"It's time. We're about to embark on the greatest adventure of our lives. To find the Heart of the Forest! And there's no one else I'd rather be here with than Kelsey, Mortimor, JP, Maya, Omar, Alexis and Xavier!" Craig says.

"What!?" The others shout as they look at Xavier.

"Everyone careful! Who knows what he's got under those cashmere sleeves." Kelsey says as she points her sword at Xavier.

"Whoa! Hey. Everyone just chill. Xavier isn't our enemy anymore. He's on our side now." Alexis says.

"Yeah. He's with us." Craig says as he goes over to Alexis.

"He tried to hit me with a toy car! A whole toy car Craig." Kelsey says annoyedly.

"Hey we can talk about who tried to run over who all day but you wouldn't have run into half of these cubes without me." Xavier says as he holds out his cubes.

"Yeah but half those cubes you stole from us!" JP says.

"Kelsey, JP can I have a word?" Craig asks as he steps away with Kelsey and JP.

"So what's good? Besides me now?" Xavier asks as he smiles before Omar gives an annoyed look.

"I'll be right back." Omar says as he goes over to Kelsey, JP and Craig before the group comes walking back over.

"But at the first sign of trouble I am unleashing the beast!" Kelsey shouts as she looks at Xavier before Mortimor strikes a pose.

"Guys Craig and I are positive things will be okay. Just give him a chance. That's all we're asking." Alexis says.

*Timeskip*

"All the pieces are finally here. Alright who's got some creek?" Craig asks as the group is in the stump trying to piece together the cubes.

"I think I ate one." JP says nervously.

"What!?" Xavier and Craig shout in alarm as they look at JP.

"I was just going to town on these delicious cube shaped candies and I guess I mixed them up. Oh false alarm. Definitely just a candy." JP says as he burps.

"Okay one JP gross. Second can you please put down that bag of candy until we're finished? Preferably we'd rather not have any false or real alarms after all the hassle these cubes put us through." Alexis says as she looks at JP.

"Probably right." JP says as he gives Alexis the bag.

"This is it. The final piece. It's complete. Alright. Prepare yourselves. We ride at sundown." Craig says as the group finished piecing together the cubes.

"Uh I have to be home for dinner at six." Maya says.

"Same for me and Omar. Except for us it's five." Alexis says as Omar nods in agreement.

"We ride at sun up." Craig says.

*Timeskip*

"Okay according to the cube we start here. Now where is that in the creek?" Craig asks a the group is looking at his map and the cube.

"It's uh right here." Xavier says as he points at the meadow and smiles.

"Uh map stuff is Craig's thing just like tracking is Alexis's thing. So stay in your lane bro." Omar says.

"Hey, hey. It was a good guess. But I am the map boy! I'm pretty certain the starting point is here. So we should go this way." Craig says as he points to a spot on his map.

"Alright! What are we waiting for? Let's go. Unless that's your thing too?" Maya asks as she looks at Craig causing Alexis to chuckle at her comment.

"It is my thing. Alright! What are we waiting for? Let's go! To the Heart of the Forest!" Craig shouts as he stands up holding the cube.

*Timeskip*

"Wait guys! My tummy's tumbling and I didn't bring any snacks." JP says as he stops by a log as the group is walking.

"I have some jerky on me JP." Alexis says as she pulls a bag of jerky from her pocket.

"Uh no thanks. I'm not as into the whole carnivore appetite as you are Alexis. Thanks though." JP says as Alexis shrugs and puts the bag back into her pocket.

"Suit yourself then." Alexis says.

"Didn't think it would have to come to this. It's okay JP. They're just wriggling little protein." JP says as he grabs a work he found.

"I uh brought some squishers. Wanna split?" Xavier asks as he goes over to JP.

"Oh. Kelsey said I should stop taking candy from former dictators so... Actually I'm not hungry anymore." JP says as he stands up before going over to Maya and bumming for half her candy bar.

"Rude JP. Don't worry about it too much. JP sometimes doesn't think before he speaks. I thought your offer was very sweet." Alexis says as she goes over to Xavier.

"Thanks." Xavier says as he smiles slightly.

"No problem. If you're hungry though I don't mind sharing my jerky." Alexis says as she pulls out her bag of jerky.

