And here we are with Chapter 05. This chapter was a bit tricky to write in my opinion so I hope that it comes out good. I hope you are all excited for what's to come in this chapter and in more to come.

Now let's get right to it.

Chapter 05: A New Style of Dueling! Dimension Duel!

United World – Nile River

Yuya and Atem walked up to a boat that was tied to a makeshift dock. "In order to reach the village of Kul Elna, we'll have to travel along the Nile River."

"It's very beautiful, this river." Yuya was amazed by the river. "Hey, can we get a picture? I want to send my family a postcard."

"That sounds good. Mahad, can you get a picture of us."

"Of course, my Pharoah." A man with a similar appearance to the Black Magician bowed.

"Prince!" A young woman with an appearance similar to Black Magician Girl waved from the boat. "Everything is ready for departure!"

"Oh, thanks Mana." Atem smiled at the girl.

"Oh, are you taking a picture? Can I be in it?" Mana raced down to the others.

"Mana! He is not the prince anymore! He is the Pharaoh." Mahad scolded.

"Come on, Master. We're outside the palace. You can talk to him normally." Mana argued.

"Mahad, Mana and I grew up together." Atem explained to Yuya. "Mahad taught us how to use magic and other skills to survive."

"A trio of friends." Yuya felt a nostalgic feeling as he remembered the early days with Yuzu and Gongenzaka.

"Can we please just hurry up with the picture." Mahad was getting restless.

"Sorry, I'm ready." Yuya put on his camera face.

"Prince, why are you so far away?" Mana noticed Atem was further from her and Yuya. "Come on, get closer! Like this!" Mana put Atem's hand on her shoulder while she put her arm around his waist.

"R-Right…" Atem turned red while having a shy smile, something that Yuya noticed.

"Alright, 3, 2, 1…" Mahad took the picture of Yuya, Atem and Mana.

Pharoah's Ship – Pharoah's Quarters

Night had fallen as the ship continued to travel along the Nile River. Yuya was sitting on his bed looking over at the recent pictures that his wives and friends sent him.

"You three have grown stronger. I'm proud of you." Yuya saw that Futoshi, Ayu and Tatsuya were the top 3 Duelists in the recent Maiami Championship.

"Gongenzaka has really taken being the master of the Gongenzaka Dojo seriously." He saw a picture of Gongenzaka posing with his students.

"I'll have to catch up to you when all this is over." He saw Sawatari won another Duel Tournament.

"Glad to see you're taking it easy now." A picture of Reiji and Reira relaxing at the beach appeared.

"Always so flashy." Yuya commented Dennis putting on a show for everybody.

"Now that's a nice family picture." Yuya saw his mom with his stepdad, sister and brother.

"Poor Shun, he always had bad luck with Yumiko." Shun had a disgusted look and had a shade of green as he held Yumiko away, most likely because she soiled her diaper with was in the background giving a sheepish smile.

"Just like his mother and uncle, Yukio's gonna love riding a D-Wheel." Crow was pretending that Yukio was an airplane, making him laugh while Rin was clapping her hands.

"Geez, Principal, how are your eyes not dry by now?" Shuzo was crying waterfall tears as Yuka gave him a flower crown while Yuzu used an umbrella to keep herself dry.

"Look out world, Yusaku the kid is in town with his noble crocodile, Karen and sidekick Ruby." Yuya looked at Yusaku riding Karen with Ruby on his shoulder. He was wearing Jim's hat as said man, Johan, O'Brien and Serena posed with them.

Atem walked into his quarters. "I spoke with the crew; we'll be at Kul Elna by morning." Atem sat on the bed across from Yuya. "From there we travel by horse."

"So, what can you tell me about this Kul Elna?" Yuya asked.

"It's not an ordinary village." Atem had a grim look on his face. "It's the home of the most despicable people in the world. Thieves, Murderers, Rapists…at least one resident in that village has done a crime."

"So, should we expect a fight?" Yuya asked.

"No, that village has long since been abandoned during the prime years of my father's reign as Pharaoh." Atem confirmed. "But I think I have a good idea of the reason behind Genesis's appearance in that village? It's this." Atem held up his Millenium Puzzle.

"The Millennium Items?" Yuya questioned.

