Dipper sat next to his sister on the couch in some random, large room within the Mystery Shack he hadn't known existed until today. He could hear the sounds of Soos and Wendy moving things around and decorating for the party Stan was throwing tonight.

His attention turned back to his sister with the sudden sound of her shaking something, it sounded like something in an aluminum can. She had a wide smile, he could tell from the light hitting her braces at just the right angle.

"Hey bro, I don't feel so good. Blaaaarrrrg." Mabel made a drawn out vomiting noise as she sprayed him with what he could tell to be, silly string, causing him to join in her laughter.

Dipper reached down and into a bag sitting on the floor, grabbing a can of his own, he pulled a similar stunt. "Ugh gross, now I don't feel so hot either, blaaaaarrrrrr!"

Dipper was confused because instead of covering his sister in silly string, it was glitter mist that came out of his can. Mabel looked down at herself, a nice fresh coat of glitter now coating her from head to stomach. "Oops!" She said sheepishly "I must have put one of the cans of my stuff with the party things."

He flushed, feeling embarrassed and a bit stupid, when Wendy rushed over. "Guys! Guys, guys, guys. Something really important just happened. Blaaarrrrg."

Wendy suddenly pulled two cans from her back pockets as she made the vomiting noise, coating Mabel in silly string and Dipper in glitter mist. Giving each a coat of mess they had given the other previously. Her eyes widened in, fake, surprise. "Ah shoot, I must have grabbed Mabel's stuff too. Sorry man."

As Wendy apologized, Dipper started to laugh a bit. He would have to clean himself up, but he now felt better about his mistake.

Their fun was interrupted as Stan walked over as the three were trying to get their giggles under control and took the stuff from them. "That's it, no more access to party supplies."

"But the glitter mist cans are mine!" Mabel protested "how else am I gonna make my sweaters sparkle so Dipper can spot me easily?"

Stan blinked as he looked towards the other two, who just shrugged at him. He took one of the glitter mist cans and sprayed it at Wendy. "There, since it was used on an employee, instead of just yourselves, that makes it technically a part of my party supplies, which means, you lose it."

As Stan walked away, Dipper and the girls just raised a brow at Stan. Mabel reached up with her hand to adjust Dipper's face so he was facing the right direction. Wendy did her best to keep her deadpan look at Stan, but grinned as she saw that from the corner of her eye.

As Stan set the canisters down at a table away from the kids, Soos spoke up. "Mr. Pines, whose birthday is it again?"

"Nobody's," Stan said, "thought this party might be a good way to get kids to spend money at the Shack. "

Mabel frowned at that, her Grunkle had been teaching her how to play cards and she started to learn his tells as a result. And she was pretty sure he was lying, or at least not telling the full truth. She thought about calling him out but decided against it, at least for right now.

"Nice!" Soos said.

"The young people of this town want fun;" Stan said "I'll smother 'em with fun!"

"Maybe that's why kids don't come to the Mystery Shack" Dipper commented, he was still sitting on the couch while Wendy and Mabel had moved to be closer to the conversation.

Stan shot Dipper a look that he knew the boy wouldn't see, then turned to his niece. "Here, why don't you go make some copies of this flier?" He handed her a piece of paper.

"Oh boy!" She said happily "a trip to the copier store."

"Calendars, mugs, t-shirts and more!" Soos said "they got it all at the copier store! That's not their slogan, I just really feel that way about the copier store."

"Save the trouble." Stan said "you know the old copier in my office? I finally fixed the old girl up! You can use that."

Mabel gave him a salute "I won't let you down!" She declared and ran off "Mabel away!"

Stan watched her go then turned to Dipper "your sister sure is something…"

"Yup."

Later that day, about an hour before the party was due to start, Stan gathered his two employees and the twins. "Okay party people, time to go over your jobs for tonight." He said "Soos, because you'll work for free, and you begged, I'm lettin' you be DJ."

"You won't regret it, Mr. Pines." Soos promised "I got this book to teach me how to DJ r-r-right!"

"Not encouraging." Stan said "Wendy, you and Mabel are working the ticket stand."

"What? Come on Grunkle Stan" Mabel whined "this is my chance to make new friends!"