"Sure. I'd like that." Xavier says as Alexis hands him her bag of jerky.

*Timeskip*

"Halt! The creek is too deep here. We can't venture through it." Kelsey shouts as the group comes to a stop at a stream with boulders.

"Unless we try this." Maya says as she jumps onto a boulder.

"Yeah!" Kelsey shouts as she and Maya jump their way across on the boulders before the others get across on a nearby log.

"Well that's one way across. But we found another." Alexis says as the group goes over to Kelsey and Maya.

"Y'all did see the log right?" Omar asks as he smiles.

"Hey! You all didn't tell me we were racing. Wanna go again?" Xavier asks happily.

"Why? So you can cheat with all your gadgets? Come on guys!" Kelsey shouts as she and the others walk on while Alexis and Craig look at a disappointed Xavier.

*Timeskip*

"Hey guys! Guess what?" Maya asks as the group climbs up onto a ledge.

"What?" JP asks.

"That's good." Omar says.

"It was pretty funny." Alexis says as she chuckles.

"I got one too! Okay uh what does a computer call it's father?" Xavier asks.

"I don't know. What?" Alexis asks.

"Data! It's like dada except it's a computer." Xavier says as Alexis laughs before stopping noticing the others aren't laughing.

"It was funny man." Craig says as he looks at Xavier.

"Maya tell yours again." Kelsey says as the group gets moving again except for Alexis, Xavier and Craig.

"Hey something wrong?" Craig asks as he and Alexis go over to Xavier.

"I don't get it. They're acting like I ruled as the evil king by myself. But last time I checked Maya was helping me. How come she gets a pass and I don't?" Xavier asks sadly.

"Sometimes making friends takes time. I'm sure they'll come around soon." Craig says.

"Craig is right Xavier. You gotta understand you've done a lot in the past. Including fool us before. The others are just being cautious until they see your actions are true. Give them some time. Be patient. They'll come around soon enough." Alexis says as she smiles reassuringly at Xavier.

*Timeskip*

"Okay. Didn't think we'd hit a literal wall." Maya says as the group comes to a stop at a pipe across from a lake and giant waterfall.

"But this is where the map stops. This can't be right." Craig says as he looks at the cube.

"Uh does Heart of the Foresttish to y'all?" Omar asks.

"Um nope. All I see is water." Alexis says as she looks around.

"Yeah. It kinda looks like a dead end." Kelsey says.

"Look! Beside the waterfall! Y'all see that too or am I tripping?" Craig asks as the group sees a pink heart symbol on a rock next to the waterfall.

"Clear as day." Maya says.

"Kenneth must have left it as a clue! There must be an entrance somewhere around here. Omar you got any waterproof arrows?" Craig asks as he looks at Omar causing him to chuckle.

"Do I got any waterproof arrows? Looks like it passed through to the other side." Omar says as he shoots a rubber duck at the waterfall before it passes through it.

"There must be an entrance on the other side. But one major problem though. How are we supposed to even get across all this?" Alexis asks as she looks over the edge of the pipe.

"We're gonna have to jump. Come on. We didn't come all this way for nothing." Craig says as the others look at him.

"I'll do it. I'll go first." Xavier says as he begins going toward the edge before JP runs in front of him.

"Nice try! You wanna ditch us and get to the Heart of the Forest and have it all to yourself! Not on ole JP's watch. Whoa!" JP shouts before he begins to lose his balance from stepping too close to the edge.

"JP!" The group shouts in alarm before Xavier grabs JP and pulls him to safety.

"You okay buddy?" Kelsey asks as she looks at JP.

"You saved him." Alexis says as she looks at Xavier.

"I'll always be just the enemy to you guys won't I? Yeah. That's what I thought." Xavier says before he jumps through the waterfall to the other side.

"Xavier! Wait up!" Craig shouts as the group follows Xavier to the other side before stopping as they see him.

"Whoa." Alexis says as the group sees they're in a tunnel.

"Check it out. It's some sort of tunnel. Xavier. What do you see?" Craig asks as he looks at Xavier.

"I'll tell you what I see. I see a bunch of kids who don't wanna know me as anything other than a bad guy. Well please allow me to reintroduce myself. The bad guy's back." Xavier says as his drones show up surrounding the group.