"Yes, my father told me that the Millennium Items were created in the village of Kul Elna, that thieves were using them to take over smaller villages in an attempt to wage war against us. Fortunately, we were able to steal them and use their power for the benefit of everyone." Atem explained.

"Thieves having their stuff stolen, how ironic." Yuya joked.

"But while each Millennium Item has a unique power that only it can use, they all have the same properties, to create a Dark Game." Atem explained.

"I get ya. Genesis might be planning to use the Dark Games for whatever she's planning." Yuya said.

"We can only assume. Once we reach Kul Elna and reach the Shrine of the Underworld, we'll learn more about her motives." Atem said.

"Sooner we know what she's planning, the sooner I can move on from this." Yuya laid on his back.

"May I see them?" Atem asked. "Your children?"

"Sure." Yuya tossed his Duel Disk and Atem looked at the pictures.

"They all look like they have potential to be great Duelists." Atem smiled at the pictures.

"But if they don't want to be Duelists, that's fine. As long as their happy, I'll be happy." Yuya admitted. "Speaking of happiness, you seem really happy with Mana during the picture."

"U-Uh…well…" Atem blushed. "She's a dear friend to me."

"Yeah, friend." Yuya chuckled. "You can't hide it from me, Atem, you have feelings for her."

"Nothing gets past you." Atem sighed. "Mana is an incredible woman and she's one of the few people that can make me smile. And I honestly can see myself spending the rest of my life with her."

"So, what's stopping you?" Yuya asked.

"I'm the Pharaoh, Yuya. My duty is to the people of my kingdom. And Mana is still in training to be a wizard. We'll both be too busy to spend time with each other, and well, you see how distance can change people."

"True, but the change can make your feelings for each other stronger. But that can only work if you're being honest with her with how you feel. You got to make the first move, if you don't make the first move, then nothing will change." Yuya said.

"I'll sleep on it." Atem went to bed. "We have a big day ahead of us."

"Alright…but let me be the best man at your wedding." Yuya smiled, which was rewarded with a pillow thrown at his face.

Link VRAINS

"We got 20 on red! Roulette Spin!" Jonouchi let the marble spin around on the roulette before it landed on black. "Oh, too bad. Black."

"Damn it! How could I lose everything!" A man in a robot costume complained.

"Here's your consolation prize." Jonouchi gave the man a common card.

"Heh, at least it's a card I don't have." The man walked away.

Jonouchi reached up to his ear piece. "Hey, just a status update. I got nothing over at the roulette."

"Same here at Black Jack." Rua muttered as he was dealing cards to players.

Asuka was serving drinks while dressed in a waitress costume, with some men ogling at her. "The bar is clear, no sign of any Knights of Hanoi." Asuka spoke.

"Are you sure they were supposed to be here, Blue Maiden?" Rio asked as she was sitting at a table eating some food.

"My brother pinpointed their location here. Just be on the lookout of anyone suspicious." Blue Maiden said before she took a picture with some of her fans.

"You're gonna be more specific. There's a lot of weirdos here." Rua questioned the appearance of some of the Avatars in Link VRAINS.

"Just spot anything or anyone that looks out of place. We're all in a weird place, look for someone normal." Blue Maiden advised.

"Normal, huh?" Jonouchi looked around before he noticed someone staring at him. He was tanned, gold eyes, dark teal hair with spikes. His outfit wasn't futuristic or anything special, it looked like old fashioned Egyptian. The man smiled at Jonouchi before walking away.

"I think I got someone, everyone on my location now." Jonouchi said as he followed the man.

The man went up the escalator with Jonouchi following him a few steps behind him. "On the escalator heading to the second floor. Man, spiky teal hair, green trench coat, lavender shirt, tan pants." Jonouchi described the man.

"I see him." Blue Maiden saw the man reach the second floor. "Surround him, Guardians. Let's get him to talk."

The man kept walking through the crowds before arriving to an empty plaza where the other Guardians started to surround him.

"Brother, do you have an ID on this man?" Blue Maiden muttered.

"Checking…there's no ID on this man. He might be Hanoi. Be careful." Akira responded from his office.

"Who are you?" Jonouchi crossed his arms.

"Katsuya Jonouchi. A Pro Duelist and master of the Red-Eyes archetype. Primary Summoning Method: Fusion." The man spoke, making Jonouchi wary.

