will request that Tony's ceremony be held on the same day as Zoey's. I know a judge that will be perfect to have sign all the paperwork and she will even perform a little ceremony for the children. It is an important decision that they have agreed with and I think they deserve a fun ceremony." Jane and Maura both smiled at him.

"They are going to be so excited." Jane told their lawyer as Maura squeezed her hand that she had been holding during their entire time with the lawyer.

After the appointment with the lawyer, they went back to the precinct, walking in hand-in-hand. Angela spotted them as she was leaving. She was dropping off lunches for them, Frankie and Frost and Korsak. She noticed a reflective flash and wondered what it was. She looked and saw the ring on Maura's finger. "Janie, do you and Maura have something to tell me?" Angela asked with a smile in her voice.

Jane pondered what her Ma was talking about. She followed her mother's eyes and they landed on Maura's left hand. 'Oh shit,' Jane told herself, she had forgotten to tell her mother about her engagement.

"Ma," Jane paused and smiled at her, "I forgot to tell you. The children and I asked Maura to marry us last night."

Angela smiled, "the children?"

"Yes, they helped me ask Maura to marry me, they were so cute. Most importantly Maura said yes."

"Congratulations!" Angela took both Jane and Maura into a bear crushing hug. They hadn't wanted to tell anyone yet but Maura was so excited when they left the lawyer's office that she had forgot to secure her beautiful engagement ring.

They left Angela with a huge smile on her face as they headed to the elevators. Jane leaned over and whispered in Maura's ear, "let's go upstairs and surprise the guys with our news."

"Really."

"Yes, really." Jane said as she pushed the button for the third floor and pulled Maura in for a hug. When the elevator doors opened, Jane pulled Maura into the elevator. As the doors closed Jane pushed Maura up against the wall and kissed her. The kiss continued until the elevator arrived on the third floor. Korsak, Frost and Cavanaugh were excited to hear their news. Frankie was out on a call, so they would have to wait until later to tell him. Jane was almost positive that her mother would spill the beans.

School started one week before Zoey's fifth birthday. She was so excited to be going to kindergarten. Jane couldn't believe how old her baby was getting. She was growing up so fast and Jane had told Maura when they first met that "Zoey was wicked smart." And she was. Maura was impressed with how well Zoey performed on her school entrance exams. Zoey easily could have been placed into second grade but after talking with Jane they decided to not advance her and just let her be a kid until such time as school would not be able to keep her in her age-appropriate classes.

Maura knew all too well the downside of skipping several grades like that and being the youngest in your class by multiple years. Tony had only skipped one grade so far and he seemed to be handling it well. It was becoming quite apparent that he would need to skip another grade soon.

Zoey had her dress all picked out for school and was dressed and ready to go before Jane and Maura woke up. At breakfast she wore an apron so that she wouldn't get her dress dirty. Tony was not as excited as Zoey. He was excited to see his friends but to him the first day of school was not anything special. He just wore a pair of shorts and a polo shirt. He placed a light jacket in his backpack in case it got cold later. He didn't care about fashion, he just made sure he looked nice and tried not to argue with his mother about his clothes.

When Tina picked Zoey up from school, she showed her the drawings she had completed and told her all about the new friends she had made. Tina knew she would have to hear the stories all over again when she told Jane and Maura when they got home from work.

That weekend right before the Rizzoli Family dinner they would be celebrating Zoey's fifth birthday. Zoey had invited a few of her new friends from school. The weather was nice so they went swimming for a little while and then after drying off they played games until it was time to cut the cake.

Zoey had a great time and after all of her little friends left, she asked Maura, "How soon before we have our adoption?"

"Right before Christmas. I don't know the exact date yet but our lawyer will let us know and then we will plan that party." Maura replied. She was glad that Zoey was so excited about the adoption. She had always wanted a little girl and now thanks to Jane she would have one.

Three months after Jane and Maura had visited with their lawyer, Tony stood in front of the mirror in his bedroom. He was trying to tie his tie. He was getting frustrated. Normally he had no problem tying his tie, and he didn't know why he was so nervous. Jane knocked on the door. "Tony, are you ready bud?"

