Here we are at last we reach the 50th chapter, this has been the longest story I've written which I am very proud of doing. Thank you to all who have followed this story since chapter one and to those who continued following since my previous two versions. As a writer sometimes you have to rewrite the entire story to make it better. Some, like Dunedan, can plan it out before writing it. I can't thank him enough for the inspiration he gives me to push forward. The Roots of Hope is without a doubt the best fanfic I've read in the DxD fandom. But enough praising, you are all here for a battle and you shall have it!
ArguableReader: Well all I can say is Rias is Rias. There isn't much to change for her. Akeno, on the other hand, did need to change, the fact that all she needed was to be told she was okay who she was by everyone is better than having one guy do it. Hell, I even tried to make Rias play a part in helping her Queen which she should have done. Now she is in a much better place, fixing her relationship with her father and a loyal boyfriend who won't go chasing other girls either.
Nylock: Hopefully this battle will change his mind.
Century: Indeed. Issei just can't control his lewd thoughts and, as I showed, not every girl likes that type of guy. It's revolting that every girl just falls for him despite being a disgusting pervert who wants women of ALL AGES in his harem. RED FLAG RIGHT THEIR!
Nazgul60: Oh really? OOF! I did not know that! I swear I have never played Warcraft! LOL.
Battlefield90: I doubt the Old Satans would want to go after a bunch of Elves. We know the Old Satan Faction is hell-bent on taking out the new Satans.
Lockdown: Haha thanks! I'll try to catch up.
Firefly: Unfortunately no. I don't wanna go through the trouble of typing another language.
DragonGodZalama: THAT will be a meeting I'm looking forward to writing. As for chapter length, it all depends on where I want each one to end.
Markus: Thor is not a Devil he is NOT participating in the Rating Games. He is going to watch the games.
Ultron: Haha! You may see a reference. keep your eyes peeled for it.
Biohazzard: Neither Hades nor Indra may not want to meet Thor, Hades is not the leader of the Greek Pantheon and Indra is too OP and arrogant to talk with Thor.
"Go! Go! Get to the shelters! Calmly!" The shout was repeated over and over by each guard Akeno passed, the Priestess of Thunder's face was set for combat. The horn signaling an attack was sounded so this had to show the king the threat his daughter talked about was real or would he wave it off until he saw it first hand? Hearing someone shouting from her, the Queen of the Gremory Peerage spotted Asia, Koneko, Gasper, and Eivor with a handful of guards escorting them, making their way through the crowd towards her.
"Your Highness we must get you to the king immediately!" One of the guards said.
"Only if my friends come!" The younger Elven princess said.
Soon they were hastily heading toward the castle, the monorail unusable due to it being jam-packed with civilians heading to the underground shelters. By the time they reached their destination, the others were gathered around a table with Ylva, Thingon, and Bikou and Vandill. The Monkey King and Jotun were back and looking worse for wear, a stream of blood ran down Vandill's left arm and Bikou bore a nasty cut on his brow.
"What happened?" Akeno asked Vandill, making a b-line for him and Bikou with Asia to heal their wounds.
"Well as you know we found The Horde. A whole was hidden by invisibility spells. We don't how many but it looked to be in the thousands. Draugrs, Orcs, Trolls, Ogres, Giants, and other monsters from around the world."
"Where are Thor, Sigrun and Rossweisse?" Rias asked.
Vandill grimaced, "They stayed behind to stall their attack."
"We can't worry about them." Bikou said, his usual cheerful tone replaced with dead seriousness, "That army is on its way and we have to get ready for them. I swear if Vali was here he'd be having the time of his life."
"I've drilled the army for this very day." Ylva said, her armor glistening in the setting sun's light, "Civilizations are being evacuated to the shelters and every man and woman in the army is heading to the walls to main the defenses."
"Where do you want us?" Rias asked, now was the time to see what Ylva could do as a leader.
Ylva's eyes swept over the Devil's, "Have you ever led an army before?"
"No, but I am a quick learner," Rias said.
"Then listen carefully. As you are all aware we have three walls surrounding the kingdom with a single gate in each one. The Horde will try to overwhelm us and breach the gate and walls. The more openings they have the more they can send in. I need a captain for the south, east, and west. I will command the north. Rias you are south, Henrietta you are east, Andreas you have the west wall. You five," she pointed to Bikou, Vandill, Kiba, Xenovia, and Irina, "will be their co-captain."
"Xenovia and I are a team," Irina said.
"And I swore to always be by my king's side," Akeno added.