"Asuka Tenjoin. Principal of Central Academia and wielder of the Gentle Darkness, the reincarnation of the Supreme Queen. Primary Summoning Method: Ritual." Asuka narrowed her eyes.

"Rua Godwin. A rising star of Neo Domino City. Possess the Burning Soul ability that allows him to Double Tune. Primary Summoning Method: Synchro." Rua prepared himself for a fight.

"Rio Kamishiro. Originally known as the Queen of the Barian World, Merag. Wielder of the power of Chaos. Primary Summoning Method: Xyz." Rio unleashed her frozen aura.

"And Blue Maiden. Known as Aoi Zaizen, the younger sister of SOL Technologies' Akira Zaizen. Uses a unique archetype known as the Cyberse. Successor to the previous Captain of the Guardians, Yuya Ryuga. Primary Summoning Method: Link Summon."

"Who are you?" Blue Maiden approached the man.

"We have waited a long time for this." The man pulled out a box from his pocket.

"Who's we?" Rua glared.

"My, my. You sure have grown." A voice sent a chill down Rua's spine. "That will make defeating you much more satisfying."

Rua looked behind him as sweat went down his face. "You…" Appearing from behind Rua was someone that he hoped he would never see again. His appearance also surprised Jonouchi, Asuka and Rio.

"It's been a while…Rua." Jean-Michel Roget smiled.

"Roget." Rua glared at the man in hatred. "How? We saw you disappear."

"Disappearance doesn't mean death. Though I was close to it." Roget admitted. "Like my fellow friend, Diva, I have a score to settle with you Guardians. Same as my fellow friends."

"Who would want to be friends with a scumbag like you." Rio mocked.

"A friend who knows the pain of defeat." Rio's eyes widened when she heard a new voice, a new familiar voice. "We will take back what is rightfully ours." Appearing beside Roget was Don Thousand.

"Don Thousand…" Rio glared.

"The time has come for the Gentle Darkness to fall to the Light of Destruction." Appearing from behind Asuka was Saio. "Our battle was destined to be, Supreme Queen Asuka."

"Saio…we've been looking for you. You're the last person that we have to capture for supporting the Dimensional War." Asuka had spent the last years trying to track Saio down, but nothing ever came up.

"Brother, there's more targets." Blue Maiden said.

"There's still more of us, we can take them on." Aqua observed.

"Then we shall even the odds." Blue Maiden and Aqua turned around and they saw a young boy with purple hair wearing white, purple and yellow clothes and on his Duel Disk was an Ignis.

"Lightning!" Aqua's eyes widened.

"Like I thought, all of us are imperfect." Lightning spoke.

"Imperfect? What are you talking about? We are AI who can think for ourselves. That was the whole point of our creation." Aqua pointed out.

"To our creator perhaps. But since then, I ran simulations on how our relationship with the humans would impact our existence. Out of the five of us, only four were able to have a future with humans, but I…my existence would cause the end of both the Ignis and humans!" Lightning revealed.

"But that was a simulation, it's not set in stone! You can still—" Aqua tried to argue.

"Idiot!" Lightning shouted at her. "We may have free will but we are still AI. Data is everything to us and data cannot be changed by our will! That's why I won't fight with my simulations and eradicate all of humanity and I'll kill any AI that goes against me!"

"Lightning…" Aqua had a sad look on her face.

"Aqua…" Blue Maiden looked at her partner. "Light Ignis! I won't let you hurt Aqua! She is a dear friend to me! It doesn't matter if you're an AI, I'll defeat you!"

"A human defeating an AI? What a joke. But as much as I want to be the snot out of you, I have other matters to attend to. But rest assured when we Duel, it will be your last." Lightning gave a hateful glare to Blue Maiden.

"That's enough. We're just here to introduce ourselves." Diva called out. "Moreover, Lightning, you cannot deny the will of Genesis Omega Dragon."

"Genesis?! You're in league with Genesis!" Jonouchi called out.

"That's right." Roget said. "It was thanks to Genesis that we were all able to stand before you today."

"We were assembled for one purpose." Saio smiled.

"The annihilation of the Guardians." Don Thousand declared.

"And the birth of the Paradise of Genesis." Diva's box glowed. The light reached the Guardians and they all screamed as they disappeared.