"Oh well, um…. I can work the ticket stand" Dipper offered, stammering over his words a bit.

Stan frowned "are you sure you can handle it? I don't want people taking advantage of you not being able to read the bills."

"Yeah!" Dipper said "if I had my glasses and a light or something when it gets dark I should be able to read everything just fine."

"Well if you're sure…" Stan finally agreed.

He, Soos, and Wendy headed off to finish the last minute preparations. "Yes!" Dipper cheered.

"Ooh, you and Wendy at the ticket stand!" Mabel teased "do I smell love in the air?"

"What?" Dipper tried to protest, his cheeks growing warm as he blushed. "No!"

"Then why would you volunteer?" Mabel giggled.

"So you could enjoy the party?" Dipper tried to say but it sounded more like a question.

"I don't believe you," Mabel said in a sing-song voice.

"Whatever" Dipper rolled his eyes and walked away…

And promptly walked into a table.

That night the party was just getting started and Stan walked up next to Mabel as she watched the people start to trickle in. "Can your uncle throw a party or what?"

"What?" Mabel grinned up at him.

Stan chuckled and ruffled her hair "and if anyone wants to leave, I'm charging an exit fee of fifteen bucks!"

"Grunkle Stan," she said hesitantly, "why are you throwing this party?"

"I told you," Stan said "to get more kids in the Shack."

Mabel pointed up at him with her 'serious' face on "I'm calling your bluff" She declared.

"Are you now?" Stan looked amused.

"Yes."

Stan chuckled, before looking around to make sure no one eavesdropped. "Okay, fine, it's my birthday. After talking about my brother with you and your own, I kind of had the urge to throw a bit of a party. We never really had one thrown for us before, so I guess I wanted to throw one to celebrate a bit with you two kids... Though leaving him out with Wendy made it a bit pointless I guess."

Stan scratched his chin as he looked to be thinking.

—-

Dipper and Wendy were sitting at the ticket booth, Dipper had mostly been acting like he could see just fine, and just taking the money and handing out tickets. They had the bright idea to put up a 'No Change' sign, so if someone handed him a larger bill than necessary, he could point at the sign.

It was Dipper's idea, and because Stan didn't think of it, they could pocket the difference, which wound up being the occasional ten when a person only had a twenty to give. Dipper was beginning to question the level of intellect among the populace here.

Big hearts, little common sense. It was like they only came here to get ripped off… Maybe that's how Stan was so successful?

Dipper had been doing his best to keep both himself and Wendy entertained, asking her various questions and she asked some of her own. After a bit Dipper heard her shifting a bit nervously in her seat next to him as he asked his own.

Wendy's questions were curious, like a couple of others that he knew. Not everyone was insensitive, but enough were to make him cautious of a lot of people. But Wendy and her friends were cool enough that he felt comfortable letting her ask them. Some were the obvious and mundane questions, while there was a…

Correction, there were only obvious and mundane questions she could ask. But, Dipper still answered them best he could, seeing as she wasn't going about them in a rude manner, or to be mean. Dipper didn't mind questions, it was only when the answers were too obvious or the question was asked in a condescending way.

Although, his crush might help the girl's quest for answers…

During a break from the questions, Wendy wound up hearing some music inside. "Man, wish we could head in and party. Not that hanging with you isn't fun, but sitting here while everyone is having a blast in there, is a kind of torture no kid should have to endure."

Dipper blinked, getting an idea.

—-

As Stan was looking over the party, his earlier thoughts rolling around in his head, he was pulled from them as he felt someone tapping his shoulder. Turning, he found Wendy. "Hey, boss? I kind of need to use the restroom, and I need someone to cover for me."

Stan turned to see Dipper alone at the ticket booth, where he accidentally accepted a five instead of a ten for a ticket. (Don't ask how he could tell from this distance.) "Hot belgian waffles!"

He rushed over to help while Wendy went to use the bathroom.

Stan walked over and sat down with Dipper, though he didn't look as upset as someone would think, not that Dipper would be able to tell. "I thought you said you could read the bills well enough to do this?"