"Almost, mama. I just need to tie my tie. Can you help me?"

"Of course, son, I would love to help you." Jane entered the room and noticed the redness on Tony's face. "Bud, what's the matter?"

"I … I don't know. … I am nervous, I guess."

"Why are you nervous Tony? We are already a family, today is just a ceremony to make you legally my son again. It doesn't mean that mommy loves you any less than she already does. It just means that legally I will be your mother also."

"I know mama. I guess I am just a little emotional. Ever since I first met you, I have loved you and felt that you were my mother and then when I found out that you were my birth mother, I was so happy but also sad. I was sad because I thought that mommy would no longer be my mommy and I loved her and didn't want to lose her. I understand now that I wasn't going to lose her but rather, I would gain you. I am just so happy."

Zoey had wanted Maura to take her shopping for a new dress for the ceremony. She loved fashionable clothes just like Maura but also liked laid back clothes. She was a mix between both Jane and Maura as far as clothes were concerned. Maura was more than happy to take her shopping. They made a day of it while Jane took Tony to get his tuxedo for the ceremony. Jane and Maura were pleased that both children had decided to dress up for the event. Jane purchased a new suit for herself and Maura bought herself a new dress with similar colors to Zoey's.

The ceremony was set for 9 AM and they planned a family lunch for after the ceremony. Only the four of them were present for the ceremony but Jane made sure that the ceremony was video tapped so the rest of the family could watch the ceremony later. Jane and Maura did not want the children to be overwhelmed if all of the family was present. Angela was disappointed but she understood. As long as she could watch the video of Tony officially becoming her grandson, she was happy.

The ceremony was quick as they just had to sign the forms and answer the judge's questions. The judge asked Tony, "Tony, are you sure that you would like Jane Rizzoli to adopt you and become your second parent?"

Tony didn't hesitate in responding, "Yes, your honor, I am sure." The judge asked Tony to sign on the line above his name.

The judge then turned to Jane and asked, "Jane Rizzoli, are you sure that you would like to adopt Anthony James Isles as your son?"

"Yes, judge." Jane replied. She was tearing up. This meant so much to her as she thought she would never see her son again and here he was standing beside her and signing adoption papers to legally become her son again.

"Miss Rizzoli, if you could sign right here." The judge informed her as he pointed to where she needed to sign. "Tony, it is my understanding that you would like to change your name?"

"Yes, your honor."

"What would you like your name to be?"

"Anthony James Rizzoli-Isles, your honor."

"That is quite a long name for such a young man."

"Yes, your honor, but my sister and I both want to have both of our mother's combined last names. They will be changing their names to Rizzoli-Isles after they get married in a few months."

"Interesting, well young man, if you could sign right here where I have printed your new name, we will make it official."

"Thank you, your honor." Tony commented as he signed acknowledging his new name.

"Zoey, could you please step forward." The judge asked as Tony stepped aside to let Zoey sign her paperwork.

Jane, Maura and Tony were standing right behind her. Zoey turned around and reached for Maura. Maura took Zoey's hand in hers and Zoey asked, "Mommy, can you stand with me?"

"Of course, I would be honored." Maura stepped forward and stood with Zoey, holding her hand as the judge smiled at her.

"Zoey, are you sure that you would like Maura Isles to adopt you and become your second parent?"

Zoey looked at Maura and then responded to the judge with a huge smile, "yes, I want Dr. Mo to be my mommy." The judge smiled he knew with Zoey's age that she probably wouldn't say Maura. Jane had warned him ahead of time that Zoey called Maura, Dr. Mo or mommy. She never called Maura by her first name. The judge was fine with her response.

"Can you sign your name right here?" The judge asked as he pointed to where she needed to sign. Zoey signed her name and then looked at the other paper and wanted to hurry up and sign it to change her name. "I understand that you would also like to change your name, what would you like for your name to be?"