"Very well. Akeno stays with Rias. Xenovia and Irina you are with Kiba."
"Looks like that leaves you and me," Bikou said, wiggling his eyebrows at Henrietta who shook her head.
With the battle plan laid out Ylva's gaze fell upon Gasper, Koneko, and Asia, "You three stood back. Help evacuated civilians and treat the wounded."
"But we can help!" Gasper protested, scared as he was he did not want to sit back like he did when the Old Satans attacked, "I want to be out there with his friends! I can show them I'm strong! I can show them I am a man!"
"We have to serve the President," Koneko added, she had her fair share of battles, and an army of monsters would be nothing for her.
"The battlefield is no place for children." Ylva countered, her voice soothing but holding command in it.
"But, the president-"
"Is your master yes, and can only give you commands, but as my guests and the general of the army, I am giving you your orders. You are not Devils, you are soldiers and I will not have the young fight unless as a last resort."
Asia looked scared, "What do you mean?"
Ylva's eyes filled with sorrow, "If The Horde breach the walls and make it to the castle. Gasper, Koneko, the lives of the people as well as my father and sister are in your hands."
Terror seized Gasper, would he and Koneko be the last ones to protect the king and princesses? Could they hold off a whole army alone? Koneko had her Senjutsu powers and he could freeze anyone in his sight but he still hadn't mastered his gear yet.
"Gaspy and I can do it." The little Rook said a definite fire flickered in her golden orbs.
Gasper felt his fists clench, she was right that could do it! Rias gave them a second chance to live; they would be poor servants if they failed to protect their friends!
"Otherwise I'll haunt his spirit with garlic."
"Nooooooo!"
"Enough messing around, Koneko. This is serious." Rias ordered.
"So am I." The little Rook muttered.
"Then go! You have your orders! Escort my sister to the king!" Ylva commanded before turning to her captain of the guard, "Thingon!"
"Your Highness!?"
"You taught me how to wield a weapon and have always been my right-hand man. Can I count on you to be by my side?"
"To the death!"
"Then let us greet our guests!"
As the Elven warrior princess left Rias grabbed Issei's hand, her face showing concern. Her brave Pawn took part in many battles, even fighting Vali, but this was different; it wasn't a terrorist group but a whole army and neither she nor her Peerage had ever faced something like this before, "Issei, since joining my Peerage you've seen death many times but never took a life yourself. Are you ready for this? If any of us are in danger can I count on you?"
"Of course, president!"
"Even if that means killing?" Hesitate crossed Issei's face, "Can you kill to protect us? To protect me?"
Issei's mouth felt dry, death wasn't unusual to him. He saw his friends kill many foes but could he truly kill to protect his loved ones? Thor nearly killed that Kokabiel guy for hurting Rossweisse and Kiba killed Freed. Would killing change him? Would it haunt him?
"I don't know." He said at last, "But…if you order me to I will."
Rias shook her head, "I will NEVER give such an order to you, Issei. But…you may have no choice tonight. We are facing a life and death situation, if you do not wish to kill the enemy you don't have you."
But you killed Raynare for toying with my feelings… That last image of the Fallen Angel obliterated by the president's attack would always be etched into his memory. She killed Raynare for him…
"I'll do it. If I have to kill these monsters to protect the president I will!"
Rias' smile faltered for a second, he still was calling her president so did he just see her as the president? She shook the thought away now was not the time to think about that, they had a battle to win!
On the Northern Wall
"If you're a warrior why didn't you come with us to rescue your sister and Millicas?" Azrael asked, by the time he reached the wall the battlements had archers on it and more stationed behind. Each soldier stood at attention awaiting orders for the coming battle.
"Because Thor told me so. I insisted I could help and wanted to but he said he chose his companions for the mission and didn't want another guest harmed under his watch. So I had no choice but to wait for them to return. Which they did." There was another flash of lightning and the sound of thunder following it, "Thor is working hard to keep The Horde at bay to give us time to prepare."
"I just hope this Horde is just cannon fodder for him. I know Freyr and Alfheim are who we must call for aid but Thor is Asgard's strongest warrior. A member of the top ten. His strength alone was said to be able to slip the sea and level mountains."
"If we weren't in a forest he most likely would but Thor Odinson is a lover of trees, specifically oak trees. He once told me he took a nap under the oak tree near Asgard Academy."
One green eyebrow lifted, "Asgard Academy. If my father allows it I would like to enroll there to strengthen our relationship with Asgard."