Dipper frowned as he turned towards him. "I can, but it takes me a bit and people get annoyed and leave when I take too long, so to protect the business, Wendy has been keeping an eye on both bills handed to us, and nudges my foot if it's good."

The boy finished off his cup of punch, as Stan groaned over these people taking advantage of the kid. Couldn't blame Dipper, he was doing the best he could under the circumstances.

As the two sat there taking money, Stan doing as Dipper said Wendy was doing, Dipper began to wiggle in his seat slightly. "What's the matter with you kid?"

"...I should have held off finishing my drink."

Stan sighed, noticing that Wendy wasn't making her way back, even as it had been a couple minutes. "This is why I wanted two of you out here. So you could cover for the other if something like this happens." He rolled his eyes "Wendy probably ditched work again, so I guess I can cover this whole thing myself so you can go."

Dipper smiled "thanks Grunkle Stan."

As he walked around the table, Dipper felt Stan ruffled his hat. As Dipper was leaving he almost missed Stan muttering, "have fun kid."

Dipper blushed at being caught and hurried inside the best he could, missing the next kid in line looking between the two. "Neither of those guys are coming back, you know."

Stan rolled his eyes. "Eh, quiet you. Fifteen bucks."

—-

As Dipper made his way through the party, he caught the sound of his sister's laugh. He chose to walk towards it, hoping she could help him locate Wendy, finding her talking with two other kids. "Hey Mabel, who are your friends?"

Mabel jolted as she turned to her brother. "Hey bro, this is Candy and Grenda."

Before Mabel could ask what he was doing inside, they heard Soos' announcement, requesting competitors for the competition for the party crown. Mabel noticed her new possible friends staring at the crown in awe, before a fancy looking blonde stepped onto the stage and expected the crown to just be handed to her. Soos blinked as he placed the crown back on the box. "Sorry dude, this is a competition thing. You've got to win if you want the crown."

Dipper scoffed. "So, who's the princess?"

Candy was the one that answered him. "That is Pacifica Northwest, the most popular girl in town."

Pacifica scoffed, "who is going to compete against me? Fork girl? Lizard lady?"

Grenda and Candy hugged one another as they cowered. Dipper raised a brow at them as he heard Grenda mutter, "hold me Candy."

And Candy's response of "our kind are not welcome here." Earned them an eye roll.

If they were unwelcome, he wouldn't have accepted their money for entry.

As Mabel took notice of her two potential friends flinching and backing away, heads hung low, almost looking ashamed of themselves. Mabel became determined. "I will!"

She stepped onto the stage, Mabel turned to her competitor, reaching a hand out as any good sport would. "Hello, I'm Mabel."

Pacifica looked at her with a raised brow. "That sounds like an old lady's name."

Mabel just smiled. "We'll all be old someday, at least I'm ready for it."

Pacifica took a moment to think over that line, not sure if it's optimism, or a shot at her. Tabling that thought for now, she looked between her and the boy that looked to be her twin. "You two must be new here, and I can already tell, your brother has a lot more common sense than you. He recognizes me as royalty, while you're foolish enough to think you can beat me."

Dipper raised a brow as Mabel kept smiling, though it did turn a bit teasing. "So, you're saying you want him to see you as his princess?"

Pacifica opened her mouth to say something, before stopping and closing it as she pondered the girl's meaning. This was the second time she turned her words on her, and she wasn't going to open herself to it happening a third time. Heaven forbid she said something like she was 'everyone's princess, only for the girl to turn it around and call her a tramp.

Pacifica narrowed her eyes. "You are a lot more crafty at this than I first gave you credit for."

Mabel's smile turned into a smirk as she flipped her hair at the girl. "You're not the first mean girl I had to outwit, and you won't be the last. May our battle of the hardier partyer, go just as friendly, and may the better party gal, win."

Pacifica returned the smirk with one of her own. "I plan to."

As Mabel returned to her brother and the two girls, she took notice of Candy and Grenda watching her in awe. Both girls' eyes were sparkling as they spoke in unison. "Please teach us your ways!"

She laughed, "I don't think it's something that can be taught. But I am happy to defend you!"

"She means that both verbally and physically," Dipper added.