"I would like to be a Rizzoli-Isles also."

"Okay, can you sign your name right here and we will change your name?"

"but judge, I have a question?"

The judge smiled as he asked, "What is your question?"

"Can you change my mommies last name to Rizzoli-Isles today? I don't want them to left out."

The judge looked at both the women as they looked at each other.

"Well, if they would like to get married right now. I can change their last names today. What do you think ladies? You can still have your wedding ceremony later. It seems as your children would like for you to also to become Rizzoli-Isles today."

"Your honor, can you give us a minute to discuss this?" Maura asked.

"Yes, I will talk with my clerk about filing this paperwork while you ladies chat. Is five minutes long enough to discuss the matter?"

"Yes, your honor, thank you." Maura replied as the judge stood and went to talk with his assistant.

Five minutes later, the judge came back to his seat with a folder and asked, "Ladies, have you come to a consensus on your children's request?"

"Yes, your honor we have." Jane replied. She looked at Maura and asked, "Is it possible to get married today?"

The judge smiled as he produced a marriage license. If you ladies would sign here and here." He pointed where each of them needed to sign. "My clerk will go file the paperwork and let's say fifteen minutes I can marry you." Tony and Zoey shouted their excitement, as they would all become Rizzoli-Isles today.

"Thank you, your honor." Maura said as she hugged her family. "I guess we are getting married today." She told her family during their group hug.

"Now let's continue with this adoption ceremony while we wait for my clerk to return. Tony and Zoey, you have both signed all the paperwork necessary for your adoption. Your adoptive parents have signed their paperwork. I would now like to announce that the Commonwealth of Massachusetts now recognizes you as officially adopted. Tony, your name will now legally be Anthony James Rizzoli-Isles with Maura Dorothea Isles and Jane Clementine Rizzoli as your parents." The judge passed Tony the certificate of adoption.

"Zoey, your name will now be Zoey Arianna Rizzoli-Isles with Jane Clementine Rizzoli and Maura Dorothea Isles as your parents." The judge announced as he passed Zoey her certificate of adoption. "Now it is picture time. They spent the next few minutes taking pictures.

"Now," the judge said as he presented the filed marriage license, "shall we do this?" Everyone smiled as he continued, "I have a suggestion, well actually several options. The first option is that we just sign the paperwork and you are married. The second option is that we have a little ceremony. With both options you can continue to have the wedding that you have been planning for March."

Jane and Maura looked at each other and Maura said, "We have the option of just signing the paperwork and it will be official without a ceremony?"

"Yes, I have done that many times for various reasons. The two of you are already planning a wedding and have already set the wheels in motion. By just signing the paperwork as the children just did, you would be legally married and I would be able to change your last names. We don't have to do this. You can pay to have your names legally changed but this way, you are only paying for the license and for your wedding in March you wouldn't have to do the license and such all over again."

Maura smiled and turned to Jane, "Let's sign the papers and have the ceremony in March like we planned. This way all of us will become Rizzoli-Isles today."

Jane turned to the judge, "Okay, you heard the lady. Let's sign the paperwork."

The judge turned the paperwork to Maura and showed her where to sign. Before Maura could sign Jane told her, "Maur, I know we are doing this for the children but I would marry you any day and anywhere, I love you."

"I love you Jane and I also would marry you any day and anywhere." Jane kissed Maura passionately until the judge interrupted.

"Ladies, can we sign the paperwork now?" They all laughed and then Maura signed the paperwork and then she passed the paperwork to Jane who signed and turned the paperwork back to the judge. "Well, congratulations, Mrs. and Mrs. Rizzoli-Isles, I now pronounce you wife and wife. You may seal this union with a kiss. A small one." They broke out in laughter again as the judge handed his clerk the signed marriage certificate. She immediately took the paperwork so that she could have it filed with the court.