The last of the sun's light vanished behind the horizon, darkness was coming and so was the Horde. Dead silence fell upon the kingdom, the calm before the storm. The battle that would decide the fate of the Boreal kingdom. Suddenly the earth began to shake, a thousand monsters were coming to destroy the Elven kingdom but they would fail. From within the forest shapes could be seen all of different shapes and sizes, The Horde had finally arrived.
On the southern defense
Issei fidgeted, being a Devil he could see better at night and with his dragon powers could see farther too, and what he saw made him shake in his shoes. So many monsters were in the forest all waiting to attack the city, waiting to kill his friends, to kill the president. The fear faded to determination, he would not let that happen, he would not let one monster get near the president! He was the Red Dragon Emperor and the Pawn of Rias Gremory! He would show this Horde the power he had.
Movement next to him drew his eyes to see Havarti take Akeno's hand and squeeze it, the Dwarf and Queen were nervous like him especially since they planned to go on a date after this battle if they survived it. No, they all will survive it! He still had a harem to gain and poke the president's nipples!
"Ready yourselves!" Rias shouted, the Gremory heiress and her Queen were to lead the southern defense of the kingdom with the west commanded by Henrietta, north by Ylva, and east by Azrael. Xenovia, Irina, Kiba, and Bikou were held in reserve for whenever the wall was breached.
Another flash of lightning skipped across the sky, this time closer to the kingdom showing the treetops in the distance. There was a roar and the ground shook as thousands of feet stamped upon the forest floor as The Horde rushed from the forest towards the defenders. From the magic circle next to Rias' ear, she heard Ylva mutter about the battle beginning. Now it was time to show these beasts what they got themselves into.
"Barriers up!" Rias shouted, and along the wall, Elves who knew magic erected a wall of magic barriers between the enemy and the kingdom's walls. She watched with grim determination as The Horde pounded upon the barriers to try and break them unaware of the storm of arrows raining down upon them or perhaps they were aware but ignored the attacks. When the third volley was fired the barriers broke but many monsters lay dead. The barrier was not the only problem The Horde had to face; all around the wide field between the kingdom and the forest magical traps of sealing and explosions activated adding to the death toll of the enemy yet they still advanced.
This was like fighting the ocean, when one wave was killed another would follow, how many were there? How big was this army of monsters exactly? At last, The Horde reached the wall but yet again were greeted by counterattacks via spells, spears, and more arrows, among the attacks Power of Destruction and Holy Lightning flew.
"Havarti, two already!" Vandill's voice came from the magic communicator the Dwaff had beside his ear, even in a serious battle like this they still played their game of who got the most kills.
"I'm on seventeen!" The Dwarf replied.
"WHAT!? I WILL NOT BE OUTSCORED BY A BEARDLESS DWARF!" The Giant roared.
"Nineteen!" The Dwarf said after blasting two more with a spell, Rias could hear her Rook roar with rage. Since he had no long-range weapon or skill in magic he must be hurtling spears down upon the monsters.
Rias smiled humorously, the Einherjar weren't the only ones keeping score of their kills. Vandill and Havarti were doing the same.
Far from the battle
On the highest balcony within the kingdom Oalf, Eivor, Gasper, Koneko, and a dozen guards overlooked the battle, the king himself was doing his best not to glare at the Rook and Bishop. Eivor said they would be her bodyguards until the battle was over and that he should show more kindness to these children. Yes, they were children but they still were Devils, Devils who were at this very moment fighting to protect his kingdom and possibly die in the process. Well, if they think this would fix the issue it wouldn't. Nothing could change his hatred for the Biblical Faction.
Somewhere down there his first daughter was fighting with those bats against a force who she warned him about time and time again until the attack came. He had stubbornly dismissed the threat but it was true, The Horde IS real and we were trying to destroy the city but they would fail. The Guardians of Boreal will show these mindless beasts how stupid they are to attack his kingdom.
"If this is all they have it is futile." He bragged.
It was not all they had for within the forest came a roar. The tops of trees showed they were being shaken or knocked over, something was coming, something big. At last, the mysterious monster came crashing through the trees and what they saw sent a shiver down Eivor's back. It was a large four-legged creature with rough leathery skin and a large horn protruding from the tip of its nose with menacing red eyes.
"By all the Nine Realms…it's a Fire Drake!" Eivor shouted, eyes full of shock, awe, and fear. Drakes were four-legged wingless dragons that could grow to any size, this one was about 15 feet tall and its destination was the wall she stood upon. The Fire Drake stepped forward two spaces and opened its jaw wide.