The two girls chuckled, taking it as a joke, until neither twin joined them, causing their laughter to trail off. Mabel turned to her brother to ask what was on her mind. "So, as we were before, what you doing inside bro?"

Dipper smiled. "I thought Wendy and I were pulling one over on Stan, but I think he already knew we were trying to, in order to get a chance to join the party."

Mabel had a slight smile on her face as she turned towards the entrance, seeing Stan sitting at the table, taking money, he was smiling more than when he was inside. Whether that was from his nephew being able to join the party, or the fact he was spending his birthday with people giving him money was anyone's guess.

As Mabel turned back to her brother and the two girls, Soos was giving the lowdown on how the party competition would go. "Alright, we have a dance off, and then a sing off. So get your feet ready to light the dance floor on fire."

Soos proceeded to press buttons on his keyboard, the device making several different noises, including dogs barking, a car horn, a creepy clown laugh, motorcycle engines, and even a sheep's bah, until he finally hit one that made an explosion sound effect. "Nailed it."

"We really should have helped him label those." Dipper said to Mabel

"I am sorry, but I was not there to assist." Candy, the new girl with the softer voice was the one to answer him, how he wound up looking at the wrong person, he didn't know.

Dipper flinched and blushed as he cleared his voice. "Yeah, I know. I am just saying…"

Candy narrowed her eyes to focus on Dipper's. "Are you blind?"

Dipper nodded, "yeah you could say that."

Candy nodded. "Is it Glaucoma, Pigmentosa, or…"

She was interrupted as Mabel answered. "Pigmentosa."

Better to stop her there before she went on to name all the diseases and causes of blindness before she tries going through them all. Sometimes, when the person didn't have the disease, but did research into them, it could lead to them rambling about what all they could do to help fix him. He had that problem with a babysitter once.

Mabel swore for the first time at that girl. Their parents had no idea where a five year old had learned such a word.

Candy must have realized she was stepping on his toes with her inquiries, so she simply quieted down and backed off a little. It did make Mabel feel slightly bad, seeing as she wound up scaring the girl, but a red flag is a red flag. Maybe she could explain their defensive attitude later, if she hung around.

As the small group were talking, someone came up behind them and placed her elbows on the twins' heads. "How's it going?"

Dipper and Mabel giggled as they ducked to get out from under Wendy's arms, although there was more than just Wendy there. Tambry and Thompson were also with her. Mabel took notice and asked, "hey Tambry, Thompson. Where are the rest of the guys?"

Wendy pointed over to the nearby window, where Lee and Robbie were busy trying to pull Nate out of the window he tried to escape from. The three girls giggled over the ridiculous sight, as Wendy described the scene for Dipper.

"Nate and Lee didn't have the fifteen bucks to pay to get out, so they hatched an escape plan. Lee gave Nate a boost to the window, and something about a goat, some cans, a gnome, and pie. Well somehow that led to him being stuck in the window. Soos might need to help them out when he has the time."

Dipper and Candy both squinted their eyes in thought, both trying to make sense of it all, before giving up.

Soos called the contestants to the dancefloor, Mabel happily rushing over. Candy and Grenda were the first to follow, almost immediately, while Wendy and Tambry subconsciously led Dipper, each with a hand on his shoulders.

And so, the dance off commenced, Pacifica, for some reason, had a couple backup dancers. Not that Dipper could see that, Wendy gave him the details. As Pacifica, Henchwoman 1, and Goon A, were doing what could pass as a practiced routine, the other three teenagers managed to finally make their way over, Nate having his head covered in pie.

"You guys okay?" Dipper asked, having heard their footsteps.

Nate shrugged. "I taste like frazzleberries, but I'm fine."

Lee chuckled along with him. "Yeah, you were really stuck in there."

Robbie looked at how close both Wendy and Tambry were standing with Dipper, before looking over and seeing Mabel in some competition against Pacifica. Smirking, the teen gained an awful idea. "Might not be our place to join, but shouldn't her brother be out there helping her out, since her competition has backup?"

Before anyone could respond, Robbie moved behind Dipper and pushed him towards the dancefloor as Mabel was stepping out to show her groove. Dipper stumbled, trying to regain balance and fell on his hands and knees.