Jane and Maura kissed again and then pulled the children in for a hug. They would keep their marriage a secret until their ceremony. Well, they would have to meet with the lawyer and complete all of the paperwork with him, but everyone else wouldn't be told. Well Jane might have to tell Candace in HR and Lt. Cavanaugh, which means she would have to share with Frost and Korsak. She would have to discuss all of this with her wife. She loved the sound of that, and she loved that she was now married. She wouldn't have to stress about the ceremony in March, because they were already married, so she knew that Maura would show up and marry her.

Prior to going to the courthouse, Jane and Maura had talked about having a small wedding, just close friends and family. They discussed who they wanted to serve as their people, Jane wanted Arianna to be her best woman and Maura wanted Susie to be her bridesmaid. "Jane, why did you say best woman, you always said there is no guy in this relationship?"

"I know, Maur, it is just, we didn't discuss what we would wear, or rather what I would wear. You know I don't really care for dresses. I mean I love dresses on you, but not so much on me. Would you mind if I wear a tuxedo?"

"Of course not, Jane. You look so beautiful in a tux."

"I know you said that before. I want you to have that empire gown you want with the 20-foot train. I want our wedding to be special for you."

"And I want it to be just as special for you."

"As long as you walk down the aisle to meet me it will be, I promise. All I want is to marry you. I don't care about the rest of the people there as long as you, me and the children are there, it will be special."

When Jane called Arianna she asked, "Ari, could you please be my best woman at mine and Maura's upcoming wedding?"

Arianna immediately replied, "I would love to be your best woman, but I really think Maura has that job already." They both laughed.

"Yes, she is the best woman for me. She completes my family. It has always been my desire to be married and have children. I never really thought it was possible after Casey and I first broke up and then well we got back together and he was killed. So, I gave up on that dream, but then I met Maura. I had never been interested in women but there is just something special about her."

"That there is, the entire family loves her. We all think she is perfect for you. Are your children going to participate in the wedding?" Arianna asked, knowing that Jane would probably use Tony and Zoey in the ceremony.

"Yes, Tony is going to be the ring bearer and Zoey will be the flower girl, they are so excited."

"You haven't told me when the date is, I need to make my flight reservations."

"It will be in three months, on March 13th at 11 AM in our backyard."

"Oh, wow when you said small, you really meant it."

"Yes, just close friends and family."

Maura entered the room and she greeted Arianna They talked for a few more minutes and the call ended. Maura called Susie then to check in with her. Susie answered her phone, "Hello!"

"Hello Susie, this is Maura."

Jane popped on the screen and said, "and Jane." Maura just turned and smiled at Jane.

"Well, hello ladies."

Jane quickly said, "Hi Susie, Maura has a question she would like to ask you."

"Really."

"Yes, Susie would you do me the honor of being my maid of honor for our wedding?"

"Oh Maura, I would be honored. When is the wedding?"

Maura simply repeats what Jane had just told Arianna, "It will be in three months, on March 13th at 11 AM in our backyard."

When they were off the phone with Susie, they reviewed the rest of their plans. The invitations were finished already, they were a beautiful pearl white with raised dark gray lettering that read:

Maura Isles and Jane Rizzoli

request your presence

as they join in marriage

on March 13, 2011 at 11 AM

in the backyard of their home

Jane and Maura would be getting married, they both decided they did not want a bachelorette party. They didn't need that and their family and friends didn't need to putting another party together. Arianna and Susie were disappointed as that was one of the fun tasks of being maid of honor and best woman.

Susie, Angela and Arianna (via phone when possible) set out and helped Maura and Jane with the rest of the preparations. Arianna flew in a week before the wedding and she and Susie managed to take Jane and Maura out and celebrate. It wasn't quite a bachelorette party but they went to a strip club and managed to drink quite a bit. They had a fun time and the four of them enjoyed themselves.

Jane had let it slip that she and Maura were already married and Arianna just laughed. "Really, Jane, three months before your wedding you went to the courthouse and got married?"

"Ari, it wasn't like that. The children …"

Arianna didn't let her finish that sentence, "Don't go blaming your children…"

"No really, Arianna, Tony and Zoey wanted us all to become Rizzoli-Isles that same day and Zoey asked the judge and he made it happen" Maura explained. "We didn't have a ceremony, we just signed the paperwork knowing that we would be having a beautiful ceremony with our family and friends in March."