Just then from within the darkness a green glow shone brightly what it was the Elves didn't know but Koneko and Gasper did, Issei was powering up. Was he going to try and stop that thing by himself? The question was answered when the glow brightened and soon a massive red magic circle the size of Kuoh Academy with the Gremory sigil appeared just as a stream of pure white fire shot out of the Drake at a speed equal to Kiba. Koneko felt Gasper grab her hand, she did not pull away she did not show it but the concern for the woman who saved her was putting her life at great risk to stop this attack. The president will hold off this monster's attack, she was Lucifer's sister, she had the power!
The fire met the barrier and everyone watched with held breath, the barrier it was holding! The fire could not break through! Yes, Rias Gremory was doing it! She could hold it back, she could do it! A yellow barrier with the Gremory sigil appeared, now Akeno was joining the struggle and soon another and another defense barrier appeared, even the Elves were trying to keep the attack at bay.
The Fire stopped and before any celebration could happen the Fire Drake charged like an angry bull towards the barrier slamming against it with such force it caused a crack to form then it opened its mouth once more to unleash its deadly flame at point blank range. There was a stab of white and a great boom erupted followed by a sight Eivor would never forget. The southern wall was blasted open sending stones and bodies in all directions while the fire kept streaming into the city setting buildings alight.
Olaf felt as if Ragnarok had begun; the wall that had kept so many invaders out of his beloved kingdom had finally been breached.
Northern defense
"The wall is breached! The south wall has broken!"
Ylva's heart sank at the cry that was passed along the line, the enemy had at last broken the first defense and would begin pouring into the city and possibly flank them. If they stayed they could hold but may get cut off. She had to decide now…
"Another one, east wall!" Thingon cried, pointing out another Fire Drake bearing down upon Henrietta and her defenders.
Damn it, we can't stay here! I hope you're alright Rias… "Back to the second wall!"
At the south wall
Issei Hyoudou had seen it happen all the time in movies where the good guy gets hit by a powerful attack and loses hearing for a second and now he was experiencing it. He had hoped the president, Akeno, and the Elves could hold the attack back and it had until the Fire Drake sent a second blast right in front of the president's face. Fear gripped his heart, the president and Akeno had been caught in the blast! Scrambling to his feet he looked around screaming for the president but could only see dust and hear nothing. Did he lose his hearing now, would he be deaf forever?
"….dent! President! Where are you!?"
Well, he still had hearing but as the dust settled there was still no sign of the red-haired beauty but lots of bodies, burned, twisted, or stirring, bodies all about with one laying near the breach in the hole that increased his fear. Akeno Himejima was slowly stirring, her clothes burned away leaving her naked for all the see and a nasty burn on her left arm and shoulder, she could be saved, Asia just had to heal her wounds and-
"Here they come!" A warrior shouted.
Behind Akeno thousands of monsters came rushing into breach, a handful of nasty-looking orcs giving lewd expressions at Akeno and prepared to pound on her.
"Akeno!"
Issei looked up, to his surprise Havarti had managed to escape the blast unharmed and now, with magic alight in hand, leaped over the edge falling right on top of the orcs blasting them with pure magic energy at the villainous beasts who wanted to take the woman he loved. Left, right, left again, center, all about Havarti cast spell after spell at every monster that approached him and the dazed Queen. Issei had to do something, he had to save his friends! Preparing to charge into the fray a wall of arrows flew overhead turning many monsters into pin cushions, dead pin cushions. Suddenly an army of Elves came rushing forward to meet the enemy head-on, spears stabbing, swords swinging, and shields protecting against the Horde. With the chaos, Issei pushed his way through to get to Akeno and Havarti but with so many pressing against each other he couldn't reach them he couldn't save them!
"Akeno! Havarti!" The Red Dragon Emperor cried, if any of those monsters hurt his friends he would kill every one of them!
"Stay there, Issei!" Havarti shouted, then he clapped his hands together and muttered something Issei couldn't hear before a magic circle appeared beneath him and Akeno then they vanished in a flash of light. They managed to escape from the chaos but he still hadn't located the president. She…she couldn't have died from the attack…if she did…
"Watch out for the Fire Drake!"
Brown eyes glared at the Fire Drake that broke another breach in the wall. Anger, uncontrollable anger began swirling within Issei, that monster had killed the president -no- it had killed Rias! He would rip it to pieces! Within Issei's soul the Heavenly Dragon compiled with his desire, his desire to kill in the name of the woman he loved! It was time to show these fools the power of the Red Dragon Emperor!