"Dipper?" He heard Mabel say.

He could hear the sound of a few people snickering or even outright laughing so he quickly got to his feet and tried to leave the dance circle. Knocking into a few people on his way out, his face burning with heat.

"Woah!" Dipper felt someone grab his arm and automatically flinched before he recognized the voice as Wendy's. "Sorry, are you okay?"

"I'm… I'm fine…" Dipper said "I just wasn't expecting that."

He heard the sound of laughing and turned to look at Robbie's dark, blurry shape. "Man, that was pretty embarrassing. For you!"

Dipper wrapped his arms around himself, wishing he was back outside at the ticket stand instead of in here. Gosh, Wendy must think he's a hopeless loser now. Doesn't she?

"Dude," Nate said, "that wasn't very cool of you. Why'd you do that?"

Robbie shrugged off the looks of disappointment. "It was a harmless suggestion, I am sure he has danced with his sister before. Heck, I've been to those parent-kid dance things before. Can't be much different than dancing with his sister."

His excuse was not flying with any of his friends, none of whom let up the looks, even as Soos called the dance competition over. As Mabel stepped over, she went straight to her brother, "you okay bro?"

"Yeah…" Dipper said "I… I gotta go to the bathroom."

He pulled out his cane and tried to leave as quickly as he could. Dipper didn't normally use his cane in the Shack but there were so many people around…. He didn't want to bump into anyone else.

As Dipper was walking away, he didn't get very far, seeing as Pacifica and her two goons had also stepped over. "So, what was that all about?"

Seeing the boy with his cane, Pacifica nodded at him, realizing the problem, having seen Robbie push him as they were behind Mabel, giving her a clearer view of the event.

The girl that was labeled Henchwoman 1 had a different idea when Pacifica paused in her questioning. "So the blind kid thought he could…"

Trish was immediately silenced, as Pacifica raised a hand for her to stop. "Cheap insults get you docked, Trish."

Trish (apparently her name was not Henchwoman 1, the more you know) looked slightly taken back, and a bit confused. "But, I thought we keep people in their place like that?"

Pacifica raised a brow at the girl. "I don't do 'cheap' anything. We're rich, not ableists."

The other friend shifted a bit, as Pacifica read her friend the right act. "Picking on a guy because he's blind, is like picking on me because I'm rich and beautiful. I don't really call what I do 'bullying', but calling people out for being weird."

Candy raised a hand, "that is still bullying."

Pacifica raised a brow, "is it? I call you out because you taped forks to your fingers, I call Grenda out because she brought a pet to a party. You shouldn't really be taping anything to your body like that, you could really damage your skin, while Grenda should have left her pet at home, the atmosphere here could be detrimental to it. Heck, even granny here with her sweater."

Mabel pouted. "What's wrong with my sweater?"

Pacifica raised a brow, "it looks ridiculous. Which is kind of a shame."

She stepped over and pulled on the sleeve, examining it. "It looks excellently made, pretty high quality stitching. Which raises the question on where you got it, because anywhere I know that sells that quality of stitching, wouldn't make something that looks so silly."

Mabel blushed at the unintentional praise. "I make all my sweaters myself."

Pacifica blinked, "and yet you choose to make them so ridiculous. Such a pity."

"Can you just get back to what you want?" Dipper asked, just wanting to slip away to hide in his room or the bathroom and lick his wounds. "Or are you just trying to be mean?"

Pacifica rolled her eyes. "I came over to simply see why someone would jump into a scene, before cowering out like you did. But I already got my answer, so."

Robbie took the chance to get another jab at Dipper. "Well, since you care enough to check on him, the little guy was just going to powder his nose."

Pacifica raised a brow. "So the restroom then, didn't think a smelly teen boy would recognize girl lingo for the bathroom. Maybe you aren't as badly trained as you look."

Robbie glared at the girl, even as the others giggled at him. As Pacifica shrugged it off, before she began to lead Dipper by his shoulder, the boy himself sounded slightly nervous as he questioned her. "What are you doing?"

"I also have to use the restroom, so I am helping you out, dork. Be grateful."