"So, you mean to tell me that nobody knows that the two of you are married." Arianna exclaimed. Susie was just sitting there not believing what she was hearing. She had no idea that her boss and Jane had gotten married. They hadn't acted any different at work, so she had no clue.

Jane spoke up, "Well, a few people know, because we had to tell them. Candace in HR had to file all the appropriate paperwork. My immediate coworkers and supervisor and the Governor. Other than that no else besides the judge and his assistant, well and the file clerk who filed the paperwork at the court know."

"How come I didn't get to know if Detectives Frost and Korsak got to know?" Susie asked.

"Susie, I wanted to tell you, however, Jane's job is quite different and if anything happened in the field to her, Frost and Korsak needed to know that I am her wife and they would have to contact me without delay." Maura had moved to take Susie into a hug.

Susie smiled and told Maura, "I understand and I am not upset with you. I am your maid of honor so I am thankful for that."

Arianna was still in shock, "Well, I could have been told. I don't even live here so nobody would have found out from me."

"True, please forgive me Arianna. Please don't tell my mother. She will go ballistic." Jane replied.

"Oh my God, I could see Aunt Angela's face now, if she were to find out days before the wedding that you are married already. So, knowing Maura, you must be wearing your wedding ring. Where is it?" Arianna asked.

"It is right here." Maura stated as she pulled out the necklace from around her neck.

"Oh, that is beautiful. Jane, do you have one on you as well?"

"Yes, I do." Jane also pulled out a necklace from around her neck.

Before they knew it, it was March 13th, their wedding day. Angela has whisked the children away the night before. Susie spent the night with Maura at the house and Arianna had Jane with her at the Honeymoon suite of a local hotel. Even though Susie and Arianna both knew that Jane and Maura were married already they had to keep up the front and they had to spend the night away from each other.

Jane and Maura had vowed never to be apart if they could help it so Jane didn't leave the house until after 1 AM. That way they didn't spent the night apart, just a few hours. Susie and Arianna just shook their heads. They knew they would have trouble keeping Jane and Maura apart from each other.

Neither Jane or Maura got that much sleep as they wanted to be together but they each managed a few hours. Arianna fell asleep almost as soon as they got back to the hotel. Susie fell asleep about an hour after leaving Maura and departing upstairs to the guest room.

Arianna had to enter the house first the next morning, or rather later that morning. It seemed as though they had just left not that long ago. She had to make sure that Jane didn't see Maura. Jane and Arianna had arrived at 10:45 as arranged. Susie greeted them and remarked about how stunning Jane looked. "Jane, you look absolutely stunning."

"Thank you, Chang, how is my bride?"

"She is wonderful, she can't wait for 11 AM to arrive."

"Me either, please tell her that I love her and that I am here and I am waiting to see her."

"I will, I better get back up to her and let her know that you are here, she was still a little nervous, every though …"

"Okay, I will see you in about fifteen minutes."

Jane and Arianna walked out to the backyard. "Wow, you mother and brothers have outdone themselves."

"It is beautiful, ma, thank you." Jane said as she approached her mother.

"Janie, you look absolutely beautiful. I love the tuxedo and the lilies in your blazer pocket. Maura is going to love that touch."

"Ya, she loves lilies. I love her so much ma."

"I know baby, she loves you just as much."

"I am going to go to my place and get ready for my bride."

"Okay, baby." Angela said as Jane walked down the aisle. Angela let her go, she knew that Jane had things on her mind, like getting married. Originally Jane didn't want anyone to escort her down the aisle and then she changed her mind. She walked back up the aisle and then went to her designated spot.

At 11 AM on the dot, Frankie escorted his sister down the aisle and then took a seat next to his mother who Frost had escorted down the aisle. A few minutes later Korsak escorted Maura down the aisle and then stepped in so he could officiate the wedding. Maura was wearing the white gown with the empire waist and the 20-foot train that she had dreamed about. Korsak told her, "Maura, dear, you look absolutely gorgeous in your dress."

