Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 3 of Say You Will. I want to thank those who have left reviews for this story. It does mean a lot to me that you guys are enjoying this story. I've been trying my best with trying to write this out and make it as good as I can. I have a question right away that will deal with Book 3 of this series. Should James survive with him being so deeply in love with Rose? I kind of want him to survive but I'm curious what you guys would like to see because it will lead into Book 4 and Book 5 if I decide to go that far. Without further ado Chapter 3. ENJOY!
Chapter 3
Rose and Elizabeth were almost asleep in their shared cell. The moon shined down on the two of them through the bars.
Rose shifted some trying to make herself comfortable. Being in the cell for the last few days was something that she could handle, but she wasn't sure how much longer she would be able to. But it also leads to some dangerous thoughts. She thought that one way they would be able to escape and that was to accept the proposal from Becket. But she was afraid to do that, it would give up all of her freedom, but Elizabeth and Will would be free from Beckett.
A clicking sound was heard of the lock being unlocked. The door opened revealing Mr. Carruthers with Governor Swann.
"Come quickly."
Rose and Elizabeth both hurried out of the cell in a panic.
Governor Swann nodded his head to Carruthers and followed his daughter. He hurried the two of them to a carriage that was waiting.
"What's happening?" Elizabeth asked softly, her heels clicking softly against the cobblestone.
Rose looked around nervously wondering why their father was risking so much.
"Our name still holds some sway with the King. I've arranged passage for you and Rose back to England. The captain is an old friend."
Elizabeth's eyes widened. "No. Will has gone…"
"We cannot count on William Turner."
"He is a better man than you give him credit for."
"Please there is no time for this innocence." He drew his pistol out to make sure that it was ready. "Beckett has only offered one pardon. One. And it has been promised to Sparrow. Even if Will succeeds. Do not ask me to endure the sight of losing both my daughters walking to the gallows. Do not!" He pushed the pistol into Elizabeth's hands before pushing them both into the carriage.
"Yet you ask us to leave you." Rose said softly looking at their father in concern.
Governor Swann looked at his daughters with an adoring look. "I must stay. There are still men loyal to me here, and Beckett is wary of my ties to the crown. Perhaps… I can ensure Will has a fair trial if he returns."
"This is no time for innocence. A fair trial for Will ends in hanging."
"Then there is nothing for you here." He said closing the door on both of them.
Rose looked at Elizabeth as their father began to move the carriage. Rose took a soft breath, lowering her head softly. "I have a bad feeling about this." She admitted to her sister.
Elizabeth looked at Rose with a concerned gaze. "You have an idea of what to do?" Elizabeth questioned looking up at her sister.
"I might. Perhaps Beckett may listen to persuasion." Rose said softly as she looked down at her hands. "But I'm not sure if he's going to be so willing to listen… but it's worth a shot."
Elizabeth nodded her head. "I'll follow your lead."
Rose gave her sister a small smile. "You're trusting me on this?"
"Yes."
"Good." Rose said with a smile. "You know that this is dangerous."
"I know, but if it is the only shot we have then we take it right?"
Rose nodded her head. "Exactly." Rose could only hope that her plan that she had in mind was something that would help the both of them out. She was afraid of what she was going to have to do to finish this task.
The carriage slowed.
Governor Swann poked his head towards the back. "Stay inside." He told both of them. He lept down and hurried towards the two hidden figures that were talking he supposed. "Captain Hawkins." He gasped in shock when the body was dropped. That was his friend.
Mercer cleaned his knife off on his handkerchief. "Evening, Governor." He looked down at the body. "Shame, that." He displayed a letter folded, sealed, and slightly bloodied. "He had this on his person. A letter to the King addressed from you." He shook his head tsking his tongue against his teeth.
Governor Swann bolted towards the carriage. "Elizabeth! Rose!"
Mercer whistled and company troops swarmed the scene catching Governor Swann just as he got to the carriage. Mercer yanked, opened the door and it was empty. "Where are they?"
"Who?"
Mercer grabbed Governor Swann by the neck and slammed him hard against the carriage. "Elizabeth and Rose."
"They were always willful." He said softly before manicals were put on his wrists. He took one last look at the carriage taking a breath hoping that both his girls were going to be alright. He hoped that they escaped and were well on their way away from here. He wanted them safe in London where Beckett couldn't get his hands on them. He just hoped deep down that they weren't about to do something dangerous and put either one of them into harm's way. That was the last thing that he wanted.

This is the end of Chapter 3. I hope that you enjoyed this chapter. We're getting to the good part. What will Rose and Elizabeth do when they reach Beckett's office? Will Rose ask him to marry her to protect her sister or will she go with Elizabeth's plan? Please leave a review and let me know what you think of this chapter. I do apologize that this chapter is a bit on the short side, but I was trying to fit as much in as I can.
I didn't want to have Beckett's office in this chapter. I'm sure that you guys understand that. Reviews help me keep going when it comes to writing. I hope to have the next chapter out as soon as I can. Until next time.