"Um okay… Thanks…" There was a pause "you know, I really don't need help. I do live here, at least for the summer."

"So you want to be smacking people with your cane?"

"I don't smack them" Dipper protested "at the most their foot gets lightly tapped."

As the two were walking away, Lee and Nate decided to hum a tune, Lee the funeral march, while Nate hummed the wedding march. Tambry looked at them, "you guys are out of sync there."

The two smirked, speaking in tandem. "Are we?"

Before anyone else could make comments, Mabel placed her hand on Tiffany's shoulder. "Last person to pick on my brother, I broke their foot. Next time you decide to run your mouth, I might break something of yours."

As Mabel spoke with a pleasant smile, Robbie shivered as he felt the unsent glare she had for him. Everyone else stared at the glitter covered girl in shock.

—-

Once he was led upstairs Dipper waited until the bathroom door shut (the rich girl had declared she was using it first) Dipper slipped into the kitchen to sulk and think back on his earlier embarrassment. After about ten minutes he heard the sound of someone pulling up a chair.

"Hey dude, thought you could use a soda."

"Wendy?" Dipper said, recognizing the teen's voice and blurry red hair. "What are you doing here?"

"Since you seem to be having a pity party" Wendy said "I thought I'd bring ya something to drink."

"I'm not having a pity party" he lied.

Wendy smirked as she prodded him with the can she had brought him. "Well, whatever this party is, I think it would be a lot less lonely with a friend. Although, we might want to do something to prank Lee and Nate."

Dipper raised his brow as he accepted the can of soda as Wendy explained. "They started to hum the wedding song as Pacifica took you away."

"Why would they do that?"

"They also hummed the funeral march, making it sound like you were walking to your death, because you were with Pacifica. Though the way they did it, implied teasing her for helping you. Like she was crushing on you. They were just being goofs in all honesty."

Dipper tried to chuckle but it came out wrong, it was pretty clear the boy was still upset.

Wendy pouted over her attempt failing, before she smiled. "Maybe after you're done with the bathroom, we can go listen to your sister sing. Maybe that will help cheer you up."

"I don't really need to use the bathroom," he admitted, "and I don't think I'll be going back in there anytime soon."

"Well, I guess Mabel will just have to sing about how she misses her brother."

Dipper rolled his eyes. "We didn't write a song about that, so she would have to…"

He immediately snapped his mouth shut as he realized his little slip up a little too late. "Dude, are you telling me you are a songwriter?"

"No!"

Dipper wasn't fast enough to deny, seeing as Mabel had overheard their chat. "Bro! Are you saying you're willing to finally talk about our family band? Are you going to perform with me?"

"I've already told you" Dipper sighed "I'm not singing with you. I don't even want to go back to the party, much less perform for them."

Mabel pouted. "Awww, come on bro, we would be amazing. Lacking a drummer doesn't make us any less amazing, we have been the best according to all the listeners back home."

Dipper rolled his eyes. "All those listeners have been your stuffed animals, our cat, our parents, and Grandpa Shermie when he visits for Thanksgiving. Not only are we off beat, especially without a drummer, but I have stage fright."

The group heard Lee from the doorway. "Just imagine everyone in their underwear, works for me whenever I'm nervous."

"How can I do that when I can't see them?" Dipper deadpanned "and before you ask, no, me not seeing the crowd doesn't help with the stage fright." In fact, him not seeing people's reactions only made it worse, but he wasn't about to tell them that.

Robbie was the next one to speak, "just let the brat have his way. Not everyone can be a star."

Everyone could just feel the arrogance rolling off him. Ignoring the fact that he was in a band and could play the guitar, he was terrible at writing song lyrics. Dipper startled at Robbie's words, thinking that he was still with the rest of the party.

Tambry cleared her throat. "Well, whether you plan to or not, Pacifica is already doing her song. So Mabel has a pretty short window to decide on what she is going to do."

Mabel looked at Dipper. "I would love nothing more than to have you join me on stage and sing one of our songs bro. But if you really don't want to, I do have a backup plan. It won't be as awesome, but it is a plan."

He let out a long sigh "... fine. But I'm not singing and I'm sitting in the corner. I want as few people looking at me as possible."