"Thank you, Vincent." Maura was the only one that could call him, Vincent. She occasionally called him, Vince, which he preferred, but she could call him Vincent if she wanted to. He loved both her and Jane as if they were his daughters.

She and Susie had spent over thirty minutes working on her hair and makeup. Angela peeked in to make sure that she had something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue, which of course Maura did but Angela added to it. She leant Maura a small beautiful broach that had been her grandmother's. She was going to pass it down to Zoey one day but wanted Maura to where it when she married Jane and officially became a Rizzoli.

Angela just loved Maura's dress, "You look so beautiful." Angela said as tears fell, she tried hard not to let the tears fall but she couldn't help herself. Maura was gorgeous and she was so happy that she was marrying Jane. They made a beautiful couple and she was just so happy for her girls. Susie and Maura smiled at Angela and tried not to cry themselves as they didn't want to ruin their makeup.

Angela left after a time as she had to go check on Jane. Angela couldn't believe how striking Jane looked in her tuxedo. She knew her daughter was gorgeous, but in her tuxedo, she took gorgeous to a new level.

Arianna had helped Jane style her hair. Jane wanted to wear her hair down, so they tamed the curls as much as they could. Jane wanted some curls left alone as she knew that Maura loved her curls. They finally decided to leave a few curls in the front as they naturally would fall around Jane's face. Arianna straightened as much of the curls in the back as she could. She and Jane looked so much alike that she decided to pull her hair back so that Jane would have her own look for her wedding, rather than looking like her twin.

When Jane saw Maura, a small tear ran down her face, she looked so beautiful. Jane was impatiently waiting for Maura to walk down the aisle, but first the children had to walk down the aisle. Zoey looked so beautiful in her short white dress with little purple and pink flowers adorning it. She slowly walked down the aisle throwing out flower pedals as she walked.

Tony was right behind Zoey with the rings on a light purple pillow. Tony was in a tuxedo with light pink and purple flowers in his tuxedo pocket. Jane smiled at the children as they walked down the aisle. She could still see Maura standing with Korsak at the top of the aisle. Maura had wanted to see the children walk down the aisle.

Jane leaned down and kissed Zoey and then Tony before they went and sat by Angela. The wedding march started to play and everyone stood so that they could watch Maura walk down the aisle. Jane couldn't stand still. She continuously transferred her weight from foot to foot. She was anxious she wanted Maura to hurry up and get to her.

It seemed like forever but when Maura reached her, she couldn't help but reaching out and pulling Maura into a tender kiss. Arianna and Susie once again shook their heads. They didn't know what to do with these two. They didn't seem to follow the rules. Jane knew she wasn't supposed to kiss Maura until Korsak told her to.

When the kiss broke and Jane saw the look on Susie's face and then turned to look at Arianna, she simply said, "What? I wanted to kiss my wife." They laughed and Jane and Maura turned to face Korsak who immediately began the ceremony.

"Please be seated," he paused as everyone took their seats. A moment later he continued, "Friends and family we are gathered here today to witness Jane and Maura enter into holy matrimony. If there is anyone present who objects to this union please speak now or forever hold your piece." Korsak looked around and not seeing any objections he continued.

"Jane and Maura have written their own vows and we will hear them now, ladies."

Jane and Maura had discussed who would say their vows first and it was decided that Jane would go first. "Maura, I have loved you since I first met you. you are not like any person I have met before. You are loving, kind, smart, beautiful and just downright honest. We became friends rather fast and I just loved spending time with you. My day was not complete if I didn't see you. I wanted to start my days and end my evenings with you. I quickly realized that I was falling in love with you. it scared me because I had never fallen in love with a woman before. Actually, to be totally honest I don't think I had fallen in love before I met you. I want to spend all of my mornings, evenings and inbetweens with you. I want to spend every waking minute with you. If I had my way, I wouldn't have to work and we could just go away somewhere with the children and just be." Jane paused so she could take breath as she had been speaking so fast.