"Dragon shot!"
Throwing his arm forward a massive blast of pure energy went spring towards the Fire Drake. The wingless dragon saw the attack but could not react in time to it, the entire top portion of the Fire Drake was removed. What remained of it swayed for a bit before crashing upon a couple of homes with blood flowing through the city. Issei felt his heart beating like a drum in his ears. He had done it, he had killed for the first time and it felt…what did he feel?
"Don't just stand there, Devils! Fight!"
Issei was brought from his thoughts by a warrior moments before said warrior disappeared in the chaos. Realizing Rias wouldn't want him to zone out, Issei called upon the Rook promotion and threw punches left and right at any monster that was in his sight. For Rias' sake, he would kill all of these monsters.
Eastern wall
"Seventeen! Eighteen! Nineteen! Twenty! Twenty-one! Twenty-two!"
Seeing a Jotun standing on the wall swinging a hammer knocking monsters off was quite a sight to see. The Horde's onslaught was fierce on the east defense so much so that trolls climbed the walls with orcs, draugr's, and many others riding them to get to the top and battle the Elves. Soon the battlement was crowded with Elves, monsters, a Giant turned Devil, and an Einherjar who was covered in blood from hair to boot.
I'm definitely going to take a shower after the battle. The blonde teacher grumbled while beheading an orc. How much longer can they hold out?
"Ms. Berg! The southern defense has been overrun!" Vandill cried after crushing a Draugr's head with his hammer, bone crusher.
Sparing a quick glance she could see through the battle fire burning in the south, indeed it was overrun but why didn't the trumpet to retreat be sounded? Perhaps they wanted to hold their position until the last man. Refocusing her attention back to the battle she caught a glimpse of a bright glow meaning the Red Dragon Emperor was doing his part. She removed the left arm and leg of an ogre before kicking it off the wall into the Horde.
Streaking across the sky on his magic cloud, Bikou swung his extended pole left and right cracking skulls with the force of a jumbo jet. Sweat covered his brow, he fought many battles with Vali but this was something else. He always loved a good fight but this was not a fight but a siege to protect a kingdom he had no ties to. The Horde had no skill, just overwhelming numbers that were proving effective by his view in the sky; more and more began swarming onto the battlements. If things get worse he would not run like Kuroka when a battle is lost, he would stay and fight to show these brutes who they were dealing with, just as Vali would do.
I hope Big Thunder and those sexy ladies are doing better than us.
"Watch out!"
Bikou glanced back and his eyes widened as a fifteen-foot-tall Jotun crashed through the streets, his target; the wall. Like hell, he would! Turning hard he flew straight toward the Jotun with his pole expanded in size and length that soon slammed into the Giant's face making blood oozing from his nose like water from a burst damn. The attack however did little to stall the large man but the Monkey King was on him like a fly buzzing around a human who tried to swat it away. Swooping in low he swung his weapon and, with a loud crack, broke the Giant's left leg sending him crashing to the floor and wide open for arrows, spears, and spells to snuff out the Giant's life.
Sweat rolled down Bikou's face, this was going to be a long night…
Meanwhile
The gate to the city had been breached letting monster after monster swam the defenders on the ground. In the thick of the chaos, Ylva moved with the grace of an artist as her glaive swept left and right while blood dripped off it like a paintbrush applying red to a picture. Despite such skills, even she could not hold back the onslaught of The Horde and with two of the defenses overrun they would have to retreat to the second defense. Turning her sights to the wall where Thingon still commanded the archers and spell casters she yelled as loud as she could to order him to sound the retreat just as a dozen Draugrs backed by Trolls and Ogres rushed her, none got past her weapon. Soon it became a fighting retreat to the second wall with archers and spell casters covering the spearman as they fell back to position. Eventually, the defenders made it to the wall where Ylva found Henrietta, Bikou, Vandill, and Issei.
"What happened? Where are Rias, Akeno, and Havarti?" The Warrior Princess asked.
It was Henrietta who answered, "Havarti teleported himself and Akeno out of the battle. What became of Rias we don't know."
Ylva pursed her lips. No way Rias could be killed so easily, she is Lucifer's sister, "We will figure it out later. We have to prepare for the next defense."
"I'm gonna kill them all…." Issei growled, he had killed many monsters but it was not enough to quell his anger. If the president was dead…
"Ready yourselves? They come again!"