Mabel smiled widely as Lee and Nate came up behind Dipper and gave him encouraging shoulder nudges, hooting and what not, calling him 'Dr. Funtimes'. "So, one of my solo songs? I would have loved to sing the Trowsette song, the one you wrote for that game Superb Bario Siblings. But that has you singing in it as well, and not much piano other than the game tune you added as reference."

Feeling the questioning looks, partly because Lee and Nate were right next to him as they turned to him, Dipper shrugged. "Mabel was in a phase where she was designing characters as the opposite gender, and one of the scenarios she thought up was if Trowser was a girl that kidnapped Princess Tangerine to get Bario's attention. Mabel calls me the songwriter, but we both work on the songs."

Mabel shook her head. "Bro, you are the one that makes the words make sense. I am just the inspiration."

Wendy chuckled, "you would still have to print out a music sheet, but I think I can help with your drummer problem."

Robbie turned to her in shock. "Hey, you turned me down when I asked you to join my band."

"Yeah, but you don't need two drummers, and they don't have a drummer at all. If Jerry got sick, or couldn't make it for one of your shows, I honestly would be willing to step in to help out my friends." Wendy's words made Robbie cross his arms in a pout and lean into the wall. Glaring at the twins, Dipper specifically, when he felt no one was looking.

Hearing the song Pacifica was singing reaching what felt like a midpoint, Mabel rushed to her room, grabbing one of her colorful binders, and rushing back down. "Well, it isn't easy to write up songs, and it's even harder when Dipper has to be the only one working on them. But my creativity and ingenuity, plus his intellect and wordly knowledge, we have crafted a couple songs."

It helped that Dipper was really good at writing, he had a way with words. Though he mostly used his writing skills for homework assignments and the occasional short story.

Wendy took and looked over the papers Mabel was pulling out and showing her. Apparently, she enjoyed sharing these, but only when Dipper was willing to talk about it. Which was ironic, seeing as she was all willing to spill the beans about the 'Lamby, Lamby Dance.' She should lead with this in all honesty, so much cool.

Mabel suddenly had a brilliant idea. "Hey, I know what song I'm gonna sing."

As Soos was calling them for their turn, Mabel grabbed her brother and Wendy, she was quick to drag them onto the stage, where she proceeded to run around like the Wily Coyote setting up a trap, and suddenly had Wendy center back of the stage, and Dipper was in the back corner out of the spotlight, while the boy was running his fingers over the keys, feeling the small rhinestones placed in braille.

He didn't actually need the braille there, having learned enough to be able to play adequately enough without them. But as everyone was telling him to give up learning, teachers and tutors being too uncertain and nervous to teach a blind student, his lack of encouragement, caused him to lose hope, and his parents didn't understand how to help.

Mabel, being the person she was, was able to stop all negative thoughts, and went and did something to prove she would be there every step to help him. She had reignited his own enjoyment, and kept him from losing hope again. His sister told him she would always be there to light his vision when he needed it most, and she has always done her best.

He couldn't ask for a better sister.

Wendy leaned back in her chair and was relaxing as Mabel set up the drum set for her. If the girl wanted to do all this, she wasn't going to get in her way. So she spent the time going over the song Mabel selected.

Mabel stopped by Dipper and told him the song she chose. It was one of her favorites and was by one of his favorite bands. Dipper smiled at her for thinking of him.

After setting up the stage Mabel moved to stand front and center. "This song is a call out for one of our favorite bands, not their top song, but it is a good one. Let's go Dipper!"

As Dipper started playing the keyboard calmly, as soon as he picked up the pace, he was joined by Wendy on the drums and Mabel playing a guitar. Nobody really paid attention to the laptop that was playing a flute program for the missing instrument.

Mabel looked to really like to sway back and forth, as Wendy sang as well as she could for backup, and she wasn't too bad, but you could tell she didn't like to sing. The main vocals however, sung by Mabel, were sung as if practiced often.

Mabel enjoyed singing with her brother, and despite what he says, Dipper did enjoy singing with her, and wasn't half bad with how often they practiced. Dipper joined her often, simply because she joined him in a lot of what he wanted to practice.