"I just want to say here in front of our closest family and friends that I love you with all my heart and I vow to continue to love and cherish you all the days I have left on this earth."

Jane leaned in and kissed Maura. Maura kissed her back. Before the kissing could get out of hand again, Korsak interrupted them. "Maura, may we hear from you now?"

Maura smiled at Vince and said, "Yes Vince, sorry. Jane, you are the light in what previously was my dark world. I am a brighter person with you in my life. I feel so alive. I never knew the depths to which I could love and cherish another human being. I love you so much, Detective Jane Rizzoli. I also want to spend all of time with you. My heart aches when we are not together. You and the children are a dream come true for me. I have always wanted a family with a loving spouse and several children. We have that together and I love it. I wanted a son and a daughter and because of you I have that. Thank you, Jane Rizzoli for loving me and for letting me love you in return. Today we have the perfect little family and I can't wait for Vince to announce that you are my wife. I vow to love, honor and cherish you, Jane Rizzoli for as long as I breathe."

"Tony, do you have the rings?"

"Yes sir, I do." Tony stated as he and Zoey walked forward with the rings. Tony didn't know that Zoey would be walking with him but he didn't mind. As he suspected, when he grabbed a ring to present to Jane, Zoey grabbed the other ring and presented it to Maura. They then stepped back together and took their seats.

Korsak took their hands that were holding the rings and said, "I bless these rings that they may be a symbol of your undying love for one another." He released their hands and then continued.

"Jane do you solemnly swear that you will love and cherish Maura for all the days of your life?"

"I do." Jane replied.

"Please place your ring on Maura's ring finger." Jane did as she was told.

Korsak then looked to Maura and asked, "Maura do you solemnly swear that you will love and cherish Jane for all the days of your life?"

"I do." Maura replied.

"Please place your ring on Jane's ring finger." Maura did as she was told.

"By the power vested in me by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, I know pronounce you married, you may kiss each other."

Jane wasted no time in pulling Maura into her and kissing her. Jane leaned so far into Maura that they leaned down and Jane held Maura there and kissed her passionately before pulling them back up into a standing position. Korsak then said, "I present officially for the first time Mrs. and Dr. Rizzoli-Isles." Everyone clapped as Jane and Maura walked up the aisle and into the house. Arianna had to chase after them to make sure they didn't disappear. She knew her cousin and knew that Jane would want to sweep Maura away and begin their celebration.

"Oh, Jane, you can't take Maura away yet. We have pictures and a luncheon reception before you can sneak away with your wife." Arianna stated as she quickly caught up to Jane and Maura. Jane looked disappointed as they turned around and went back outside.

For the next three hours they enjoyed, as much as they could, taking pictures and eating lunch with their family and friends. Maura enjoyed the afternoon more once she was able to dance with Jane and just hold her in her arms. She enjoyed dancing as a family with Tony and Zoey also. They both smiled so much. They hated saying goodbye to the children when they went to their hotel room for the night. They were flying to Italy the next day to spend two weeks touring Italy and Greece for their honeymoon.

On their five-year wedding anniversary, Zoey asked her mothers, "How did you meet?"

Maura replied first, "We met at a crime scene after I was hired as the Chief, Medical Examiner."

Later that evening after the children had gone to bed, Jane told Maura, "No, dear, we did not meet the first time at a crime scene. We met first while I was in Vice. We met at the Division One Café. I was buying a donut and some coffee and Stanley was hassling me. I was undercover as 'Tiffany.' Don't you remember?"

Maura rose and smiled at Jane, "Dance with me!" Maura took out her phone and played 'Lover' by Taylor Swift.

"Of course," Jane said as she rose and took Maura in her arms. The swayed together slow and sensuous and when the song ended, they kissed and Jane said, "Forever and ever, don't you remember?" Maura remembered, she just wanted to continue making a lifetime of new memories with her favorite person in the world.