Plana

The light died down as the Guardians were now on a floating island. "Huh? Where is this?" Rua looked around.

"We're still in our Link VRAINS clothes." Rio noticed she was still in her Guardian Uniform.

"Welcome to the Plana!" Diva appeared before them. "The place where Genesis's paradise will come to fruition."

"Diva…" Jonouchi glared. "What beef do you have with me. I don't even know you!"

"Oh, Jonouchi. After all this time, you've never realized the truth." Diva said.

"The truth? What are you talking about?" Jonouchi was getting angrier.

"The United World is represented by your leader, Yuya Ryuga. That world was divided into four dimensions, Standard, Fusion, Synchro and Xyz." Diva explained. "Your friends, Asuka, Rua and Rio were born in the latter three dimensions and they use the summon methods that represent their dimension."

"But the Standard Dimension evolved into Pendulum and then, since Den City is a sister city to Maiami City, Standard evolved again into Link. The representative to Link Summon is Aoi Zaizen. But what about you, Jonouchi? There're technically five worlds but six Guardians."

"So, I don't represent a dimension, it doesn't matter to me!" Jonouchi declared. "I'm standing here and now."

"Then tell me Jonouchi, what is your earliest memory?" Diva asked.

"My earliest memory?" Jonouchi crossed his arms and looked down. "That's being with my little sister spending time at the beach."

"Where was that beach?" Diva asked.

"It was…" Jonouchi closed his eyes. "Domino Beach, of Domino City. That's where I was born. And I attended Domino High School. That's where I graduated. And then…and then…" Jonouchi trailed off as his expression changed. "Then I was in Maiami City."

"You flew to Maiami City?" Blue Maiden asked.

"I graduated high school…then went to a tournament…and…and…"

"Let me show you, the truth!" Diva's box glowed, blinding everyone again.

Domino City

Jonouchi, Asuka, Rua, Rio and Blue Maiden were hovering over a city that was being disintegrated. "Wh-What is this?!" Jonouchi was confused.

People in the city were being disintegrated and disappeared. "Pathetic people of Domino City! It's time to for you all to accept your punishment and be erased from this pathetic world!" Diva declared as he looked down at the screaming citizens.

"You bastard!" Diva was tackled by Jonouchi. "My sister…my friends…for your stupid world! I won't forgive you!" Jonouchi punched Diva in the face.

"Get off me, you inferior human! You won't get in the way of destiny!" Diva took out his cube.

"Screw destiny!" Jonouchi took Diva's cube and he smashed it.

"No, you idiot!" Diva cried. The disintegration stopped and some people were returning, but the area where the cube was destroyed started to disintegrate Jonouchi and Diva's bodies. "How dare you?!"

"My body." Jonouchi fell to the floor as his legs disappeared. "Shizuka…I'm sorry…I won't make it…to your birthday…" Jonouchi disappeared into light, leaving a small gift behind.

"Damn you!" Diva looked at the gift. "Damn you, Katsuya Jonouchi!" Diva disappeared.

Plana

The Guardians blinked and they saw themselves back on the Plana. "I…" Jonouchi was in shock. "I…was from a different world entirely."

"That's right. Because you destroyed the cube, our memories of our past disappeared and we both reappeared in different areas of the Standard Dimension. It was only when I found the shattered pieces of my cube did my memories regain."

"I couldn't forgive you for denying me my destiny, and intrigued by the idea of a paradise, Genesis approached me and reconstructed my cube." Diva put the cube away.

"For now, have fun with my toy." Diva disappeared.

"Hey, wait!" Jonouchi dashed towards him, only for a new person to appear in front of him. He was a tanned man with spiky gray hair wearing a long purple cape with a gold chain, and the black sleeveless tank top and beige pants. He also had golden earrings, neckwear, armbands and bracelets.

"Darkness…darkness comes for you!" The man had a maniacal look on his face. He had an old-fashioned Duel Disk and activated it.

"Damn it!" Jonouchi activated his Duel Disk.

"Duel!" Jonouchi and the man declared.

Some screens then appeared in front of Jonouchi and the other Guardians. "What's this?" Rua looked at the screen.

"Huh? I can summon high level monsters without releasing?" Jonouchi read the text.