Mabel had focused on guitar, but she had wound up learning a little piano with him to help with labeling his keyboard.

As the song was reaching the end, during the ending piano solo, she pulled her guitar off, and shouted. "Watch me do a flip!" And as she tried and flopped face first down, she shouted once more as she raised a fist from her prone position. "That was for you guys!"

Dipper didn't see it, but he certainly heard the reactions. Mabel was always the life of any party. Some wanted to take a party to an eleven or twelve, but she would just respond they were already taking it to the Mabel level.

As the song came to an end, Mabel, this time with help from the teens, moved the instruments off the stage, setting them in the corner for now. As the crowd's cheering settled, the teens were congratulating the three, talking about how awesome they were. Dipper spluttered and blushed but managed to get out a 'thank you' before hurrying off to try and get some punch.

Robbie was still pouting, as Pacifica was stepping over to be prepared to step up and claim the crown. Mabel turned to the girl and extended her hand. "This has been fun, no hard feelings if I win?"

Pacifica looked at the hand, before shrugging. "I will be the winner, but I guess I won't have hard feelings if miracles happen."

Soos called the two contestants up, the girls looking somewhat happy as they stood to the man's sides. "Those who vote for Mabel, make some noise dudes."

After giving them all a bit of a chance to cheer, raising his right hand, the one next to her. "Now cheer if you vote for Pacifica."

As several people cheered, they weren't very enthusiastic, until Pacifica glared at them. And as Soos called a tie, Pacifica looked over to see old man Mcguckit. As the girl was arguing with herself if she should go through with the plan that just popped into her head.

Before she could even start, Mabel stepped up to her. "Hey, with things being a draw, maybe that's for the best. You can take the crown, me and Soos can always make a second for me later."

Pacifica shifted slightly, thinking hard about something from what Mabel could tell. Pacifica reached a hand forward. "Alright, I don't see a problem with that."

Mabel took notice of the look in Pacifica's eyes. Stan has done a good enough job teaching her to read people's tells, after teaching Dipper boxing, and she is using those recent skills a good amount tonight.

Pacifica was afraid of something, nervous, and at the end, when she gave her the crown, handing over proof of her victory, she noticed the sheer amount of relief, and that kind of scared her.

Mabel is going to start carrying a bat around, and when she meets the person that causes those emotions in the girl, she might be breaking some legs.

As everyone was heading off for some after party on the girl's yacht, the only people left besides the twins were Soos, Wendy, Tambry, Thompson, Candy and Grenda. Apparently, a party on a yacht was too tempting for the other three boys of their teen group.

Stan was walking through as he was counting the money, smacking a small stack in Dipper's hand. "Your scam worked wonderfully kid, maybe one of these days I will let you run a tour or two once you get better."

Mabel asked Soos to continue DJing for their own after party, the man being all too happy to continue being the DJ. Wendy pouted at Stan. "Hey, I was a part of that scam, where's my share?"

Stan just gave her a serious look. "You're too lazy to think of that plan, you would've accepted partial payment if it meant you didn't have to read too much. He technically also scammed you into doing more work, since you were actually checking the bills."

As Wendy stared into the distance, Stan walked past her as he continued. "I am almost a hundred percent certain it was he who came up with the idea as well. If he wasn't going blind, you would have ditched him long before you two tried to scam me."

Wendy grumbled as her two friends, who were still there, laughed. Dipper tried to hand her a share, until the teen pushed it back towards him. "Keep it dude, Stan pretty much nailed the situation on its head. I can't really deny the accusation, seeing as I've ditched work when no one was there to cover for me before. Besides, I at least get paid every week, he uses you as free labor, man."

Firstly, I would like to apologize for missing our post schedule, I have not been having a very good time the last two weeks or so. I have been coughing to the point that I get headaches and have just been in a slight rut myself.

I am under the impression that Isabel has just been busy, especially with working on the season finale for her story Carpe Diem. I just couldn't step up when I was needed to because sickness hit me, so we fell a little behind schedule.

I hope this chapter was a fun read and look forward to all your guys' responses.

Also, during the party scene, me and Isabel had figured the song Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man after Midnight), by ABBA, would be a cool reference.