"We won't be able to hold against that," Thingon commented as he watched Fire Drakes, Giants, and Trolls lead the charge to destroy the wall. He, like his fellow guards, like the king and princesses, were left horror-struck at seeing their kingdom attacked and burned. Ylva asked Thor to protect their city, not his friends or the Biblical Faction so why wasn't he here? Then, as if reading his mind, a massive lightning bolt fell upon the monster, then another on the next, and then something slammed into a Giant sending it crashing into another.
"It's about time you showed up!" Vandill cried before leaping off the wall changing size in the process before charging the enemy but as he drew closer he realized it was not the God of Thunder but the Emerald Valkyrie burning her sword into the Giant's head. Glancing upwards he saw Rossweisse firing spell after spell on the Fire Drakes. Seeing no sign of Thor he said, "Rossweisse, where is Thor?"
"Occupied!"
"With what?" He was answered by a Giant much bigger than him punching him hard in the face. Scolding himself for asking questions in the middle of the battle began trading blows with the evil Giant.
The Horde crashed upon the wall like waves on rocks, the Elves throwing everything at the monsters determined to keep them from reaching the king, princess, and civilians. Each one of them would gladly die for their kingdom just as the Devil's serving Rias Gremory would do if their master still lived. The swords of the Angels, Einherjar, Knight, and Valkyrie sliced through monsters left and right who reached the battlements while arrows soared overhead.
"Down, Xenovia!" Xenovia ducked as the Sword of Betrayer took the head off an orc coming up behind the reincarnated Angel.
"Your father would be proud of your skills today!"
"We will tell him when we-" The rest of Kiba's words were drowned out by a blast of fire by a Fire Drake obliterating a portion of the wall. That fast!? The Horde was determined to see the kingdom fall! Speaking of falling through, an order to retreat was given and, with a heavy heart, the Knight ran with the younger Einherjar to the last defense.
"We may not be able to hold the kingdom. We may have to abandon the kingdom." Andreas growled.
"That is for the king to decide." An Elven spell caster said.
"We may have no choice."
When the last soldier reached the wall the gate was sealed and the last defense fortified. Henrietta, Kiba, Xenovia, Irina, Bikou, Vandill, Issei, Azrael, Andreas, Sigrun, Rossweisse, and Ylva stood side by side ready to face The Horde, each one of them sporting a wound or many from the constant fighting. Whatever will happen they will face it with courage.
"I hope the president managed to escape the attack." Kiba grimaced, like the rest of the Peerage he was told of her vanishing after the first defense was breached. He hoped the woman who saved him wasn't dead, he owed so much to Rias.
"She must have. She's strong." Andreas agreed, remembering the power she displayed in the battle at the Peace Summit. Since the start of the battle, the Greek Einherjar had fought like a Spartan of Ancient Greece, his ferocity was so great he managed to slay a Troll single-handedly which would be praised in Valhalla.
"Soldiers!" Ylva yelled at the top of her lungs, "The Horde have slain many of our friends, our siblings, our parents! They have ravaged our city and they have reached the palace but if we will not let them reach it! We are the Guardians of Boreal! No matter what comes through those gates you will face it without fear!"
Determination to live drove them on to fight for their kingdom, those on the battlements readied bows or spells at the approaching enemy, they all knew this may be the last stand and they would take as many monsters as they could with them. Suddenly The Horde stopped their advance and stood as still as trees or one who gazed upon Medusa and it surprised the defenders but they stood fast for whatever plan these wicked monsters had. The plan was revealed when a magic circle appeared before The Horde, it was large, the color violet with runes unrecognizable by Rossweisse. Out stepped a tall man; from the light, they could see he was very handsome to gaze upon but also very unsettling; he was draped in a majestic violet robe similar to Odin's. The stranger's skin was as pale as the moon's light, his night blue hair looked as if a whole bottle of gel had been used to slick it back, and shimmering silver eyes gazed upon the walls with a calm yet disgusted attitude.
"...no…" Muttered Thingon, the Elf Captain looked as if he had seen a ghost, "How can this be? I thought they were extinct!?"
"Who is he?" Kiba asked what his friends were thinking, nearby he could see Vandill and Henrietta exchanging dark looks with one another. Whoever the stranger was, he was very dangerous.
"His ears, Kiba. Look at his ears."
Listening to Rossweisse's words Kiba focused on the man's ears and gave an audible gasp, the tips were pointy!
"Is he a Vampire?"
"Worse than that Kiba," Ylva said, her violet orbs staring hatefully at the man, "He's a Dark Elf."