"Think of it as a handicap for a weakling like you." Yami Marik chuckled. "I'm going first! I Dimension Summon Gil Garth (ATK: 1800, LV: 4)!" Yami Marik roared as he was surrounded by dark aura and his monster appeared.

"Dimension Summon?" Jonouchi questioned.

"I set one card and end my turn!" Yami Marik finished his turn.

Jonouchi LP: 8000, Hand: 5

"My turn! Draw!" Jonouchi drew his card. "Dimension Summoning, is that the summoning that lets me summon high level monsters without releasing? In that case, I'll end this quickly and swiftly!"

"I Dimension Summon Saint Knight Ishzark (ATK: 2300, LV: 6)!" Jonouchi played his card and roared as he was surrounded by green aura as his monster appeared.

"Battle! Saint Knight Ishzark, attack Gil Garth!" Ishzark charged in with his sword and cut down Gil Garth. Yami Marik grunted but he still smiled.

Yami Marik LP: 8000→6200

"Huh? He took more damage?" Jonouchi was confused. "Not that I'm complaining, but he should've only taken 500 points of damage."

"Allow me to enlighten you. Monsters that are Dimension Summoned will prevent neither player from receiving battle damage, however, the controller of the monster that was destroyed via Dimension Summon will take damage equal to their Attack or Defense Points when they are destroyed, depending on their battle position." Yami Marik revealed.

"Which means if Ishzark is destroyed, I'll take his 2300 Attack Points as damage." Jonouchi thought. "Ishzark's effect activates! When it destroys a monster in battle, that monster is banished! I set one card and end my turn!"

"My turn! Draw!" Yami Marik drew his card. "I Dimension Summon again!" Yami Marik roared once more and a new monster appeared. "Hell Poet Hellpoemer (ATK: 2000, LV: 5)!"

"He Dimension Summoned again." Asuka commented.

"But it's weaker than Ishzark." Blue Maiden pointed out.

"Next, I activate the Equip Magic: Black Pendant! This increases Hellpoemer's Attack Points by 500!" Hellpoemer gained more power.

Hellpoemer (ATK: 2000→2500)

"Battle! Hellpoemer, attack Saint Knight Ishzark!" Hellpoemer unleashed a blast of darkness.

"I won't let you! I activate my Trap Card: Devil's Dice! This card reduces your monster's Attack Points depending on the number rolled on the die!" Jonouchi used his set card.

"Counter Trap: Trap Jammer! When my opponent activates a Trap Card during the Battle Phase, I can negate its activation and destroy it!" Yami Marik destroyed Jonouchi's card and Hellpoemer's attack destroyed Saint Knight Ishzark. "Now take damage equal to your monster's Attack Points!"

Jonouchi cried in pain as he was blown off his feet and he hit the ground hard.

"I set one card and end my turn!" Yami Marik his turn.

Yami Marik LP: 6200, Hand: 1
Jonouchi LP: 5700, Hand: 4

"Damn it…" Jonouchi grunted as he got to his feet. "Dimension Summon…it's very helpful to turn the tables, but it can also blow up right in your face. Yet, this guy isn't hesitating using it at all."

"My turn! Draw!" Jonouchi drew his card. "I summon Black Dragon's Chick (ATK: 800, LV: 1)!" Jonouchi summoned a small chick. "Next, I activate Black Dragon's Chick's Monster Effect! By sending this card from my field to the Graveyard, I can Special Summon one Red-Eyes Black Dragon from my hand! Come! Red-Eyes (ATK: 2400, LV: 7)!" Jonouchi summoned his ace monster.

"Red-Eyes Black Dragon, but he doesn't have enough Attack Points as Hellpoemer!" Yami Marik pointed out.

"There are other ways to win! From my hand, I activate the Magic Card: Black Flame Blast! This card inflicts damage to the opponent equal to Red-Eyes's Attack Points in exchange for him not attack this turn! Go! Red-Eyes Black Flame Blast!" Red-Eyes fired its attack on Yami Marik.

"Trap Card: Damage Turned Treasure!" Yami Marik showed his set card. "This reduced the damage in intervals of 1000!" Yami Marik endured most of the blast but he still took damage.

Yami Marik LP: 6200→5800

"Then, for every 1000 points of damage reduced, I draw one card!" Yami Marik drew two more cards.

"Damn it…" Jonouchi cursed. "I set one card and end my turn!"

Yami Marik LP: 5800, Hand: 3
Jonouchi LP: 5700, Hand: 1

"My turn! Draw!" Yami Marik drew his card. "I Normal Summon Dark Jeroid (ATK: 1200, LV: 4)!" Yami Marik summoned a fiend monster. "Dark Jeroid's Monster Effect! When it's summoned, one monster on the opponent's field has their Attack Points reduced by 800! I choose you're Red-Eyes!"

Red-Eyes Black Dragon (ATK: 2400→1600)

"Damn it…" Jonouchi cursed as he saw his dragon get weaker.

"Battle! Hellpoemer, attack Red-Eyes!" Hellpoemer unleashed his attack on Red-Eyes.

"I activate my Trap Card: Magic Arm Shield! When my opponent declares an attack on my monster, I can select one monster on my opponent's field to take the attack! I choose Dark Jeroid!" A shield grabbed Dark Jeroid and forced it to take the blast.

Yami Marik LP: 5800→4500

"Heh, heh. It feels good." Yami Marik smiled. "It feels good when a Duel goes exactly as you planned!"

"What?!" Jonouchi questioned.

"From my hand, I activate my Quick-Play Magic: Blood Offering to the Sun! I can only activate this card the turn I have taken damage! This card allows me to not only Special Summon three Sun Tokens to my field, but by discarding my entire hand…" Yami Marik discarded the rest of his cards to the Graveyard. "I can add the God Card, Ra the Winged Divine Dragon to my hand!"

"A God Card?!" Jonouchi exclaimed.

"How does he have a God Card? Didn't Yuya, Reiji and Sawatari return the God Cards to the Ishtar family?" Rio was confused.

"Hahahaha! Jonouchi, the existence of the God Cards exists in every world! And now you will face its full power soon!" Yami Marik laughed.

"Damn it…" Jonouchi started to sweat. "I have to end this Duel soon, if I don't, I'll have to face a God!"

United World – Kul Elna

Yuya, Atem, Mana and Mahad made it to the village of Kul Elna. Or what was left of it. All of the houses were destroyed and nothing remained.

"The air around here is cold." Yuya felt a chill.

"It's the spirits of those who desire revenge against the kingdom. Please tread carefully." Mahad advised.

"It is scary…" Mana held Atem tightly.

"It'll be okay, as long as we're together." Atem put his hand over hers.

"Right, Prince." Mana smiled.

The group continued to go through the village on horses for a while. "Over there." Mahad pointed to a location where there were stairs going underneath the village. "Our scouts have seen Genesis go into this location."

"Mana, rod at the ready." Mahad summoned a magic rod and so did Mana.

"Us too." Atem activated his Duel Disk and so did Yuya.

The four walked down the stairs with Mahad and Mana using their rods to light the way. They soon reached another room with a lot of pillars and altar ahead of them.

"It's been a while, Atem, Yuya! Or should I say Pharoah and Guardian!" Atem and Yuya's eyes widened as they saw who was waiting for them.

"Bakura?!" Atem exclaimed. "What are you doing here?"

"Isn't it obvious, this village is my home." Bakura revealed.

"Your home? But you said that your home was of Luxor." Atem questioned.

"You know this person, Pharoah?" Mahad asked.

"Yes, we were both in the Academia before I was called back home. He was part of the Obelisk Force. But I had no idea he was a resident of this village."

"I'm the last resident of Kul Elna after your father's kingdom massacred everybody else." Bakura said.

"Massacred?!" Atem was surprised.

"Take a look here." Bakura showed them a stone, a stone that had slots for each of the Millennium Items, and six of them were in place.

"The Millennium Items." Yuya saw them.

"Have you ever wondered how these items were created? They were created from the human sacrifices of the people of Kul Elna." Bakura explained.

"Human sacrifices?" Yuya's eyes widened.

"Horrible." Mana covered her mouth.

"Your kingdom was on the verge of being defeated, so in order to counter those that would take it, your father authorized the creation of the seven Millennium Items and use them to defeat those that waged war against him. But the process of the Millennium Items was made through Dark Alchemy. The soldiers gathered all the residents, whether they were male, female, elderly or infant and used them as sacrifices to forge these items." Bakura revealed.

"That's not…Mahad, tell me he's lying!" Atem turned to his friend.

"I'm sorry, my Pharoah, but it is the truth. The Millennium Items were created by the sacrifices of the people of this village." Mahad admitted. "But believe me when I say that your father had no idea on the method of their creation. When he did find out, he was filled with remorse and guilt. It was for that reason why he put you in position as Pharoah and isolated himself from you. He didn't want you to carry on his sins and went on a quest for atonement."

"But little did your father know that he unleashed a horrible fate on the entire world. The creation of the Millennium Items also created the Dark Games." Bakura added. "And now the time has come to commence the Ultimate Dark Game!"

"Ultimate Dark Game." Atem questioned.

"Yes, the Ultimate Dark Game that will bring for the paradise that was desired by Genesis Omega Dragon!" Bakura shouted. "The eradication of all humans and world ruled by Duel Monsters!"

"The eradication of all humans…" Atem sweated.

"No way…I won't let you!" Yuya charged at Bakura.

"Sir Yuya!" Mahad called out.

Yuya jumped at Bakura and activated his Duel Disk. Bakura responded with his own and their blades clashed. "I wonder how your children would react if I returned you in a body bag?"

"You bastard…" Yuya applied more pressure.

"We have to help him!" Atem looked at Mana and Mahad.

"Oh no you don't! Spirits!" Bakura shouted and ghostly spirits surrounded Atem, Mana and Mahad.

"Begone!" Mahad unleashed his magic.

"Disappear!" Mana unleashed her magic.

"Appear! The Dragon of Demolition, Gandora Cross!" Atem summoned a large dragon that unleashed multiple rays.

"How does Genesis plan to eradicate humanity? And what do Duel Monsters have to do with her paradise?" Yuya grunted as he and Bakura backed away from each other.

"It's a pain to explain it to you." Bakura smirked. "That's why…" Bakura snapped his fingers and one of the spirits snapped off Atem's Millennium Puzzle.

"The Puzzle!" Atem shouted.

"No!" Mahad fired a blast at the spirit and it made contact but the Puzzle landed in Bakura's hands.

"Kill them!" The spirits headed for the trio.

"Prince!" Mana pushed Atem away and the spirits struck her and Mana.

"Mana! Mahad!" Atem cried out in worry. He went to Mana and picked her up in his arms.

"Baku—" Yuya was gonna charge at Bakura again.

Bang!

Yuya gasped and he looked down at his stomach, where blood started pouring out. He coughed out blood and fell forward.

"Yuya!" Atem shouted.

"You're late." Bakura smirked.

"A star is always late for a show."

Yuya looked to the side and he saw Yusho looking down at him with a smoking gun. "Y-You…" Yusho kicked Yuya hard, making him grunt loudly.

"Don't worry, I won't kill you." Yusho grabbed Yuya's head, making him look at him. "That would be an act of mercy. You're gonna watch as I choke the life out of your children."

"Bastard…" Yuya spat blood right on Yusho's face.

"Now is the time for my revival!" Bakura lowered the puzzle.

"Bakura!" Atem tackled Bakura, making the puzzle fall to the ground and shatter into many pieces.

"Atem…you bastard!" Bakura grunted. "Hey, a little help here!" Bakura shouted at Yusho.

Yusho aimed his gun at Atem. "I won't let you!" Hasan burst from the ceiling and attacked Yusho.

"Atem…defeat…Bakura…" Yuya was still losing a lot of blood.

Atem gently laid Mana next to Mahad. "Bakura!" Atem shouted in anger and charged towards Bakura.

"You bastard! You won't stop me!" Bakura shouted as his Duel Disk blade and Atem's clashed, creating a shockwave.

"I will defeat you!" Bakura shouted.

"I will stop you!" Atem shouted.

"Diaha!" Atem and Bakura shouted Duel in Egyptian.

Mount Fuji

Genesis looked down at her mountain spring as she witnessed the events happening in the Plana and in Kul Elna.

"I really did like you Guardians." Genesis admitted. "But in the end, you all have no place in my paradise."

"Now, my servants…begin the Downfall of the Guardians!" Genesis shouted.
